- Peter Sagan (Bora-Hansgrohe) after Stage 3: "Thanks to all my teammates for their work today, they put in a very strong effort to bring back the break and shut the attacks. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible to catch Soler when he went off in the last climb, so the stage win got away today. I'm feeling better and I see my form improving, even under such awful conditions as the ones we had today."

- Wilco Kelderman (Bora-Hansgrohe) following Stage 3: "To say it was a horrible day would be an understatement but it is on stages as hard as this that the team's work stands out. Ben, Jordi and Burgi did a great job in controlling the race and catching the break while at the same time I was kept safe under these treacherous conditions and slippery roads. I finished with the select reduced group and will now focus on tomorrow's queen stage."

- Marc Soler (Movistar Team) won Stage 3 and is new overall leader.

- Rolf Aldag (Bahrain Victorious) after Stage 2, won by his rider Sonny Colbrelli: "After yesterday Sonny had the legs to win but was really close, so to build on that was the goal for today. It was really great to see the combination of a fast guy like Sonny and the GC guys (Jack and Damiano). We strategically put Pernsteiner in the breakaway, so we didn’t have to work. The mental strength of Pernsteiner was incredible to come back and work in the final. It was great to see. It shows the team spirit and how everyone is willing to work for each other to succeed. Today we got the reward, and I’m happy for Sonny, who worked so hard, and I’m proud of what the guys have done."

- Peter Sagan (Bora-Hansgrohe) following his Stage 1 victory: "I'm really happy to win again in the Tour de Romandie. In 2010 I had taken the first road stage and here I am eleven years later with another victory. I have to thank my teammates for their great job today, in the last two laps they were pulling in the front and after the last climb, they held the bunch together. It feels nice after three weeks without any racing to come here and win, probably the only stage suited to me because the following ones will be very hard. Thanks as well to the whole team and its sponsors for their continuous support."

- Peter Sagan after the prologue: "Good opening time-trial in the Tour de Romandie that brought back nice memories from my first year as a professional rider. We have three national time trial champions on the squad and they have what it takes to be up there in the two stages against the clock, although it should be noted that both time trials are very demanding and contain plenty of hurdles. Fausto is back from altitude training and we are curious to see what he can do in the general classification, while Dries, Mattia and Iljo bring in a lot of experience and will be there to support our ambitions."

After the attack that Pawel Poljanski and Emanuel Buchmann put in on the slopes of the penultimate climb, Emanuel was able to successfully bridge to the leading group. At the base of the last climb, the escapees had about a one minute advantage. The first part of the climb was not too steep and didn’t lead to any significant difficulties. However, then Team Sky took over the bulk of the pace making in the main field and the advantage of the leaders dropped to 30 seconds. I think that Emanuel put in an excellent performance today."

It was a strong ride but normally I don't think I would have blown up as badly as I did in the final couple of kilometers. However, the team has been great behind me especially my coach, David Bailey, so we're motivated to try and finish this race off well."

I’ve raced only once before in Switzerland, in my debut season with the pros, but this will be my first time in the Tour de Romandie and I’m excited and eager to join again my teammates and ease back into racing as I start my second half of the season, which I hope to be an injury-free and successful one."

Première ville suburbaine de l’agglomération genevoise, Vernier est une commune pleine de contrastes. Elle accueille sur son sol aussi bien des secteurs d’habitation, que des zones industrielles et d’activités commerciales sans oublier ses espaces naturels. Au cours du XXe siècle, Vernier a connu une hausse démographique considérable avec la création de plusieurs grands ensembles locatifs. La Ville a gardé malgré tout son âme agricole, que l’on retrouve dans son village dont la rue principale est bordée d’anciennes fermes.

La diffusion TV du Tour de Romandie 2023, du mardi 25 au dimanche 30 avril, permet de regarder la course en direct et de ne rien rater de l’épreuve suisse.

Le Tour de Romandie 2023 (2.UWT) est à suivre en direct toute la semaine, du mardi 25 au dimanche 30 avril. La diffusion TV de la course suisse est assurée par La Chaîne L’Équipe et Eurosport . Ce sera l’occasion de regarder en direct la lutte pour le classement général sur un parcours varié entre contre-la-montre, étapes piégeuses et étapes de haute montagne. L’arrivée à Thyon 2000 se déroule le samedi 29 avril et c’est à suivre dès 14h00.

