Touch down in Singapore and check into your hotel located in the heart of the city centre. With three nights in this sparkling city you’ve plenty of time to explore. During your stay, be sure to check out Sentosa  - home to beaches, waterparks, bird and butterfly sanctuaries, Southeast Asia’s steepest zip wire and a whole heap of white-knuckle adventures. In the evening, why not set off on a thrilling night safari at the world-renowned Singapore Zoo. Look out for rhinos, elephants, tigers and more!

Your next stop is Ubud, a peaceful, spiritual place filled with temples and surrounded by emerald green rice paddies. Singapore, lah! This modern city-state is small in stature but packs a punch on the holiday front, with a magnetic urban environment and old-world Asian charm. The four official languages of Singapore reflect its diversity: English, Chinese, Malay and Tamil. It's a little cultural microcosm of Asia.

There are more than five million in this city state – which includes 63 islands – at the tip of the Malay Peninsula. Yet, the streets are clean, the buildings gleam and traffic jams are non-existent.

More than 50 per cent of its area is parks and this 'garden city' is known for its top shopping and fine food. When the bright lights of Marina Bay come calling, there’s little sense in resisting the lure of one of Asia’s most glamorous cities.

Boasting plenty of high-quality restaurants, trendy new nightclubs and a stunning water-lined location, there’s so much to see and do in Singapore you won’t know where to start! The landscaped, cage-free Singapore Zoo is a premier attraction, famed as one of the prettiest zoos in the world.

Those visitors who don't have the zoo on their list of things to do in Singapore may well be planning to shop. Orchard Road is comparable with New York's Fifth Avenue or Tokyo's Ginza when it comes to retail therapy.

Universal Studios Singapore, the Botanic Gardens and Sentosa Island all ensure there’s no shortage of familiar sights to enjoy in the ever-changing Lion City.

Eat and Drink »

Singapore does more than a 'Singapore Sling', but the iconic tipple should still find a plus on your must-try list. Singapore restaurants are famed for their fare. A blend of Malay, Chinese, Indian and Western influences make for gastronomic treats. Being a maritime city, Singapore also does seafood well and its most famous dish is probably chilli crab.

You can find Michelin-starred tapas at 'Esquina', and a fun crowd at The Cufflink Club, while fine dining at a modest price can be enjoyed at The Clan Restaurant. If you want to try a bit of everything cheaply under one roof, your best bet is to find a 'hawker centre' , where you can get a hearty meal for a few dollars. Be sure to try the Tian Chicken Rice at Maxwell Food Centre!

Where to Stay »

There's always a high season here, so booking Singapore accommodation well in advance is advisable. The high turnover of business guests means this can be a tough town if you're looking for budget properties, but they do exist; primarily in Little India, Bugis and Clarke Quay.

Mid-range hotels cluster near the western end of the Singapore River and you'll find a few boutique properties in Chinatown and Tanjong Pagar too. The most choice exists at the luxury end of the spectrum - anyone who's anyone has heard of Raffles Hotel . If you're on a romantic break or are looking for a family-friendly resort, you might like to try Sentosa Island.

What's not to buy here? Shopping in Singapore is almost a national pastime. Ann Siang Road is a designer fashion hub saturated with patisseries and niche bookshops. Little India draws a mixed crowd (and includes the shopping hot spot Mustafa Centre), while Singapore's Chinatown is one of Asia's most dynamic.

For a choice of more than 300 high fashion stores and restaurants, ION Orchard is where it's at. Haji Lane is a vintage-lover's dream, but the mother of all Singapore shopping is to be had on Orchard Road – a meticulously landscaped 2.2-kilometres of six department stores, 22 malls and close to 5,000 brands.

Singapore like a Local

Singapore events pop up throughout the year, so consider timing your trip to celebrate with the locals. Marina Bay lights up for the annual Singapore Formula One Grand Prix, while the Singapore Food Festival tempts epicureans with its delectable delights.

If you're invited to a Singaporean's home, be sure to take off your shoes before entering. When choosing an appropriate gift, keep in mind that white flowers are usually reserved for funerals and clocks also bear bad symbolic connotations. Most Singaporeans speak more than one language, but you will find Mandarin the most widely spoken.

Insider tips...

