Go south and down the dirt path there. Follow it around to the stairs up to the Pokemon Gym. Go east from there and go and heal up. The gentleman to the left of the counter here will trade one of your Marowak (if you have one) for a Level 38 Alolan Marowak . Feel free to trade if you wish. Speak with the man in red sitting down to the right of the counter to be able to teach Splishy Splash to your partner Pikachu, or Freezy Frost , Sappy Seed , or Sparkly Swirl to your partner Eevee. Leave the Center and go south to drop down the ledge. You'll bump into Jessie and James who will hand you some Gold Teeth then run away. Go further south and drop down the ledge for a Full Heal . Drop down once more and speak with the Swimmer.

With that continue back into the proper part of Fuchsia City. Go up the stairs to the red brick path, then drop down the ledge going east. Go into the first house there. Speak with the man, who happens to be the warden and you'll give him the Gold Teeth . For that he gives you the Safari Set , as well as teaching you Strong Push , another Secret Technique. Leave the house and go into the one to the right. Continue through and exit by the back door to find a Super Lure . Go back inside and leave via the main door. Finally go north-west to the Poke Mart. Goods are as follows:

Fuchsia City Poke Mart 4 Badges

All that's left is the GO Park and the city's gym, as well as exploring Route 15 , Route 14 , Route 13 , and Route 12 - Continued . We're going to explore the extra routes, then head to the Fuchsia City Gym , but you are welcome to attempt the gym earlier if you wish. The main thing to note is that to enter the gym you need to have at least 50 Pokemon registered to your Pokedex, so if you don't it might be a good idea to explore the Routes first and catch those last few (hopefully only a few) Pokemon. Alright, north-west from the Poke Mart into the GO Park! As you try to enter, your partner will jump off of you and run in. Watch the cute little cutscene, then head in. Go west over to the man by the Lapras and speak with him. He teaches you the Secret Technique Sea Skim . Now you can surf around the place! You can now go north-east into the main building, and begin trading in some Pokemon from Pokemon GO if you wish. If you want to get some more information on how to do that, check the __ section. (Section coming soon!) Once you're all done, go and heal up at the Pokemon Center if you need, then leave the city via the east exit. This is also a good time to note that you can now visit the Power Plant at any point if you want to make an attempt at Catching Zapdos . Check those sections whenever you wish. That said, the Pokemon and couple of trainers around there are quite high level, so it's not quite recommended. This guide will assume that you leave Zapdos and the Power Plant until after beating the Elite Four, more for convenience than anything else.

Pokémon Let's Go Fuchsia City, Warden's Teeth and Koga Gym Battle - available Pokémon, items and trainers

Our complete Pokémon Let's Go walkthrough and guide to your big adventure with Pikachu or Eevee.

Fuchsia City and the Koga Gym battle (plus finding the Warden's Teeth ) are your next major objectives in your quest through Pokémon Let's Go's main story, after you've defeated Giovanni at Silph Co. and headed south via either Route 18 or Route 15 .

Below, we'll cover any and all of the obtainable Pokémon, item locations, trainers and their squads that you might encounter in the area, as well as walking you through any key steps of the story along the way.

We've also opted to break out walkthrough pages down into sections, referring to each of your visits to a given location, seeing as you often backtrack or revisit various places in your quest to become Champion! Where applicable, we'll split our page into one section for each visit, and of course if there are any, clearly mark any spoilers, too!

For more like this, be it specific systems explainers or walkthrough pages on more locations, head back to our main Pokémon Let's Go walkthrough and guide hub .

Pokémon Let's Go: Fuchia City and the Warden's Teeth

Pokémon let's go: fuchsia city koga gym solution and battle.

