5 top things to see and do in mitzpe ramon, 1. hike in ramon crater.

Mitzpe Ramon’s biggest attraction is the Ramon Crater, officially known as Makhtesh Ramon . It’s one of Israel’s greatest natural wonders, the biggest erosion cirque in the world! It was formed over millions of years by the power of water and climatical forces. Today, it is in the shape of a huge heart, 40 kilometers long and 2-10 kilometers wide. It’s full of ancient surfaces, beautiful rock formations, and stunning colors.

Many people drive into the crater and stop at several popular points, like HaMinsara, the Ammonites Wall , and the Colored Sands. Those places don’t require much walking, because you can get the car very close to the point of interest.

But, if you want to hike through the beautiful landscapes of the Makhtesh, that’s also possible. There are many hiking trails in the Makhtesh. Still, you will probably need a car to get to the trail heads. Here are some trails I’ve done in Ramon Crater and can recommend:

2. Go stargazing

Mitzpe Ramon is the perfect base for stargazing. In 2017, Ramon Crater was named the first international Dark Sky Park in the Mideast. I haven’t yet joined a stargazing tour in Ramon Crater, but I know many people who did it and enjoyed every minute. And it makes sense, because the sky here is very dark and there are almost no lights in the surroundings, what makes a perfect setting to view stars.

Every year, from 17 July to 24 August, there’s also a beautiful meteor shower, which you can view very easily from Mitzpe Ramon. Star-lovers from all around Israel come to Mitzpe Ramon and enjoy the amazing view. So, if you happen to be in Israel during the meteor shower, make your way here. Just book your stay enough time in advance, because it will probably be packed!

3. Go camping in the crater

Have you ever camped in the desert? It’s an amazing experience. Everything is quiet, and in the morning, you wake up to a stunning yellowish landscape. In Ramon Crater, you have the chance to camp in Israel’s friendly desert and enjoy a night full of stars and quiet.

Though, please keep in mind that you cannot set up a tent anywhere you want. Ramon Crater is a nature reserve, so camping is permitted only in designated places. That’s because we want to minimize our interactions with the crater’s wildlife and give the animals the space they need.

So, where are some good places to set up a tent in Ramon Crater? There are several free camping sites. These sites are “sign sites,” that have no facilities at all. They are perfect for those who are okay with experiencing the desert without the comfort of organized restrooms and showers. I’ve camped in Nahal Gvanim Camping Site , and it was great. It’s a popular camping site for groups, and there are even ecological toilets over there (but they’re not always open). Other than the toilets, there’s nothing there. Just a large, flat space. Three more free campsites in the crater are Nekarot West Camping Site , Geves Pnimi Camping Site , and Mount Ardon Camping Site . I haven’t stayed in any of them, but they seem alright.

If you prefer an organized camping site with lights, showers, and a restroom, you can stay at one of the paid campsites in the crater. I stayed at Be’erot Campground , a campsite run by the Israel Nature and Parks Authority. It was a very pleasant stay! There’s also the Selina Glamping Site with luxurious tents.

4. View the amazing sunrise

Mitzpe Ramon is one of the best spots to view the sunrise in Israel. Before the sun rises, Makhtesh Ramon is completely dark. Then, the sun starts rising above the crater and wakes up the crater’s beautiful colors. It’s remarkable! If you’re not morning people, you can also enjoy the stunning sky near sunset.

I viewed the sunrise from the Barak and Amichai Viewpoint on road number 40, on the way into the crater. It’s a good viewpoint, but if there are lots of people, you might not be able to find a place to stop there. So, I would recommend viewing the sunrise from the Albert Promenade . You can park your car next to Har Gamal and continue on foot to the promenade along the edge of the crater.

Watch this nice video by Isaac Gershon. Though, it’s better in reality!

5. Take a selfie with an ibex

The town is full of ibexes! If you love these beautiful animals, you’ll probably enjoy your stay here. Usually, you’ll find them around the edge of the crater, along Albert Promenade or next to the Barak and Amichai Viewpoint. If you’ll stay in the luxurious Beresheet Hotel , they might even come up to your room. Just make sure not to feed them! They don’t eat what we do.

How many days to visit Mitzpe Ramon?

