Star Trek Fleet Command (STFC) Mining Locations

Here are some of the best Star Trek Fleet Command Mining Locations for Dilithium, Crystal, Gas and Ore in Star Trek Fleet Command

Mining is an essential activity in Star Trek Fleet Command (STFC) to produce raw materials which you can refine and use to upgrade your starbase and ships.

ECS Fortunate - Star Trek Fleet Command

Boost mining productivity by assigning the correct officers to your ship and gain bonus mining speed and defence against other players.

Here are some of the best systems in Star Trek Fleet Command for Mining that all-important resource.

  • Latinum Mining Locations

Raw Latinum nodes have been added to 25 systems in the galaxy. The base rate on these nodes improves dramatically in higher-level systems. Additionally, they have a 1 in 8 chance of spawning "rich" raw latinum, which mines at double the base rate! Suliban is a special system and has only rich nodes of various qualities.

Raw latinum can be refined from level 16 in the refinery on a 22hr cooldown. The refining process converts raw latinum into latinum at a guaranteed rate. The conversion process produces ship parts for the Ferengi D'Vor as a byproduct.

  • Dilithium Mining Locations

Dilithium can be found in level 9 systems and above. Try exploring level 9 or higher systems to find dilithium. If you find a location not on this list, let us know in the comments below.

An easier way to obtain dilithium which is quicker and less likely to end in your ship being attacked is to farm hostiles . Certain factions drop up to 100 dilithium crystals with bonus amounts in PVE chests. Check the link to find which systems are best to farm dilithium.

  • Systems with 2-Star Raw Gas

Raw Gas can be found in 3 Grades 2, 3 and 4 stars - and refines into Common, Uncommon in the 2, 3 Grade and an additional Rare quality for the 3 and 4 Star.

Also, it can be sourced throughout the Neutral Zone and the Faction Zones, with the latter, also providing it in large planet-sized quantities with nothing to differentiate it therefore merely clicking on a planet will reveal it's a resource within.

  • Systems with 2-Star Raw Crystal

Raw Crystal can be found in 3 Grades 2, 3 and 4 stars - and refines into Common, Uncommon in the 2, 3 Grade and an additional Rare quality for the 3 and 4 Stars.

  • Systems with 2-Star Raw Ore

Raw ore can be found in 2 Grades 2 and 3 stars - and refines into Common, Uncommon in the 2, 3 Grade and an additional Rare quality for the 3 Star.

The mobile space strategy videogame Star Trek: Fleet Command , which is based around the established lore from the fictional Star Trek universe, is one of the most recent additions to the Star Trek brand. Constructing and managing their own fleets of ships, exploring space, acquiring resources, fighting either bots or in PvP, and other activities are all available to players. In addition to specifically made unique material, the game has spaceships and fan-favorite characters from other Star Trek content as well. Throughout the game, your main goal is to constantly grow your influence by fighting off your enemies and befriending powerful allies, as well as increasing your own strength.

One of the most instrumental parts to Star Trek: Fleet Command is the requirement to harvest resources in the game for your own purposes, or to sell. Because of this deep-seated need for different materials, players are often left spending a lot of time attempting to gather specific resources when they need them. Additionally, there are always pirates (be they NPCs or other players) that are on the lookout to steal hard-earned resources. Sometimes, there are easier methods of obtaining some materials than you would expect, and in this guide we explain how to farm Dilithium.

How to Quickly Gather Dilithium in Star Trek: Fleet Command

star trek fleet dilithium mining location

Dilithium is a rare and highly valuable resource which has many purposes in Star Trek: Fleet Command. Some of these include upgrading your station and ships, through conducting research to improve them. Although there is a way to create Dilithium within your own station, this process is slow, time consuming and yields very little compared to mass-mining the material. Mining is the best method for obtaining a large amount of Dilithium in a short time period, however many other players are looking for the same resource and thus it can be hard to find good mines.