At last, another major city! If you've worked your way through both the eastern path of Route 12, Route 13, Route 14 and Route 15 or the western way of getting here through Route 16, Route 17 and Route 18, you're probably crying out for a bit of civilisation - we are, even after just listing all those routes!

let's go eevee safari zone

Interestingly, you can actually do pretty much anything in town here, including challenge Koga at Fuchsia City Gym, as soon as you get the Poké Flute to wake up the Snorlax that block to two routes south that lead you here. If you haven't already though, we do suggest you tackle Team Rocket at Silph Co. first. After that, it's your choice for what you want to take on first out of Fuchsia City and Saffron City Gyms. Personally, we tackled Silph Co., then did some levelling on the routes towards Fuchsia City, then took on Sabrina at Saffron City Gym, then tackled Koga here - but it's up to you!

Here in Fuchsia City itself there are plenty of things to do. As you'd expect there's a trader in the Pokémon Center, this time a Gentleman who will trade you an Alolan Marowak for your regular one. There's also another move tutor with him, who'll teach your partner Pokémon even more moves now (Sappy Seed, Freezy Frost and Sparkly Swirl, which are Grass, Ice and Fairy-Type moves, for Eevee in our case).

let's go eevee safari zone

Otherwise there's another very important thing to do here: acquire not one, but two Secret Techniques, Sea Skim and Strong Push, the Let's Go equivalent of Suft and Strength respectively.

Getting Sea Skim is dead simple - simply talk to the man next to the Lapras in the pool of water in Fuchsia City and listen to his story to be taught Sea Skim - this will let you surf on water, opening up entire new parts of the world!

Strong Push is slightly more complex. You need to talk to the Safari Zone Warden in his house, in the bottom right part of town. He'll say something pretty hard to understand, because he's lost his teeth! He lost them somewhere on Route 19, which is just south out of town.

let's go eevee safari zone

Head there and you'll find Jessie and James of Team Rocket once again getting up to no good. Hapless as they are, they'll dig up the gold teeth thinking they're something valuable, only to realise how gross they are and give them to you instead! That was easy then, just take them back to the Warden in his house and he'll reward you with the Safari outfit and the Strong Push ability.

While you're there, shove that boulder in his house to the side to find a little Diglett, who gives you a Nugget. How kind!

let's go eevee safari zone

The last thing to know about Fuchsia City - aside from how to crack it's Gym, which we explain below - is that there's no longer a Safari Zone here in the proper sense. Instead, there's the little area where Pokémon (that you can't catch) roam around near the top of town, and Go Park, which is where you transfer Pokémon to from Pokémon Go. We explain that in detail in our Pokémon Go to Pokémon Let's Go transfer steps guide!

The Fuchsia City Gym is one of the tricker ones to get through, thanks to a rather crafty puzzle: it's full of invisible walls.

Thankfully, the way of solving it actually isn't too difficult once you know what to do. Every few seconds, a puff of smoke will appear that feintly highlights where the walls of the maze are, allowing you to spot the gaps for where to go next. If you're finding it a bit tough to work through yourself though, here's how to get to every trainer and Koga himself, step by step:

let's go eevee safari zone

Fuchsia City gym solution

  • Head right first, to fight the Tamer Phil.
  • Then head up past him to fight Ace Trainer Kayden.
  • Then head left along the top wall, and down from the top left corner to Juggler Kirk.
  • Go down from Juggler Kirk to Juggler Harry.
  • Go left from Juggler Harry to the left hand wall, then snake down to the bottom left corner, where you can battle Tamer Edgar, or go straight to Ace Trainer Annie, diagonally up and right.
  • Either way, after Ace Trainer Annie you need to go down on the left hand side of Koga's platform, past Tamer Edgar, until you're in front of Koga and can finally battle him!

Trainers and Battles - Fuchsia City Gym!

Once you've battled Koga for the Marsh Badge and picked up both of the Secret Techniques, you're all done here in Fuchsia City. Continue on to the south, to Route 19 , for the next steps in your quest, or cycle back to our main Pokémon Let's Go walkthrough and guide hub for all the other pages we have like this.

As breeding is not a feature within these games and Pokmon don't have abilities, there is no easy ways to manipulate wild Pokmon natures, except by one character. In Celadon City's PokMart, you will find Madam Celadon. For 10,000, she will ask you a question asking you which colour of flower you choose to water. This determines the dominant stat. Then, she'll ask which one you'll thin out indicating the hindered stat. She'll then tell you which nature you'll see more prominently in the wild for the rest of the day.

