Robert Plant ‘s Saving Grace featuring Suzi Dian have announced a UK headline tour for this year – find all the details below.

The former Led Zeppelin frontman and soloist formed the band back in 2019. Its line-up is completed by Oli Jefferson (percussion), Tony Kelsey (mandolin, baritone, acoustic guitar) and Matt Worley (banjo, acoustic, baritone guitars, cuatro).

On March 13, Saving Grace will kick off a run of UK shows with a performance at Bristol Beacon. Further dates are scheduled for Ipswich Regent, London Palladium and the Assembly Hall Theatre in Tunbridge Wells.

Plant and co. are then set to visit Peterborough, Nottingham, Hastings, Liverpool, Sheffield and Blackburn later in March before resuming the tour in Harrogate on April 30. From there, the group will make stop-offs in Stockton and Warwick in May ahead of gigs in Southend and Woking in July.

Per a press release, the upcoming concerts will be “a rare opportunity to witness the collective’s unique blend of folk, Americana, and blues”. Taylor McCall is due to open as a special guest support act.

Tickets go on general sale at 10am GMT this Friday (January 19) – you’ll be able to buy yours here .

As announced previously, Robert Plant’s Saving Grace will also be performing as part of this year’s Teenage Cancer Trust concert series at London’s Royal Albert Hall in March.

Robert Plant’s Saving Grace played a run of UK shows last November.

The previous month saw Plant perform Led Zeppelin’s classic track ‘Stairway To Heaven’ live for the first time since 2007 during a charity event.

Robert Plant’s Saving Grace announce new spring 2024 UK tour

Following a triumphant sold-out November run, Robert Plant’s Saving Grace, the esteemed co-operative featuring Suzi Dian (vocals), Oli Jefferson (percussion), Tony Kelsey (mandolin, baritone, acoustic guitar), and Matt Worley (banjo, acoustic, baritone guitars, cuatro) have today announced their 2024 live return. Plant continues to push boundaries and blow audiences away with Saving Grace. This tour promises to be a rare opportunity to witness the collective’s unique blend of folk, Americana, and blues.  Since forming in 2019, Saving Grace have received numerous acclaims for their live shows with Bob Harris describing it as ‘One of the best gigs I’ve seen in years’ and Toni Woodward, Americana UK providing a perfect summary: “…These five musicians have produced a supreme ninety minutes of music with considered interpretations of others’ compositions, ensuring they present an innovative exploration of the songs whilst maintaining their true essence. Robert Plant Announces Concerts With Saving Grace

Robert Plant has announced a run of fall show dates in the U.K. with his band Saving Grace.

Plant is first scheduled to wrap up a tour of the U.S. with Alison Krauss in September, before heading to the U.K. and kicking things off with Saving Grace in Belfast on Oct. 25.

He'll perform in a handful of major U.K. cities, including Dublin, Edinburgh and Glasgow, before wrapping the tour in Perth, Scotland on Nov. 9.

Before he went on tour with Krauss, Plant performed a run of shows in April and May with Saving Grace, a quintet that first performed together in 2019 . The group consists of singer Suzy Dian, guitarists Tony Kelsey and Matt Worley, and percussionist Oli Jefferson.

The band will continue appearing at smaller, more intimate venues this fall. Plant commented on the low-key style of touring at one of the Saving Grace shows earlier this year. "We are working a new process of fame and acquisition of wealth and treasure by not putting any records out, not selling any t-shirts, not doing a fucking thing, just keep playing," he said.

Robert Plant's mysterious musical collective Saving Grace will tour The UK in April

Saving Grace, the musical collective featuring former Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant , have announced a UK tour. The run of dates will kick off at the Bexhill De La Warr Pavilion on April 8, and climax at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival on May 1.

Alongside Plant, the line-up of the band includes Suzi Dian (vocals), Oli Jefferson (percussion), Tony Kelsey (mandolin, baritone, acoustic guitar), and Matt Worley (banjo, acoustic, baritone guitars, cuatro). 

Saving Grace made their live debut in January 2019 with a surprise performance at the Sparc Theatre in Bishop’s Castle, and followed this with a short run of low-key dates including two supporting supporting Fairport Convention. 