• Always pack an umbrella in your day pack in case of tropical showers and some tissues – you won’t find many napkins at food stalls
• The retail day doesn’t start until 11am but the best time to shop is in the evening when the temperature has dropped and the main shopping strips such as Orchard Road are still buzzing. Most shops don’t close until 10pm.
• Tourists can claim a refund on the 7 per cent Goods and Services Tax on purchases above SGD$100 at the departure hall of Changi Airport within two months from the date of purchase

FCTG entered the Hong Kong corporate travel market in 2002 through the acquisition of American International Travel Ltd, a leading Hong Kong travel management company which had operated for more than 40 years in the local market. Flight Centre Travel Group’s presence in Hong Kong is through its large market corporate brand, FCM.

Flight Centre Travel Group entered the Indian market in 2005 and currently has a strong corporate presence with its large market corporate travel brand FCM. Currently, FCM has 17 offices and supports 1000+ employees including a foreign exchange business.

FCTG entered Mainland China’s corporate travel market through a 50% joint venture with China Comfort Travel, which at the time was one of the top five travel agency groups in the country. Today, FCTG has an ownership stake of 98.4% and has also set up several wholly owned operations in the local market. FCM China is now one of the most established travel management companies in the market. Currently, FCTG operates its corporate travel brand in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou.

Flight Centre Travel Group entered Malaysia in 2016 through the acquisition of Worldwide Aviation Sales Sdn. Bhd., a Malaysian travel management company which had been operating since 1982.  FCTG also operates the FCM corporate brand in the local market.

One of Singapore’s oldest urban quarters, Kampong Gelam is an alluring neighbourhood where age-old traditions meet trendy lifestyles. With a strong Malay-Arab influence, admire the golden dome of the Sultan Mosque set amidst modern art galleries and cafes.

The Free Singapore Tour is open to all travellers transiting in Changi Airport.

Valid for passengers with layover of at least 5.5 hours, and less than 24 hours, and with flight schedules that fit the tour timing requirements.

* Eligibility to participate in the tour is subject to visa entry requirements stipulated by the  Immigrations & Checkpoints Authority of Singapore . Please enquire at the Free Singapore Tour Booths for more information.

How To Register ?

• Singapore Airlines and Scoot passengers can pre-book the tour via  online booking page . You may scroll down to view and book all the tour types.
• Please note that while making the booking, you will have to input the name of all passengers going on the tour so that we can reserve the corresponding number of spaces.
• When you arrive at Changi Airport, please remain in the transit area and do not clear immigration as the registration booths are located at the transit area.

2) At Changi Airport

Present your boarding passes and valid entry visas (if applicable) at the Free Singapore Tours booths located at:

• Terminal 2 transit, Near Skytain to Terminal 3, Gate F50
• Terminal 3 transit, Near Transfer Lounge A, Gate A1-A8

Important Things To Note:

• Registration will close 1 hour before the tour start time and participants will be guided as a group to clear immigration before the tour starts.
• Availability of seats is on a first-come-first-serve basis.
• Transit passengers are allowed to enter and exit Singapore only once during their layover period, as per guidelines stipulated by Immigration & Checkpoints Authority of Singapore. Therefore, passengers are not able to join more than one tour.
• Tour itinerary is subject to changes, depending on weather and traffic conditions.
• Should you have cabin baggage, you are encouraged to leave them as Left Baggage counter located  here  prior to registration at the Free Singapore Tour booth.
• There are food sampling segments on some of the tour itineraries. If you have any food allergies, please take precautions and sign up at your own discretion. Please also inform the tour guide before the tour starts.

This free 2.5-hour City Sights Tour showcases modern Singapore and how our magnificent cityscape has been built in a sustainable way to ensure a vibrant and liveable city. 

Stopovers at Merlion Park will give you some time to take photos against the iconic Marina Bay and the city skyline. The second stop at Gardens by the Bay will wow you with an amazing view of the Supertrees as you walk towards the world-famous Marina Bay Sands.

Service Counters Please stay in the transit area and do not clear immigration

• Terminal 2:  Level 2, Transit Area, (near Gate F50)
• Terminal 3:  Level 2, Transit Area, (near Gate A1 - A8)
• Other Terminals: Please take the skytrain within the Transit area and proceed to Terminal 3 for registration.

Required Documents Passport, boarding passes, entry visa (if applicable) and tour booking confirmation

Kindly note that  90 minutes  is set aside between Reporting Time and Tour Timing for the clearance of Arrival Immigration.

Orchard Road

Shopaholics, look no further than Orchard Road. This retail mecca is an urban paradise. Staying here, right in the heart of Singapore, will give you immediate access to the countless stores, eateries, attractions, and facilities that Orchard Road has to offer.
