We booked two parking spots for the location in Palm Springs. Ten of us were supposed to be shuttled to the airport on Monday, July 15; however, we received notification the day before that a taxi would be transporting us. Since we had four kids between 11-3, we had my husband and son-in-law drop us off at the airport and go park the cars. When they got to the location @ 4777 E Ramon Rd (near the I-10 fwy), it did not look like an airport parking lot, but a private business, which did not look open. They were hesitant to leave the cars. I called company and confirmed that was the location. Yellow taxi cab had to be routed to them after cars were dropped off. Since I made the reservation for 11:00 am, and it was 10:30 am as (we had arrived early), taxi would not come until 11:00 am. My husband and son-in-law had to wait in 110 degree weather until after 11:00 am. When we returned on Friday, July 19, I called taxi service as we were going down the escalator to baggage claim. Waited on hold for ten minutes. Finally told taxi would pick them up at airport. Twenty minutes later and still no taxi. I called again. Driver finally called me. Company sent him to parking lot rather than to airport, so we had to wait another 15 minutes. It was $12 a day vs. $20 a day at airport, but we would have paid the $20 and be more convenient and confident with the security of our vehicles. Not impressed and would not use again.

Parked at Embassy Suites to fly from RDU for my Baby Brother’s Funeral. Check in was fine, provided ALL my vehicle info to hotel staff & off I went. Got a call 2am from police that my vehicle had been broken in to and that it was raining. Called the hotel to ask if they could at least cover my window & the night auditor was horribly rude and short, demanding my vehicle info. After providing it I asked what happened to the info provided on check in. She yelled that all she had was my license number and when I tried explaining my situation she hung up on me. Thankfully someone did cover my window. Oh and I haven’t heard a peep from the parking company. Definitely not worth the “30% savings” to be in an unsecured lot or to be so poorly treated by hotel staff.

If you fly out of Palm🌴 Springs Airport (PSP) and need to park for 🚙 the duration of your trip, THIS is the place... for personal long term parking. It's because of the man who works there & shuttles to and picks you up from the airport. His name is Blake & he is exemplory! I just discovered the airport after being frustrated by early flights & parking with no shuttle before 6am. When you do a long term parking company it's usually a hotel using their shuttle. We live e equidistant from both Ontario Airport & Palm Springs Airport. I'm thrilled to have flown twice first by myself & then I'm April. Have a broken wrist but wanted to tell ppl if you fly outta Palm 🌴 Springs parking access uses 4777 Ramon parking lot and Blake the attendant & shuttle service is always where you need him & there to pick you up upon return. Blake is an absolute delight!!!! Make sure you tip him, cause he the bomb! Imo, it's the people you have working for you that IS the DIFFERENCE! ❤️Blake💯 because he cares. I'm a senior & he is so great with everything! Use them if you need to park a minute from airport.

These days, there are many alternatives to airport parking including public transportation, dedicated airport shuttles, taxis, and rideshares like Uber and Lyft, or simply having friends or family give you a ride. However, there are plenty of situations when leaving your car at an airport lot is your best solution. In that case, here are a few dedicated search engines that were designed to help you find the best possible deal on your airport parking bill.

CheapAirportParking

One of the most logical places to begin is a site called CheapAirportParking  because that is exactly what we’re looking for. CheapAirportParking is a repository of the best long term parking solutions for each of the major US airports, and its interface allows you to filter through your ideal parking conditions at each specific location.

Simply use the search engine and select your airport, and then CheapAirportParking delivers a list of potential lots with the total and daily cost breakdown. You can look at the location on a map, read reviews, view any available photos, and reserve a spot directly through the site.

One of the things I like about this platform is that they host a well-stocked collection of parking lots, but they’re picky about making sure an adequate amount of security is available. Also, they include nearby hotel parking lots in the collection so that customers have that added option because sometimes, they’re quite a bit cheaper than the airport lots.

Travel Supermarket

Travel Supermarket  is another UK-based travel search engine platform that also offers a variety of search-and-book services aside from airport parking. Similar to Parking4Less, Travel Supermarket offers a comprehensive collection of On-airport parking, Off-airport Park and Ride parking, and Meet & Greet or Valet parking.

Valet Parking

You can search directly for lots at a specific airport, or for Airport hotels that include parking. Additionally, you can look for airport lounge packages as well as VIP Fast Track  passes that will allow you to zip straight through security. Note that such passes are only available at certain airports, and conditions may apply.

Apart from parking and airport services, Travel Supermarket is a great search engine to use for your entire holiday. Choose your UK departure airport and select any destination and date; Travel Supermarket will pull the latest deals, packages, flights, hotels, and car hire. If you’re looking for a platform to plan your entire journey, this is a perfect place to start!

If you’re based in the US and looking for a no-frills, minimalist search engine for airport parking, Way  is what you need. Based in California, Way is a location-specific search engine that offers deals on parking, movies, dining, and activities. However, if you’re just looking for airport parking, simply enter an address or select an airport code from the provided list.

