Taylor Swift Eras Tour Capital One Cardholder Presale Wednesday, November 16  | 2 p.m. local venue time

To best access the Taylor Swift Eras Tour Capital One Cardholder Presale ticket queues, fans should log into their Ticketmaster account and click on the link for your preferred dates below.

This email is to confirm your details and that we successfully received your registration. It doesn’t, however, guarantee you’ll receive an invitation to purchase tickets. On Monday, November 14, you’ll receive an email with additional information about your invitation status.

Does getting an access code mean I will get tickets?

No. Only fans who have been verified and invited to shop by receiving an access code will have the opportunity to purchase tickets during the TaylorSwiftTix Presale powered by Verified Fan.

Receiving an access code means that you’ll have the opportunity to shop for tickets. However, the ability to purchase tickets is determined by supply and demand, and is not guaranteed. Tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis.

If selected, fans will also receive a text message to the phone number provided during registration. This text will include a unique access code and a link to shop. Keep an eye out for this text and be careful not to accidentally delete it.

Taylor Swift Nashville concert review: 5 moments from her return on the 'Eras' tour

Believe the hype.

The 'Eras' tour arrived Friday in Nashville with a mountain of expectations. Three nights in a stadium? In the city where her career started? After a mad dash for tickets? And it's her first major tour in nearly five years?

A normal entertainer may balk at these stakes. But Taylor Swift isn't like other entertainers.

Music City's three-night run on the most talked-about tour of the year kicked off Friday inside Nissan Stadium with record-smashing singalongs, show-stopping duets and an only-in-Nashville surprise. Behind Swift's unmatched ambition and sharp-eyed fanfare, it was the kind of show that'll be talked about long after the final song ended.

Not too bad for a girl who moved to Hendersonville nearly two decades ago to chase her songwriting dreams.

Taylor Swift in Nashville: What surprise songs did she song on storm-delayed night 3?

"This dream that I've had since I was so little I can't even remember first having it, this dream came true for me because of this town and the people in it and the love and nurturing and support I received from this town," she said to kick off Friday's show. "I can't tell you how many feelings I have right now."

Her marathon era

Like the name suggests, Swift covers so much ground in this show. With a 45-song set spanning 10 albums in nearly three-and-a-half hours, 'Eras' embraces a marathoner spirit typically reserved for catch-'em-while-you-can rock icons like Bruce Springsteen and Paul McCartney.

But unlike blasting "Born To Run" or leading a spontaneous singalong to "Hey Jude," Swift choreographs her set like a conductor would lead an orchestra or a director would deliver a musical. Each moving part — dancers, band members, set pieces — plays a role in telling a story of the "era" being chronicled on stage.

Backed by towering screens and flanked by her reliable dancers, Swift opened the show by inviting her audience into the rainbow-drenched songs of 2019 album "Lover" before donning a sun-soaked dress in a callback to 2008's "Fearless" and embracing a J.R.R. Tolkien-like fantasy for a handful of spellbinding cuts from 2020 album "Evermore." She traveled through the eras in distinct acts with full and abridged songs — like a stadium-sized Broadway production that at one moment soaked the audience in red lighting and backdrops (because, you know, "Red") before recreating a fireside hang for the folk-tinged "Betty" and other songs off Grammy Award-winning album "Folklore."

She offered a fresh spin on well-worn eras — sometimes literally, like when her backup dancers rode beach cruisers across the stage during "Blank Space" — and gave plenty of attention to the four (!!!) albums released since she last embarked on a coast-to-coast tour, including "Anti-Hero," "Bejeweled" and more from the set-closing "Midnights" era.

Her record-breaking era

Swift invited plenty of company to join Friday night's career-spanning adventure. An audience of nearly 70,500 attended the show, setting a single-night Nissan Stadium attendance record, eclipsing past concerts and professional sporting events.

"Oh my beloved Nashville, you're making me feel so good right now," Swift said early in the show. "Tonight is the highest-attended event to take place in the stadium because 70,000 of you decided to hang with us this evening."

And the benchmark may not hold for long. With two more shows slated for this weekend, Swift could break her own record before leaving town.

Her fans' era

They dress for the occasion. They sing along to every word (even when it's 10-minute redux of "All Too Well"). They don't leave the stands until the last note rings out. Beyond songwriter, Swift's superpower may be the dedicated fandom that'll follow her through each cryptic clue, ticketing rush and re-recorded album.

On Friday, these so-called Swifties turned out with bejeweled eye pieces (because "Bejeweled"), head-to-toe cloaks (because "Willow"), snake-covered t-shirts (because "Reputation") and tie-dye pastels (because "Lover"). Some came ready to hear songs that climbed the charts before they were born, while others reveled in re-living eras from life's formative years.

And as each new song kicked in, they jumped at a chance to shout each word — like a group of friends passing around the aux cable on a late night filled with unforgettable songs. Only instead of a designated DJ, they're singing along with Swift.

Or, as Swift described her crowd at one point Friday night: "You guys are, like, on fire."

Her surprise era

After weeks of  well-placed clues and TikTok-fueled speculation , Taylor Swift confirmed Friday — mid-show, no less — which album comes next in her expansive "Taylor's Version" project: "Speak Now."

"I've been planning something for a while," Swift said as the Friday night audience exploded with applause. "It's my love language with you. I plot. I scheme. I plan. And then I get to tell you about it."

As the album title and July 7 release date flashed across the stadium screen, she added: "I think, rather than me speaking about it ... I'd rather just show you."

Swift put a bow on the "Taylor's Version" unveiling with an acoustic rendition of "Sparks Fly," a 2011 single off "Speak Now" before taking audience members back to her self-titled debut album with a piano-backed rendition of 2006's "Teardrops On My Guitar."

"Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" wasn't the only time Swift surprised her fans on Friday night, either. The singer enlisted "Eras" tour opener and indie-rock favorite Phoebe Bridgers for an acoustic duet of "Nothing New," a song the two released together on 2021's "Red (Taylor's Version)."

"This is a regular day in my life," Bridgers quipped as she stepped up the microphone hours after performing her own set.

Swift replied, "I feel the same, getting to sing this song with you for the very first time in a sold-out stadium."

Her openers' era

Bridgers played main support Friday, her first night on the "Eras" tour. As on-and-off rain covered the expansive stage, the singer-songwriter and her five-piece band ripped through dad-dedicated favorite "Kyoto," the sobering "Graceland Too" and other cuts from 2020 album "Punisher."

And the first surprise of the night came during Bridgers' set, when she invited Lucy Dacus and Nashville's own Julien Baker — AKA indie supergroup Boygenius — on stage to sing the trio's new single "Not Strong Enough." Running up and down the stage together, the Boygenius members backed Bridgers through her set-closing number "I Know The End."

"We gotta talk about this," Swift said during her set. "You got to see a genius, a friend ... our creative savoir. I can't believe [Phoebe's] on tour with us."

Taylor Swift Taps Paramore for European Eras Tour Run

Taylor Swift knows we need more — so she’s giving us just that. The singer has added 14 more shows to the European/U.K. leg of her Eras Tour , and announced that Paramore will provide support throughout the trek.

“Really can’t contain my excitement because… we’re adding 14 new shows to The Eras Tour,” Swift wrote on Twitter Wednesday, July 5. “And I get to travel the world doing shows with @paramore !! Hayley and I have been friends since we were teens in Nashville and now we get to frolic around the UK/Europe next summer??? I’m screaming???”

Last month, Swift added dozens of shows to her Taylor Swift: The Eras stadium tour — bringing the total count of shows to a whooping 104 nights . She also extended her run at Los Angeles’ So-Fi Stadium with a sixth show scheduled for Aug. 7.

The new addition comes after the singer announced shows in Japan, Australia, Singapore, and Europe earlier this week. (See below for the full tour dates.)

“EXCUSE ME HI I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY 🙋‍♀️,” she wrote on Instagram. “I can’t wait to see so many of you on The Eras Tour next year at these new international dates!”

She also added more dates to her already-announced Latin America tour. After wrapping her U.S. dates in Los Angeles on Aug. 9, Swift will head to Mexico City for four straight shows at Foro Sol starting Aug. 24. She’ll then stop in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and both Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo in Brazil in November.

Swift first announced the tour last October after she completely took over the Billboard Hot 100 top 10 with Midnights . The added dates, which follow the addition of eight new shows last week, were slotted in “due to unprecedented demand,” according to the singer’s camp.

“Good Morning America, it’s Taylor,” Swift said during the announcement. “I wanted to tell you something that I’ve been so excited about for a really long time and I’ve been planning for ages, and I finally get to tell you I’m going back on tour. The tour is called the ‘Eras’ tour, and it’s a journey through all of my musical eras of my career.”

The tour began on March 17 in Glendale, Arizona and extends through Aug. 9, where the singer will wrap with a fifth night at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. Swift still has stops left in Detroit, Minneapolis, Cincinnati, Seattle, and Santa Clara.

Across the tour, Swift is being supported in select cities by a combination of special guests including Paramore, beabadoobee, Phoebe Bridgers, girl in red, MUNA, HAIM, GAYLE, Gracie Abrams, and OWENN.

The Eras tour follows the cancelation of her planned 2020 Lover Fest tour, which was originally going to see her make stadium stops in Los Angeles, Boston, and New York, along with Brazil, Denmark, Norway, and Poland. “This is an unprecedented pandemic that has changed everyone’s plans and no one knows what the touring landscape is going to look like in the near future,” she wrote in 2021.

Swift last went the road in 2018 for her massive Reputation Stadium Tour , which saw Swift accompanied by the likes of Charli XCX and Camila Cabello across the United States, the United Kingdom, along with Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. The tour was the highest-grossing music tour by a female artist that year.

Since her last tour, Swift has released four albums and two re-releases: Lover , Folklore , Evermore , Midnights , and Taylor’s Version editions of Fearless and Red with additional songs. In total, she’s dropped 90 tracks of new material, not including collaborations with the likes of Haim and Big Red Machine.

Fans have long wondered what music she’ll be performing on the road, with some theorizing that she’d host a residency in Las Vegas or a music festival where she’d perform different “eras” on different nights.

Along with packing her setlist with songs from Reputation in 2018, she surprised each city with an acoustic rendition of fan favorites like “Red,” “Holy Ground,” and “Wildest Dreams.” At select shows, she also brought out special guests. Shawn Mendes, Selena Gomez, Hayley Kiyoko, and Maren Morris were among the artists to be brought out by Swift.

The stadium tour was accompanied by a concert film released on New Year’s Eve that year.

She previously took her 1989 album on the road for 85 dates, where she was accompanied by the likes of Mendes, James Bay, Vance Joy, and Haim. Before then was The Red Tour in 2013 and 2014, and her Speak Now World Tour from 2011 to 2012.

5 Reasons Why Taylor Swift's Eras Tour Will Be The Most Legendary Of Her Generation

Whether she's breaking records or breaking Ticketmaster, Taylor Swift has proven time and again that she's one of the most powerful figures in modern music — and the Eras Tour is a manifestation of that.

Since the moment Taylor Swift announced the Eras Tour, there was no denying that it was going to be the tour of the year. From playing impressive two- and three-night stands at stadiums across the country to crashing Ticketmaster upon just the presale, the Eras Tour was making headlines before it even began.

But after witnessing it in person, it's clear that Swift is not just delivering the tour of the year — it's the tour of her generation. 

Sure, Beyoncé fans can't wait for her tour this summer; Harry Styles is about to embark on the final leg of his highly successful Love On Tour trek; BLACKPINK sold out stadiums around the country too. Yet, it's hard to imagine that any other tour this year will have a cultural impact as big as the Eras Tour — something that's wildly apparent whether or not you were there.

Even before Swift hit the stage for her first night at Nashville's Nissan Stadium on May 5, her influence was felt. Practically every fan of the 70,000 in attendance (a record for the venue — more on that later) was wearing some sort of reference to their favorite Swift era: a beloved lyric, or an iconic performance or music video look. While that's not necessarily a new trend in the Swiftie world, seeing all 10 of her eras represented throughout a stadium-sized crowd was equal parts meaningful and remarkable. 

As someone who has been to hundreds of tours and most of Swift's — including the Reputation Tour, which I naively referred to as " the peak of her career " — I didn't think this one would feel much different than a typical stadium show. But even when Swift was just a few songs in of her impressive three-and-a-half hour set, a feeling came over me like I wasn't just watching one of music's greats — I was part of music history.

Below, here are five reasons why the Eras Tour will go down as one of the most iconic of Swift's generation.

