Back in the day, Fogerty was the creative powerhouse behind Creedence Clearwater Revival (as lead songwriter, vocalist and guitarist!) Between 1969-1971 they topped the charts with 14 back-to-back top ten singles. Come ready to dance in the aisles to hits like “Born on the Bayou”, “Proud Mary”, “Susie Q”, “Bad Moon Rising” “Down on the Corner” and “Around the Bend”. Heavily influenced by early rock and blues icons, Fogerty’s style made a name for Creedence, earning them a reputation as the mavericks of swamp rock. The sound of freedom in the 70s– Fogerty’s legacy lives on as he continues to crank out guitar licks and melodies that perfectly straddle country, blues and rock-n-roll.

Amazing nonstop music from one song immediately into the next w various guitars used by John including the one he bought as a kid and lost track of it for many years only now to have it in his possession once again! His foot stomping hit after hit was phenomenal especially his jam with his son Shane! Fabulous incredible concert start to finish!

My all time favourite singer it has to be said from him and his fantastic band took the stage the place was rocking all the fans were singing to every song we kne all the words as far as I'm concerned it was the best concert I was ever at pure class magic is the word I use to describe the show.

My husband is a huge John Fogerty fan , we go see him every time he comes to Canada and got the pleasure to meet him in Las Vegas in January. This was a dream and says John is a very pleasant man to talk to. We are planning to attend John up coming concert again in Vegas in October He literally listens to his music for hours every day the biggest Fogerty fan I believe there is. Lol John you give so much pleasure to so many people. I really don’t think you know what you give to us fans. Thank you Sir

Tickets: All ages advance tickets are reserved seating for from $89.50 to $199 depending on seat location, and general admission lawn for $59.50, available Friday, April 12, 2024 at 10am   online at Cascade Ticketing .

Unless sold out, tickets will also be available at  The Cuthbert Amphitheater Box Office on the day of the show beginning at 4 p.m. when the Box Office opens.

The reserved seating, general admission lawn concert is open to  everyone of all ages.

John Fogerty is a true American treasure. As founder of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Fogerty’s career spans 50 years and he is hailed as one of the most influential musicians in rock history. As the writer, singer and producer of numerous classic hits including “Born on the Bayou”, “Green River”, “Proud Mary”, and “Bad Moon Rising”, Fogerty is a Grammy winner who has been honored as one of the 100 Greatest Guitarists, 100 Greatest Songwriters, and 100 Greatest Singers by Rolling Stone. Earning induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Songwriters Hall of Fame, and Baseball Hall of Fame, he is also a New York Times best-selling author for his memoir, Fortunate Son: My Life, My Music. In January 2023 he regained control over his works, acquiring majority interest of his worldwide publishing rights from Concord. John Fogerty Announces Extension of Celebration Tour in 2024

Creedence Clearwater Revival’s John Fogerty has been planning this year’s Celebration Tour for quite some time, and it looks like the tour is getting an additional extension before it even starts. The original tour dates spanned June and July, and now the next leg of the tour has been slated for August and September of this year. The new dates will span much of the US, including Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan, Washington, Colorado, and more. The upcoming 2024 tour will feature supporting acts George Thorogood And The Destroyers, Hearty Har, and a to-be-announced surprise guest.

The extended John Fogerty Celebration Tour will launch on June 2 in Simpsonville, South Carolina at CCNB Amphitheatre at Heritage Park. The tour will end on September 11 in Salt Lake City, Utah at Utah State Fair. All of the newly announced tour dates will take place in August and September.

Fans can get their tickets through Fogerty’s website . A few different presale events are happening over at Ticketmaster right now as well, and they vary from venue presales to Ticketmaster presales to VIP package presales.

Tickets will go on sale to the public on April 12 at 10:00 am local through Fogerty’s website and Ticketmaster. Stubhub will also likely have a ton of tickets available, and they’re a great resource for finding tickets to sold-out tour dates.

George Thorogood & The Destroyers will mark their 50th anniversary by joining the North American leg of John Fogerty's Celebration tour

John Fogerty has announced the North American leg of his Celebration tour. The Creedence Clearwater Revival man has 13 shows lined up in June, beginning on June 2 at the CCNB Amphitheatre at Heritage Park in Simpsonville, SC, and finishing at the Tanglewood in Lenox, MA, on June 20. Support at all dates will come from George Thorogood & The Destroyers.  