I have passed through Mitzpe Ramon many times on my way to Eilat. But then I didn’t get enough time to appreciate the beauty and calmness of the place. So, if you want to experience the calm and relaxing vibe of Mitzpe Ramon, I recommend at least 2 days in the town. If you plan to do some hiking, it could even be 3-4 days. There’s not a lot to see in the town itself, but nearby Makhtesh Ramon (Ramon Crater) offers lots of beautiful sites and experiences. You can also use Mitzpe Ramon as a base for traveling to nearby places like Avdat National Park and David Ben Gurion’s Tomb.

When to visit Mitzpe Ramon?

In general, the best time to come to Mitzpe Ramon is in the fall, around October-November. February to May is also a good option. The days are usually pleasant for outdoor activities. Though, the nights may be chilly, because the town is located at a height of 840 meters. So, bring something warm for the night!

But if you’d like to see the meteor shower in Mitzpe Ramon, you’ll need to come sometime between 17 July to 24 August. Also, make sure to book a stay enough time in advance, because it can get completely booked early.

Where to stay in Mitzpe Ramon?

When I stayed in Mitzpe Ramon, I usually camped in the crater. The only place I stayed in the town itself was the Spice Quarter Inn , but I’m not sure I can recommend it. You can read my full review about Spice Quarter Inn here.

A place that seems reasonably priced with fairly good quality is the HI Mitzpe Ramon Hostel , but I’ve never stayed there.

If you want to camp inside the Ramon Crater, I recommend Be’erot Campground. Read my review about Be’erot Campground here. Selina Ramon also offers some budget-friendly stay options, although they’re a glamping site. There are also several free camping sites in the crater. Just keep in mind that camping is allowed only in designated places!

Where to eat in Mitzpe Ramon?

There are many restaurants in Mitzpe Ramon. Cheap restaurants can be found in the commercial center next to David Ben Gurion Boulevard. There are many fast-food restaurants over there, including a hummus place, Pizza Hut, and Mcdonald’s. If you want to eat something more special, it might cost a bit more, but I think it’s worth it.

In the Spice Quarter, there are some nice restaurants and shops. I recommend Ultra: Food from Israel and the Caucasus. It’s a Kosher restaurant serving excellent dishes from the Caucasian kitchen. I ordered potato dumplings and got a beautiful plate with a LOT of dumplings, accompanied by plenty of salads. It costs 60 shekels and was completely worth it! Other than dumplings, you can also order hummus, Caucasian rice with meat, homemade kebab, and more! The restaurant is open Sunday to Thursday from 12 noon to 10 PM and on Friday from 12 noon to 3:30 PM.

Money-saving tips for Mitzpe Ramon

You can spend a lot or a little in Mitzpe Ramon, depending on the type of vacation you’re planning. The town is full of luxurious places to stay, but you can also find some cheaper stay options. If you’re fine with camping, you can even camp for free in the nearby Ramon Crater. Just keep in mind you’ll need a car to get to Mitzpe Ramon, and that will cost you around 150-300 shekels per day.

How to get around Mitzpe Ramon?

Mitzpe Ramon is a very small place, so you can go around on foot. But you will probably want to visit Ramon Crater. So, for that, you’ll probably need a car. Taxis are costly, and it’s easier to get around the crater with a car. The basic cars should cost you around 150-300 shekels per day.

Another option to get into Ramon Crater is by hiking into it. But then you’ll need to find somewhere to camp there or pay for a taxi back to Mitzpe Ramon, which is expensive.

Recommended places outside Mitzpe Ramon

Mitzpe Ramon is located in the heart of the Negev Desert, about 2.5 hours from Tel Aviv and 1.5 hours from Eilat. The nearest city is Be’er Sheva, about one hour away. For more information and booking, check the official website of Ben Gurion’s Desert Home.

This developing town is located about 40 minutes by car from Mitzpe Ramon. You can meet the locals, go to the artificial lake, or check out the “Large Crater”, now called Makhtesh Yeruham. For more info, visit Yeruham’s official tourism website .