It's Treated Like A Holiday

In the week leading up to the shows and over the weekend, Nashville was abundant with special events in Swift's honor. From Taylor-themed trivia nights to pre- and post-show dance parties to wine lists transformed into "eras," practically every place you went was commemorating her return (she last performed in Nashville in 2018). 

While it's unclear whether this kind of takeover is happening in every city — after all, she does consider Nashville a hometown, as she said on stage — it's rare to see an artist have such a ripple effect by simply just coming to town.

During her May 5 show, Swift added to the excitement by sharing the highly anticipated news that Speak Now (Taylor's Version) was coming on July 7. Upon the announcement, three of Nashville's monuments — the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge, the Tennessee State Capitol and the Alliance Bernstein building downtown — were illuminated in purple , the album's color.

It's Breaking Records Left And Right

Though Swift is no stranger to breaking records , she continues to do so with the Eras Tour. After setting the all-time attendance record at Nissan Stadium on night one of her Nashville run, Swift topped herself (something has become accustomed to on the charts as well) with another attendance record on night two.

And despite the controversial ticketing frenzy the tour caused, Swift also broke a Ticketmaster record with more than 2.4 million tickets sold — the most by an artist in a single day — in the presale alone. If Swift announces an international leg of the tour, Pollstar projects that the Eras Tour could surpass $1 billion, which would add yet another first to her ever-growing list.

It's Spawned Parking Lot Parties

As if history-making attendance and record-breaking ticket sales aren't indication enough of Swift's power, the Eras Tour is so highly in-demand that fans are sitting outside of the venue to still be part of the show (as some fans have cleverly called it, "Taylorgating"). Fans crowded barricades and camped out in the parking lot of Nissan Stadium, ready to watch (and scream-sing along with) Swift on the big screen — something that has seemingly been happening in every city.

It Can't Be Stopped By The Elements

Adding to the magnitude of the Eras Tour, Swift performs 45 songs across three and a half hours. And to make her last night in Nashville even more momentous, she did almost all of that in pouring rain.

Swift didn't get to take the stage until after 10 p.m. on May 7 because of storms in the area (she normally goes on around 7:50 local time), but that didn't mean she'd be shortening her set. Carrying on until after 1:30 a.m. — even through the "element of slippiness happening," as she joked — Swift made it clear that she's determined to give each show her all regardless of the weather.

It's Simply A Feel-Good Celebration

Perhaps it was the five-year gap between the last time she toured. Perhaps it was the four new albums of material. Perhaps it was the celebratory nature of the show. Whatever inspired the vibe of the Eras Tour, I've never seen Taylor Swift or her fans so alive. The passion was tangible, the energy was magnetic.

Though Swift has always been known as an artist with a very loyal following, it was still mind-blowing to hear 70,000 people belt out every word for three hours straight. There aren't many artists whose catalogs are as equally beloved as they are extensive, especially one who hasn't even seen her 34th birthday. No matter how many albums and tours are in Swift's future, the Eras Tour captures a special moment in time — and celebrates a legend in her prime.

From Paul McCartney to Paramore, Emily Dickinson and even "Game of Thrones," read on for some of the major influences Taylor Swift has referenced throughout her GRAMMY-winning career.

As expected, much buzz followed the release of Taylor Swift 's 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department , on April 19. Fans and critics alike have devoured the sprawling double album’s 31 tracks, unpacking her reflections from "a fleeting and fatalistic moment in time" in search of Easter eggs, their new favorite lyrics and references to famous faces (both within the pop supernova’s closely guarded orbit and the historical record). 

Shoutouts abound in The Tortured Poets Department : Charlie Puth gets his much-deserved (and Taylor-approved) flowers on the title track, while 1920s screen siren Clara Bow, the ancient Greek prophetess Cassandra and Peter Pan each get a song titled after them. Post Malone and   Florence + the Machine ’s Florence Welch each tap in for memorable duets. Stevie Nicks

If Taylor Swift is the chairman of The Tortured Poets Department , Stevie Nicks may as well be considered its poet laureate emeritus. The mystical Fleetwood Mac frontwoman earns an important mention on side A closer "Clara Bow," in which Swift ties an invisible string from herself to a pre- Rumours Nicks ("In ‘75, the hair and lips/ Crowd goes wild at her fingertips"), and all the way back to the 1920s It Girl of the song’s title.

For her part, Nicks seems to approve of her place in Swift’s cultural lineage, considering she penned the poem found inside physical copies of The Tortured Poets Department . "He was in love with her/ Or at least she thought so," the Priestess of Rock and Roll wrote in part, before signing off, "For T — and me…"

Swift’s relationship with Nicks dates back to the 2010 GRAMMYs, when the pair performed a medley of "Rhiannon" and "You Belong With Me " before the then-country upstart took home her first Album Of The Year win for 2009’s Fearless . More recently, the "Edge of Seventeen" singer publicly credited Swift’s Midnights cut "You’re On Your Own, Kid" for helping her through the 2022 death of Fleetwood Mac bandmate Christine McVie .

Patti Smith

Swift may see herself as more "modern idiot" than modern-day Patti Smith, but that didn’t stop the superstar from name-dropping the icon synonymous with the Hotel Chelsea and punk scene of ‘70s New York on a key track on The Tortured Poets Department . Swift rather self-deprecatingly compares herself to the celebrated Just Kids memoirist (and 2023 Songwriters Hall of Fame nominee) on the double album’s synth-drenched title track, and it’s easy to see how Smith’s lifelong fusion of rock and poetry influenced the younger singer’s dactylic approach to her new album. 

Smith seemed to appreciate the shout-out on "The Tortured Poets Department" as well. "This is saying I was moved to be mentioned in the company of the great Welsh poet Dylan Thomas. Thank you Taylor," she wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of herself reading Thomas’ 1940 poetry collection Portrait of the Artist as a Young Dog .

Emily Dickinson

When it comes to iconic poets, Swift has also taken a page or two over her career from Emily Dickinson. While the great 19th century poet hasn’t come up explicitly in Swift’s work, she did reference her poetic forebear (and actual sixth cousin, three times removed !) in her speech while accepting the award for Songwriter-Artist of the Decade at the 2022 Nashville Songwriter Awards.

"I’ve never talked about this publicly before, because, well, it’s dorky. But I also have, in my mind, secretly, established genre categories for lyrics I write. Three of them, to be exact. They are affectionately titled Quill Lyrics, Fountain Pen Lyrics and Glitter Gel Pen Lyrics," Swift told the audience before going on to explain, "If my lyrics sound like a letter written by Emily Dickinson’s great-grandmother while sewing a lace curtain, that’s me writing in the Quill genre," she went on to explain.

Even before this glimpse into Swift’s writing process, Easter eggs had been laid pointing to her familial connection to Dickinson. For example, she announced her ninth album evermore on December 10, 2020, which would have been the late poet’s 190th birthday. Another clue that has Swifties convinced? Dickinson’s use of the word "forevermore" in her 1858 poem "One Sister Have I in Our House," which Swift also cleverly breaks apart in Evermore ’s Bon Iver-assisted title track ("And I couldn’t be sure/ I had a feeling so peculiar/ That this pain would be for/ Evermore").

The Lake Poets

Swift first put her growing affinity for poetry on display during her folklore era with "the lakes." On the elegiac bonus track, the singer draws a parallel with the Lake Poets of the 19th century, wishing she could escape to "the lakes where all the poets went to die" with her beloved muse in tow. In between fantasizing about "those Windermere peaks" and pining for "auroras and sad prose," she even manages to land a not-so-subtle jab at nemesis Scooter Braun ("I’ve come too far to watch some name-dropping sleaze/ Tell me what are my words worth") that doubles as clever wordplay on the last name of Lake Poet School members William and Dorothy Wordsworth.

Swift revealed more about why she connected to the Lake Poets in her 2020 Disney+ documentary folklore: the long pond studio sessions . "There was a poet district, these artists that moved there. And they were kind of heckled for it and made fun of for it as being these eccentrics and these kind of odd artists who decided that they just wanted to live there," she explained to her trusted producer Jack Antonoff . "So ‘the lakes,’ it kind of is the overarching theme of the whole album: of trying to escape, having something you wanna protect, trying to protect your own sanity and saying, ‘Look, they did this hundreds of years ago. I’m not the first person who’s felt this way.’"

Paul McCartney

Paul McCartney and Swift have publicly praised one another’s work for years, leading to the 2020 Rolling Stone cover they posed for together for the special Musicians on Musicians issue . The younger singer even counts Sir Paul’s daughter Stella McCartney as a close friend and collaborator (Stella designed a capsule collection for Swift’s 2019 studio set Lover and earned a shout-out of her own on album cut "London Boy").

However, Swift took her relationship with the Beatles founder and his family a step further when it was rumored she based Midnights deep cut "Sweet Nothing" on McCartney’s decades-long romance with late wife Linda. While the speculation has never been outright confirmed, it appears Swift’s lyrics in the lilting love song ("On the way home, I wrote a poem/ You say, ‘What a mind’/ This happens all the time") were partially inspired by a strikingly similar quote McCartney once gave about his relationship with Linda, who passed away in 1998. To add to the mystique, the Midnights singer even reportedly liked a tweet from 2022 espousing the theory.  

The admiration between the duo seems to go both ways as well, with the former Beatle admitting in a 2018 BBC profile that the track "Who Cares" from his album Egypt Station was inspired by Swift’s close relationship with her fans.

From her days as a country music ingénue to her ascendance as the reigning mastermind of pop, Swift has credited the Chicks as a seminal influence in her songwriting and career trajectory. (Need examples? Look anywhere from early singles like "Picture to Burn" and "Should’ve Said No" to Evermore ’s Haim-assisted murder ballad "no body, no crime" and her own Lover -era collab with the band, "Soon You’ll Get Better.") 

In a 2020 Billboard cover story tied to the Chicks’ eighth album Gaslighter , Swift acknowledged just how much impact the trio made on her growing up. "Early in my life, these three women showed me that female artists can play their own instruments while also putting on a flamboyant spectacle of a live show," she said at the time. "They taught me that creativity, eccentricity, unapologetic boldness and kitsch can all go together authentically. Most importantly, they showed an entire generation of girls that female rage can be a bonding experience between us all the very second we first heard Natalie Maines bellow ‘that Earl had to DIE.’"

"Game of Thrones"

When reputation dropped in 2017, Swift was on a self-imposed media blackout, which meant no cover stories or dishy sit-down interviews on late-night TV during the album’s roll-out. Instead, the singer let reputation speak for itself, and fans were largely left to draw their own conclusions about their queen’s wildly anticipated comeback album. Two years later, though, Swift revealed the dark, vengeful, romantic body of work was largely inspired by "Game of Thrones."

"These songs were half based on what I was going through, but seeing them through a 'Game of Thrones' filter," she told Entertainment Weekly in 2019. "My entire outlook on storytelling has been shaped by ["GoT"] — the ability to foreshadow stories, to meticulously craft cryptic story lines. So, I found ways to get more cryptic with information and still be able to share messages with the fans. I aspire to be one one-millionth of the kind of hint dropper the makers of 'Game of Thrones' have been."

Joni Mitchell

Swift has long made her admiration of Joni Mitchell known, dating back to her 2012 album Red , which took a cue from the folk pioneer’s landmark 1971 LP Blue for its chromatic title. In an interview around the time of Red ’s release, the country-pop titan gushed over Blue ’s impact on her, telling Rhapsody, "[Mitchell] wrote it about her deepest pains and most haunting demons. Songs like ‘River,’ which is just about her regrets and doubts of herself — I think this album is my favorite because it explores somebody’s soul so deeply."

Back in 2015, TIME declared the "Blank Space" singer a "disciple of Mitchell in ways both obvious and subtle" — from her reflective songwriting to the complete ownership over her creative process, and nearly 10 years later, Swift was still showing her appreciation for Mitchell after the latter’s triumphant and emotional appearance on the GRAMMY stage to perform "Both Sides Now" on the very same night Taylor took home her historic fourth GRAMMY for Album Of The Year for Midnights .

Fall Out Boy & Paramore

When releasing the re-recording of her third album Speak Now in 2023, Swift cited two unexpectedly emo acts as inspirations to her early songwriting: Fall Out Boy and Paramore . 

"Since Speak Now was all about my songwriting, I decided to go to the artists who I feel influenced me most powerfully as a lyricist at that time and ask them to sing on the album," she wrote in an Instagram post revealing the back cover and complete tracklist for Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) , which included Fall Out Boy collaboration "Electric Touch" and "Castles Crumbling" featuring Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams .

For one of Swift’s original career inspirations, we have to go all the way back to the very first single she ever released. "Tim McGraw" was not only as the lead single off the 16-year-old self-titled 2006 debut album, but it also paid reverent homage to one of the greatest living legends in the history of country music. 

In retrospect, it was an incredibly gutsy risk for a then-unknown Swift to come raring out of the gate with a song named after a country superstar. But the gamble clearly paid off in spades, considering that now, when an entire generation of music fans hear "Tim McGraw," they think of Taylor Swift.

Upon the arrival of Taylor Swift's 'The Tortured Poets Department,' take a deep dive into her discography and see how each album helped her become the genre-shifting superstar she is today.

The world now knows Taylor Swift as a global pop superstar, but back in 2006, she was just a doe-eyed country prodigy. Since then, she's released 11 studio albums, re-recorded four as "Taylor's Version," and cultivated one of the most feverish fan bases in music. Oh, and she's also won 14 GRAMMY Awards, including four for Album Of The Year — the most ever won by an artist.

Swift has become one of music's most notable shapeshifters by refusing to limit herself to one genre, moving between country, pop, folk and beyond. A once-in-a-lifetime generational storyteller, one could argue that she is music's modern-day maverick, constantly evolving both her music and the culture around her.

Every album era has seen Swift reinvent herself over and over, which has helped pave the way for artists to explore other musical avenues. In turn, Swift hasn't just become one of the biggest artists of all time — she's changed pop music altogether.

To celebrate Taylor Swift's newest era with The Tortured Poets Department , GRAMMY.com looks back on all of her albums (Taylor's Versions not included) and how each era shaped her remarkable career.

Taylor Swift : Finding Her Place In Music

In a genre dominated by men, the odds were already stacked against Swift when she first broke into country music as a teenage female artist. The thing that differentiated her from other writers — and still does to this day — is her songwriting. She didn't want to be just "another girl singer" and knew writing her own songs would be what set her apart. 

Written throughout her adolescence, Taylor Swift was recorded at the end of 2005 and finalized by the time Swift finished her freshman year of high school. Serving as a snapshot of Swift's life and teenhood, she avoided songwriting stereotypes typically found in country music. Instead, she wanted to capture the years of her life while they still represented what she was going through, writing about what she was observing and experiencing, from love and friendship to feeling like an outsider. 

As a songwriter, Taylor Swift set the tone for what would be expected of her future recordings — all songs were written by her, some solely and others with one or two co-writers. One writer in particular, Liz Rose , applauded Swift's songwriting capabilities, stating that she was more of an "editor" for the songs because Swift already had such a distinct vision. 

The album's lead single, "Tim McGraw," an acoustic country ballad inspired by Swift knowing her relationship was going to end, represents an intricate part of Swift's songwriting process; meticulously picking apart her emotions to better understand them. With its follow-up, "Our Song" — which spent six consecutive weeks on the top of Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart — she became the youngest person to solely write and sing a No. 1 country single; she also became the first female solo artist in country music to write or co-write every song on an album. 

Although Swift's eponymous debut is underappreciated now — even lacking its own set on Swift's Eras Tour — Taylor Swift 's forthcoming rerecording is arguably the most anticipated by fans, who are eager to hear the songs with the singer's current and more refined vocals. Still, for fans who haven't properly explored Taylor Swift , it's easy to tie together Swift's earlier work to her current discography. 

On the track "A Place In This World," a song she wrote when she was just 13, Swift sings about not fitting in and trying to find her path. While her songwriting has developed and matured, feeling like an outsider and carving her own path is a theme she still writes about now, as seen on Midnights ' "You're On Your Own, Kid." 

Even as a new country artist, critics claimed that she "mastered" the genre while subsequently ushering it to a new era — one that would soon see Swift dabble in country-pop. 

Fearless : Creating A Different Kind Of Fairytale

If Taylor Swift was the soundtrack to navigating the early stages of teenhood, Fearless is Swift's coming-of-age record. More than its predecessor, Fearless blurs the line between country and pop thanks to crossover hits like "Love Story" and "You Belong With Me," yet still keeps the confessional attributes known in country songwriting. 

Most of Fearless is Swift coming to terms with what she believed love to be. On the album's liner notes, Swift says Fearless is about "living in spite" of the things that scare you, like falling in love again despite being hurt before or walking away and letting go. The 2008 version of Taylor wanted to "believe in love stories and prince charmings and happily ever after," whereas in Swift's Fearless (Taylor's Version) liner notes, she looks back on the album as a diary where she was learning "tiny lessons" every time there was a "new crack in the facade of the fairytale ending she'd been shown in the movies." 

Much of Fearless also sees Swift being reflective and nostalgic about adolescence, like in "Never Grow Up" and "Fifteen." Still wistful and romantic, the album explores Swift's hopes for love, as heard in the album's lead single "Love Story," which was one instance where she was "dramatizing" observations instead of actually experiencing them herself. 

Unlike the slow-burn of Taylor Swift , Fearless went straight to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and stayed there for eight consecutive weeks. It won Swift's first Album Of The Year GRAMMY in 2010, at the time making her the youngest person to win the accolade at age 20. To date, it has sold 7.2 million copies in America alone. It might not be the romantic tale Swift dreamed of growing up, but her sophomore album signalled that bigger things were to come.

Speak Now : Proving Her Songwriting Prowess

Everything that happened after the success of Fearless pushed Swift from country music's best-kept secret to a mainstream star. But this meant that she faced more publicity and criticism, from naysayers who nitpicked her songwriting and vocals to the infamous Kanye West incident at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

For the first time since becoming an artist, she was forced to reckon with the concept of celebrity and how turning into one — whether she wanted it or not — informed her own writing and perception of herself. No longer was she the girl writing songs like "Fifteen" in her bedroom — now she was working through becoming a highly publicized figure. Speak Now is the answer to those growing pains. 

Along with having more eyes on her, Swift also felt pressured to maintain her persona as a perfect young female role model amid a time when her peers like Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato were attempting to rebrand to be more mature and sexier. During her NYU commencement speech in 2022, she reflected on this era of her life as one of intense fear that she could make a mistake and face lasting consequences, so the songs were masked in metaphors rather than directly addressing adult themes in her music. But that also resulted in some of her most poignant lyrics to date.

Writing the entire album herself, Swift used Speak Now to prove her songwriting prowess to those who questioned her capabilities. Much like her previous two albums, Swift included songs that were both inspired by her own life and being a fly on the wall. The album's title track pulled from the saying, "Speak now or forever hold your peace," inspired by a friend's ex-boyfriend getting engaged; meanwhile, "Mean" was everything Swift wanted to say to a critic who was continuously harsh about her vocals.

Retrospective and reflective, Speak Now is an album about the speeches she could've, would've and should've said. From addressing the aforementioned VMA incident in the forgiving "Innocent" to a toxic relationship in "Dear John," Speak Now also hinted that her rose-colored glasses were cracked, but Swift (and her songwriting) was only becoming stronger because of it.

Red : Coming Into Her Own

Highly regarded as Swift's magnum opus, Red sees the singer shed the fairytale dresses and the girl-next-door persona to craft a body of work that has now been deemed as her first "adult" record. On Red, Swift focused on emotions evoked from a hot-and-cold relationship, one that forced her to experience " intense love, intense frustration, jealousy and confusion " — all feelings that she'd describe as "red." 

Unlike most of her previous writing that had been inspired by happy endings and fairytales, Red explores the lingering pain and loss that can embed itself within despite trying your hardest to let go. In her liner notes, she references Pablo Neruda's poem "Tonight I Can Write," stating that "Love is so short, forgetting is so long" is the overarching theme for the album. She plays with time — speeding it up in "Starlight," dabbling in the past in "All Too Well," and reframing it in "State of Grace" — to better understand her experiences. 

After releasing country-pop records, Red toed the line between genres more than ever before. Swift leaned further into the full pop territory by working with esteemed producers Max Martin and Shellback for the dubstep-leaning track "I Knew You Were Trouble," the punchy lead single "We Are Never Getting Back Together," and the bouncy anthem "22." But even when the pop power players weren't involved, her country stylings still leaned more pop across the album, as further evidenced with the racing deep cut "Holy Ground" and the echoing title track. 

The slight change of direction became polarizing for critics and fans alike. Following the more country-influenced Speak Now , some critics and fans found the pop songs on Red were too pop and the lyrics were too repetitive, possibly indicating that she might be selling out. If that wasn't enough, Red became an era where Swift's personal life went from speculation to tabloid fodder, with misogynistic headlines and diluting her work to just "writing about her exes." It's an era that would eventually inspire many tracks on Red 's successor, 1989 , like "Blank Space" and "Shake It Off."

Commercially, Red debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and sold 1.2 million copies in its first week, becoming the fastest-selling country album and making Swift the first female artist to have three consecutive albums spend six or more weeks at the top of the chart. The impact of Red extended beyond its own success, too. Often mentioned as a record that inspired a generation of artists from Troye Sivan to Conan Gray , Swift's confessional, soul-bearing authenticity set a new standard for straightforward pop music. 

1989 : Reinventing Into A Pop Genius

The night Red lost the GRAMMY for Album Of The Year in 2014, Swift decided that her next album would be a full-on pop record. After years of identifying as a country artist and flirting with pop, Swift departed her roots to reinvent herself, no matter what her then-label or critics had to say. And in true Swiftian fashion, turning into a pop artist didn't just prove her genre-shapeshifting capabilities — it further solidified her as an artist who is at her best when she freely creates to her desires and refuses to adhere to anyone.

1989 was lauded by critics for its infectious synth-pop that was reminiscent of the 1980s, yet still had a contemporary sound. Swift opted to lean more into radio-friendly hits, which resulted in songs like "Style," "Wildest Dreams," "Blank Space," and "Shake It Off," all of which became singles. And where some might trade a hit or two at the expense of their artistic integrity, Swift didn't falter — instead, her lyrics were just as heartfelt and intimate as they were on prior albums.

After exploring pop-leaning sonics she first found with Red , Swift worked with Martin and Shellback again on most of 1989 . This reinvention brought new (and very important) collaborators as well. Swift's now-frequent collaborator Jack Antonoff credits her as the first person to take a chance on him as a producer with "I Wish You Would" and "Out Of The Woods"; both tracks exemplified how future Antonoff-produced songs would sound on albums like reputation, Lover and Midnights .

At the time, 1989 became Swift's best-selling album to date. It sold nearly 1.3 million copies within release week in the U.S., debuting atop the Billboard 200 and reigning for 11 non-consecutive weeks. The album also earned Swift several awards — including her second Album Of The Year GRAMMY, which made her the first female artist to ever win the award twice. 

Following the release of 1989 , Swift became a cultural juggernaut, and the album has had an omnipresence in music since. Swift didn't just normalize blending genres, but proved that you can create a sound that is uniquely yours by doing so. In turn, Billie Eilish , Dua Lipa and more pop stars have refused to conform or stick to what they've done prior. 

reputation : Killing The Old Taylor

For years, Swift was on a strict two-year cycle — she'd release an album one year, tour the next, and then release a new album the following year. But following the heightened scrutiny and highly publicized tabloid drama that followed the end of the 1989 era, Swift completely disappeared for a year. She stayed away from public appearances, didn't do any press, and missed the album schedule fans became accustomed to. It wasn't until summer 2017 when she returned from her media (and social media) blackout to unveil the fitting title for her new album: reputation .

Born as a response to the naysayers and name-callers, reputation follows Swift shedding her public image — which includes the pressure to be perfect, the drama, and the criticism — by declaring, "There will be no further explanation. There will just be reputation." Leaning on the same tongue-in-cheek songwriting techniques she used while penning "Blank Space," Swift wrote from the mindset of how the public perceived her.

When Swift released the lead single "Look What You Made Me Do," a song she initially wrote as a poem about not trusting specific people, many assumed the album would center on vengeance and drama. Although Swift said that the album has its vindictive moments — even declaring that the "old Taylor" is dead on the bridge of "Look What You Made Me Do" — it's a vulnerable record for her. Swift described reputation as a bait-and-switch; at their core, the songs are about finding love in the darkest moments. 