Fuchsia City

Kanto Fuchsia City Map.png

Fuchsia City (Japanese: セキチクシティ Sekichiku City ) is a city located in southwest Kanto . Its most distinguishing features are the Safari Zone in the Generation I and III games and the Poison-type Gym . Koga is the Fuchsia City Gym Leader until his daughter Janine takes over in the Generation II and IV games.

Route 15 leads into the city from the east, Route 18 from the west, and the beach of Route 19 is in the south.

Bill's grandfather lives in Fuchsia City.

In Generation II, the Safari Zone is closed down. In Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver , Pal Park replaces the closed-down Safari Zone. In Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! , the zoo in the city is referred to as the Safari Zone, while the former Safari Zone's location is now occupied by GO Park .

Places of interest

Safari zone.

The Safari Zone is a special Pokémon preserve where Trainers can enter to catch certain types of Pokémon. It is owned by the Warden .

For $ 500, the player will receive 30 Safari Balls . With a large area to cover, Trainers must plan out their destination so as to arrive in time to capture all the Pokémon they want.

When a wild Pokémon appears, no Pokémon may be sent out to battle it: catching Pokémon here, as in all Safari Zones, requires sheer luck. There are four options in the battle screen: throw a Safari Ball, throw Bait, throw a Rock, and run away. Throwing Bait makes a Pokémon less likely to run, but makes it harder to catch; while throwing a Rock does the reverse, making it easier to catch but more likely to run.

During Generations I and III , however, a sweepstakes is taking place to find a hidden house deep in the Safari Zone, called the Secret House. The winner of the sweepstakes receives HM03 ( Surf ). During Generations II and IV , the Safari Zone is not open. In HeartGold and SoulSilver only, the Kanto Pal Park takes its place.

During Generation VII , the regular catching mechanics of Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! is similar to the Safari Game, with different types of Berry being thrown to make catching instead of weakening wild Pokémon in battle. The Safari Zone now refers to the former Pokémon Zoo in the front, and the GO Park out back.

SAFARI GAME POKéMON-U-CATCH!

Safari Zone Warden

let's go eevee safari zone

Safari Zone Warden Baoba is the man in charge of the Kanto Safari Zone . His house is located on the southeastern side of the city. He lives in a cottage next to the Pokémon Center . The locals of Fuchsia nicknamed the Warden "Slowpoke" because he has a vacant look similar to that seen on a Slowpoke . He's actually very knowledgeable about Pokémon, which should only be natural as taking care of the Safari Zone Pokémon is part of his job. He has a collection of rare Pokémon Fossils . He has recently lost his false teeth in the Safari Zone R B Y FR LG or on Route 19 P E and has become unable to speak clearly. If the player character returns his teeth to him, he'll give them HM04 ( Strength ), R B Y FR LG or he will teach their Partner Pokémon the Secret Technique Strong Push and will give both the player and their Partner Pokémon the Safari Set clothing . P E In Generation I - IV , Wild Pokémon appear in the city in a pond behind the Warden's house.

He also runs a promotion in the Safari Zone. Pokémon Trainers who find the Secret House on the grounds are given HM03 ( Surf ). R B Y FR LG As Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! do not have the original version of the Safari Zone, the Secret House, or HMs, the games' rough equivalent of Surf, the Secret Technique Sea Skim, is taught to the player's Partner Pokémon by another NPC in Fuchsia City. It's probable that Baoba is friends with Koga , as the Gym Leader patrols the grounds of the Safari Zone to keep things safe. In FireRed and LeafGreen , Koga's daughter, Janine , can also be found just outside of the Safari Zone after the player enters the Hall of Fame .

In Generation II , the Warden has left on a trip, so the Safari Zone has been shut down and most of the exclusive Pokémon have been moved to adjacent Routes. As there is a GO Park in place of the original Safari Zone in Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, The once-exclusive Pokémon are also moved there in the Generation VII games, with Tauros , Chansey , Scyther , P and Pinsir E now being obtainable on Route 15 . In HeartGold and SoulSilver , however, the park's closing led to the opening of a Pal Park . It's also in these games that the Warden's name is revealed to be Baoba. Wishing to maintain the Safari Game, Baoba opens another Safari Zone in Johto .