Way will then display all of the parking options in their repository including daily rates, map view, reviews, distance to the airport, and whether or not the location includes a courtesy shuttle to the airport. One of the things I like about Way is that while you’re searching for airport parking, Way will also pull up convenient parking spots downtown, as well as lots near popular venues. This could be useful if you’re planning to stop downtown before heading to the airport!

Airport Parking Reservations

For a platform dedicated to finding you the best deals on exclusively airport parking and hotels in the US and Canada, check out Airport Parking Reservations . This site is similar to CheapAirportParking in terms of their commitment to safety and security, which is always a major plus. But if reviews make or break your decision to book through a certain site, Airport Parking Reservations may just come out on top. The platform has 600,000+ customer reviews for prospective customers to peruse before booking.

Similar to the search engines, simply enter your airport code and travel dates to find parking options. You’ll have the choice between airport parking only, or a hotel and parking package. Airport Parking Reservations also has the option to select a cruise port, so if you’re headed out to sea, you can also search for parking options before you embark. Parking4Less

If you’re flying from Heathrow or any other major airport in the UK or Ireland, Parking4Less  is your best bet for finding not only cheap parking but also hotels and airport lounge access during your trip. Founded in 2001, Parking4Less is a third-party, nonpartial search engine that has serviced hundreds of thousands of bookings and saved customers heaps of cash.

Parking4Less offers three types of airport parking : Off-airport, On-airport, and Meet & Greet. Off-airport parking includes lots that are a bit farther from the airport, and a space must be booked in advance. A courtesy shuttle is offered to get you to the airport from the lot. On-airport parking is more convenient location-wise, but it’s often a bit more expensive than Off-airport.

You do not have to book On-airport parking in advance, but it’s usually cheaper to book online or by phone. Meet & Greet parking is the most convenient option because you will meet a driver at the departure terminal or short-term lot who will take over from there.

Through Parking4Less, you can also book an airport hotel  that includes airport parking. Additionally, in order to make your airport experience a bit more luxurious, you can search and compare airport lounge  packages through Parking4Less. This platform has you covered for every parking, airport, and hotel need that arises.

Airport Park and Ride

Similar to Parking4Less, Airport Park and Ride  is a UK-based parking agency but instead of handling multiple facets of your holiday, Airport Park and Ride focuses solely on parking. As they are primarily a parking agency, they handle and manage parking lots of their own across the UK and keep a repository of other reputable partner lots. This way, you can search and compare parking across several airports in the UK.

Simply enter your airport and travel dates to compare the available lots. You’ll have the opportunity to compare by price, distance, security, hours of operation, and whether you’d prefer a Meet & Greet service or Park and Ride lot, as available. I like that Airport Park and Ride provides extensive information on each lot so that you can make the most informed, safe decision for you and your vehicle. Once you have decided, it’s easy to book your spot online.

Airport Parking

  For hunting down airport parking, simply check out Airport Parking , of course! This simple search engine allows customers to search and compare parking options near 92 major US and Canadian airports. Once the available parking lots are found, you can filter the search by indoor, outdoor, valet, etc.

Once you select a parking lot, you’ll pay a small reservation fee to lock in your booking, as well as the discounted pre-paid rate for parking. Then, Airport Parking sends the reservation to the parking lot and you’ll be all set. On your departure date, all you’ll need to do is show up with your confirmation, park, ride, and fly. While it can be a major bummer to have to spend money on airport parking, it’s sometimes unavoidable so it’s good to know what your options are before showing up at the lot the day of your trip.

Also, remember that there are several credit cards out there that are built for travelers, and one of the ultimate reigning champs is (still) the Chase Sapphire Reserve® . While this card comes with a hefty annual fee (that went up this year) the annual fee is offset by a nice $300 annual travel credit. As airport parking falls under the “travel purchase” category, you could repurpose your travel credit to go towards offsetting (or covering) your airport parking. Not bad.

A irport parking is not only an inconvenience, but an added expense to any trip. Due to its necessity for many, travellers are often left at the mercy of airports when it comes to parking costs. And that  is a serious bummer!

If you think there's no way to slash this aspect of your trip, think again. Here's how to find cheap airport parking, and snatch those travel dollars back!

1. Find a hotel that provides long-term parking

Airport hotels can offer better long-term parking rates than parking lots,  plus  include a one-night stay. But how to find cheap airport parking that includes a hotel too?

Park Sleep Fly is a special search engine that rounds up hotels that provide parking with a 1-night stay. Simply enter how long you need to park your car (e.g. days, weeks, a month), and the site will list options and prices.

2. Find a nearby parking lot

Airport Parking Reservations  and  Way.com are broad search engines that search across a variety of airport parking lots and hotels to find you the cheapest possible rate on airport parking. They each have different selections, so be sure to compare both. Each parking listing has real user reviews and photos, and clearly lists amenities such as shuttle service and on-site security. Confirmation is immediate upon booking, so you can drive straight to the lot. Just keep in mind the proximity to the airport itself, especially if you have excessive luggage (ideally, drop it off first!).