Swift still remained in the pop lane with reputation , largely leaning on Antonoff and the Martin/Shellback team. The sound almost mirrored the scrutiny Swift faced in the years prior — booming electropop beats, maximalist production and pulsing synthesizers dominate, particularly on "End Game," "I Did Something Bad," and "Ready For It…?" But the "old Taylor" isn't entirely gone on songs like "Call It What You Want," "So It Goes…" and "New Year's Day," where she lets her guard down to write earnest love odes.

Even after Swift spent some time away from the spotlight, the public didn't immediately gravitate toward her return. And even despite matching the 1.2 million first-week sales of her previous releases, some concluded that the album was her first commercial failure when compared to 1989 . With time, though, it became clear that the response to reputation became muddled with the public's overall perception of her at the time — some even claimed that Swift was ahead of her time with the album's overall sound.

For her 2023 TIME Person of the Year profile , Swift described reputation as a "goth-punk moment of female rage at being gaslit by an entire social structure." For years, she felt the pressure to be "America's Sweetheart" and to never step out of line. Writing reputation became a lifeline following the events that catalyzed it  — a way to shed the so-called snakeskin and make peace with however the public wanted to view her. 

Lover : Stepping Into The Daylight

After finding love amongst chaos with reput ation, Swift was learning to deal with the anxiety and fear of losing her partner — became a major theme of another aptly titled album, Lover . Both sonically and visually, Lover was a complete change from reputation . After touring reputation , Swift found that her fans saw her as "a flesh-and-blood human being," inspiring her to be "brave enough to be vulnerable" because her fans were along with her. Stepping away from the dark and antagonistic themes around reputation encouraged Swift to step into the light and be playful with her work on Lover .

Swift also found a new sense of creativity within this new mindset, one where she aimed to still embed playful themes in her songwriting but with less snark than that of "Blank Space" and "Look What You Made Me Do." Leaning into Lover being a "love letter to love," Swift explored every aspect of it. Tracks like "Paper Rings" and "London Boy" exude a whimsical energy, even if they center on more serious themes like marriage and commitment. Other songs, including "Death By A Thousand Cuts" and "Cornelia Street," are Swift at her most vulnerable, reflecting on a love lost and grappling with the extreme worry that comes when you could potentially lose someone. 

Looking at Lover retrospectively, it's an album that almost symbolizes a bookend in her discography. She was playful yet poignant, picking apart her past lyrics and feelings and looking at them with the perspective of someone who was once on top of the world, hit rock bottom, and survived in spite of it. This evolution is mentioned throughout Lover, particularly in a direct callback to 2012's Red , "Daylight," which sees her describe her love as "golden" rather than "burning red." 

Lover also marked the first time Swift divulged into politics and societal issues, like campaigning against Donald Trump, releasing the Pride-infused "You Need To Calm Down," and feeling disillusioned by the political climate with "Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince." Swift's documentary Miss Americana explores this change further, discussing how she regrets not being vocal about politics and issues prior, in addition to opening up about her body image issues and mental health struggles.

Lover became Swift's sixth No. 1 album in America, making her the first female artist to achieve the feat. But Lover was more than any accolades could reflect — it was Swift's transitional album in many ways, notably marking the first album that she owned entirely herself following leaving Big Machine Records for Republic Records in 2018.

folklore : Looking Beyond Her Personal Stories

After the pandemic started and Swift cancelled her Lover Fest, she spent the early stages of quarantine reading and watching a myriad of films. Without exactly setting out to create an album, she began dreaming of fictional stories and characters with various narrative arcs, allowing her imagination to run free. The result became folklore , 2020's surprise archetypal quarantine album.

Crafting a world with characters like the folklore love triangle between those in "betty" and "august," as well as Rebekah Harkness from "the last great american dynasty" (who once lived in Swift's Rhode Island mansion), was Swift's way of venturing outside her typical autobiographical style of writing. She'd see visceral images in her mind — from battleships to tree swings to mirrored disco balls — and turned them into stories, sometimes weaving in her own personal narrative throughout, or taking on a narrator role and speaking from the perspective of someone she had never met. 

She worked remotely with two producers — again working with her right-hand man Jack Antonoff, and first-time collaborator Aaron Dessner from The National . Some songs, like "peace," were recorded in just one take, capturing the essence and fragility in the song's story, whereas the lyrics for the sun-drenched "august" were penned on the spot as Swift was in her makeshift home studio in Los Angeles.

Another aspect that separated folklore from her previous work was the obvious decision not to create hits made for radio play, so much so that Dessner claimed that she made an anti-pop record at a time when radio wanted clear "bops." Sonically, it ventured into genres Swift hadn't explored much outside of a few folkier tracks on Lover . Rather than relying on mostly electronic elements, Swift, Antonoff and Dessner weaved in soft pianos, ethereal strings, and plucky guitars.

folklore 's impact on the zeitgeist at a time where everyone was stuck at home helped shape people's quarantine experience. Fans rejoiced at having songs to comfort them during difficult times, and artists like Maya Hawke , Gracie Abrams , and Sabrina Carpenter credit folklore for inspiring them to create and be even more emotionally honest in their songwriting. After its release, folklore became the best-selling album of 2020 after selling 1.2 million records. At the 2021 GRAMMYs, folklore took home Album Of The Year , making her the fourth artist in history to win three times in the Category. 

evermore : Embracing Experimentation

It was exciting enough for Swifties to experience one surprise album drop from Swift, an artist who typically has an entire album campaign calculated. So when evermore was released just six months after folklore , fans were in shock. 

Like its (literally) folklorian sister, evermore was a surprise release at the end of 2020, marking the first time Swift didn't have distinct "eras" between albums. She felt like there was something "different" with folklore , stating in a social media post that making it was less like she was "departing" and more like she was "returning" to the next stage of her discography. In turn, the album served as a similar escape for Swift as folklore did.

Bridging together the same wistful and nostalgic themes as heard on its predecessor, evermore sees Swift venture even further into escapism. She explores more stories and characters, some based in fiction like "dorothea," and some real, like "marjorie," written in dedication to Swift's grandmother. 

Evermore follows folklore 's inclusion of natural imagery and motifs, like landscapes, skies, ivy, and celestial elements. In contrast to the fairytale motifs and happy endings of Fearless , evermore saw Swift become fixated on "unhappy" endings — stories of failed marriages ("happiness"), lifeless relationships ("tolerate it"), and one-time flings ("'tis the damn season"). 

Sonically, evermore is a slight departure from its sister record; where folklore relies on more alt-leaning and indie-tinged sounds, evermore takes the sonics from all of Swift's past records — from pop to country to indie rock — and features all of them on one album. Country songs like "cowboy like me" and "no body, no crime" reaches back to Swift's earlier work in narrative building, seamlessly crafting a three-party story with ease. "Closure" is a "skittering" track that has the same energy as tracks like Lover 's "I Forgot That You Existed," whereas the ballad "champagne problems" is thematically reminiscent of Swift's Speak Now track "Back To December" where she takes responsibility for her lover's heartache. 

Working mostly with Dessner on evermore , Swift was emboldened to continue creating and opted to embrace whatever came naturally to them rather than limiting themselves to a sound. Swift felt a "quiet conclusion" after finishing up evermore , describing that it was more about grappling with endings of all "sizes and shapes," and the record represented a chapter closing. Even so, its poetic lyricism and mystical storytelling cleverly foreshadowed what was to come with subsequent albums, particularly The Tortured Poets Department .

Midnights : Encapsulating Her Artistic Magic

After coming out of the folklorian woods following folklore and evermore , fans and critics alike were intrigued to see what direction Swift would take on her next studio album. On Midnights , Swift leaves behind indie folk sounds and returns to the pop production of 1989 and Lover .

Her most conceptual album to date, Midnights charts 13 sleepless nights and explores five themes, from self-hatred and revenge to "what if" fantasies, falling in love, and falling apart. They are the things that keep her up at night, like the self-critiquing in "Anti-Hero," her rise to fame in "You're on Your Own, Kid," and the anxiety of falling in love again in "Labyrinth." Similarly to Swift's cheeky songwriting style that sees her create caricatures of herself in songs like "Blank Space" and "Look What You Made Me Do," she doubles down on claims she's "calculated" on "Mastermind," a song about devising a plan for her and her lover. 

Although the album is a departure from the two pandemic sister albums, the overall creation process didn't differ too much. In addition to working alongside Antonoff (and bringing Dessner in for the bonus-track-filled 3am Edition), Swift's worldbuilding is still the throughline that connects Midnights and Swift's recent albums, whether she's dreaming of a Parisian escape in "Paris" or using war imagery as a metaphor for the struggle of love in "The Great War."

Following the success with folklore and evermore , Swift's intrigue was at a then-all-time high upon the release of Midnights . Along with breaking several streaming records — including becoming the first album to exceed 700 million global streams in a week — it was Swift's 11th No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200, and was the highest-selling album of 2022 (and, remarkably, the second best-selling of 2023).

To say that Swift's celebrity has become otherworldly since the release of Midnights would be an understatement. Celebrating her genre-defying and varied discography through The Eras Tour has resulted in old songs having a resurgence, new inside jokes and Easter eggs within the fandom, and a plethora of new listeners being exposed to Swift's work. 

As a result, there has arguably never been more excitement for a Taylor Swift album than for The Tortured Poets Department — especially because the announcement came on the heels of her lucky 13th GRAMMY win in February. The Tortured Poets Department : A Grief-Stricken Poetic Odyssey

It’s been a while since Swift has penned a full-fledged breakup album. On The Tortured Poets Department , she navigates the five stages of grief — denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance — after her long-term relationship ended. Taking a page from the release of folklore and evermore , she dropped a double album and announced The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology at 2 a.m. on release day. Throughout a total of 31 tracks, the prolific songwriter shelved the glittery pop radio-friendly tunes in favor of more subdued, synthy and heart-wrenching songs. 

On Instagram, Swift described the album as a collection of poetic songs that reflect the "events, opinions and sentiments from a fleeting and fatalistic moment in time," Swift pulled out the fountain and quill pens to craft songs about the "tortured poets" in her life — sometimes musing about lovers, sometimes taking aim at villains, and sometimes pointing the finger at herself. 

TTPD is also her most confessional album thus far. It pokes fun at so-called fans who overstep with her personal life ("But Daddy I Love Him"), says goodbye to a city that gave her a home ("So Long London"), and muses on how her own celebrity has stunted her growth ("Who's Afraid Of Little Old Me?"). To help explain this chapter of her life, Swift brings together a myriad of collaborators — from Stevie Nicks as fellow poetess, to duets with Florence Welch and Post Malone — and leans on real and fictional characters, like Clara Bow, Peter Pan ("Peter"), and Patti Smith .

In the same post, Swift declared that once she’s confessed all of her saddest stories, she’s able to find freedom. Yet The Tortured Poets Department (and its accompanying 15-track anthology) spends much time reflecting: she toys with her own lore, self-referencing past songs from albums like 1989 and poems from her reputation era.

Taylor Swift's 'The Tortured Poets Department' Is A Post-Mortem Autopsy In Song: 5 Takeaways From Her New Album

"There is nothing to avenge, no scores to settle once wounds have healed," Taylor Swift wrote of her new album. From grapplings with fame to ultra-personal reflections on love lost, her latest set of fountain and quill pen songs marks the end of an era.

"All’s fair in love and poetry," Taylor Swift declared when she announced her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department , at the 66th GRAMMY Awards . 

Taken from the proverb "All’s fair in love and war," the pop phenom gave us a fair warning: there’s no limit to what she’ll go through to achieve her ends. 

On the freshly released The Tortured Poets Department , Taylor Swift has a few things to get off her chest — so much that it required a surprise second record, The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology , adding an additional 15 songs . The sprawling album is a masterclass in songwriting and so personal that it's analogous to performing a post mortem autopsy; The musical shapeshifter is here to exhume the tortured poets of her past and make peace with them. 

In an Instagram post , Swift called the record an anthology that reflects " events, opinions and sentiments from a fleeting and fatalistic moment in time - one that was both sensational and sorrowful in equal measure." With the release of Tortured Poets , "t here is nothing to avenge, no scores to settle once wounds have healed…our tears become holy in the form of ink on a page." 

Describing Swift’s work as a collection of tracks about boys and break-ups has always felt underbaked and disingenuous, but much of The Tortured Poets Department is just that. In true Swiftian fashion, she plays on preconceived theories, opting to toy with the five stages of grief — denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance — after a break-up, bringing listeners along on a peregrination exploring the depths of her relationships and personal growth. 

Analyzing her feelings to craft songs is muscle memory at this point, but with every release Taylor Swift somehow does so with a refreshed and reimagined perspective. The stories she shares with her fans in TTPD might’ve made her feel like she died, but she’s a revenant no longer tortured by the whims and words of other poets.