“George and I have done shows together before but for years we’ve talked about doing a full tour together." says Fogerty. "This summer we decided time is short, we better do this now!”

"We are excited and honoured to announce we are joining our friend, the legendary John Fogerty on his Celebration Tour this summer!", says Thorogood. "Celebrating the music of John Fogerty at the same time we celebrate our 50th Anniversary is just about as good as it can get. I’m looking forward to being out there with my friend, John!"

Fogerty has also confirmed two American dates later in the year without Thorogood, at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO on August 26, and on September 11 at the Utah State Fair in Salt Lake City. Full dates below. 

Fogerty's plans to take the Celebration tour to Australia were thwarted late last month, when organisers of Country Fest Queensland announced that he'd no longer be playing at the event , little more than a month after confirming him as headliner.

"Due to unforeseen circumstances, John Fogerty will no longer be attending our Country Fest QLD Lineup 2024 Event,” said organisers in a statement. “We are working hard on a revised line up and will have more information coming soon."

Fogerty responded with a statement of his own, expressing apparent confusion at the unexpected turn of events.

John Fogerty Extends ‘Celebration Tour’ With New Dates Ft. George Thorogood & The Destroyers

John Fogerty will keep his  Celebration Tour going with a newly announced stretch of summer concerts featuring  Geroge Thorogood & The Destroyers and his sons’ band  Hearty Har .

The former  Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman will kick off the new tour dates on June 2nd in Simpsonville, SC. Fogerty, Thorogood, and Hearty Har will cruise the East Coast throughout June, stopping in Charleston, SC (6/4), Raleigh (6/5), Camden, NJ (6/7), Scranton, PA (6/8), Bristow, VA (6/9), Canandaigua, NY (6/11), Saratoga Springs, NY (6/12), Bethel, NY where CCR played Woodstock (6/14), Holmdel, NJ (6/15), Uncasville, CT (6/16), Gilford, NH (6/19), and finally Lenox, MA (6/20). Then in July, Fogerty will head overseas (sans Thorogood) for a run of festival appearances before returning stateside for shows at  Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO (8/26) and the  Utah State Fair in Salt Lake City (9/11). Fogerty will be backed at these performances by Hearty Har, which features his sons Shane and Tyler who will also open the shows.

This tour announcement comes after Fogerty finally acquired the rights to CCR’s songs early last year, ending a nearly 60-year legal battle. Fogerty’s fight dates back to 1967 when film producer and record company executive  Saul Zaentz purchased  Fantasy Records , which Creedence signed to back in 1964 when they were still known as  The Blue Velvets . Fogerty for years attempted to extricate himself and the CCR entity from Fantasy even long after the band had broken up. In 1980, he sold his rights to Zaentz to get out of the deal, with the exec even unsuccessfully suing Fogerty in 1985 for self-plagiarism, claiming that John’s solo song “The Old Man Down the Road” was a ripoff of CCR’s “Run Through The Jungle”. For a quarter century, Fogerty didn’t receive any royalties for his large catalog of Creedence hits like “Fortunate Son”, “Have You Ever Seen The Rain”, “Bad Moon Rising”, and “Proud Mary” and refused to play them live.

That decades-long fight finally ended in early 2023 when Fogerty purchased a majority interest in Creedence’s catalog from  Concord Records for an undisclosed sum. Concord bought Fantasy in 2004 and reinstated and increased Fogerty’s royalties, which he hadn’t received since his 1980 deal with Zaentz. The company still owns the band’s master recordings but will continue to pay his publishing royalties. Under U.S. copyright law, the rights to the songs will begin reverting back to Fogerty 56 years after they were published.

“The happiest way to look at it is, yeah, it isn’t everything,” he told  Billboard . “It’s not a 100% win for me, but it’s sure better than it was. I’m really kind of still in shock. I haven’t allowed my brain to really, actually, start feeling it yet.”

John Fogerty Kicks Off Tour With George Thorogood: Set Lists

John Fogerty kicked off his tour with George Thorogood with a concert in Simpsonvile, South Carolina on Sunday, June 2.