Therefore, to find lots of Dilithium to mine, head for areas of space that are less occupied than others. Places such as Rigel, Clytomenes and others are also often very abundant in the precious resource. One tip for mining Dilithium is that it is often located close to Tritanium, so searching near one element to find the other is not a bad idea. Be sure to watch your protected cargo limit, as more veteran gamers may try to take you out if they see you’re carrying Dilithium and they have a need for it, which is likely due to its rarity. Good luck in your quest to find Dilithium, and happy gaming!

Here Are the Best Crystal Mining Locations In Star Trek Fleet Command

In Star Trek Fleet Command, almost as important as managing your fleet and crew, you’ll need to mine crystals throughout your space journey. Here are the best crystal mining locations in Star Trek Fleet Command.

In Star Trek Fleet Command, you’ll be mining Tritanium, Dilithium Crystals, gas, ore and more. In order to maximize your efficiency in finding these things, we recommend advancing through the story and game enough so that you can upgrade your ship enough to get you to the high-level systems.

It’s in these high-level systems that your chances of finding the more rare materials are significantly increased. You’ll know you can fly to a high-level system when you’re able to fly to a system with a double digit number after its name.

Carnac's Guide to Star Trek Fleet Command

Mining Basics

Carnac | July 25, 2020 June 23, 2020 | Strategy

Mining is one of the more important tasks you need to do in Star Trek Fleet Command. You’ll need it to complete your daily goals, for missions, and to complete events. The better you get at maxing the speed of your miners will let you finish all of those things faster – and let you move on to other more fun things. Hopefully, these mining basics will let you do just that.

What You’ll Be Mining

The resources

The materials. Each of these comes in three grades (2*, 3* and 4*), and you’ll need to refine them to produce the materials needed to upgrade your ships, your station, and your research.

Specialty Items

  • Data (corrupted and uncorrupted)
  • Raw Latinum

Mining Basics – The Right Ship for the Right Job

Different ships specialize in mining different things. These ships give you a bonus that will increase as you level them up. The bonuses listed are for level 1 ships.

  • ECS Fortunate +15% mining rate of Parsteel
  • Envoy +15% mining rate of Tritanium
  • The North Star 0.1% off officers health into 3* mining bonus
  • Horizon +15% mining rate of Dilithium
  • Botany Bay +26,500% mining bonus for corrupted and uncorrupted data
  • D’Vor +12,000% mining bonus for raw data
  • K’Vort +70% mining rate of Crystal
  • Antares +70% mining rate of Gas
  • Valkis +70% mining rate of Ore
  • B’Chor +120% mining rate of Crystal
  • USS Hydra +120% mining rate of Gas
  • Vorta Vor +120% mining rate of Ore
  • Related Article – Please Stop Mining Latinum with Envoys

You can increase the mining speed of your ship by upgrading its mining laser. And by selecting …

The Right Captain

Selecting the right captain for your ship depends on what you’re trying to mine. Each of the members of the Surveyors and Miners group specializes in on resource of material.

  • Helvia +40% mining rate of Parsteel
  • K’Bisch +40% mining rate of Tritanium
  • Domitia +40% mining rate of Dilithium
  • Barot +40% mining rate of Crystal
  • T’Pring +40% mining rate of Gas
  • Stonn +40% mining rate of Ore
  • Joaquin +50% protected cargo
  • Ten of Ten +50% mining rate to Parsteel, Tritanium, and Dilithium

The Officers Matter, Too

Some of the officer abilities also make a huge difference. (In parentheses are the amounts by tier)

  • Joaquin – speed of data mining (40%, 60%, 80%, 100%, 125%)
  • Ten of Ten –  overall mining speed (80%, 100%, 120%, 140%, 160%)
  • T’Pring – protected cargo (50%, 100%, 150%, 200%, 300%)
  • Five of Ten – protected cargo (30%, 35%, 40%, 45%, 50%)

Cadey McCoy’s officer ability, “psychologist,” which increases the effectiveness of the captain maneuver has no impact on mining.