Le Tour de Romandie 2023 (2.UWT) bénéficie d’une retransmission en direct sur La Chaîne L’Équipe et Eurosport . Tout au long de la semaine, retrouvez les équipes de Patrick Chassé et Claire Bricogne avec l’émission d’avant et d’après-course « Ca va frotter » afin de décortiquer et d’analyser toutes les étapes. Le direct débutera à 15h30 sauf le weekend où la diffusion TV démarrera à 14h00. De son côté, Eurosport 1 met à disposition les équipes des Rois de la Pédale pour commenter en direct la course suisse.

Giro : Parcours, étapes, programme, participants et comment regarder en direct, la présentation complète du Tour d'Italie 2024

Certains des meilleurs cyclistes du monde se retrouvent sur le Giro 2024. Cette année, le Tour d'Italie se tient du 4 au 26 mai, à moins de trois mois des épreuves de cyclisme sur route des Jeux Olympiques de Paris 2024 .

Le Grand Départ de cette course de 21 étapes sera donné à Venaria Reale. 3 400,8 km et 44 650 m de dénivelé positif cumulé attendent le peloton jusqu'à l'arrivée à Rome.

Avec des ascensions mythiques, des paysages de carte postale et des contre-la-montre épiques, le Giro 2024 promet d'être riche en émotions. L'emblématique Mortirolo sera, encore une fois, l'une des attractions de la course lors de la 15 e étape.

L'édition 2023 avait vu le Slovène Primoz Roglic l'emporter devant son compatriote Tadej Pogacar , vainqueur du dernier Liège-Bastogne-Liège . Ce dernier est le grandissime favori en l'absence du tenant du titre mais aussi du Belge Wout Van Aert , blessé lors de sa chute sur À Travers la Flandres .

Le Giro 2024 est le premier Grand Tour de la saison. Il arrive après les mythiques Classiques du printemps et avant le Tour de France , les JO de Paris 2024 , et la Vuelta .

Coureurs à suivre au Giro 2024

Un grand favori se dégage pour ce Tour d'Italie 2024 : Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates). Le Slovène a brillé lors des Strade Bianche 2024 et sera presque à domicile pour son premier Giro . Les routes italiennes semblent lui plaire étant donné qu'il a aussi déjà gagné le Tour de Lombardie et Tirreno-Adriatico. En 2023, Geraint Thomas (INEOS Grenadiers) avait vu le maillot rose lui échapper lors de l'avant-dernière journée de course, au terme d'un ultime chrono. Revanchard, il pourrait être le principal concurrent de Pogacar cette année.

Chez les Français Julian Alaphilippe (Soudal Quick-Step) a retrouvé de bonnes sensations lors du Tour de Romandie et espère monter en puissance sur ce Tour d'Italie. Quant à Romain Bardet , qui avait été excellent lors de l'édition 2022, il a terminé deuxième de Liège-Bastogne-Liège et semble en pleine forme. Suffisant pour prétendre à un podium à Rome au soir du 26 mai ? Réponse après ces trois semaines de course.

Suivez en direct, ce mardi dès 15h30 sur le site et la chaîne L'Équipe, le prologue du Tour de Romandie.

Annulée la saison dernière en raison de la pandémie, la 74e édition du Tour de Romandie débute ce mardi . Cette course de six jours en Suisse, au profil montagneux, accueille un plateau de choix, avec deux anciens vainqueurs du Tour de France, Geraint Thomas (Ineos Grenadiers) et Christopher Froome (Israël Start-up Nation), et d'autres ténors du peloton qui font également figure de favoris, comme Richie Porte (Ineos Grenadiers), Michael Woods (Israel Start-up Nation), Peter Sagan (Bora-Hansgrohe) , Steven Kruijswijk (Jumbo-Visma) ou Miguel Angel Lopez (Movistar).

Au programme ce mardi, un prologue de 4,05 kilomètres, à Oron-la-ville, avec une montée dans le final. Suivez, dès 15h30, la course en direct sur le site et la chaîne L'Équipe.