Though the rock legends have performed on the same stage at various events over the years, this summer trek, dubbed the Celebration Tour , marks the first time they’ve hit the road together.

"George and I have done shows together before, but for years we’ve talked about doing a full tour together," Fogerty explained when the tour was announced. "This summer we decided time is short, we better do this now."

The rockers didn’t waste time, each delving into various hits from throughout their respective careers. Fogerty’s headlining performance delivered such Creedence Clearwater Revival  classics as "Bad Moon Rising," "Born on the Bayou," "Who'll Stop the Rain" and "Fortunate Son."

Other highlights in Fogerty's set included his beloved solo hit "Centerfield," and a couple of rarer tunes: "Mystic Highway" and "Change in the Weather," the latter of which he hadn't performed in concert since 2009.

Earlier in the evening, Thorogood ignited the crowd with a selection of his own hits – including “Get a Haircut” and “Bad to the Bone” – along with a select mix of covers, such as the Sonics' "Shot Down" and the Strangeloves' "Night Time."

How Long Are John Fogerty and George Thorogood Touring Together?

The Celebration tour will take Fogerty and Thorogood across America, with dates continuing until mid-July. The rockers will then head overseas for a run of European concerts, before returning to the U.S.A. in August. From there, they’ll hit the ground running once more for a second American leg that lasts until September.

The tour also marks a milestone for Thorogood, his 50th anniversary with his band, the Destroyers. The singer previously expressed his excitement to acknowledge the achievement alongside Fogerty. "Celebrating the music of John Fogerty at the same time we celebrate our 50th Anniversary is just about as good as it can get," Thorogood remarked.

Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman John Fogerty is heading out on the road for a six-show run from April 27 through June 30.

That includes a huge concert at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall on April 28.

The 77-year-old will also headline Redondo Beach, CA’s BeachLife Festival from May 5-7 alongside The Black Keys, Gwen Stefani, Pixies, Modest Mouse and Sublime with Rome amongst many others.

Not bad for a rock star who performed at Woodstock.

John Fogerty new music

Just this year, Fogerty released a jazzy live version of “Joy Of My Life.”

The love song, which originally appeared on Fogerty’s 1997 solo album “Blue Moon Swamp” shows that Fogerty still has his signature pipes intact.

Plus, the extended sax solos don’t hurt either.

John Fogerty on Creedence Clearwater Revival's disappointing Woodstock set

The 1969 Woodstock festival has long been one of popular music's defining cultural moments. 

The image and sound of Jimi Hendrix wrangling almost apocalyptic squalls out of his white Strat into something vaguely resembling the Star-Spangled Banner, Alvin Lee's mind-boggling I'm Going Home guitar solo ... its most famous highlights surely need no introduction to this publication's readers.

Often lost in the collective memory of the festival, though, is the fact that one of its headline acts was Creedence Clearwater Revival, then on an incredible run of commercial success.  

Though frontman John Fogerty was initially wowed by the sheer scale of the festival – “Woodstock was, God, this thing is huge! Riding in on a little World War II–era helicopter, coming up over a hill and suddenly seeing that crowd for the first time. That took my breath away,” he recalled to GP in a recent interview – that excitement quickly turned to disappointment. 

Creedence were scheduled to go on after the Grateful Dead, who, unsurprisingly, took liberties with their allotted stage time, leaving Creedence to take the stage at 12:30 in the morning on Sunday, August 17.

“I had hoped to have my band do a spectacular set in front of this enormous crowd, because Creedence was clearly on a rocket ship going almost straight up,” Fogerty explained to GP . “I daresay we were probably the most consistently hot thing in music that summer.

“But even though we played well, the audience was very much asleep, and I was very disappointed.”

Though progressive (see Fortunate Son ), Creedence – averse to long-winded jams and the flower-power vibes of many of the festival's acts – stuck out musically at Woodstock, and not in a way that the band had hoped. 

Stung by the band's cool reception at the festival, Fogerty wouldn't allow footage or recordings of his band's set to be included in the Woodstock film or live album, further erasing Creedence's presence from remembrances of the festival – not that that bothers Fogerty that much nowadays. 

“We came home, and after a couple of days I realized, ‘What the heck, that’s just one disappointment; Creedence is still moving forward,’” Fogerty recounted to GP. “So, I didn’t worry about it too much.”
