This Exclusive  12 Nights/13 Days Tour  sums up all the wonders that  Tuscany, Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast  share. Even more than that, it lets you live and breathe like a true Italian and teaches you a lot about Italy’s history, art scene and architecture.

It all starts in the tiny villages of  Montalcino and Pienza , known for the  Brunello wine  which you are about to taste along with a fine dining experience in the heart of the Orcia Valley. The historical center is dominated by the mighty and imposing fortress built in 1361. Another landmark of Montalcino is the tall and slender clock tower that graces the Palazzo dei Priori, the city’s town hall, while below lays the main square known as Piazza del Popolo with its characteristic Gothic loggia. You will tour Tuscany’s jewel, Pienza, a complete Renaissance creation as many other in Italy.  Pope Pius II conceived Pienza , his birthplace, as a Utopian “new town.”

The tour then moves to  Siena and the Chianti region  – once again known for its collection of traditional wines and architecture that is built in gothic style. The next day is reserved for Siena admiring the Palazzo Salimbeni built in gothic style is now the headquarters of the bank Monte dei Paschi di Siena and Palazzo Tolomei one of the oldest in Siena. With your private guide you learn the history and the tradition of Siena visit a contrada and reach Piazza del Campo. the principal public space of the historic center of Siena and is where the Palio race is held.

Florence , as the birthplace of art and architecture, offers visits to Palaces and towers that are rich in medieval stories. You also shouldn’t miss stepping foot into the three famous churches: San Michele, Duomo and Santa Trinita. As you walk down some of Florence’s famous shopping streets, you’ll happen upon old spy towers and palaces abundant in history. Be sure to take a break from all the hustle and bustle of world-class shopping to revisit these cultural monuments.

For a delicate end, we are taking you to  Capri and the Amalfi Coast  where you can dip into the blue waters and enjoy the holiday mood. This part of the tour also combines a bit of history, in the medieval towns of  Pompeii and Sorrento  known for their vast history, Roman buildings and medieval architecture.

You will adore  Positano , a picturesque town with many villas and houses styled in different colors, unique shops and luxury restaurants ideal for private food and wine tours. Positano is one of the most gorgeous cliff towns in Italy offering private luxury tours with an amazing presence of nostalgia for the typical Italian holiday. Eating pizza in a restaurant and going for the typical Italian ‘gelato’ on the beach afterward is how to get the authentic taste of a private tour to Positano and Amalfi Coast

What Our Guests Say

We had an amazing time touring Tuscany with Niccoló! He was very knowledgeable about the area and wineries. The van was very comfortable for riding around to the different stops and having a small intimate group made the experience special. The tastings were excellent and we got to try a variety of wines, olive oils, and vinegars. The lunch stop was an awesome pairing of traditional Tuscan food and a lot of wine!

My husband and I had a fantastic day visiting Castello Tricerchi, tasting delicious wines and cooking with Alexandra. Even though I looovvee wine, the cooking and eating really made the day. The kitchen is cozy and has an incredible view of vineyards and the rolling hills of Tuscany. We made 2 kinds of pasta and tiramisu. Alexandra was a great teacher and very fun to spend the afternoon with. We will be sure to practice our new culinary skills once we get home. I urge you to book this very intimate and fun experience.

This was the highlight of our trip to Italy! The cooking class was awesome, the wine was delicious, and the views were amazing. We had a group of 7 and all of us said the food was the best we had while in Italy.

Outstanding tour! We loved everything— great communication, very professional and friendly driver, sparking clean van, gorgeous wineries with delicious and informative tastings. Our first stop was a lovely historic winery, then a stop in beautiful San Gimignano, and finally a lavish lunch and tasting at another lovely winery. Everything was picture perfect. Highly recommend!

Bellissimo! 5 Stunning Amalfi Coast Boat Trips

Posted on 11th Sep 2024. In Culture , European Weekends , Italy , Sponsored

amalfi-coast-boat-trip.png?w=1024&h=793&scale

The Amalfi Coast needs no real introduction. This incredible 50km (31 mile) stretch of jagged coastline in Southern Italy’s Campania region is a beautiful necklace of grand villas, citrus groves, and colourful insta-worthy towns. All fringed by the azure waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Exploring the Amfali Coast by Vespa or car and enjoying the shapes and bends of its cliff-hugging roads (the famous Amalfi Drive) is a must. But to get a unique vista of the region’s waterfront towns – such as Positano , Sorrento , and Amalfi – a boat trip has to be on your wishlist.

We’ve partner with Sorrento Voyage – providers of extraordinary experiences – to share with you 5 wonderful and bespoke Amalfi Coast boat trips to help you make the most of the Dolce Vita glamour of this, one of Italy’s most iconic settings.

All experiences, products and stays are independently selected by our editors. If you book or buy something, we may earn an affiliate commission.

Private Positano Boat Tour

7hrs | Customisable | English speaking guide | Welcome drinks and snacks | POA

positano from the water on a boat trip

Positano – playground to the ‘it’ crowd – has come a long way since its humble fishing village roots. From the water, the colourful houses seem to climb the cliff in a pyramid-shaped expanse all the way to the sky.

This private Positano boat tour with Sorrento Voyage takes you to Positano for the day, departing from Sorrento, Naples, and Amalfi. You’ll get plenty of opportunity to swim in turquoise waters (beach towels, snorkel equipment and water toys are included), as well as being shown the best viewpoints for enviable photos by your guide.

Naturally, time to explore Positano is also included – just remember to bring sturdy shoes (and lungs) because the village is steep and only accessible via a seemingly endless series of staircases cut into the cliff. For the return journey, opt for a stop at Nerano – a charming seaside village known for its fresh seafood and the renowned “spaghetto alla Nerano”.

  • Fully customisable trip to fit your specific needs and group size
  • Hotel pickups, guided tours, flexible itineraries, and special lunch arrangements also available
  • Expert skippers with invaluable local tips and advice to make the best of Positano
  • Enjoy snorkeling in the vibrant waters around Positano
  • For love birds on the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento Voyage also offer a bespoke, romantic wedding proposal boat trip
