Post Malone ‘F-1 Trillion’ Tour Setlist Leans Heavy on New Music [Pictures]

Post Malone included nearly half of his new F-1 Trillion album on his opening night setlist for a tour that began Sunday night (Sept. 8) in Utah.

The "Guy for That" singer didn't bring out any of the major collaborators for this hometown show — he lives near Salt Lake City — but he certainly didn't shy away from duets. Radio singles like "I Had Some Help" and album tracks like "Wrong Ones" and "Finer Things" accentuated the 24-song performance.

• The singer has dates scheduled through October in Austin, Texas.
• F-1 Trillion debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 last month.

In total, 12 of the 27 songs from the album and its deluxe version were featured on the opening night setlist. The top of the show resembled the top of the album, with "Wrong Ones" and "Finer Things" leading off before he stepped back a few years for "Circles."

Creed is bringing their Summer of ’99 Tour , as they're billing their return from a nearly 12-year hiatus, to cities across the country.

There are no shortage of songs in their headlining set from the album they released in 1999. In the interest of full disclosure, summer had already given way to fall when “Human Clay” came out and spent two weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s album chart, although lead single “Higher” is from the Summer of ’99. It hit the streets on Aug. 31. But we're not complaining.

Creed squeezed in seven songs from “Human Clay” including all four singles — “Higher,” “What If,” “Are You Ready?” and “With Arms Wide Open,” which topped the Billboard Hot 100.

They also perform four songs from “My Own Prison,” their 1997 debut, and another four from the album that followed “Human Clay” to No. 1 on Billboard’s album chart, “Weathered.”

Kacey Musgraves has found a Deeper Well and she’s ready to share it with the world. In support of her sixth studio album, the seven-time Grammy winner is currently on the North American leg of her Deeper Well World Tour, which kicked off on September 4 in University Park, Pennsylvania.

As Gracie Abrams roamed the Greek Theatre stage Monday, the pit dwellers’ outstretched arms resembled flames licking the hem of her sheer black maxi skirt. But despite the night’s sweltering heat, she crouched down to touch the fire.

Rising, she clutched her heart, as though storing the warmth there.

The first of three hometown shows on Abrams’ Secret of Us tour, Monday’s sold-out affair saw many such intimate moments between the 25-year-old singer-songwriter and her doting fans. It’s a pattern of Abrams’ that hasn’t changed from her earliest live shows to her opening sets last summer on Taylor Swift’s Eras tour — she blows kisses , holds hands and whispers “I love you” under her breath, all with the sincerity of a close friend.

Gracie Abrams releases her sophomore album, ‘The Secret of Us,’ which she will play for three nights in September at the Greek Theatre.

“This is real to me,” Abrams told those at the show Monday. “Like, this relationship means so much, and I really mean it when I say I attempt to weave your generosity into my songs and stories.”

Whereas other artists might write off highly personal emails and unsolicited self-disclosure from their fans as inappropriate or plain annoying, for Abrams, it’s a reminder “that we’re really all going through the same s— at the end of the day.” It keeps her honest, and it keeps her writing.

Hence, even though she didn’t plan to put out new music so soon after releasing her debut album, “Good Riddance,” in 2023, she had another album on her hands before she knew it.

Released June 21, “The Secret of Us” debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 — trailing Taylor Swift’s “The Tortured Poets Department” — with 89,000 album-equivalent units, becoming Abrams’ first top 10 and highest-charting album.

When presales went live in June for the Secret of Us tour, the originally scheduled solo L.A. date, Sept. 11, sold out within an hour, so Abrams booked a second slot on Sept. 12 — and later, a third that became L.A.’s opening night. Olivia Rodrigo, “Twisters” star Daisy Edgar-Jones and “Bridgerton” alum Phoebe Dynevor were among the attendees.

