Yungblud has announced he will hit the road next year for his first UK arena tour, marking his biggest shows to date.

After selling out London’s Alexandra Palace last year, the Doncaster star will tackle another of the capital’s iconic venues in the form of Wembley Arena on February 25.

Supported by Neck Deep, the tour will kick off at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena on February 16, before winding its way to arenas across the country ahead of a string of European dates.

Yungblud will also release his forthcoming self-titled studio LP on 2 September via Locomotion/Geffen Records. The album will include previously-released tracks ‘The Funeral’, ‘Don’t Feel Like Feeling Sad Today’, and ‘Memories’, which features  Willow . The singer unveiled ‘The Funeral’ in March alongside a music video featuring Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne.

YUNGBLUD THE WORLD TOUR! if u wouldve told me years ago that we’ll be playin arenas across the world i wouldve laughed at ya. but here we are! we’re gonna put on the best n biggest rock n roll show in the world! presales on TUESDAY. general sale THURSDAY🖤 https://t.co/gjhFIIq6bx pic.twitter.com/Rr2o9dleGv — YUNGBLUD is a lowlife (@yungblud) August 19, 2022

The singer, real name Dominic Harrison, previously hailed the record as the “most personal”  of his career to date.

Speaking of the LP, Harrison explained: “I went to a part of myself that I didn’t know was there. I studied it, I bathed in the emotion, tried to solve the equation and come up with an answer (at least for now) from love to pain, adoration to abandonment, laughter to betrayal.”

Announcing the record, he previously said: “Everything up to this moment has been a complete explosion of uncensored expression, where I just told the truth and sang about what I felt in that exact moment,” Yungblud explained on Instagram. “The difference here is that i have thought and felt this record so deeply. i went to a part of myself that I didn’t know was there. i studied it, i bathed in the emotion, tried to solve the equation and come up with an answer (at least for now) from love to pain, adoration to abandonment, laughter to betrayal.”

He continued: “My message is the same, it will always be; i will continue to be nothing but myself and encourage others to do the same. there is simply no other option. i hope it provides my beautiful family who have followed me throughout this journey answers about themselves but also questions and challenges, but most importantly I hope it fills them with love.”

Speaking about the new album, he said: “I've called my new album What Ifs & Maybes. It's about going with your gut, not your head, because you never know what's going to happen. I'm not afraid to jump into the unknown - because it's exciting!

"It's about rolling the dice and living your best life with nothing to lose. I'm in a new creative space, and I know I'm finally the artist I want to be. I'm so buzzing for these shows, my biggest gigs to date. I can't wait to get out and play these new songs to everyone. Let's go!"

The tour will kick off in Birmingham in March next before stopping off in Cardiff, Leeds, Newcastle, Glasgow, Nottingham, Manchester, Brighton, Plymouth and finishing up in London on 23rd March.

Fans will be able to get first access to tickets by pre-ordering Tom’s new album from his online store and those are currently on sale until Tuesday 4th October at 3pm. General ticket sales will start on 7th October at 9am via Metropolismusic.com.

The singer will be joining the Chris Evans Breakfast Show with Sky on Friday (30th September) to play us some live music, so make sure you listen in!

It has been quite the year for Grennan who has been nominated for a BRIT and Ivor Novello Award and had four UK Top 10 singles.

He has also been touring the festivals this summer performing to a 30,000-capacity crowd at Godiva Festival earlier this month. He also joined the Isle Of Wight’s main stage as well as Kendall Calling, Baordmasters and TRNSMT.

Yungblud is set to release his self-titled third album on September 2 via Locomotion/Geffen. The singer has already shared a number of singles from the album, including The Emperor , Don't Feel Like Feeling Sad Today , the Willow-assisted Memories , and The Funeral , the video for which featured Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne. Talking about his relationship with Ozzy earlier this year, Yungblud told NME , “People think [Ozzy] is kind of… gone, but he’s not. He’s so intelligent and so fucking beautiful. People are scared of him until they hear him speak. He said that he saw a lot of himself in me."

Posting about his forthcoming album on Instagram earlier this year, the singer wrote: "Everything up to this moment has been a complete explosion of uncensored expression, where I just told the truth and sang about what I felt in that exact moment. The difference here is that I have thought and felt this record so deeply. I went to a part of myself that I didn’t know was there. I studied it, I bathed in the emotion, tried to solve the equation and come up with an answer (at least for now) from love to pain, adoration to abandonment, laughter to betrayal."