SAFARI ZONE WARDEN'S HOME

Move Deleter

let's go eevee safari zone

In Generation III , a Move Deleter resides in a house in Fuchsia City that cannot be accessed in Generations I , II , or IV , next to the city's Pokémon Center . The Move Deleter is a very forgetful man who lives alone. For no charge, he will make a Pokémon forget a move that it knows, provided that the move is not the only move which that Pokémon knows. He is the only way for a Pokémon to forget HM moves such as Cut or Fly . In Generation VII , the house is still accessible, but as neither HMs nor the Super Rod are in Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, the Move Deleter "Mr. Dazzling" has moved away to the former home of the younger Fishing Brother on Route 12 , and now gives the player TM32 ( Dazzling Gleam ).

Pokémon Zoo

In Generations I and III, a Pokémon zoo is located in Fuchsia City, just outside the Safari Zone. However, it is closed, like the Safari Zone, in Generations II and IV. There are Pokémon on display, including Chansey , Lapras , Voltorb , Kangaskhan , and Slowpoke . In addition, the Fossil that the player "shares" with the Super Nerd in Mt. Moon appears here as well. It will be a Kabuto if the player chose the Helix Fossil , and an Omanyte if the player chose the Dome Fossil . In Generation VII , it is the front area of the Safari Zone, also known as the Playful Park. Chansey, Lapras, Voltorb, Kangaskhan, Slowpoke, and either Kabuto or Omanyte are still in this part of the city outside of the GO Park but now roam freely instead of being on display in enclosures.

POKéMON PARADISE SAFARI ZONE

Name: SLOWPOKE Friendly and very slow moving.

Name: CHANSEY Catching one is all up to chance.

Name: VOLTORB The very image of a POKé BALL.

Name: KANGASKHAN A maternal POKéMON that raises its young in a pouch on its belly.

Name: LAPRAS A.K.A. the king of the seas.

Name: LAPRAS AKA the king of the seas.

Name: OMANYTE/KABUTO A POKéMON that was resurrected from a fossil.

Name: KABUTO/OMANYTE An extremely rare POKéMON that was regenerated from a fossil.

In Generation II only, there's a notice outside the Safari Zone Office informing that it is closed until further notice.

There's a notice here... SAFARI ZONE OFFICE is closed until further notice.

Also exclusive to Generation II is a sign within the Pokémon Zoo warning people to avoid littering.

No littering. Please take your waste with you.

In HeartGold and SoulSilver , a Juggler that is found near Pal Park will hand out three different types of Berries each time a shard is traded. The types of Berries given to the player depend on the shard's color. There is another Juggler that will trade a shard for Berries in Violet City .

In Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! , a Trainer in the Pokémon Center will teach the player's Partner Pokémon exclusive moves .

Fuchsia Gym

let's go eevee safari zone

The Fuchsia Gym is the official Gym of Fuchsia City. It is based on Poison-type Pokémon . In Generations I , III , and VII , the Gym Leader is Koga . However, by Generations II and IV , the Gym Leader's duties have been taken up by Koga's daughter, Janine . Trainers who are victorious at this Gym receive the Soul Badge .

The Gym contains a maze made of invisible walls. Under Janine's rule, an additional layer of challenge is added by having all the Gym Trainers be disguised as the Gym Leader until talked to.

Demographics

Pokémon red, blue, and yellow.

Fuchsia City has a population of 29, not including people in the Safari Zone.

Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal

Fuchsia City has a population of 22. This is partially a result of the Safari Zone closing, and its employees no longer being in the city.

Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen

In Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen , Fuchsia City is an average-sized city and has a population of 35.

Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver

Fuchsia City has a population of 36; the population has increased by one since Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen .

Generation I

Generation ii, generation iii, generation vii, differences among generations.