Clocking in at just under two hours, the show began with album opener “Felt Good About You,” a folksy number whose jaunty tambourine gives it the feel of a tune from an indie film soundtrack. Even though Abrams performed the song behind a semi-transparent partition, her stage presence was palpable as her silhouette swayed with the rhythm.

Moving to center stage, Abrams threw on an acoustic guitar with a star-patterned strap for “Risk,” the lead single from “The Secret of Us.” She was delighted as fans shouted lyrics back to her, and even during the scathing “Blowing Smoke,” she couldn’t stifle her smiles.

Later, she yielded completely to dueting with audience members, offering them her mic for lyrical punchlines from “21,” “I Love You, I’m Sorry” and “Mess It Up.” All the while, she flexed her vocal control, much-improved since her last headlining tour. Swapping out the shorter, lower notes from such poignant tracks as “Where Do We Go Now?” and “Gave You I, Gave You I” for longer, higher ones, she drew gasps from even the least expressive concertgoers. (A security guard was filming at one point.)

For Monday’s “surprise song,” a relic from her time studying under Swift , Abrams brought onstage her best friend, roommate and “The Secret of Us” co-writer Audrey Hobert. After some mutual gushing, the two did a duet of the unreleased “That’s So True,” exchanging dramatized expressions as they sang, “Smiling through it all, yeah that’s my life.” Combining juvenile lyrics with adult themes, the song manifests Abrams’ simultaneous preoccupation with teenage girlhood and position beyond it — something else she shares with Swift.

After a stripped down “Good Luck Charlie” came a series of songs whose live production elements, on top of exemplifying Abrams’ growing sense of playfulness as a performer, vastly improved upon their studio versions. “Friend,” a soft pop B-side from Abrams’ debut EP “minor,” for one, benefited from added distorted synth. And “Normal Thing,” a grower from Abrams’ latest album, was transformed with a heart-rending drum build.

Conversely, the live versions of “Feels Like” and “Free Now” — the set closer — left their admirers wanting, with the former’s speeded-up rendition especially being critiqued online . Still, any discontentment was quickly assuaged by a knockout encore.

After taking the stage again to deliver a dynamic performance of “Us,” complete with Swift’s vocals on a backing track, Abrams officially closed L.A. Night 1 with the song fans begged her for seven years to release.

“Close to You,” a synth-pop “earworm” — as Abrams calls it — about feverishly yearning for someone, was her best-performing single upon release, getting more than 3 million streams in its first day on Spotify and going on to hit No. 49 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 — her first solo entry on the chart.

“OK, ready?” Abrams grinned teasingly at the crowd as the track faded in. The moment the pre-chorus hit, half the stadium was in the air.

As the song went on, and teenage girls in hair ribbons and lace skirts were projected onscreen, Abrams’ plea for closeness seemed directed more toward them than an unrequited crush.

Are you ready for it? Taylor Swift ‘s Eras Tour is finally here.

The 52-date trek kicks off Friday night in Glendale, Ariz., at State Farm Stadium with openers Gayle and Paramore. This marks Swift’s first tour since the Reputation Stadium Tour in 2018, as her 2020 Lover Fest was canceled before it even began due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, Swift has released three studio albums — “Folklore” and “Evermore” in 2020 and “Midnights” in October 2022 — in addition to re-recording “Fearless” and “Red” (which both came with bonus tracks) in 2021.

How much are tickets to see the alan parsons project on tour in 2024.

If you paid particularly close attention to The Beatles’ “Get Back” documentary, it’s possible you may have noticed Alan Parsons in the background working as a “tea boy” aka a tape operator.

This fall, the 75-year-old tape operator turned rock star will be front and center.

From October through December, The Alan Parsons Project have gigs lined up at theaters, arts centers, casinos and music fairs all over North America as part of their ongoing ‘Reset and Power Back On Tour.’

That includes shows at Englewood, NJ’s Bergen Performing Arts Center on Thursday, Nov. 14, Westbury, NY’s Westbury Music Fair on Sunday, Nov. 17 and New Brunswick, NJ’s State Theatre on Wednesday, Nov. 20.