"My message is the same, it will always be," he continued. "I will continue to be nothing but myself and encourage others to do the same. There is simply no other option. I hope it provides my beautiful family who have followed me throughout this journey answers about themselves but also questions and challenges, but most importantly I hope it fills them with love. You have provided me with an antidote for the emptiness and loneliness I’ve felt in the past. You have given me a voice. So here is my story."

The group, from South Yorkshire, is made up of Jonny Yerrell, Lee Holland, Joe O’Brien and Jamie Todd. Last year, they announced that they would be playing a huge homecoming show at the Utilita Arena in Sheffield on September 30.

Now, the band have added dates across the country, with the tour kicking off at Liverpool’s Olympia on September 23, before heading to cities including Newcastle, Glasgow, Bristol and Cardiff. They finish up at the Bonus Arena, Hull on November 3. Tickets will be available from 10am on Friday, March 31 here .

Earlier this year, the band landed their first Number One album with ‘What’s Rock And Roll?’ , their third, independently released album.

Previously, the band had Top 40 success with 2021 releases ‘May Seriously Harm You And Others Around’, which reached Number 27, and ‘Kids Off The Estate’, which peaked at Number 11.

Ahead of the announcement, the band spoke to NME  about being on the cusp of a UK Number One album as an independent band. According to the group, their success is built solely on the support of “fans, friends, family and community”.

“The mood just changed when the midweeks dropped and said we were Number One,” Yerrell told  NME  ahead of the chart figures being released. “Everyone’s going, ‘We’re gonna do it! We’re gonna do it!’ It’s just been crazy, honestly. I never knew what to expect but now that I’m in the moment of it happening, it’s just surreal.”

British dance music legends Faithless are heading back out on a huge UK/EU tour later this year and are set to return to Manchester for the first time since the death of frontman Maxi Jazz.

One of the most iconic and influential electronic bands to have ever come out of the UK, the industry veterans had been off the road for a whole eight years until their first shows back on the circuit back this past June and even joined the lineup for Bestival 2024 earlier this month.

Following the huge success of the comeback gigs in the likes of London, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Amsterdam, Faithless have now confirmed a huge new 21-date tour which will see them returning to the likes of Manchester, Newcastle and more for the first time in nearly a decade.

News like this can only mean one thing: God really is a DJ.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Faithless (@faithlessofficial)

Although bandmates Sister Bliss and Rollo Armstrong had performed sets of their own since the lead singer’s sudden death back in December 2022, it wasn’t until this year that decided to get together as a group once again.

Revealing their return in April, the clamour for tickets to their initially limited number of tour dates was massive, especially with the news that they are also working on new music, but it now seems that the demand for more live sets was so much that they had to go back on the road properly.

Jazz is said to have died peacefully in his sleep , but with his passing coming at the age of just 65 it was no less tragic and shocking for the band and the countless fans all over the world.

The performances earlier this year also landed right around his birthday and without them going down like the storm they did, this new Champion Sound – the name given to their forthcoming eighth studio album – this tour may not been confirmed to be happening so soon.

Leeds Festival 2024 says it has 'lost' two stages amidst Storm Lilian weather

Two stages at Leeds Festival 2024 will be shut down after the site was battered by strong winds during Storm Lilian.

The huge festival, which officially kicks off today, said that although there is ‘an end in sight’ to the high winds that have been flattening tents and causing travel disruption, the damage has already been done to the festival site.

Leeds Festival has said that it won’t be opening the arena at 11am as planned, but aims to have fans dancing in the fields as soon as possible, The Hoot Leeds reports .

They also confirmed that two major stages – the BBC Radio 1 stage and the Aux stage – have been ‘lost’.

There’ll be no performances on either stage on Friday, the first full day of the massive music festival.

In their statement, Leeds Festival said: “We can see an end in sight to the high winds. We definitely won’t be opening the arena at 11am, but we are targeting as soon as possible after that and we will update you further.

“However, we have definitely lost the BBC Radio 1 stage today, and there will be no performances on it.

“We have also lost the Aux stage today, and there will be no performances on it.

“We remain hopeful that everything else will continue as planned and that we will still have an amazing weekend. Please await further information.”