It's Much More Than A Break-Up Record

Although the record orbits around a break-up, The Tortured Poets Department demonstrates Swift's ability to shapeshift as a songwriter. A song about a break-up is layered, typically forcing Swift to unveil her own flaws while wearing her broken heart on her sleeve.

The fifth track on a Taylor Swift album is typically the most emotionally cutting, and "So Long London" is no exception. On the standout track, Swift views the loss of her lover and the breakdown of her relationship to Joe Alwyn through the lens of the city they once shared together. It’s a cathartic release for Swift who point-blank notes the pain they inflicted upon her and how, in turn, they ended up just as heartbroken as she is. 

The high-spirited "Down Bad" and subdued "The Smallest Man in The World" are two sides of the same coin. The former is hopeful that a love could be reignited, whereas the latter sees Swift at her grittiest, pointing the finger at her former lover. "Smallest" poses a series of questions, accusing her ex of being a spy who only wanted to get intel on her.

On piano ode "loml," Swift looks back at the "get-love-quick" schemes she first wrote about in "Why She Disappeared," a poem for reputation . The poem originally considered the death of her reputation and how its aftermath made her stronger while she was simultaneously nursing a new relationship. 

The track has a similar energy to fan favorite "All Too Well," but is even more accusatory — seemingly unlocking another level of her songwriting prowess as she teeters between seething rage and mourning with lines about picking through a "braid of lies" spewed by a partner who "claimed he was a lion" but is really a coward. While Swift is honest about never feeling a loss so deeply, she maturely accepts that the effort she put into keeping the relationship afloat was all she could do. It’s distinctly different from the battles she bravely fought in "The Great War," "Daylight" and "long story short."

She's Grappling With Fame & Owning Her Choices

That Taylor Swift struggles with her own celebrity and the public's perception is nothing new. On reputation ’s album prologue, she stated, "We think we know someone, but the truth is that we only know the version of them they have chosen to show us." 

On The Tortured Poets Department, Swift has never been more honest about her feelings towards those who claim to know better than she does. On "But Daddy I Love Him," she doubles down on these frustrations, taking aim at self-righteous "vipers" and "judgmental creeps" who condemn her choice of a lover. Swift holds nothing back, declaring "I'll tell you something about my good name/It's mine alone to disgrace."

Swift stated that her life sometimes feels like a public autopsy with people psychoanalyzing her every thought and feeling. Following the release of Midnights and her larger-than-life Eras Tour , Swift’s been in her "glittering prime" despite experiencing her long-term relationship ending and the media hysteria around it would make anyone feel the opposite. "I Can Do It With A Broken Heart" confirms fans' theories that the GRAMMY winner was indeed putting on a brave face.  

On "Clara Bow" — a song named for the silent film actress whose public life was so scrutinized that she admitted herself into a sanatorium — Swift sings "Beauty is a beast that roars/Down on all fours/Demanding, 'More.'" Again, Swift plays with the double-edged sword of fame, comparing herself to a performing circus animal — something she sings about in "Who’s Afraid Of Little Old Me?" 

Taylor Swift Gets By With A Little Help From Her Friends

Swift has always looked up to and honored the greats in her music and art, and Tortured Poets is no exception. She recruits rock icon and songwriter Stevie Nicks to help build TTPD ’s world, and Nicks penned a poem featured in Swift’s physical album. Written in Texas, the poem is "For T and me..." and tells the tale of two ill-fated lovers. (Swift also namedrops Nicks in "Clara Bow," touching on the comparisons made between Clara, Nicks and herself.)

There are two additional guest appearances on TTPD : Post Malone appears on "Fortnight" and Florence Welch of Florence + the Machine is featured on "Florida!!!" (a surprisingly toned-down lead single). Swift particularly shines when paired with Welch, and the soaring "Florida!!!" sees their intertwined vocals creating a sound as infectious as the "drug" they sing about.

J.M. Barrie’s Peter Pan inspired Swift on "cardigan" ("Tried to change the ending/Peter losing Wendy") but now the Lost Boy gets his own track on The Anthology ’s "Peter." The ever-inquisitive Swift pleads, "You said you were gonna grow up/Then you were gonna come find me" and confronts this man who wouldn’t grow up. She even puts herself in the shoes of Wendy who waited for Peter Pan to return but has grown tired of waiting.

TTPS Is All Quill And Fountain Pen Songs

A few years ago, Taylor Swift categorized her songwriting according to three writing devices: glitter gel pens for fun tracks, fountain pens for songs using modern imagery and lyrics, and quill pens for tracks with flowery, figurative language. Although devoid of the glittery gel pen songs that comprise many of Swift's hits, TTPD and its accompanying anthology are steeped in fountain and quill writing. 

Most of The Tortured Poets Department are fountain pen tracks — thanks to 2024 Producer Of The Year Jack Antonoff ’s sleek pop production and synth use. Tracks like "Fresh Out The Slammer" and "My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys" are sharp, snappy, tongue-in-cheek tales of love affairs about to begin and coming to an end with the same sonic exuberance of past Swift & Antonoff songs, like "Out of the Woods" and "Getaway Car."

Tracks on The Anthology , mostly produced by Aaron Dessner , are stripped-back, folk-tinged quill songs brimming with sorrow and harrowing thematics and dives even deeper into her chaotic psyche. "The Prophecy" sees Swift beg to change a prophecy that has been laid out ahead of her — likely stemming from the pressure of being a global superstar when all she wants is to be loved.

This Is The End Of An Era (Or A Chapter)

To her occasional disdain, Swift's highly personal songwriting has created a global obsession with her inner life.  Although she's tired of the "public autopsy," Tortured Poets offers her time to reflect on the "events, opinions, and sentiments" over a time that was equal parts transient and transformative. 

From her growth from the country-twanged teen singer on her self-titled debut to woman who is fearless in her pursuit of happiness, love, and peace, Swift has transformed time and time again. By viewing her work in eras — or, in this case, a chapter in a book of her life — it’s clear that Swift sees this current chapter of her life coming to a close, turning the last page and no longer longing to look back. 

One could argue that Swift is an unreliable narrator, only ever presenting her side of the story. But she says that while considering the pain described on TTPS , many now-healed wounds turned out to be self-inflicted. With these stories immortalized, Taylor Swift has spoken her saddest story and is now "free of it." The tortured poets and poems will no longer take up space in this next chapter of her life.

Physical copies of The Tortured Poets Department feature an original poem by the one and only Stevie Nicks .

Titled "For T and me…," the poem starts off with "He was in love with her / Or at least she thought so / She was brokenhearted / Maybe he was too." It goes on to trace a doomed relationship — one party being "way too hot to handle" and the other "way too high to try."

Elsewhere, Post Malone lends a haunting vocal to opener and lead single "Fortnight," and Florence + the Machine elevate "Florida!!!".

The lion’s share of the album was produced by Jack Antonoff ; Aaron Dessner handled a handful of tunes on the standard edition and the majority of The Anthology .

The Easter Eggs

Where do we begin? For starters, most of the songs seem to be directed at ex Matty Healy of the 1975, but Joe Alwyn and Travis Kelce seem to pop up here and there as well.

In the title track, Swift describes embracing the "cyclone" of a relationship with a partner akin to a "tattooed golden retriever." And they’d be remiss to compare themselves to Patti Smith or Dylan Thomas or any other famously tortured poet of the 20th century: "We’re modern idiots… we’re two idiots."

Elsewhere, Lucy Dacus of boygenius — and Antonoff himself — pop up ("But you tell Lucy you’d kill yourself if I ever leave / And I had said that to Jack about you / So I felt seen").

Far be it from us to speculate on exact subjects, but there are shades of depression ("You sacrificed us to the gods of your bluest days"), a betrothal that wasn’t to be ("You swore that you loved me but where were the clues? / I died on the altar waiting for the proof") and the racket of fame ("The circus life made me mean").

As usual, Swift has dumped puzzle pieces on the carpet — daring her ardent, global fanbase to start at the edges and work their way to the center. But never to this degree, across such an ocean of material.

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is a cultural phenomenon. With unprecedented demand, smashed world records and a staggering 44-song setlist, the Eras tour spans Swift’s entire discography, chronicling all the various eras and albums of the Midnights singer’s career.

From the mad scramble to buy tickets that crashed Ticketmaster’s website to guest appearances from the likes of Taylor Lautner, Joey King, Haim and Phoebe Bridgers, Swift brings new surprises for her fans at each stop.

As the first round of Swift’s Eras Tour approaches its last dates in Los Angeles, The Hollywood Reporter has compiled the biggest highlights from the tour so far.

Fans Crash Ticketmaster Presale

Before the Eras Tour even began, it was making history. During the rush to buy tickets after five-plus years of waiting, the retailer site Ticketmaster crumbled, with many experiencing multiple hour-long waits and the majority of fans not being able to secure tickets. According to Ticketmaster, the demand was unprecedented and led to no tickets being available as a part of the general sale. Ticket prices soared above $1,000 for the cheapest seats on the resale market, leading to congressional hearings that included more than a few tongue-in-cheek Swift references.

"22" Hat Giveaways — Selena Gomez’s Sister, Kobe Bryant’s Daughter

It’s a nightly ritual at the Eras Tour for Swift to gift her black fedora hat to one lucky fan in the audience during her performance of Red hit song “22.” At an Arlington, Texas, show on April 1, Swift stopped to say hello to Selena Gomez’s 9-year-old sister, Gracie, who was in attendance with the Only Murders in the Building star, to exchange the hat for a friendship bracelet. Similarly, during her Thursday night show at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, the Eras performer shared a sweet moment with Kobe Bryant’s daughter Bianka Bryant. The pair hugged as Swift placed the hat on Bianka’s head.

In 2015, the late Lakers legend joined Swift onstage at the then-Staples Center during her 1989 tour, surprising her with a championship-style banner in honor of her record-breaking 16 sold-out shows at the arena.

'Speak Now (Taylor's Version)' Announced in Nashville

At her first Nashville stop on May 5, Swift treated fans to the highly anticipated announcement that album rerelease Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) would drop on July 7. As expected, the artist teased the announcement days before the show, posting a purple heart emoji on social media. Before launching into Speak Now track and surprise song of the night “Sparks Fly,” Swift debuted a first look at the album cover on the big screens of Nissan Stadium, while purple lights lit up the Nashville’s Cumberland River bridge.

“You know how I love to plan things, and how I love to surprise you with the things I plan,” she said onstage. “It’s my love language with you — I plot, I scheme, I plan and I get to tell you about it.”

Haim Takes the Stage for "No Body, No Crime"

Swift’s real-life besties from sibling trio band Haim joined the Speak Now singer onstage in Seattle on July 22. Together, the friends performed their Evermore collab “No Body, No Crime,” marking the first live performance of the song on the Eras Tour. With the girl band announced as one of the opening acts for the tour, fans expected Haim to appear at least once to perform alongside Swift.

Ice Spice Collabs With Swift on "Karma" Remix

On the day she released the Midnights album extended version The Til Dawn Edition , Swift brought out one of her newest collaborators Ice Spice onto New Jersey’s Metlife Stadium stage. The rapper, who features on a remix edition of Midnights hit song “Karma,” joined Swift onstage to perform her verse and close out the show for three nights in a row.

Phoebe Bridgers Performs Vault Track "Nothing New" While Opening for Swift

Across the Nashville, Philadelphia, Massachusetts and New Jersey legs of the tour, Phoebe Bridgers joined Swift as not only an opening act, but also a stage partner. With acoustic guitars in hand, Bridgers and Swift took to the Eras stage multiple times to perform their fan-favorite vault track from Red (Taylor’s Version) , “Nothing New.” On Bridgers’ final night on the tour at MetLife, the friends shared heartfelt goodbyes on stage. “You are my hero,” Bridgers told Swift onstage, with Swift responding: “Thank you for being the friend that you’ve been to me.”

“Long Live” Is Added to the Set List

After the release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) , fan-favorite song “Long Live” off the album entered the set list. Presumably, until that point Swift had previously avoided performing too many songs off of Speak Now so as not to promote any tracks owned by Scooter Braun.

