Green Day Announce 2024 Tour: See Dates and Ticket Info

Green Day announced their latest stadium tour on Thursday, November 2. The summer 2024 run will take the pop punk trio across North America in support of their fourteenth album Saviors , due in January 2024. The band is also set to celebrate the 30th anniversary of 1994’s Dookie  and the 20th anniversary of 2004’s  American Idiot.

Tickets for The Saviors Tour will be available via presale on Thursday, November 9 at 10:00 a.m. local time, and general onsale beginning on Friday, November 10 at 10:00 a.m. local time. A VIP Package presale also begins on Wednesday, November 8 at 10:00 a.m. local time. Fans can also sign up for Green Day’s mailing list by Tuesday, November 7 to get early access to presale tickets. Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tré Cool will embark on their first stadium outing since The Hella Mega Tour , their 2021-22 co-headlining world tour with Fall Out Boy and Weezer. In 2023, the trio delivered headlining festival performances at Louisville, Kentucky’s Louder Than Life in September and Las Vegas’ When We Were Young in October.

Green Day’s tour kicks off in July 2024 and includes dates at New York’s Citi Field, Inglewood, California’s SoFi Stadium and a hometown show at San Francisco’s Oracle Park on September 20. The trek concludes in San Diego on September 28.

Fans will have plenty of time to get familiar with Saviors ahead of the summer tour; the album is set to be released on January 19, 2024 via Reprise. Green Day recently revealed the Saviors lead single “The American Dream Is Killing Me,” along with the album’s second single, “Look Ma, No Brains!”

The Saviors Tour will feature support from The Smashing Pumpkins , Rancid and The Linda Lindas on most dates. Check out the complete list of tour dates below.

With one month left to go on his run through Canada, Smith is coming clean about the future, however. “This is it,” Smith said Thursday, from a tour stop in Prince George. “I know it’s called This Could Be It, but this is it.”

When he planned the tour a year ago, it was meant to suggest retirement was looming for the beloved titular character of The Red Green Show, which ran on stations across Canada from 1991 until 2006. But midway through a run of U.S. dates that got underway in March, he announced an additional round of appearances in Canada, knowing the tour would be his last.

“The response from the audience in the U.S. was so great, it felt like it completed a circle — there was a finality to it,” Smith said. “I have certain instincts that I trust and one of them is knowing when to leave the party. I’m not going to be able to top this. I knew if I did another tour, it would be a diminished version of this one.”

Smith, who turns 74 on Christmas Eve, has made a living in the entertainment business for 48 years, the highlight of which has been tours under the Red Green moniker, he said.

After an award-winning run on CBC Television in Canada and PBS Television in the U.S., The Red Green Show aired its 300th and final episode in 2006.

In the years since, he has kept the character alive through various channels, and is still working on new projects as Red Green, including a possible podcast. But touring won’t be on the table, Smith said.

“That will be the toughest thing to give up. These days, you can see anything on your phone. But live performance, you’re either in the room or you’re not.”

The Red Green Show offered a homespun take on sketch comedy by parodying do-it-yourself outdoor-adventure programs, from a fictional Ontario town.

Originally produced for a TV station in Hamilton, Ont., The Red Green Show was an immediate hit, which led to a new broadcast deal with YTV in 1993. It was moved to Global in 1994 before finding a permanent home on CBC in 1997. It has remained in syndication ever since.

Smith tried sending Red Green into retirement once the show wrapped, “but it did not go well,” he said with a laugh. Smith grew tired of playing golf as a full-time pursuit, so he developed a version of the TV show for the stage, with standup sets in character presented as “lodge meetings.” The live shows still draw incredibly well — 21 of his 35 shows on the U.S. leg of This Could Be It were sold out — which makes it tough for Smith to walk away.

“Red Green is a great platform if I want to express myself, and I do need to express myself. I’m not saying Red Green is dead. But touring as Red Green, that’s over.”

The undercurrent of his final tour is gratitude, according to Smith. He’s bringing video messages from popular characters from the show to the stage, which will be shown between handyman tips — usually involving duct tape — and marriage advice.

He ends the show on a heartfelt note each night, which he believes is important for those who have supported him. It’s a fitting coda: Smith never went for the jugular as Red Green, occasionally breaking the fourth wall during the TV show in order to let audiences known they were in on the joke, too.

When he walks off stage for the final time as Red Green, following his Oct. 30 performance at the Georgian Theatre in Barrie, Ont., Smith said it will be with his head held high. “It’s not sad for me. It’s not me getting out of a bad contract, or I’m bankrupt and I need to do this. I’ve really enjoyed this, and I want to go out while it’s still fun. It’s a happy time.”

Rock-pop group Hanson is set to hit the road this summer. The trio has announced North American and European dates for their Red Green Blue World Tour in 2022.

The 79-date trek kicks off on June 8 in Helsinki, Finland, making stops in Stockholm, Milan, Amsterdam, and London. The North American leg of the tour will follow on July 12 in Houston, making its way through Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Boston, and New York, before heading to Latin America in September.

In addition, the brothers will be celebrating their 30th anniversary of performing together and will release a new album comprised of the band’s three solo-led projects.  RED GREEN BLUE (Taylor’s Red, Isaac’s Green, and Zac’s Blue) will be released via 3CG Records on May 20.

“Going into our 30th year as a band we felt like it was imperative we continue to tell our story like only we can, and telling stories in ways that will continue to challenge us to grow and give people new reasons to listen. Red Green Blue is about sharing what has made us a band that has been able to weather so many storms,” said Isaac Hanson.

The grammy nominated rock band, RED ,  announced that they will be coming to a city near you this fall on  THE EMERGENCY Tour.  The tour is in support of their most recent album,  Rated R,  which was released in September of last year. The album made quite the debut on Billboard’s Christian chart, reaching #10. It features the hit songs “Your Devil Is a Ghost”, “Cold War” and “Surrogates”. The Red Green Show Announces 'This Could Be It' Tour for 2019, Joins Heartland's Programming Lineup

Steve Smith, better known as Red Green, from the beloved Gemini Award-winning comedy series The Red Green Show, will be taking the show to the road in 2019 for his "This Could Be It" tour. The name says it all: Potentially Red Green's last tour as he heads out on the road to hold 'Lodge Meetings' all over North America. This might be your last opportunity to catch Red live before he takes a long look at his birth certificate and decides not to keep pushing his luck. This latest one man show features some brand new handyman projects, advice to married guys and teenage boys, tips on getting old, an apology to the world on behalf of all baby boomers, with special contributions from Harold and a couple of other cast members, talking animals, and a final wish from Red to all of his loyal fans. Red Green's U.S. portion of his North American tour schedule is set to go on sale on Thursday, September 6, with more dates to be added. The Fall of 2019 Canadian tour destinations will include Regina, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Peterborough, Ottawa, Kitchener, London, Red Deer, Victoria, Nanaimo, plus more to be added, with tickets going on sale November 1.