This year’s line-up includes headline performances from Fred Again, Liam Gallagher, Blink-182, Lana Del Rey and Catfish and the Bottlemen.

The Met Office has now issued a statement to those at Leeds Festival, including a word of advice about tents.

Warning campers at  Leeds Festival 2024, Mr Dewhurst added: “The wind will pick up in that area through the night, particularly strongest towards dawn and then first thing in the morning, before then easing through the morning.

“So there could be potentially some impacts from those strong winds, of 50 to 60mph in the area so it’s worth making sure your tents are secured. There could also be disruption first thing to the transport networks for those travelling first thing.”

Hollywood Vampires have confirmed UK shows for summer 2023.

The supergroup—Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry, actor and musician Johnny Depp, and shock-rock icon Alice Cooper, with guitarist Tommy Henriksen—will kick off the tour at Scarborough Open Air Theatre on July 5. They've also scheduled arena gigs in Swansea, Manchester, Birmingham Glasgow and London, where they'll play The O2.

Seether are set to provide support, joined by San Francisco band The Tubes on all dates except Scarborough. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on October 28. Vocalist Cooper, 74, commented:

"Well, it’s already been three years since the Vampires have toured because of Covid. Also, Johnny has his movies, Joe’s in Aerosmith and I’m in Alice Cooper, so we have to look at that whole thing and see when we can all get a month or two off where we can go out and tour. And, we are going to be doing that, next summer coming up, 2023. I can't wait to get back with the guys, I really love being in that band. My band is great and wonderful, but playing with the Vampires is an entirely different situation. I don’t necessarily do any theatrics at all, I’m just the lead singer, in a band, and the band just happens to be one of the best bands around! It’ll be great to see Johnny and Joe and Buck and Chris and all the guys. We’ll be rocking these places, especially the UK, I can’t wait to get to the UK! Lock your doors, put garlic all around, because the Vampires are coming!"

Perry added: "Next Summer it will be finally time for the Hollywood Vampires to rise again! We can't wait to play the songs from our latest album, Rise, for all our fans across the pond. The excitement builds as we countdown the days! See you all then...remember, leave the garlic at home!"

The band already have a run of shows lined up for mainland Europe in June. They've released two studio albums to date, their self-titled debut in 2015 and 2019 follow-up 'Rise'.

The country favourite has lined up huge shows at arenas in Glasgow, Manchester and London next year

Country music artist Luke Combs has confirmed dates for his 2023 UK tour. Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday 16 September.

The 'When It Rains It Pours' singer will kick off the trek at Glasgow's OVO Hydro on Monday 16 October 2023 before heading to the AO Arena in Manchester the following evening. On Thursday 19 October he'll hit London's O2 where he'll play two consecutive nights.

The stint comes in support of the 32-year-old's latest album Growin' Up which he released earlier this year. It follows his 2020 record What You See Ain't Always What You Get and features the hit singles 'The Love Kind Of Love We Make' and 'Doin' This'.

Growin' Up is the fifth record to come from Combs, five years after the release of his 2017 debut This One's For You which won the Billboard Music Award's Top Country Album of the year. Last year he also received the Nashville Songwriter Awards for Songwriter-Artist of the Year.

Luke Combs 2023 UK tour dates: Monday 16 October – OVO Hydro, Glasgow Tuesday 17 October – AO Arena, Manchester Thursday 19 October – The O2, London Friday 20 October – The O2, London

Tickets for Luke Combs go on sale at 9am on Friday 16 September.

Six Reasons Why Going To Gigs Alone Is The Best

So you want to go see that metalcore band you love but none of your friends like that “shouty” music? Or you REALLY want to go check out that new artist on TikTok you discovered but all your mates won’t go to a gig where they only know one song? Or worse, your group of friends cannot get themselves organized and work out which show and when to go on a tour, so you’re worried you’ll miss out on tickets. Let them be miserable and start living your best life by going to concerts by yourself. Trust us, it’ll be the best thing you’ll ever do!

Going to gigs alone can be daunting. What am I going to do with myself in between sets? Are people going to think I’m weird? Why would I not want to share the experience?

Listen, we are all for sharing the experience, but sometimes it’s either missing out or going alone, and in those cases we definitely recommend going alone. Here’s a few reasons why you’ll never regret it once you build up the courage to go through with it.