"I Can See You" Video Drops With Special Guest Appearances: Taylor Lautner, Presley Cash and Joey King

The hit single off Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) was the new “From the Vault” track “I Can See You,” which became a radio hit and charted on Billboard. To announce the music video she directed for the track, Swift brought out the video’s stars, including ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner along with Presley Cash and Joey King, on stage at the Eras Tour in Kansas City. Lautner performed a backflip, a nod to his scene with Swift in the 2010 film Valentine’s Day. “He and his wife have become some of my closest friends, and it’s very convenient because we all share the same first name,” said Swift onstage during the video announcement.

Two Surprise Songs at Each Show

Every single stop of the tour, Taylor Swift has performed two surprise songs that are unique to that tour stop, only repeating a handful of tracks from amongst her vast discography. Fans have tracked the songs online via Twitter — even maintaining complex spread sheets — hoping to get one of their favorites that isn’t a part of the main set list as a “surprise song.” Highlights have included “Hits Different,” “Death by a Thousand Cuts,” “Our Song,” “Tim McGraw” and many more.

Taylor Swift Fans Cause an Earthquake

At the Eras Tour stop in Seattle, fans partied so hard they caused the equivalent of a small earthquake . This rivaled Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch’s “Beast Quake” from 2011, thought Swift came out as the clear winner when measured on the Richter scale.

Taylor Swift Announces ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’

On the last night of the first leg of her U.S. tour, Swift revealed that 1989 (Taylor’s Version) will release Oct. 27. Throughout her performance at sixth night of Eras Tour shows at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, the singer teased the announcement by wearing several blue outfits to celebrate the occasion. Following the announcement, fans were treated to 1989 track “New Romantics.” The rerecorded version will feature 21 songs, including five previously unreleased songs from The Vault as described on Swift’s website.

“Surprise!! 1989 (Taylor’s Version) is on its way to you,” Swift wrote on social media. “The 1989 album changed my life in countless ways, and it fills me with such excitement to announce that my version of it will be out October 27th. To be perfectly honest, this is my most FAVORITE re-record I’ve ever done because the 5 From The Vault tracks are so insane. I can’t believe they were ever left behind. But not for long!”

Taylor Swift Brings Eras Tour to Nashville: Night 1 Gallery and Review

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour made history on May 5 th , 2023, with a record-breaking sold-out attendance of 70,500 fans packing the Nissan Stadium in Swift’s hometown of Nashville, TN. The atmosphere of the stadium was simply electric as fans of all ages came together to celebrate the legacy of one of the biggest pop stars of our time.

The Atmosphere

Walking up to the stadium, the air was buzzing with anticipation and excitement. My eyes were immediately drawn to the sea of creative DIY outfits worn by the fans. I saw outfits that represented all the Eras of Swift’s discography, the music videos, and even some inside jokes that Swift has with her fans. It was heartwarming to see complete strangers bonding over their shared love of Taylor Swift , trading handmade friendship bracelets, and engaging in friendly conversations with one another.  Even if you weren’t up to speed with the latest “Swift-tok” trends, you felt welcomed into the Swiftie community with open arms. And if you happened to forget your own handmade bracelet to trade, there were plenty of people eager to share their creations with fellow fans, spreading the inclusivity, love, and kindness that Taylor Swift herself embodies in her music and activism.

The Openers

The excitement for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour began long before she even took to the stage, thanks to the incredible performances of her two opening acts: Gracie Abrams and Phoebe Bridgers. As soon as Abrams took to the stage, it was clear the young singer-songwriter had captured the hearts of the audience with her introspective music. Her stunning vocals and heartfelt lyrics set the tone for an unforgettable evening of music. Bridgers, on the other hand, brought her signature brand of alternative indie rock to the stage, captivating the crowd with her raw and emotional performance. The real surprise came during Bridgers’ set when she brought out her fellow supergroup bandmates, Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus, for a surprise performance. The trio, known as boygenius, treated the audience to an electrifying performance of their new track, “Not Strong Enough”. The impromptu appearance was met with thunderous applause. Overall, the opening acts were a perfect prelude to an incredible night of music.

As the clock began its countdown, the anticipation in the stadium reached a fever pitch. The air was electric with excitement as fans eagerly awaited Taylor Swift’s arrival on stage. Suddenly, the arena erupted with screams as Taylor’s dancers made their way to the stage, holding giant colorful fabric pieces that billowed in the air like waves in the ocean. The lyric “It’s been a long time coming” from the song “Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince” echoed throughout the venue, adding to the palpable energy in the air.

The dancers came together in the center of the massive catwalk, holding their billowy pieces aloft to form a shield-like enclosure. The music continued to build, with bits and pieces of various songs woven together in a montage intro that left the crowd on the edge of their seats. Suddenly, the enclosure opened, revealing Taylor Swift herself, who appeared like the mythical goddess Venus emerging from the sea. She was resplendent in a stunning, sparkly leotard and matching boots, and the audience erupted with deafening cheers as she began her set.

The breathtaking opening sequence was just the beginning of what turned out to be an unforgettable night of music and artistry. Swift dazzled the sold-out crowd with an impressive setlist that covered an astounding 45 songs from 10 albums. Over the course of nearly 3 and a half hours, Taylor delivered one show-stopping performance after another. To take on such a marathon-style performance with such poise and grace is nothing short of awe-inspiring. Taylor managed to seamlessly weave together an incredible array of hits, all while changing outfits and executing intricate dance routines with seemingly boundless energy. Her stamina and showmanship were on full display throughout the night as she effortlessly transitioned from one era to the next without missing a beat or sounding out of breath.

Taylor loves to gift her fans with Easter eggs and surprises and one of the many surprises she had in store for the night was bringing out Phoebe Bridgers for their collab song “Nothing New”, as this was the first time the song has been played live. As Taylor was explaining the tradition of her playing two different songs every night for the highly anticipated acoustic portion of the show and how these songs are not repeated on any other tour date, she revealed an even bigger surprise.  Taylor stated, “There’s also a different reason why I’m really excited about this part of the set tonight because I’ve been planning something for a while, and you know how I love to plan things and you know how I love to surprise you with the things I’ve been planning. It’s my love language with you, you know? I plot, I scheme, I plan, and then I get to tell you about it. So, I think rather than me speaking about it, I thought I would just show you.” Taylor then directed everyone to view the big screen on the main stage as it was revealed that Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) would be released on July 7 th .  The crowd went crazy as she perfectly segued the bombshell announcement into the first surprise song, “Sparks Fly” from Speak Now, and then followed with “Teardrops on My Guitar” from her debut album as the second surprise song.

As the show approached its grand finale, Taylor Swift delivered a high-energy performance of some of the biggest hits from her recent album, Midnights, including fan favorites like “Lavender Haze”, “Anti-Hero”, “Bejeweled”, and “Mastermind”. The crowd sang along, danced, and waved their hands in the air, creating a magical atmosphere that filled the stadium with infectious excitement. As the final notes of “Karma” echoed through the venue, Taylor took one last walk down the catwalk, and the stadium erupted into a dazzling display of pyrotechnics and fireworks, illuminating the faces of the ecstatic crowd. It was truly an unforgettable experience, one that left every fan grateful to have been a part of this historic night in Nashville and we can’t wait to see what Taylor Swift has in store for her next era.

Taylor Swift ‘s recent song “Midnight Rain” lived up to its name when it was performed Sunday night at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium, except that it was actually after 1 a.m. local time when it finally came up in the set list. The finale of her hometown three-night stand was pushed back hours from its scheduled start time due to lightning strikes near the downtown area; once it did finally get underway after 10 p.m., the second half of the three-and-a-half-hour set was marked by a steady downpour, hitting Swift as hard as it did the audience in the roofless venue, before the show finally wrapped up just after 1:35 a.m.

Later, as the downpour didn’t let up, during the “Red”-themed portion of the show, she said, “This is something we’re all doing together. It’s like such a bonding experience. We’re all gonna leave here tonight looking like we just went through five car washes… People will be like, ‘Where were you? Several wars?’ And you’re like, ‘No, I just went to the Eras Tour . It’s fine.'”

As the clock neared 1 a.m., Swift launched into the penultimate “surprise songs” segment of the show, for which she was joined by a special guest, a co-writer and co-producer on her last three albums, the National’s Aaron Dessner , to play a second guitar on the “Midnights” bonus track “Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve.” Making the long walk from the main stage to the B-stage in the middle of the stadium, Dessner, too, quickly looked waterlogged.

Dessner was up for the memorable occasion. “I was lucky to see other shows on this tour, but in the rain it’s even better,” he claimed.

The show was scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m., as it has at every other stop on the tour, with two opening acts preceding a Swift set that usually lasts from about 7:50 till about 11:15. In Nashville Sunday, though, the show was about an hour from starting when announcements appeared on big screens and on social media warning attendees to shelter in place in the venue’s concourses, or remain in their cars if they had not gone inside yet. That warning remained in place from around 5:30 until around 9:45, at which point lightning left the area — for the time being — and fans were told they should finally take their seats, leading to a human traffic jam through the stadium entryways. By that point, some fatigued families with younger children had already taken their leave.

“Rain shows” are actually well-remembered and prized among some fans who’ve seen her in outdoor stadium settings before, so dampened spirits weren’t much of a problem among those who’d made it through the marathon wait as the show finally got underway at about 10:10 p.m. Opening acts Phoebe Bridgers and Gracie Abrams had long since been bumped from the bill, not surprisingly, with a Swift set that has averaged out at about 220 minutes still to go.

The sight of Swift with a wet head is not unfamiliar (some past tours have ended with her either standing in a waterfall or cavorting with her dancers in a fountain), but the length and extent to which she was out in a downpour along with fans might be unprecedented in her touring life. The singer made a point as things wound down at 1:37 a.m. to ask the crowd to “make some noise for my phenomenal dancers who danced in the rain for you all night. … The fact that you stayed for us, that you gave us everything you had — we love you so much, Nashville. We will never forget this night.”

Lightning did return to the surrounding area before Swift’s show ended, as fan photos and videos showed the sky lighting up in the distance around midnight, but the show was not further halted once it began. Although fans wondered whether curfews or fines might cause Swift’s set to be condensed, Nissan Stadium is city-owned and said not to be subject to the restrictions that might affect other venues — especially when unleashing 70,000 angry Swifties into the wild is a prospect.

One of the fans happy to have waited it out for hours was Siobhan Duden, a 32-year-old middle school teacher from Knoxville who was getting one of her first nights out after having a baby six months ago. “We all came together in this bonding moment, singing songs as we waited for Taylor. Everybody completely embraced it. We were all here for Taylor and knew she would be there for us. While we were waiting amid the shelter-in-place, my friends and I joked that Taylor meant it literally when she said ‘Meet me at midnight.’ We literally would have waited if the show did start at midnight to see her, if that was what it took. When I finally got to my seat, it was super exciting because once you realized how many people stayed through all of that, you knew you were around people like you” with equal tenacity.

For Swift fans wondering how Sunday’s show was different from the two preceding it in Nashville, or any other concerts along the routing so far: “The 1” was back in the set Sunday as the first number of the “Folklore” portion, after “Invisible String” curiously made a one-time reappearance Saturday night. Aside from that one-off, “Invisible String” had last been part of the tour setlist on March 25 in Las Vegas. Fans have widely assumed that it was taken out of the set that early in the tour because its lyrics are full of autobiographical details about her relationship with Joe Alwyn, whom she is known to have split from this year.

(Matty Healy of the 1975, who has been tagged as a possible new beau by British tabloids, was reported to be viewing Sunday’s concert from a covered spot… although, contrary to said tabloids’ predictions, he did not perform with Swift. Healy did strum guitar behind Bridgers during her opening set on Saturday.)

Although Bridgers did not get to perform her planned opening set (which on the first two nights in Nashville had featured cameos from her Boygenius colleagues), fans did at least get to see Bridgers again join Swift during the headliner’s set for the third successive rendition of their duet from “Red (Taylor’s Version),” “Nothing New.” (Bridgers will also be opening all of Swift’s shows through the end of May, before departing to tour with Boygenius starting in June.)

In the “secret songs” segment, Swift prefaced her and Dessner’s performance of “Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve” by describing it as “one of our favorite songs we’ve done together… (that) we hear you guys request all the time.” The song, which has been understood as a return to the subject matter of the “Speak Now” track “Dear John,” has been a clear favorite among all the bonus tracks released as part of the “Midnights” deluxe edition last fall. “You knew every word to that,” she said, expressing surprise at the ferocity of enthusiasm for a tune left off the standard edition.