Three years from Generation I and III to Generation II and IV , the city has changed quite dramatically. The Pokémon Zoo has closed down, transforming the northern half of the city into a grassy plain, only accessible by the use of Cut . There is also a small area in the northwestern part of the city, that contains a Burnt Berry . The southeasternmost house can no longer be entered, and a gap in the fence is added to let the player access the pond behind it.

In Generation II , Warden Slowpoke has left on a trip, so the Safari Zone has been shut down and most of the exclusive Pokémon have been moved to adjacent routes. In Generation IV, the Safari Zone is replaced with Pal Park instead, with a replacement Safari Zone now found in Johto .

In the spin-off games

Pokémon pinball.

In Pokémon Pinball , Fuchsia City (misspelled Fuchia) appears on the Blue table; catchable Pokémon include Venonat , Exeggcute , Kangaskhan , Goldeen and Magikarp .

In the anime

Main series.

let's go eevee safari zone

Even though Ash won the Soul Badge at the Fuchsia Gym in The Ninja Poké-Showdown , the Gym was located outside of Fuchsia City, thus resulting in the city itself not being visited at the time.

A Nurse Joy that entered the Pokémon League Admissions Exam in The Ultimate Test was from Fuchsia City.

Fuchsia City itself made its proper debut in Time Warp Heals All Wounds , where it was depicted as a deserted, dark-looking place. When her Squirtle wandered off, May chased it to an abandoned railway station. There she discovered an old woman named Edna , who told her that she was waiting for her husband, Jonathan , to return, even though the trains didn't use the station anymore.

From Edna's granddaughter Katrina , May heard that Edna and Jonathan had once operated a Pokémon breeding Center in Fuchsia City, until Jonathan had suggested that they leave for a while so he could study to become a doctor. Edna, however, had been unwilling to leave her hometown, so Jonathan left for the train station by himself, leaving behind a letter telling of his decision. After reading the letter, Edna had rushed to the station, intending to convince Jonathan to stay, for she, unbeknownst by Jonathan, was carrying a child. Unfortunately, she bumped into a Gentleman on the way, preventing her from reaching Jonathan in time. Even though she got a letter a year later telling her that Jonathan had died in an accident, she still came to the station every day to wait for his return, refusing to believe that her husband was gone.

Soon after, May, Squirtle, and Meowth found the pendant Edna had lost back when Jonathan had left. Suddenly the pendant started to glow, and May, Squirtle, and Meowth unexpectedly found themselves in the past, back at the day when Jonathan had left Edna. Not wanting the lovers to lose each other, May used her Squirtle's Ice Beam to change the falling rain into a snowfall, delaying the train's departure long enough for Edna to reach Jonathan in time and convince him to stay. Just then, the pendant started to glow again, and May, Squirtle, and Meowth were returned to the present, where their actions in the past had had dramatic results: Fuchsia City was no longer deserted and dark, but lively and full of light, with even the train station still being in use. Just then, Ash, Brock , and Max arrived, telling May that her Egg was about to hatch. When she went with the others to see her Egg at the Pokémon Center, she was surprised to see Edna, Jonathan, and Katrina, who were now working together as Pokémon pediatricians . Due to the past having been changed, neither Edna or Katrina remembered May, and due to May, Squirtle, and Meowth being the only ones having traveled through time , they were the only ones aware of the alternate present.

Later at that night, after May's Egg hatched into an Eevee , Ash, his friends, Edna, Jonathan, and Katrina witnessed the "Lights of Joy", where Volbeat and Illumise danced around a tree in the middle of the city, something that the alternate present had lacked.

In Caring for a Mystery! , Ash battled and defeated Hayden , a Trainer from Fuchsia City, in a World Coronation Series match.

The Battle Pike is also located near Fuchsia City.

Pokémon Origins

Although Fuchsia City didn't make a proper appearance in Pokémon Origins , Red did visit it briefly in File 3: Giovanni , where he defeated Koga and earned the Soul Badge, and in File 4: Charizard , where he was seen visiting the Safari Zone and catching a Chansey in there.