1 . See artists you really REALLY want to see

Imagine the FOMO of missing your favourite band on their new tour, hearing all those new songs live, seeing everyone post about it. Don’t let that happen, and get that ticket. Plus you then get to tell the pals who didn’t want to come how you saw that band or artist before they blew up or how they played that one B-side track that everyone loves – now who has FOMO?

2. Meet new friends

It’s no secret that music brings people together. That moment when everyone’s favourite ballad hits and there’s not a dry eye in the building, you turn to your left or right and suddenly you bond with a stranger over your favourite song. For the metalheads, we also recommend mosh pits, follow the rules of the pit but what a way to make new friends!

3. The freedom

Now hear us out – but going to a gig alone means you can get to the venue when you want, you can go to the loos when you want, you can stand in line at the merch for hours and no one will ask if you’re sure you want to wait. And no one will drag you home when you want to wait after the show has finished and find every piece of confetti or ask for the setlist.

4 . It’s a cult

You are not alone in going to gigs by yourself, you’d probably be surprised by how many people do the same thing. Some fan groups even have entire sub cultures of going to gigs alone (shoutout to Frank Turner’s solo armada, we see you!) – bringing us back to reason #2, new friends.

5. Confidence boost

Going to a gig by yourself will do wonders for your confidence. Sure the first time might feel a bit awkward and weird, but isn’t it always? Remember your first day of school? And then it was kind of okay after a while (let’s ignore our teenage years…) Once you’ve done it and experience all of the divinity of a solo gig you’ll feel free as a bird.

6. Experience the music your way

Whether you love hanging out by the bar, need to be front row, prefer seats or want to leave a bit earlier to catch the last train – the world is your oyster! The experience is yours, you don’t need to coordinate with someone else, rely on them to enjoy the show as much as you are and have as much of a good time as you are. And frankly, if you took a chance on a new genre or new artist and it isn’t your vibe, you can just go home. Glorious.

So there you have it – doesn’t sound too bad now does it?! At the end of the day it all comes down to you and your artist, a concert will always be a shared experience whether with strangers or friends. The most important thing to do is have fun.

Death Cab For Cutie & Postal Service at All Points East 2024: set times, schedule and lineup

Ben Gibbard’s two legendary indie bands will be performing ‘Transatlanticism’ and ‘Give Up’ in full to close out All Points East 204

Ed Cunningham

Can you believe it’s been over 20 years since the release of Death Cab For Cutie’s Transatlanticism and the Postal Service’s Get Up ? Us neither. Ben Gibbard’s two indie noughties classics came out back in 2003 – and now, just over two decades later, he’s celebrating both records by playing them in their entirety in a headline show at All Points East .

The Victoria Park fest’s 2024 edition has already seen stacked lineups headed up by Kaytranada , Loyle Carner , Mitski and LCD Soundsystem . Death Cab For Cutie and the Postal Service headline the final day of this year’s festival – and it’s set to be a mighty day for indie throwbacks. Also playing on Sunday (August 25) are the likes of Yo La Tengo, Phoenix, Sleater-Kinney, Teenage Fanclub and Gossip.

Off to APE this Bank Holiday Sunday? Here’s all the essential information you need to know, from the full schedule and stage splits to the weather forecast.

Once you’re in the gates at APE 2024, there are other ways to upgrade your experience. If you’re an Uber One member, for instance, you’ll be able to ride free electric buggies between the East Stage and West Stage, thereby saving a bit of travel time between sets.

While Friday’s APE and Saturday’s Field Day are looking like they’ll have pretty patchy weather, that isn’t the case for Sunday. The day is currently predicted to enjoy no rain and quite a bit of sunshine, with temps between 15C and 20C. As with the entire bank holiday weekend, it’ll likely be quite windy.

Paramore storms the charts with their biggest albums—with some help from taylor swift.

LONDON, ENGLAND - AUGUST 15: EDITORIAL USE ONLY. NO BOOK COVERS. Hayley Williams of Paramore ... [+] performs onstage during "Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour" at Wembley Stadium on August 15, 2024 in London, England. (Photo by Gareth Cattermole/TAS24/Getty Images for TAS Rights Management)

Opening for Taylor Swift on her The Eras Tour has proved to be a major career booster for many rising acts. The singer chose several singers and groups who are working their way toward stardom to warm up the crowds for her on various dates of her historic trek. Paramore also opened for the Grammy winner, though they can’t really be counted as newcomers. They are enjoying the spoils of the coveted slot, though.