The band announced US tour in 2020, but the shows were cancelled as lockdown bit. They also cancelled a planned appearance at that year's G! Festival in the Faroe Islands in protest at the country's whaling operation .

Saving Grace returned to the stage last summer with a run of UK dates, performing covers of songs by the likes of the Derek Trucks Band, Bob Dylan , Planxty, Moby Grape , Low, Donovan , Los Lobos, and Richard and Linda Thompson. 

Speaking to the BBC's Zoe Ball last November , Plant was asked about the likelihood of Saving Grace recording an album. 

“Saving Grace is a bunch of friends back from on the Welsh borders, Worcestershire," responded Plant, "and we do shows, very discreet, undercover shows. It’s a beautiful sound, a magnificent sound and it’s delicately tiptoeing its way to one day being yet another thing that we mustn’t know or talk about… so yes."

The former Led Zeppelin singer formed Saving Grace back in 2019. The band’s line-up is completed by Oli Jefferson (percussion), Tony Kelsey (mandolin, baritone, acoustic guitar) and Matt Worley (banjo, acoustic, baritone guitars, cuatro).

The folk-rock collective have lined up 17 shows between March and July, kicking off with a date at the Beacon in Bristol on 13 March and finishing up at the New Victoria Theatre in Woking on 24 July.

The tour includes a performance at London’s historic Palladium on 17 March, a week before they return to the capital to play at one of Roger Daltrey’s Teenage Cancer Trust shows at the Royal Albert Hall.

According to a press release the shows will be, “a rare opportunity to witness the collective’s unique blend of folk, Americana, and blues”.

Support comes from South Carolina singer/songwriter Taylor McCall, who said in a statement, “To have my first international tour to be opening up for an actual legend, in Robert Plant, is a dream come true. The venues we’re playing are absolutely historic and beautiful and I can’t wait to make my own history in them with Robert.”

Taking place in the spring and summer

Led Zeppelin legend Robert Plant has announced a 15-date 2024 with his band Saving Grace. Featuring Suzi Dian.

Formed in 2019, the collective features Robert Plant on vocals alongside fellow singer Suzi Dian, Oli Jefferson (percussion), Tony Kelsey (mandolin, baritone, acoustic guitar), and Matt Worley (banjo, acoustic, baritone guitars, cuatro).

Musically eclectic covering folk, Americana, and blues, Robert Plant presents Saving Grace’s last UK tour in November featured versions of Led Zeppelin songs ‘Four Sticks’, ‘The Rain Song’ and ‘Friends’, amongst other covers.

The new tour opens Bristol Beacon on Wednesday 13th March and visits Ipswich, London, Tunbridge Wells, Peterborough, Nottingham, Hastings, Liverpool, Sheffield and Blackburn throughout the month.

Robert Plant presents Saving Grace then play Harrogate in late April, Stockton and Warwick in early May, and Southend and Woking in July.

Tickets to the tour go on sale from Planet Rock Tickets at 10am on Friday 19th January.

The stretch began in Nantwich Civic Hall on Saturday 30th March, with them visiting Brighton, Milton Keynes, Nottingham, Gateshead, Leeds, Bury St Edmunds, Birmingham, Cardiff, Newbury, Exeter, Southampton, London and Glasgow before concluding at Aberdeen Lemon Tree on Saturday 1st June. British rockers Kira Mac have a fresh headline UK tour lined up for April and May 2024. The string of dates began at Leeds Brudenell on Thursday 24th April 2024, and will continue through to Saturday 11th May with a show at Stoke Underground. Another tour happening in 2024 is legendary rock band The Rolling Stones . In October 2023, guitarist Keith Richards confirmed that the band were planning to hit the road in 2024 in support of 'Hackney Diamonds' - their first album of original material in 18 years. Then, in November 2023, the band further teased 2024 tour dates as they shared a link calling fans to sign up to their mailing list, for upcoming news and announcements. After fans noticed their iconic red tongue and lips logo then appearing outside locations in North America, it was confirmed that The Rolling Stones are set to play 15 stadium shows , and one festival, on a colossal tour across the United States and Canada from April-July 2024.