In the manga

let's go eevee safari zone

The Electric Tale of Pikachu

Ash and Brock traveled to Fuchsia City in The Human Race and the Pokémon Race , arriving there during the Nomads Independence Day festival, where they reunited with Misty . During the group's stay in the city, Ash participated in the Fuchsia Free-For-All Race on behalf of Lara Laramie .

Pokémon Adventures

Red, green & blue arc.

Fuchsia City first appeared Long Live the Nidoking! and A Hollow Victreebel , where Red visited the Safari Zone . His actions during the guided tour around the place caused him to get lost and nearly get killed by the wild Pokémon , but eventually he managed to survive his experience, catching a ton of Pokémon along the way.

FireRed & LeafGreen arc

Fuchsia City made a cameo in Start the Countdown, Starmie , where Baoba and one of his Pidgebots witnessed the stalling Team Rocket airship passing over the city.

Pokémon Pocket Monsters

Fuchsia City appeared in Save the Chansey!! , where Red and Clefairy tried to save a group of Chansey from a Chansey Torturer hired by Koga.

Pokémon Zensho

Fuchsia City appeared in Fuchsia City . Soon after arriving in the city, Satoshi learned that the Safari Zone Warden had lost his dentures and agreed to help find them. After successfully finding the dentures and defeating Gym Leader Koga at the Safari Zone, Satoshi returned the dentures to the Warden as promised, much to his gratitude.

  • In Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen , after the player enters the Hall of Fame , Janine can be found behind the zoo saying that she is training to become the Gym Leader . Her name in the Fame Checker is erroneously listed as "Charine" in the English versions.
  • Starting in Pokémon Yellow , wild Gyarados can be caught by fishing in the lake next to the Warden's house. This may be a reference to EP035 , where Misty fishes up a Gyarados in the Safari Zone .
  • Fuchsia City did not appear in the anime until Time Warp Heals All Wounds in the Battle Frontier saga, despite the Gym appearing in the original series , making it the only Kanto settlement to not appear during the original series.
  • In Generation II, this city shares its music with Celadon City instead of with Cerulean City like in all other games.
  • In Generation II, the Pokémon Center lady has green hair instead of red.
  • In Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! , two Master Trainers found here share each other's names, although in different languages.

Pokemon Let’s Go: How to Get & Use Gold Teeth

How to Get and Use Gold Teeth in Pokemon Let’s Go

Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee are pretty faithful remakes of the original Game Boy titles, which means that series fans should already be pretty familiar with how the game progresses. If you’re new, however, there might be a few things that seem unclear, such as the random Gold Teeth you find in Fuchsia City. Here’s how you can get and use the Gold Teeth in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee .

When you first arrive in Fuchsia City, head for the beach area just south of the Poke Center. Here, you’ll find Jessie and James, who have stumbled upon some Gold Teeth in the sand. After getting grossed out by it, they’ll hand it over to you before blasting off again.

In the original Pokemon games, you’d have to look for the Safari Warden’s house deep in the Safari Zone to return his teeth to him. However, things have been made a lot simpler in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee.

Finding the Safari Warden in Pokemon Let’s Go

This time, the Warden can be found in a house right in the middle of town. From the Poke Center, look for the small house to the right of it and go inside. Talk to the NPC there, and you’ll automatically hand over the Gold Teeth to him.

With the Gold Teeth, the Warden will be able to speak again, and he’ll reward you with the Strong Push Secret Technique. This allows you to push large grey boulders out of the way, giving you access to new pathways. It’s also one of the Secret Techniques required to get through Victory Road so you can fight the Elite Four at Indigo Plateau.

Even though the Safari Zone is no longer in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee, you can still access the GO Park and transfer creatures from your Pokemon GO account there.

That’s all you need to know about how to get and use the Gold Teeth in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee . Be sure to check our Pokemon Let’s Go guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.

10 Big Changes from Pokemon Yellow to Pokemon: Let's Go

Not all of kanto is exactly as you remember it..

