This is an antique Roycroft Little Journeys book stand from the early 1900's Mission and Arts & Crafts period in very good condition.

The piece is made of quarter sawn oak and has a heavy overcoat on the finish.

It has excellent form with shoe feet and 4 keyed through tenons on the sides.

It is signed with a metal tag and is sturdy and strong. The stand is a great versatile size.

Agree with Pinto. The color is excellent. Very nicely done!  

It looks great and I especially like the through tenons and tusks. Elbert would definitely approve. I also like the pots; they really add to the overall look.  

I also agree that you really nailed the color! That's a great looking reading table, and I can imagine sitting in a library, on a rainy afternoon, by the fire, enjoying this table!

Thanks for the great comments. The pottery is Roseville Mostique. It was introduced in 1916. The bookends are hammered copper from the Roycroft Copper shop (circa 1910). The set of Little Journeys is from 1916 and the copy of "A Message to Garcia" was printed in 1913. You can read many of the Little Journeys stories online from Google Play.