Narcissus in the Desert

If you’re coming to Mitzpe Ramon around January, you can also go on an easy trail to see the narcissus flower blossoming in the desert. The trail goes through Nahal Hatzaz and is about 9 kilometers long. The trail head is about 30 minutes by car from Mitzpe Ramon. About this place

Mitzpe Ramon is a town in the Negev Desert of Southern Israel. Most visitors to the Holy Land pass Mitzpe Ramon on their way to the Dead Sea or stop briefly to see the town’s most important attraction – the Ramon Crater. Mitzpe Ramon is located on the northern edge of the Ramon Crater, the largest erosion cirque in the world. In Hebrew “mitzpe” means lookout and the town of Mitzpe Ramon literally looks out across the Ramon Crater. It is a small isolated community, surrounded by spectacular natural beauty. Mitzpe attracts tourists that want to venture into the desert and artists who come to be inspired but the Negev’s dramatic landscape and endless starry skies.

The Birth of Mitzpe Ramon

In the early 1950s, a group of workers was sent to Southern Israel to construct Route 40, the country’s north-south intercity highway. The workers were accommodated at the Independence Camp established where Mitzpe Ramon stands today. A group of young families settled permanently in Mitzpe Ramon and established a cooperative agricultural settlement. In 1957 the government came up with a plan to develop the settlement, build homes and support employment by opening quarries, industrial plants, and tourist sites in the area. By 1961 the town had 370 residents and 180 homes were built to accommodate an influx of new immigrants from India, North Africa, and Holocaust survivors from Europe. It was not easy to live in the fledgling community with the harsh desert conditions, limited food supplies, hardly any amenities, and only prefabricated asbestos barracks for the new settlers.

Conditions improved in the early 1970s and the town had a population of about 1,400 people. Mitzpe suffered a blow to the economy when the new Arava Road was constructed redirecting traffic on route to Eilat to bypass Mitzpe. When the Ramon Army Airbase was built nearby in the 1980s Mitzpe Ramon grew and by the end of the 1990s, the town’s population had swelled having absorbed arriving immigrants from the former Soviet Union. The original route 40 to Eilat is now considered the scenic route and brings travelers through Mitzpe Ramon once again.

Why Visit Mitzpe Ramon

The main reason to visit Mitzpe Ramon is as a base for exploring the Negev Desert and the Ramon Crater. The Mitzpe Ramon Visitor Center is a good place to start. There are many opportunities for desert safaris, extreme sporting adventures in the Ramon Crater, cycling, hiking, and mountain biking. Visit nearby ancient ruins dating back 2,000 years, take a camel ride in the desert, or see the Ramon Crater from the Albert Promenade. Mitzpe Ramon and the surrounding desert are perfect for star-gazing thanks to the lack of city light pollution in the desert. There are star-gazing tours at night that leave from Mitzpe Ramon and 5km west of Mitzpe Ramon is the Wise Observatory overlooking the Ramon Crater. Mitzpe Ramon is home to several bed and breakfasts as well as hotels like the luxury Beresheet Mitzpe Ramon Isrotel where each room has views of the desert. You could even have a Bedouin experience and stay overnight in the desert.

Mitzpe Ramon hosts festivals and musical events throughout the year. The Artist Quarter is home to creative artists who come to Mitzpe Ramon for the isolation, pristine surroundings, and to escape the rat race. Mitzpe Ramon has gained a reputation as a spa destination where people come to relax and recharge their batteries. You can enjoy spa treatments, or attend a yoga retreat or spiritual workshop in the desert. The town’s Spice Route Quarter is another magnet for people seeking positive energy and spiritual surroundings.  See local animal life at Bio Ramon, home to 40 species from the Negev, or visit the nearby Alpaca Farm. Believe it or not, the Negev also has several excellent wineries where tours and tastings are available.

Enjoy our exciting educational Ramon crater tours!

When people hear the word “crater” they automatically envision violent meteorite impacts and giant round holes in the ground, but the Makhtesh Ramon Crater is something entirely different, as it was not created as a result of impact, but rather through a very unique process of erosion. Only seven such erosion craters are known to exist worldwide, all of which reside in the Negev desert and the Sinai deserts, with Ramon Crater being the largest (stretching up to 40 km in length). For that reason, the correct term to describe it is not 'crater' but rather 'Makhtesh', which is the Hebrew word for crater, indicating the uniqueness of this geological phenomena. Our tour will takes you through the breathtaking rock formations which are the results of different forces and materials coming together in a manner not seen anywhere else. In both English and Hebrew, an erosion crater is known as a "Makhtesh". The Ramon Crater is the biggest Makhtesh of its kind, and remains amongst a diverse number of Earth’s unique geological phenomena.