Alex Osborn

It’s been 20 years since the launch of Pokemon Yellow in Japan, and in that time the creature-collecting franchise has evolved quite a bit. Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu and Let’s Go, Eevee revisit the enhanced, Pikachu-focused take on Pokemon Red and Blue, and while Game Freak’s remake is largely faithful to the Game Boy classic, not everything's the same.

Here are 10 big changes from Pokemon Yellow to Pokemon: Let’s Go.

Pokemon Go Park

Much of Kanto in Let’s Go is a spruced up version of what you remember from Pokemon Yellow, but fans will spot several changes to the overworld—some big and others small. Most noteworthy is the Safari Zone north of Fuchsia City , which is no longer an explorable area where you can capture Pokemon. In Let’s Go, it’s essentially an entryway to Pokemon Go Park , an entirely new area where you can import your creatures from Pokemon Go.

No Gambling

Like the Safari Zone , the Rocket Game Corner has been significantly stripped down. In Let’s Go, all of the slot machines have been replaced by arcade cabinets you can’t interact with, which means there's no Coin Case and no gambling your way to earning a Porygon . That Pokemon can be obtained through a different means.

Pokemon in Different Locations

In addition to Porygon being in a different location, there’s also no Eevee to be found in the Celadon Condos . In fact, a number of creatures that you could only obtain once by speaking to a specific NPC in Yellow can now be found in the wild. While yes, you can still get a Bulbasaur , Charmander , and Squirtle in the same way that you find them in Pokemon Yellow, you can also find them roaming the Kanto wilderness.

Ride Pokemon

Remember the bike shop owner in Cerulean City? He’s now a bike maniac who won’t sell you a bike. That’s right, you can’t ride a bike in Pokemon: Let’s Go—but don’t worry, it’s been replaced by something arguably better. Now you can select any Pokemon from your party to follow you outside its Pokeball, and if it’s a rideable Pokemon, you can hop on and traverse Kanto by land, sea, or air in some fast, fun, and charming ways.

Secret Techniques

A popular change introduced in Sun and Moon is also featured in Pokemon: Let’s Go but in a slightly different form. That’s right, we’re talking about the removal of HMs. However, instead of using Poke Ride, like in Sun and Moon, your Pikachu or Eevee will learn various Secret Techniques throughout the course of your adventure that effectively replace Fly, Surf, Flash, Cut, and Strength.

Gary, the cocky grandson of Professor Oak, is not your rival in Pokemon: Let’s Go. Instead, the character who will challenge you throughout your journey is a kind and humble childhood friend. Instead of popping up to talk smack and give you a hard time, your rival will support you and even give you a few helpful items throughout your quest. However, that isn’t to say some classic characters from the original games don’t appear during your journey across Kanto as well.

No More Random Battles

Perhaps the most significant change in Pokemon: Let’s Go is the absence of random battles. Instead, Pokemon are seen roaming the overworld, and when your character comes in contact with one, you enter a catching sequence akin to Pokemon Go. While there are still plenty of trainer battles with traditional turn-based style gameplay where you can level up your Pokemon, your party will also gain experience when you successfully capture Pokemon.

Gym Entry Requirements

Unlike in Pokemon Yellow, and every prior Pokemon game, i n order to challenge a gym in Pokemon: Let’s Go, you must meet a specific requirement . These requirements vary. For example, you may need to have a Pokemon of a specific type or one that has reached a certain level. A few gyms require rather unique requirements, which we won’t spoil for you here.

No Pokemon PC

Pokemon researcher Bill is still in Let’s Go, but his PC storage system, which has been a staple in all the core Pokemon games, is nowhere to be found in Pokemon: Let’s Go. Instead, you have a Pokemon box in your inventory that can be accessed whenever you aren’t in battle. While it makes things extremely convenient, having the ability to swap out Pokemon that have fainted or are low on HP/PP without having to visit a Pokemon Center lowers the difficulty considerably.

As I've seen, we can only watch our Pokémon in the GO Park. The Safari Zone was replaced by the Go Park, if you play Pokémon Go you can send Kanto mons straight to Go Park and catch them there, or leave them there to play.