The Cadillac Three

Nashville country fuzz heroes The Cadillac Three will embark on their headline UK & Ireland 'The Years Go Fast Tour' in May 2024. The tour will open at Dublin Academy on Saturday 4th May, with the band visiting Belfast, Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds, Nottingham and Cardiff before concluding with The Cadillac Three's headline slot at Highways Festival at London Royal Albert Hall on Friday 17th May. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band

As part of a 22-date European tour, The Boss and his incredible band will be heading to the UK & Ireland in May and July 2024 ! Wayward Sons frontman and Planet Rock presenter Toby Jepson will be embarking on an 18-date solo acoustic UK tour in May and June 2024. Entitled 'My Life In Words – Live Acoustic! Rammstein will be heading on an 18-date European stadium tour throughout Summer 2024. Dates begin in Prague Airport Letnany on Saturday 11th May, and after touring through 12 European countries over three months, the shows will conclude with two concerts at Gelsenkirchen Veltins Arena - in Rammstein's native Germany - on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th July 2024. At the moment, there are no UK dates on Rammstein's touring itinerary.

The Black Crowes

The Black Crowes announced in January that they have lined up a four-date headline English tour for May 2024. The short trek will see Chris and Rich Robinson and co. perform at Manchester O2 Apollo on Tuesday 14th May, then playing London Eventim Apollo and Newcastle O2 City Hall before culminating at Wolverhampton Civic Halls on Saturday 18th May. Jane's Addiction will head on a short headline UK tour in May and June 2024. Keanu Reeves' rock band Dogstar will play their first UK shows in 25 years this summer, heading to the UK to play two shows in June 2024 . Following reports that AC/DC were 'looking at 2024 tour dates' to coincide with their 50th anniversary, and after the rock legends' live return at October 2023's Power Trip festival in California, it has been confirmed that AC/DC will perform two colossal concerts at London's Wembley Stadium for this summer. Legendary Heart vocalist Ann Wilson announced an album with her band Tripsitter, 'Another Door', in September 2023, and in a statement issued to Planet Rock said: 'UK tour dates will be announced in 2024' in support of 'Another Door'. Dates are yet to be announced.

Bullet For My Valentine and Trivium - 2025

Welsh metal titans Bullet For My Valentine and Orlando metal heroes Trivium are joining forces for a co-headline UK arena tour in early 2025. The 'Poisoned Ascendancy UK Tour' opens in Cardiff on Sunday 26th January, visiting Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham before concluding at London the O2 on Saturday 1st February.

Fish - 2025

Fish is performing UK dates for his farewell 'Road to the Isles Tour' , which starts in Europe in 2024. The 15-date UK leg opens with a hometown show at Haddington Corn Exchange on Tuesday 18th February 2025 and wraps up at Glasgow O2 Academy on Monday 10th March 2025 – serving as Fish's last ever live performance. Robert Plant presents Saving Grace featuring Suzi Dian with Special Guest Taylor McCall

Plant continues to push boundaries and blow audiences away with Saving Grace. This tour promises to be a rare opportunity to witness the collective’s unique blend of folk, Americana, and blues.

Since forming in 2019, Saving Grace have received numerous acclaims for their live shows with Bob Harris describing it as ‘ One of the best gigs I’ve seen in years’ and Toni Woodward, Americana UK providing a perfect summary: “…These five musicians have produced a supreme ninety minutes of music with considered interpretations of others ’ compositions, ensuring they present an innovative exploration of the songs whilst maintaining their true essence. Furthermore, this odyssey has been undertaken in the spirit of appreciation, musicianship, and exultation: they truly are a band of joy!”.

Joining the tour as once again special guest will be singer, songwriter and musician Taylor McCall. The completely self-taught South Carolina native has so far garnered nearly 30 million plays to date with captivating tracks such as “Jericho Rose”, “Quartermaster” and “Waccamaw Drive”. His debut album, Black Powder Soul was released in 2021 with new album Mellow War due for release on Friday 2 nd February.

The first photos of Led Zeppelin performing in Boston in 1971 have emerged

The first photos to emerge of Led Zeppelin performing in Boston on September 7, 1971 were published online this week .

The photographs were taken by Joe Maloney and published in a YouTube video by KRW_CO.

KRW_CO has also allowed LedZepNews to publish the below image:

Maloney also attended Led Zeppelin’s July 20, 1973 performance in Boston and his photographs of that show are expected to be published for the first time in the coming weeks.