The abundance of exposed geological layers in the Ramon Crater offers a unique window into the past. Versatile fossils are encountered here, and some of Earth’s oldest geological layers are exposed. Specialized desert wildlife and vegetation inhabit the area, and hidden water bodies are present.

Going down into the crater you could already appreciate the dramatic scenery of an erosion crater. When going off the main road and into the Ramon dry riverbed, we will have a break to learn on the beauty and complexity of a Makhtesh an erosion crater. We will then continue up to the Gvanim Mt. There you  a panoramic fantastic view of the Makhtesh revealed. Going down again, this time through a different path, you will see the most ancient layers of the crater unravel with brilliant colors.

Throughout the tour we will be discussing desert wild-life, botanic, geology and whatever is on your mind. Finally we will go back up again to Mitzpe Ramon and drop you off on a destination to your choice within town.

The Ramon crater tours are a unique outdoor activity for families, groups, teams and couples.

Technical Details

The "get to know the crater" jeep tour is the basic option. It is about 2 hours long and costs 800 ILS . This tour will give you an insight into the Ramon crater’s creation, the diverse geological layers,  desert fauna flora and more.

A more detailed 4 hour jeep tour is available (coffee and snack break are guaranteed!) more in depth on geologly, some water bodies in the desert and more. This tour price is 1200 ILS .

At the end of your Ramon crater tour, we will return up the winding road leading back to Mitzpe Ramon, where we will drop you off wherever you like within the town.

Ramon crater tours all leave from Mitzpe Ramon unless otherwise requested.

"Makhtesh Ramon is a geological feature of Israel's Negev desert. Located at the peak of Mount Negev, some 85 km south of the city of Beersheba, the landform is not an impact crater from a meteor nor a volcanic crater formed by a volcanic eruption, but rather is the world's largest "erosion cirque" (steephead valley or box canyons). The formation is 40 km long, 2–10 km wide and 500 meters deep, and is shaped like an elongated heart. The only settlement in the area is the small town of Mitzpe Ramon ("Ramon Lookout") located on the northern edge of the depression. Today the area forms Israel's largest national park, the Ramon Nature Reserve."

Where did they start the journey and where were they headed? What were they carrying that justified this unbelievable effort? Where are they today?? By now we’d have probably spotted some gazelle and a few onagars (wild asses). Our next stop will be at the tip of the crater – just where the two rims meet, for another perfect view, just as the colors of the day become softer. From there we’ll start our way back to Mitzpe Ramon while the sun sets behind us.

the menora har karkom

Har Karkom - Biblical MT. Sinai 4x4 desert tour

Har Karkom, Karkom Mountain, in the southwest Negev desert in Israel, is possibly the biblical Mt. Sinai. Excavations on the mountain, made by Professor Emmanuel Anati, discovered that it was a major Paleolithic cult center, many of the findings are evidence that Har Karkom was a sacred mountain to ancient cultures. along with tens of thousands of years.  Almost 40000 rock engravings, flintstones tools and weapons, shrines and altars, headstones, and traces of settlements were discovered around the mountain.

Geographically, its location is on the suggested route of the children of Israel in the exodus from Egypt. Among more than 20 other mountains, no one can tell for sure, where is Mt. Sinai, and in our day tour we will explore the mountain and learn about this amazing site.  Its location is on the suggested route of the children of Israel in the exodus from Egypt.

Its location makes it accessible only by jeeps and since it’s not allowed to use the border road for security reasons, the only way now is to drive down south and then west, about three – three and a half hours drive from Mitzpe Ramon. Since our way to the mountain is through a military firing range there is a need for permission from the army to enter the area and it is possible to visit there only on Saturdays.

Generally, the meeting is in Mitzpe Ramon since it is the nearest point to the mountain. It's more than 3 hours to drive from Mitzpe Ramon on road 40 south and drive through the Ramon crater, through the desert of Paran, and then to Mt. Karkom.  When we get to the mountain we start our hike to the mountain. Climbing up to the mountain followed by many rock engraving art and archaeological sites on top of the mountain. The view from the top of the mountain towards the Sinai and Paran deserts connects us to the biblical story and the unique sites of the desert culture together with an abundance of findings with ritualistic and sacred characteristics that are part of our guidance.

The hiking to the mountain is for about 3-4 hours and then we will return to Mitzpe Ramon. Please take into account that a very long and intensive day, over 12 hours. Usually, it requires an accommodation in Mitzpe Ramon on the night before the tour to make it possible to start the tour early in the morning.