Swift noted that, although she has discussed 2020’s “Folklore” as being really the first time she wrote extensively in character instead of out of her own performance, that truthfully really started 10 years earlier with the “Speak Now” album. “I wrote the (title) song ‘Speak Now’ about interrupting the wedding of an ex…  I was 19 when I wrote that, and none of my exes were getting married,” she pointed out. “It was so fantasy, so fantastical… my first time thinking in cinematic, ‘This isn’t my life, but what if it were’” terms. The same went for the album-leading single: “When I wrote it, I was writing about all these relationship things that hadn’t happened to me. Like ‘there’s a drawer of my things at your place’… Those are things that I was not partaking in at 19, when I wrote these songs. It’s been a treat to go back and re-record them, because I’m relating to them now. This is called ‘Mine.'”

Fans have puzzled over who “Mine” was about for years, since the lyrical details didn’t seem to have known analogs to real-life events. Now, they may be satisfied to finally know for certain who it’s about: nobody.

Swift resumes her tour Friday in Philadelphia. It may take about that long for some of Sunday night’s attendees to get back on their sleep schedule. As the crawl at the end of one of the fan livestreams read: “Goodnight, good luck to everyone with school tmrw.” A special “good luck” may have been in order for everyone whose phone ran out of battery before connecting with family about pickups in the designated waiting area; Nissan Stadium had advised parents via social media to show up three hours after the actual start time.

The Eras Tour: Nashville, Tennessee (Night 2)

Last night was another sold out show of The Eras Tour at Nissan Stadium in Nashville! Taylor performed Out Of The Woods and Fifteen, because her longtime friend Abigail who is referenced in the song, was in attendance! Taylor also returned to the tour’s original setlist to perform The 1 instead of Invisible String due to Nashville gifting her an honorary bench in Centennial Park ! Taylor Swift ‘s The Eras tour is making its way across North America, and city officials have been pulling out all the stops to welcome the superstar to their stadiums.

The friendly competition between cities to one-up the royal treatment has led to all types of exciting photo ops for Swifties and honors for Swift herself. From making Swift the honorary mayor of the day and giving her the key to the city to renaming stadiums, streets and even cities themselves, The Eras tour is certainly making an impact on every location it visits.

We’ve compiled all the fun ways cities have been welcoming The Eras tour, and we’ll be updating it as Swift continues her string of performances. See below.

Glendale, Ariz.

Mayor Jerry Weiers of Glendale, Ariz., officially renamed the city to honor The Eras tour kickoff on March 17.

“And now therefore, I, Jerry P. Weiers, mayor of the city of Glendale, on behalf of our city council, do hereby proclaim that on March 17 and 18, 2023, the city of Glendale will be renamed Swift City,” he said in a ceremonial press conference to share the news before sneaking in a couple of lyrical references. “And all Swifties are encouraged to share their smiles that could light up this whole town on all the social media platforms because the best people in life are free.”

Sin City lit up their Gateway Arches every night ahead of Swift’s shows on March 24 and 25, representing all of the singer’s albums.

Arlington, Texas

In celebration of the the three shows at AT&T Stadium from March 31 to April 2, Arlington went all out with fun attractions and events, from a new street called “Taylor Swift Way” to a pet adoption spree. They even gave Swift a key to the city.

Tampa, Fla.

Tay enjoyed her time in Tampa from April 13 to 15 as mayor of the city.

“Hey Taylor, this is Mayor Jane Castor. We are so excited to welcome you to Tampa,” the city’s mayor said in a one-minute video. “We know Glendale  changed its name , Arlington made a  street sign , and  Vegas  illuminated their Gateway Arches, but here in Tampa, we’ve got a reputation to uphold,” Castor said of the stunts pulled by cities on earlier “Eras” dates to make the stops a little more special. “We want to go bigger. So I want to present you with a key to the city.”

She also invited Swift to be the city’s honorary mayor for a day. “Mayor Swift has a nice ring to it,” Castor said as she opened up a wooden box containing Taylor’s magic key. “We can’t wait to welcome you and your fans to Tampa (Taylor’s Version).”

Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo revealed that the stadium Swift performed at from April 21 to 23 would be renamed “NRG Stadium (Taylor’s Version)” throughout the weekend. To add to the fun, banners with the temporary name were hung at the stadium’s north and south entrances.

“With the name change, I know it’ll never go out of style,” Hidalgo announced in a social media video. “Plus, it’s not only the young that enjoy your music. I hope your stay is beyond your wildest dreams, and for everyone in Harris County, let’s get ready for it!”

Ahead of Swift’s trio of hometown shows in Nashville, Mayor John Cooper unveiled a new bench dedicated to the pop star , complete with a plaque referencing one of her “Invisible String” lyrics: “Green was the color of the grass where I used to read at Centennial Park”.

“For Taylor Swift,” reads the plaque. “A bench for you to read on at Centennial Park. Welcome home, Nashville.”

Music City also named May 5-7, 2023 — aka the Nissan Stadium Eras Tour dates — Taylor Swift Homecoming Weekend. To deliver the news, Cooper issued an official proclamation referencing dozens of Swift’s lyrics, writing, “Long story short, Taylor Swift is a legendary musician, producer, and director” and “Karma is Taylor Swift coming straight home to Nashville to play three sold-out tour performances at Nissan stadium.”

Philadelphia

All Taylor, all the time! Radio station 96.5 FM (WTDY) in the City of Brotherly Love temporarily renamed itself to Ninety-Swift-Five T-A-Y in honor of the pop superstar’s shows at Lincoln Financial Field May 12-14. The station played music exclusively from Swift’s catalog during that period, and also changed its logos online and on social media platforms to reflect “Taylor’s Hits.”

East Rutherford, N.J.

Swift’s three-night stand at MetLife Stadium from May 26 to 28 prompted an official proclamation from the state’s governor, Philip D. Murphy.

The governor declared, with mock solemnity, the Taylor Swift Ham, Egg and Cheese Sandwich to be the “state sandwich of New Jersey.” This ends what has apparently been a rolling debate in the Garden State as to whether a ham sandwich should be called a New Jersey pork roll (which they call it in the southern part of the state) or a Taylor ham sandwich (the term favored in the northern part of the state).

Murphy’s proclamation was studded with Swift puns: “WHEREAS, New Jersey has a Reputation for great debates on whether it is Taylor Ham or Pork Roll; and WHEREAS, in honor of one of The Best Days, New Jersey is Enchanted to announce the Taylor Swift Ham, Egg and Cheese as the official State Sandwich of New Jersey and end the Great War between Taylor Ham and Pork Roll.”

Before Swifties assembled at Chicago’s Soldier Field in June, Skydeck Chicago and Willis Tower lit up their twin antennas in a variety of album-themed colors to celebrate.

Minneapolis

On Wednesday, June 21, Minneapolis mayor Jacob Frey announced that he would be renaming the city “Swiftie-apolis” in honor of Taylor Swift and her Eras Tour. “We are renaming Minneapolis to ‘Swiftie-apolis.’ As a singer, songwriter, performer and producer, Taylor is one of the most popular artists, and we’re expecting hundreds of thousands to visit our downtown and experience our city as a result,” he said.

To celebrate Swift’s sold-out shows in the state, Minnesota’s Governor Tim Walz sent out a proclamation naming June 23 and 24 “Taylor Swift Days.”

“Taylor Swift has  enchanted  and inspired Minnesotans and people all over the world,” Walz wrote in the Swift pun-filled official document that he tweeted out on Friday . “Taylor Swift will  forever & always  be a positive influence, setting an example with her truthfulness, grace, and strength of character.”

Bellevue, Ky.

Before Swift had two sold out shows at the city’s Paycor Stadium, Bellevue renamed Taylor Avenue to Taylor Swift Avenue, and put up a hot pink sign to celebrate.

Bellevue’s Mayor Charlie Cleves told WCPO that the idea came from a text exchange between himself and the Director of Marketing and Communications Melissa Morandi. “[Melissa] texted me a story that Taylor Swift’s concert would bring in [millions of] dollars to our region. I immediately called her and said, ‘This could be great for Bellevue businesses because Taylor Avenue is only 1.5 miles from the venue.’ Melissa replied back, ‘You mean Taylor Swift Avenue.’ I then replied, ‘Yes, I can make a proclamation making Taylor Ave, Taylor Swift Avenue.’ It exploded from there,” he told the station.

Santa Clara, Calif.

Mayor Lisa Gillmor announced on July 18 that city would be temporarily renamed “Swiftie Clara,” and the pop star was named its honorary mayor ahead of her Eras Tour shows.

Taylor Swift's 'Eras Tour' Is Going To Japan, Australia, Europe & More

The singer announced more international tour dates for the Eras Tour .

Taylor Swift is back on tour for the first time in five years. Since her last tour, she’s put out a whopping four albums, each with its own mythology, color scheme and unique sound to mark whatever era of her life — both creatively and musically — she’s currently in. When it comes to Taylor, there’s something for everyone: There’s the longing cottage-core of folklore and evermore , the self-hating, depressive late nights of Midnights , the dreamy rosy-eyed glasses of Lover . Swift is now revisiting these eras on her latest Eras Tour which, after an extensive 2023 U.S., Mexico, and South America run, will finally make its way overseas in 2024 to Japan, Australia, Singapore, and Europe.

In true Taylor form, she’s bringing her friends along for the ride — who encompass a wide swatch of generations and music tastes as varied as Swift’s own catalogue. Swift is supported by Paramore, beabadoobee, Phoebe Bridgers, girl in red, MUNA, HAIM, GAYLE, Gracie Abrams, and OWENN on the tour’s 2023 U.S. leg. (Yes, you have permission to scream!) While Sabrina Carpenter will take over for Swift’s shows in Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and a few 2024 dates in Australia and Singapore. Paramore will return as openers for her 2024 European shows.

The Eras Tour kicked off March 18, 2023 in Glendale, AZ, the same place her “Reputation” tour began in 2018, with the U.S. leg wrapping in L.A.’s SoFi Stadium on August 9 — the same place she was set to open her 2020 Lover Fest mini-tour. Following shows in Mexico and South America, she embarks on her third leg of international dates starting February 2024.

Who is opening on the Eras Tour ?

Paramore is opening for Swift across all the European dates of the 2024 international leg of the Eras Tour — that’s a whopping 48 shows.

Sabrina Carpenter , meanwhile, will be the sole opener for the entirety of the Mexico and South America leg of the tour, and on select dates in the 2024 international leg.

For the U.S. leg, Swift had a different opener (or two!) depending on the city and which include entirely women bands. Many of whom are artists she’s collaborated with before and who make music you can cry, or scream to: Paramore, beabadoobee, Phoebe Bridgers, girl in red, MUNA, HAIM, GAYLE, Gracie Abrams, and OWENN.

Taylor Swift returns to Nashville, reveals ‘Speak Now’ date

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Taylor Swift is playing catch-up with her fans this year in a massive and impressive stadium show that embraces her artistic reinventions.

Nearly two months into the 52-show Eras Tour, Swift returned Friday to the origins of her musical career in Nashville, Tennessee, a city she outgrew as a country starlet destined for pop stardom.

In front of 70,000 fans, Swift dropped the news that she would be releasing a re-recording of her Nashville-era 2010 record, “Speak Now,” on July 7.

Swift started releasing new versions of her early albums in 2021, after a dispute over the ownership of the masters, which were sold to — and then by — music executive Scooter Braun. “Speak Now,” Swift’s third album, will also be the third “Taylor’s Version” recording — she released the re-recordings of 2008’s “Fearless” and 2012’s “Red” in 2021.

“Speak Now” was an album she wrote entirely by herself and she performed one of the singles, “Sparks Fly” after her announcement, followed by “Teardrops on My Guitar,” from her 2006 self-titled debut record.

The tour started chaotically with a breakdown of Ticketmaster’s ability to withstand the demand of fans, who were eager to see Swift after an extended hiatus from touring due to the coronavirus pandemic. Those who were lucky enough to get into the first of three shows in Nashville made sure to show out in their cosplay outfits inspired by Taylor’s songs, ranging from marching band geek to cardigans and cottagecore.

“I moved to Nashville nearly 20 years ago,” she told the crowd. “And this dream I had since I was so little I can’t even remember even first having it, this dream came true because of this town and the people in it.”

She started off the nearly 3.5-hour show with a line from “Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince” as a gentle spring rain sprinkled on the crowd: “It’s been a long time coming, but it’s you and me, that’s my whole world.”

The Eras tour theme is a natural fit for an artist whose music is often so self-referential, winking and smiling at the previous Taylors and their moments. The show is broken up into acts, not moving chronologically through her discography, but instead presenting like a house with many rooms. The color schemes, choreographed dancers and outfits support the overall feeling of musical theater, with a stage that incorporates rising platforms and hidden trap doors she can disappear through.