At all concerts, fans can expect “a distinctive mix of almost Floydian prog-rock and sensitive ballads” according to a glowing review from The Independent .

If this sounds like the sonically adventurous show for you, tickets are available for all eight upcoming shows.

Astrakhan Oblast - Overview

Astrakhan Oblast is a federal subject of Russia, part of the Southern Federal District, situated in the Caspian Lowlands where the Volga River flows into the Caspian Sea. Astrakhan is the capital city of the region.

The population of Astrakhan Oblast is about 989,400 (2022), the area - 49,024 sq. km.

History of Astrakhan Oblast

In ancient times, the territory of the Astrakhan region was crossed by trade routes of the Persians and the Arabs. In the 8th-10th centuries, the territory belonged to the Khazar Khanate. There is a hypothesis that Itil, the capital of the Khazar Khanate, was located on this territory. It was destroyed by Prince Svyatoslav in 965.

Later, Polovtsy settled on this land. In the first half of the 13th century, the Mongol-Tatars came to the area. After them, Tatars of the Astrakhan Khanate and Kazakhs became the main population of the region.

In 1556, during the reign of Ivan the Terrible, the Astrakhan Khanate was annexed to the Russian state and ceased to exist. Astrakhan krai became the southeastern military outpost of Russia. In particular, in 1569, the Turks unsuccessfully besieged the fortress of Astrakhan.

In the 17th century, trade, fishing and salt industries developed in the region. In the middle of the 17th century, the uprising of Stepan Razin took place on the territory of Astrakhan region. In 1722, near the mouth of the Kutum River, a shipyard called the Astrakhan Admiralty was built. In the 1730s-1740s, the processing of silk and cotton began here.

Astrakhan Oblast was created in 1943. The region gained its current borders in 1957.

Astrakhan Oblast is located in the south-east of the East European Plain within the Caspian Lowlands. It is an area of deserts and semi-deserts. Astrakhan oblast borders on the Volgograd region in the north, the Republic of Kalmykia in the west and Kazakhstan in the east.

It is located on the border between Europe and Asia, the Volga River gives access to five seas. The main cities of the region are Astrakhan (518,700), Akhtubinsk (35,500), Znamensk (25,700), Harabali (17,100).

The climate of Astrakhan Oblast is continental, dry. Winters are with little snow, frequent thaws and unstable snow cover; summers are hot. January is the coldest month, the average temperature is minus 10-20 degrees Celsius. July is the hottest month - the average temperature is plus 35-45 degrees Celsius.

According to the 2010 census, the ethnic composition of the local population is the following: Russians (67.6%), Kazakhs (16.3%) and Tatars (6.6%). Orthodox Christianity is the main religion. However, Muslims also make up a significant group of the population (more than 20%). Historically, this province was a place where Kazakhs and Tatars settled. The largest Kazakh community in Russia lives in the Astrakhan region.

Astrakhan Oblast - Economy

Natural resources of the region include natural gas, oil, salt, gypsum.

The industrial complex of Astrakhan, the economic center of the region, includes shipbuilding, pulp and paper industry, fish processing industry. The leading industries are fuel industry, mechanical engineering, power engineering, food industry. Astrakhan gas condensate field, the largest in the European part of Russia, is located in the area. Astrakhan Gas Processing Plant produces gas for cars, diesel and boiler fuel.

Agricultural lands make up more than 3.4 million hectares - the cultivation of tomatoes, peppers, aubergines, courgettes, cucumbers, carrots, beets, onions, cabbage, watermelons. Rice is traditionally grown along the Volga. The leading branch of livestock is sheep breeding.

The region stretches for over 400 km in the form of a narrow stripe on both sides of the Volga-Akhtubinsk flood-lands. Flooded for a long time, the territory of the delta serves as spawning-ground for such fish as sturgeon, stellate sturgeon, white sturgeon and others.