Machtesh Ramon

At the heart of Israel’s vast Negev Desert, lies the Ramon Crater, the world’s largest erosion crater, also known as Machtesh Ramon. Encompassing a vast diversity of rocks of fantastic colors and forms, this mesmerizing natural phenomenon measures 40km in length and between 2 and 10km in width, shaped like an elongated heart, and forms Israel’s largest national park, the Ramon Nature Reserve.

ramon tours

Far from the city lights and crowds, featuring multicolored sandstone, volcanic rock, and fossils, the Ramon Crater is often described as Israel’s very own Grand Canyon.

The truly stunning views from the 300m edge lookout point of Machtesh Ramon, reminiscent of a Hollywood backdrop offer a powerful experience for tourists from all over the world, all year round.

A visit to Machtesh Ramon offers a range of exciting experiences and attractions specifically geared towards tourists and world travelers:

Ramon Crater Visitor Center  –  Built on the crater’s edge, the visitor center overlooks the awesome views from the Machtesh and offers an opportunity to learn about its unique natural phenomena, and also about the life and work of Ilan Ramon, the first Israeli astronaut.

Hai Ramon  - Raising awareness to the local animal population, The Hai Ramon animal park offers a fascinating encounter with the often obscure and unseen small animals of the desert, The site features about 40 species of animals: lizards, snakes, turtles, spurs, hedgehogs, falcons, pheasants and more.

Kahn Saharonim  – a short walk from this once station on the Nabatean Spice Route, is Ein Saharonim, a beautiful spring (dry in the summer) which features rich vegetation and the footprints of the many animals that come to enjoy its waters.

The Carpentry  – a fascinating geological phenomenon, The Carpentry is a concentration of elongated stones in the form of prisms formed when the sandstone was "baked" at the high temperature created by a hot lava flow from the depths of the earth. During its cooling, the rock formed into thousands of ribbed columns, and the fragments of the columns act as the prisms.

The Ammonite Wall  - a rock wall featuring fossils of ammonites - marine animals that lived millions of years ago in the sea which then covered the entire Negev area.

A trip to Machtesh Ramon is a fascinating experience, one guaranteed to create a strong impression and a lasting memory.

Miles Russell, 15, ready for TOUR-sanctioned debut at LECOM Suncoast Classic

LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. – Miles Russell is too young for a driver’s license, but he outdrove his playing partners with ease Tuesday at the LECOM Suncoast Classic.

Russell, the world’s top-ranked junior golfer, will make his PGA TOUR-sanctioned debut this week on a sponsor exemption, roughly a four-hour drive from his hometown of Jacksonville Beach, Florida.

Russell, 15, is a high-school freshman who began online schooling in eighth grade. The smooth-swinging left-hander got ahead on coursework in recent days (classes include geometry, Earth science, world history and geography) so he can focus on competing at Lakewood National Golf Club’s Commander course. This isn’t a ceremonial start, as Russell has displayed high-end talent and skill across a schedule of big-time junior golf events. He surpassed Tiger Woods last fall as the youngest AJGA Boys Junior Player of the Year, and he nearly Monday qualified for the PGA TOUR’s Puerto Rico Open last month – falling in a playoff for the final spot.

A junior star’s first TOUR-sanctioned start becomes a time capsule in future years. Jordan Spieth finished T16 at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson in 2010 (at age 16), and a 17-year-old Scottie Scheffler finished T22 at the same event four years later. Both, like Russell, are past AJGA Players of the Year and made their TOUR-sanctioned debut in their home state. The youthful energy radiates across time, and Russell looks forward to a similar experience this week in Florida.

“I don’t know what to expect, but I’d love to make the cut and who knows, maybe have a good weekend and see where it puts me,” Russell said Tuesday.

Russell was introduced to golf at age 2 by his dad and grandpa, “whacking it around the house … and it’s been history ever since,” he said. “Took me out to the course and went through a bucket of balls in 3 minutes, and it was just fun.”

Russell played baseball and soccer in his formative years, but he eased those sports back to focus on golf – he still enjoys some pickleball and tennis at times, but golf is his purest sporting love. He first attended THE PLAYERS Championship at age 2 (TPC Sawgrass is just 10 minutes from home) and said he’s attended that event as a fan each year since.