Synergy is King

gas max synergy crew

The other officers on your bridge matter as well. Putting your officers with others from their group will give you a “synergy” bonus to the captain’s ability. Placing a command, science, and engineering officer will also increase your synergy bonus. Officers of higher classes will give even greater synergy bonuses.

The lightning bolt symbols and yellow lines indicate a synergy bonus. The percentages between the officers let you know how much synergy has been added.

Location, Location, Location

Not all nodes are the same. Resource and material nodes will vary by the amount capacity the node has before you have to reset it. This is a big reason why you don’t want to ignore the engines on your miners, and why sometimes it may be worth it sacrifice some synergy to add warp range with Scotty.

Data and Raw Latinum nodes will vary by the speed they allow you to mine. In general, the higher the warp range required to enter a system, the faster the mining rate for these nodes will be.

mining

There are also two systems in Borg space that have the fastest raw latinum nodes in the game. You’ll need special latinum cells obtained by hitting assimilated traders in Borg space and refining the ‘Latinum Antiques” they provide order to gain access to these systems. You’ll need a level 4 to 6 Vi’dar to get Rare Latinum Cells. Your Vi’dar will have to be levels 7 to 9 to get Epic Latinum Cells.

Torra Sedra is a level 28 system, it requires Rare Latinum Cells to enter. Zed Alpha is a level 31 system, and it requires Epic Latinum Cells to enter.

Mining Basics – Protecting Your Cargo

protected mining cargo

In most servers, unprotected cargo is fair game, and going OP, or “over-protected” cargo leaves your ship vulnerable to attack. You can increase this by upgrading the cargo bay on your survey ship, or by tiering up your ship – and by using your officers.

Three officers in the game provide you with cargo protection bonuses. Joaquin’s captain’s ability gives a protection bonus. The officer abilities T’Pring and One of Ten also give protection bonuses.

If you wanted to leave out a miner overnight, you could put all three on one ship and create a Max Protect Crew – or you could put an Augment synergy crew with Joaquin to increase your protected cargo.

Resetting a Node

From time to time, you’ll exhaust a node. You can keep mining it, but you’ll need to reset the node. To do this, simply take the miner off the node, and put it back on. In days of yore, you’d need to change your view out of the system, and put it back in again for the node to reset – but no longer. Of the simple mining basics, this is a big one.

Some of them may be French, who knows?

Cashing in Your Score

Scores for events and daily goals are calculated by when you take your miner off the node (you can put it right back on to keep mining). So you want to make sure that you’ve done frequently so as close to the ending of the current event as possible to make sure all of your points are counted.

You can also “preload” mining for events, but mining as much as possible and not cashing in before dailies or events begin.

Good luck out there.

The Fleet Dilithium Mine is a fleet holding , i.e., a dilithium mine run by a fleet and operated by Reman contractors. The Fleet Dilithium Mine System is located in the Bajor Sector and it provides similar amenities as the Fleet Starbase , including mail , exchange , and bank terminals as well as special Duty Officer assignments and daily mining missions. It has identical maps between Klingon and Federation fleets.

As fleets have expanded their holdings and rosters, a need to secure their supply chains has developed. To ensure that they have enough power to keep up with their demands, fleets have staked out claims on the dilithium-rich asteroids of the Vlugta asteroid belt.

Similar to Fleet Starbases and Embassies, special projects will become available from time to time for fleets’ Dilithium Mines. Completion of these special projects will unlock new features to expand the commercial and technological appearance of your mine. Be quick, though – when a special project becomes available, it will only be available for a limited time; you must start the project before the end of the feature. Once you’ve started the project, you can keep working on it until it’s finished, even if the special event ends. As with Starbases and Embassies, you can only work on one special project at a time, so act fast.

This special project is available now until around when server maintenance starts on September 19, 2013 (or 7AM PDT — whichever is earlier).

Keep checking back to see what’s next on the featured project list. We hope you are enjoying Legacy of Romulus and we’ll see you in-game.