Paramore fills three spaces on this week’s Official Rock & Metal Albums chart, the U.K.’s ranking of the bestselling full-lengths and EPs in the country that can be classified as rock or metal when it comes to genre. The group’s surge on the ranking can be attributed to their opening slot on Swift’s The Eras Tour, which included five dates in London, starting on August 15.

Two of Paramore’s most popular releases find their way back to the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart this week. They join another one of the band’s most successful projects, which was already present on the tally ahead of their stretch of London performances, and which is still selling.

The band’s Brand New Eyes launches highest on the ranking this week. That studio effort reappears on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart at No. 10.

At the same time, the group’s self-titled effort is back as well. Paramore —the set—blasts back onto the Official Rock & Metal Albums tally at No. 30. Both of those comebacks have already topped the list in the past.

The Official Rock & Metal Albums chart also features one holdover from Paramore. The alternative outfit’s Riot slips slightly, even as their more recent efforts are surging in popularity. Riot , which introduced the band to the public in a major way more than 15 years ago, slides backward from No. 26 to No. 31.

Paramore was the only consistent opening act during all five of the London dates. They were joined by fellow musicians Raye, Holly Humberstone, Sofia Isella, Suki Waterhouse, and Maisie Peters, who have not yet reached the same level of commercial success or global fame as Paramore, and certainly not like Swift.

Noah Kahan at the O2 Arena

Stick Season, Northern Attitude, Dial Drunk

Wednesday evening overlooking the Thames, Noah Kahan kicked off night one of his two-night residency at London’s O2 Arena, marking a monumental occasion as his largest show in the city to date.

Appearing on stage in a full sprint, the evening started off strong as he played Dial Drunk to a roaring crowd of fans. The sound of the entirety of the arena echoing with the lyrics, “Honey, it rang and rang / Even the cops thought you were wrong for hangin’ up / I dial drunk, I’ll die a drunk, I’ll die for you,” was surreal for both the audience, and surely Kahan.

Between his famed quirky anecdotes between songs, he invited a fan to join him in playing guitar during the song Maine , a genuinely touching moment. Kahan’s unpredictable presence led to some other amazing fan-artist interactions. For example, before playing one of his most popular songs Your Needs My Needs , Kahan explained it was written about taking his antidepressants, joking about healthcare in the UK versus the US. A fan then held up their empty box of Zoloft, which Kahan proceeded to sign, giving the crowd a truly unique experience.

Halfway through his set, Kahan descended through the crowd to the back of the venue surrounded by his supporters where he played an unreleased song, as well as She Calls Me Back , stating he “wanted to be as close to the fans as possible”.

Returning to the main stage, Kahan finished out his pre-encore set with a chillingly beautiful performance of Northern Attitude , in which fake snow started falling over himself and all in attendance. Hearing thousands singing along to, “If I get too close / And I’m not how you hoped / Forgive my northern attitude / Oh, I was raised out in the cold,” was nothing short of ethereal.

Closing out the gig by returning kitted out in a Chelsea FC jersey, Kahan played his hit Stick Season , leaving the crowd of his first O2 show on a high. Those present got a taste of Vermont backroads and its frigid winters, and the tales of Noah Kahan’s life through the words of his melancholy indie folk tunes; it was a night neither the fans or Kahan will forget anytime soon.

WWE Fastlane 2023 LIVE: UK start time, full fight card and how to follow as John Cena makes PPV return

  • Published : 11:32, 6 Oct 2023
  • Updated : 11:32, 6 Oct 2023

John Cena will compete in his first non-WrestleMania/SummerSlam premium live event for five years at Fastlane this weekend.

'The Greatest of All Time' has only sporadically appeared in WWE since making the move to Hollywood in recent years.

The Rock and John Cena have both reunited in WWE in 2023

Cena's last in-ring exploits at a top-level live event came in a losing effort to Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39 , while he also took part in a brief cameo appearance at London's Money in the Bank this summer.

But the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike has allowed Cena to return home to WWE for his longest stint in years ahead of a blockbuster Mania 40 next year.

Fastlane, named for its original position on the 'Road to WrestleMania', has lost some significance in its new slot on the calendar.