With over 40 songs on the setlist from her 10 albums, Swift hits a lot of the highlights of her singles, ranging from “You Belong With Me,” “Shake It Off,” “Bad Blood,” “Anti-Hero” and “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” But she also made time for special songs, like her 10-minute fan favorite “All Too Well,” and brought back opening act Phoebe Bridgers to perform their duet “Nothing New,” a vault track released on “Red (Taylor’s Version).”

It was a five-year wait to see all the glittering chapters of Swift’s career on stage together, but the pop star’s marathon performance carried fans through to the last notes.

The third night of The Eras Tour in Nashville on May 7, 2023, was a storm of success that left many people, including Taylor Swift, with a night to remember forever and ever.

The Eras Tour show in Nashville on May 7, 2023 was delayed approximately 2 hours due to the rain, thunder, and lightning. Despite the delay, thousands of people sheltered in place for hours and one of those people was me. The hope that Taylor will inevitably perform for us all kept many people in place as we waited.

 Thankfully the show began after 10 p.m.

The stadium filled with cheers, smiles, tears of joy, and dancing as the call was made for everyone to return to their seats and prepare for the show. Me and my close friend screamed and quickly began trading friendship bracelets with the people who were sitting next to us. Despite it continuing to rain and being a delayed show, everyone was filled with life.

 It was like we survived “The Great War.” As the countdown began for Taylor Swift to come onstage, I began to cry. The cheers and the excitement filled me with so many wonderful emotions.

I was about to see Taylor Swift, in real life, not far from me, and she was going to perform for us no matter how much rain or how late the show went. 

My tears helped in creating puddles on the pavement, and there she was, the beautiful petal like covers went up and she was the afterglow of all our fears. For hours we all feared that all our anticipation for this night would crumble. Hours of anticipating the worst turned into the pure excitement and overwhelming joy of seeing her dance and sing infront of us. 

I am pretty sure I cried and screamed along with her for the whole “Lover” set, and it was the most magical opening to a concert I’ve ever seen. All the visuals on the screen were so clear and stunning that everyone had a chance to experience the true magic of it all no matter where they sat in the stadium. I adored the glow she had on the screen, with all the stunning visuals, it was immersive. 

Then the “Fearless” era began. Her cute fringe dress brought me back. It made me think of her beginning as an artist (Even though the fearless album was her second) because all the joy on her and her fellow band members faces gave a little bit of nostalgia and innocence to the whole set. 

The tone shifted and Taylor Swift came out in her “evermore” era. The pine trees that grew from the stage made you feel like you were in a forest with her and she was telling you a story. She was a storyteller and a performer as well.

When the lights were held up in honor of Swift’s grandmother, Marjorie, it lit up the stadium in such a meaningful glow.  Then before “Champagne Problems” she talked to us just about whatever. Her rambles were like they were between a close friend and another at a party. As we traveled farther and farther through the eras, you never felt bored or wishing it was over. 

Taylor Swift and the show kept you enthralled and you were excited to hear her talk to you more and more. Everyone in the audience felt even more connected than what I believe it would’ve felt like on a normal night. We were all in the pouring rain enjoying the show and bonding as Taylor Swift herself said we were river otters. 

The storm and the distant lightning only added to the performance. With rain being kicked and Taylor Swift, despite all the water, not minimizing any of her choreography, it was all so unbelievable but it was real. 

Surprise Songs

The two surprise songs of the night were, “Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve” and “Mine.” The first surprise song was my most wanted surprise song, and I can’t believe I got to see Taylor Swift perform it live. 

I believe if anyone who likes Taylor Swift has a chance to see the concert you should take the opportunity to. She puts on a stunning performance that didn’t make me feel like I just stayed up hours past my bedtime, and every minute was worth the money spent. She makes sure you have a magical time and get your money’s worth. 

From the crowds outside the stadium listening along, the surprise songs every show, leaning off the stage in the pouring rain to sing at the members behind the stage, and the trading of friendship bracelets, it’s a night you won’t forget. All of it was because of Taylor Swift.

Eras Tour tips: How to avoid scammers when buying Taylor Swift tickets

Taylor Swift fans longing to see the Eras Tour in Europe or North America should beware of scammers getting creative to lure them into spending hundreds and thousands on fake tickets. 

“Any large influx of people, money and attention to one area will be a lightning rod for attackers,” says Dr. Andrew Reeves, a psychologist and researcher for the University of Adelaide in Australia. Reeves studied scams during the first year of the Eras Tour. He looks for ways scammers leverage human vulnerabilities to launch their attacks.

“We expected that attackers would be sending phishing emails saying that there’s tickets on sale or maybe there’s a problem with your tickets and click here to resolve,” he says. “But the most common was they were masquerading as your friends or hacking into people’s accounts that you know on social media and saying, ‘Hey, I’ve got a ticket to the Eras Tour and I can’t go anymore.’”

That exact scenario happened to Nikki Duplessis right after Christmas in Merthyr Tydfil, United Kingdom. She wanted to take her sister to the concert.

“Taylor has helped us work through the trauma of losing our mum,” she said.

A friend tagged Duplessis in the comments section of a mutual friend’s Facebook post selling three tickets to the Liverpool, England, show on June 14 for £188 ($233) each. 

“The person messaged me on Facebook Messenger, and I sent the money,” Duplessis said, showing screenshots of the exchange. “And then I was blocked. The account had been hacked.”

Duplessis reported the transaction to her bank but was unable to get her £564 ($699) back. She still doesn’t have tickets to the show.

“There is one element that is specific to Taylor and plays perfectly into an attacker’s playbook, which is attackers love to make people scared and think quickly,” Reeves said. “They want people to act impulsively and not think, ‘Should I do this?’”

'Disruptors and soul deconstructors'

Dazen Vrilla counted days and counted miles to see Swift perform in Singapore. The Indonesian journalist tried to get tickets when they were released on Ticketmaster but had no luck securing seats to the only concert stop in Southeast Asia .

“I turned 30 in December and I told my best friend that I don’t care what you do, I want a ticket to Taylor Swift for my birthday,” she said over WhatsApp. 

Her best friend had a friend, Shania Sisilia, with an extra ticket purchased from a third party. Vrilla and Sisilia met months before the Singaporean concert at the Eras Tour movie.

“I trusted her because my friend introduced me to her and I trusted him,” Vrilla said. The two ventured to Singapore and met at the Changi Airport, recording videos of their journey to National Stadium.

Vrilla was afraid to think about the possibility the tickets weren’t real. Sisilia purchased the tickets for five million Indonesian Rupiah (about $315) each and had them transferred to her Apple Wallet.

The two walked up to the stadium in their sparkly outfits.

“It was the moment of truth, and I thought, ‘Oh God, please don’t fail me, please don’t fail me,” Vrilla said. The light that would flash green if the tickets were legitimate did not.

Sisilia broke down in tears. As they figured out what to do next, they witnessed many others get turned away including Americans who flew 10,000 miles with false tickets.

“We noticed maybe about 50 people get turned away at our gate,” Vrilla says. “I think the reason many people got scammed is most of the Singapore audience came from overseas.”

Heartbroken, Vrilla and Sisilia “Taylorgated" with other fans outside of the stadium, dancing and singing to Swift’s voice. Vrilla posted a video on Instagram of the scam that went viral, and the Swifties of Indonesia came to the rescue.

“I got a WhatsApp link sent to me,” Vrilla said. “There was an entire group of people going to the concert, and after they heard my situation, they found both of us tickets on April 7. We paid face value.”

Vrilla got a VIP seat on the floor for $1,200, and because she’s an investigative reporter, she tracked down the scammer and got her money back.

“It’s the greatest concert I’ve ever been to,” she said. “I know it doesn’t happen for everyone, but it worked out.”

Tips to avoid scams

• The No. 1 tip is to always book and buy through Swift’s website for international and domestic concert dates . There are resell sites linked when you click on the shows from her page. Keep refreshing daily to see if any new opportunities pop up.
• Is it too good to be true? Swift’s Eras Tour is an anomaly of epic proportions. She’s shattered records, and demand is very high. If something sounds too good to be true, question and verify before sending money.
• Do not click suspicious links or download apps that you enter your information into. 
• Don’t be “pals” with someone you’ve never met on PayPal. Send money under “Goods and Services,” which makes it easier to dispute purchases.
• Always verify a post on social media by calling your friend selling the ticket or meeting them in person.
• Be wary of third-party sites. Some fans have had luck with stubhub.com and other resellers. But some have traveled long distances overseas only to have their tickets not work.
• Nearly all tickets are digital. Be circumspect about buying printed tickets.

Phishers are not the sweetest cons

There are 69 shows left in 2024 as Swift continues her global conquest through Europe and North America. As the number of concerts dwindles, scam opportunities may increase. Be vigilant and empathetic with anyone you know who falls victim.

“A hack can happen to anyone,” Reeves said. “It could happen to me, even though I work in the industry. Don’t shame people if they fall victim because we need people to speak out about the attacks so that other people are aware of the methods and stop the scammers in their tracks.”

Billie Eilish won't be hitting Florida hard or soft in the near future.

Multiple Grammy and Oscar-winning singer-songwriter Eilish is going global in a big way for her new album , " Hit Me Hard and Soft ," with an 81-date worldwide tour, but she's skirting the Sunshine State, at least for now.

Instead, the tour is hitting 19 U.S. states, jumping back and forth across the country and ducking into Canada a few times, before heading overseas to Australia, the Netherlands and Europe in a widespread 10-month tour.

Eilish's third album comes hard on the heels of winning, with her brother and collaborator Finneas, just about every award possible for "What Was I Made For?" from the "Barbie" movie soundtrack.

Here's what to know.

When does the Billie Eilish Hit Me Hard and Soft tour begin?

The first show is in Québec on September 29, 2024. Her first U.S. show will be in Baltimore, Maryland on Oct. 4.

American Express cardholders can score presale tickets starting April 30, with more presales running the rest of the week.

General tickets go on sale Friday, May 3. More information will be available through the Billie Eilish website where tour merch and album preorders are already available.

Taylor Swift adds three more concerts in Singapore, which remains the only Southeast Asian stop of The Eras Tour

Swift's only other Asia stops on the Eras Tour are in Tokyo, Japan

Taylor Swift has added three more shows in Singapore for the Asia leg of the Eras tour, bringing the total number of concerts she’ll play in the Southeast Asian city-state to six.

On Sunday (June 25), concert promoter AEG Presents Asia took to social media to announce the new 2024 tour dates, added due to “overwhelming response”. On top of the existing March 2-4 shows, she’ll play three new concerts from March 7-9. All Sabrina Carpenter . Singapore will be the tour’s only stop in Southeast Asia, per AEG Presents.

Fan registration for the general on-sale has begun here and ends 12pm local time on June 28. UOB Cardmembers pre-sales, which have a limited number of tickets available, kick off from 12pm local time on July 5 until 9am on July 7. General tickets will go on sale from 12pm local time on July 7 via Ticketmaster . Only access code holders will be able to purchase tickets in this general on-sale.

“We encourage all fans to register now until 28 June, 12pm (SGT), including UOB Cardmembers, for a chance to purchase tickets during the General On-sale,” AEG Presents said.

Swift’s Singapore shows come as part of larger announcement of international Eras Tour dates that include stops in South America, Europe, the UK and Australia.

Taylor Swift announced the ‘Taylor’s Version’ re-recording of her third album, ‘Speak Now’, revealing it onstage during the Nashville stop of her ‘Eras’ tour in May. It is set to arrive on July 7, with Fall Out Boy and Paramore’s Hayley Williams confirmed as featured guests.

She last released her latest album ‘Midnights’ in October 2022. The record scored a four-star review from NME ’s Hannah Mylrea, who wrote: “After a foray into a different sonic world, on Swift’s return to pure pop she still shimmers.”

Taylor Swift is scheduled to hold nine consecutive shows in Canada this year as part of “The Eras Tour.” The tour, initially planned for Toronto and Vancouver from August 20 to December 8, has been extended to include additional cities such as Miami, New Orleans, Indianapolis, and Toronto. This expansion has resulted in the addition of a total of 15 extra concerts to the North American leg of the tour.

As part of her 2024 North American tour, Taylor will also be performing in Miami, Florida (Hardrock Stadium), and New Orleans, Louisiana (Caesars Superdome), with the tour slated to commence on October 18.