No deal has closed for Helen Grant’s Led Zeppelin stake

This week we obtained concrete proof that Helen Grant hasn’t yet closed a deal for her shares in the royalties of Led Zeppelin and Bad Company .

A company filing in the UK shows Peter Grant’s daughter retains her 10% ownership of one of the four companies she’s been trying to sell a stake in.

We approached Grant’s laywer this week and he declined to comment for the story, including when we said we planned to mention LedZepNews’ previous report that Grant received an £8.5 million offer for her shares last year .

In August, two more companies Grant is selling stakes in are required to publicly confirm their shareholders. If any sale has closed by that point, we’ll be able to learn about it.

Showco’s 1977 US tour itinerary was published online

Indigo Kretzschmar-May continues to update her excellent website Showco.co about the touring equipment business that worked closely with Led Zeppelin and many other musicians.

This page on her site now includes Showco’s itinerary for the first leg of Led Zeppelin’s 1977 US tour, giving a day by day breakdown of how the Showco crew transported Led Zeppelin’s stage show across the US. We launched an appeal for photos of Led Zeppelin performing in Salt Lake City in 1973

Is it possible to use local media to reach attendees of Led Zeppelin shows and convince them to share photos and videos of the band?

We launched an experiment this week by contacting media in Salt Lake City explaining that Led Zeppelin’s May 26, 1973 show in the city is the most recent performance by the band with no circulating photos.

Our email caught the attention of local TV station KSL TV 5 which invited LedZepNews editor James Cook on air and published an article about our search.

Since then, we’ve heard from many people who attended the show and we’re hoping to publish some good news next week. More to come…

Jimmy Page paid tribute to Duane Eddy

Jimmy Page paid tribute to Duane Eddy this week, writing on Instagram that the guitarist who died on April 30 was “such a lovely man.”

“Duane Eddy twanged the thang in the late 50s and 60s and you can hear his character sound appearing throughout the decades of popular music. He will be missed and my thoughts are with his family,” Page wrote in the post published on May 3.

Page’s post mentions the incorrect year for when Page was interviewed by Eddy for a BBC radio show. Page claimed that the interview happened in 2011, but it actually happened on July 15, 2010. Page’s On This Day posts accurately described it as happening in 2010 .

Robert Plant (eventually) performed with Saving Grace

Robert Plant had to delay his return to performing with Saving Grace this week after he suffered from an ear infection. The band’s April 30 show in Harrogate was postponed to November 5 and the May 1 show in Stockton was postponed to November 6 .

The band eventually returned to the stage on May 3 in Warwick, shaking up their typical setlist by opening the show with “Win My Train Fare Home (If I Ever Get Lucky)”.

Tight But Loose editor Dave Lewis published an account of the show written by Richard Grubb on Facebook . “The illness that resulted in two postponed dates in the run up to this local show was hardly apparent,” Grubb wrote. “The between song Plantations may have been a little quieter, a little raspier perhaps, but there was no evidence of any dimming of the light during the songs themselves.”

The Lemon Tree Fanzine published photos of that show taken by Paul Harper on Facebook .

Saving Grace also performed at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival on May 4. Lewis published an account of that show written by Jonathan Taylor. “After set closer ‘Angel Dance’, the audience is on its feet; the applause can probably be heard across Cheltenham,” Taylor wrote. “Plant looks absolutely delighted at the response, and quips ‘If we do a live album, you’ll have to come back’.”

The Lemon Tree Fanzine also published photos of that show taken by Harper .

‘Nothing Takes The Place Of You’ is finally available on vinyl

“Nothing Takes The Place Of You,” a duet Robert Plant recorded with Patty Griffin that featured on the soundtrack to the 2013 film “Winter In The Blood” was released on vinyl for the first time this week along with a previously unheard version of the same song.

Spaceflight Record has pressed 500 copies of the film’s soundtrack on vinyl which includes a different version of the song, the label confirmed to LedZepNews.

Robin George died on April 26

Guitarist and producer Robin George, who worked with Robert Plant, died on April 26 .

George was credited on “Red for Danger”, a Robert Plant song released on the 2003 Plant compilation album Sixty Six To Timbuktu.