“I’ve always wanted to be able to do it," Russell said of eventually pursuing professional golf. "To have the chance to do it would be even cooler, and then to be able to do it would be awesome. I think it would just be cool to do something I love, and there’s not much more I love than this.”

His resume suggests he’s poised to do just that.

Russell was named the 2023 AJGA Player of the Year on Nov. 2 (a day after turning 15) in a year that included winning the Junior PGA Championship (by seven strokes), Junior PLAYERS Championship (carding a second-round 66 at TPC Sawgrass’ PLAYERS Stadium Course, en route to becoming the event’s youngest winner) and representing the United States at the Junior Ryder Cup.

Russell has worked with instructor Ramon Bescansa, whom he describes as both a swing coach and a skills coach, since age 6 or 7. Bescansa, a former Korn Ferry Tour member, will caddie for his student in his Korn Ferry Tour debut.

When asked about TOUR player comparisons that come to mind, Bescansa mentioned reigning Open champion Brian Harman, noting their elite hands, short game and intuition.

“He was already incredible when I first started working with him,” Bescansa said of Russell. “He had a golf IQ that’s not normal for such a young age. It’s been so much fun. I was able to not only help him with his swing, but teaching him how to play golf, play all the shots; he already had a huge understanding and he was like a sponge, a lot of teaching was done with him and a club, and try to do it.”

Russell says he’s more of a feel player than technical, and his instructor concurs. Bescansa said a large part of their work relates to tempo and being synced up. That will become especially paramount as Russell’s body continues to change.

“He’s only 15 and he’s still growing; every time I see him, he’s hitting it farther,” said Bescansa, noting that Russell has reached 112-113 mph of swing speed (which will likely increase in future years).

Russell made waves in the professional golf sphere by narrowly missing at Puerto Rico Open’s Monday qualifier, as he made bogey at No. 18 before falling in a 4-for-1 playoff won by Korn Ferry Tour member Evan Harmeling. (Harmeling proceeded to top-10 in Puerto Rico, his first TOUR start, to earn a spot in the Valspar Championship.)

In a twist, Russell and Harmeling often compete in chipping competitions around their hometown Atlantic Beach Country Club – Russell also often tests his skills against TOUR pros Vince Covello, Raul Pereda, Russell Knox, Philip Knowles and others. Being around professional golfers has accelerated Russell’s development into a world-class junior player, concurred Russell and his instructor, befitting of Russell’s “sponge” ethos.

That was also the case Tuesday, when Russell played an 18-hole practice round with veteran pros Roberto Diaz, Sam Saunders and Rob Oppenheim – who finished runner-up at the Club Car Championship at The Landings Golf & Country Club earlier this month. (After being informed that Russell was the No. 1-ranked junior, Oppenheim quipped that if he wasn’t No. 1, that could foreshadow trouble for veteran pros at large.) Those three have combined for 907 starts between the PGA TOUR and Korn Ferry Tour.

Russell might embody the game’s future, but his veteran playing partners didn’t shy away from offering instruction in the present. On the par-4 11th tee, the group discussed how the hole might play in certain wind directions and various angles to consider on the short par 4 that could become drivable on a downwind day. As they strode up the fairway, Diaz shared nuances and a perspective accrued through a 15-year pro career.

“These guys have been great,” Russell said. “Certainly watching what they’ve doing; asked them some questions … they’ve kind of been showing me some secrets.”

Russell also spent some time at THE PLAYERS last month with world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, whom he said “was such a nice guy and such a great guy.” Scheffler famously debuted at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson in 2014, finishing T22 with his sister Callie on the bag – and making a hole-in-one in the third round.

“Scheffler sounded like a PGA TOUR veteran Sunday, analyzing his experience and making a mental checklist of everything he wants to fix,” wrote ESPN at the time.

Russell too sounded like a veteran Tuesday discussing his week ahead, his quiet confidence backed up by his laundry list of accomplishments. The No. 1 junior wasn’t in the business of making bold proclamations, but he projected a sense of expectation to compete this week. When asked about highlight golf moments so far, he mentioned the Junior Ryder Cup and holing out on the 72nd hole at the Junior PGA Championship, but also …

“Maybe we’ll make one this week,” he said after completing Tuesday’s practice round, as he headed to the range for some further work. “Who knows?”