Do not use this company! It is running a scam, taking payments from customers but not passing the bookings or payments on to the actual car park operators. I arrived at the Wythenshawe multi-story to be told that I had no reservation and had to pay again. There were two other Trusted Travel 'customers' in the same boat. The only means of contacting the company is by email and you get no response. My credit card company has, thankfully, reimbursed my payment. There must be hundreds, if not thousands of people being scammed by Trusted Travel Ltd. Any positive comments on this review site are probably fake.

Not trusted travel

We booked with these in Manchester and when we arrived we found it was a different company! They looked at the booking reference and said yep these guys don’t exist but you can pay us to park not sure if it’s a scam and they make you pay twice knowing you’re desperate or the new guys have took over mad are genuine. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Utterly disgraceful service. Booked parking in July for a long-haul flight in October 2023. Booking for airport parking went through for £90. We were given directions to a pub! Basically the airport parking was non-existent and we had to pay a further £220 to park our car for the trip. We were just lucky to find another parking operator so near to where we were. They had never heard of the operator in their 10 years (Four Points Parking). Obviously a scam as Trusted Travel have not responded to my email from 2 weeks ago, despite a routine reply, and their website has miraculously disappeared. There is nothing to be 'trusted' about these charlatans. A quick look into the company online shows a Mr Peter Oliver Brooks as the company director.

Booked via website for newcastle Airport. On return from our holiday put the parking ticket into the machine barrier would not open and was asking for £124. The parking attendant was very helpful showed me the booking on the computer which had been cancelled by trusted travel, we had to pay so we could get home. I had emailed many times attaching confirmation but no reply. I got the address from the web site and sent a letter to be signed for my letter has been returned as they are no longer at that address. This veteran will never use again or refer to anyone else

Very nice and friendly when leaving the car and departing but the arrival was a different story! Made us wait over an hour to pick us up before hearing the guy in the background on the phone say “just tell them to get a damn taxi”, which we subsequently did and then just threw £10 in my face and my keys when I got there with a “see ya later!” And off he went before I could even tell him the taxi was £15…the car park was only 7mins drive away and waited nearly hour and half! WARNING DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

WARNING DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! we recently booked airport car parking at Manchester Airport with so called "Trusted" Travel and had various email confirmations from them. When we arrived at the car park reception we were informed that "Trusted" Travel had withdrawn its contract with the car park and the booking was invalid, so we had to pay an extra £66 to park there. Despite several emails to claim our refund, we have not heard anything from "Trusted" Travel and from previous reviews I don't expect that we will hear back from them. I am in the process of finding other ways to reclaim our money. This appears to be a company that is the complete opposite of its name. BEWARE!!

If you have booked with these agents contact the end company ASAP

Went on holiday for 2 weeks, arrived back 21.30 last night and as outlined in the booking confirmation phoned the company, Park Inn, who had our car to tell them we had landed after 13 hours in transit. We were then told the agent, Trusted Travel, had not passed on the funds that we had paid them and in fact owed them over £20k in bookings and needed us to pay directly then claim the money back. These guys have still been taking bookings up until the last 2 weeks even though they haven't paid their bills in weeks. All providers seem to have taken themselves off their site now however. Disgusting business practise that will have stressed out and cost a lot of people more money than budgeted. Thankfully paid using a credit card and have been able to claim the money back successfully today.

Do not use this company! Paid for car parking at Liverpool Airport. Had Terrible issues trying to get hold of them to amend the booking which should have been a red flag but they clearly seen my emails and adjusted the drop off time as requested. However, what they failed to tell us was that our booking was not valid! They have taken our money and not actually booked the parking. We arrived today to be told that they no longer accept bookings from trusted travel as they owe them £££. We've had to pay again directly.

AVOID AT ALL COST

Booked in 2 cars, booking states free cancellation, when we tried to cancel booking online it says we couldn’t and we had to contact customer service. Many attempts to email support with only 2 responses from several emails sent. They responded to say they had cancelled our booking and refunded, 3 weeks later still no refund and the latest and last response was “I am sorry I am waiting for the finance team to sort this issue for you, I personally have no access to the bank” this was a week ago and I’ve had no response since. Took my money, but that’s all they did!

Pre booked car parking at Newcastle, and on arrival was told that Trusted Travel had cancelled the booking. Had to find alternative, expensive parking at obviously short notice. TT had taken payment weeks beforehand, but have not refunded me or even contacted me to tell me why they cancelled the booking. I shall be pursuing this further.

Awful experience

I arrived at the car park where I had booked with trusted travel for airport parking, to only be told that they don’t accept this company anymore due to the car park not being paid for 3 months by the company, I then had to pay additional parking to keep my car in the car park, I tried contacting trusted travel to see what was happening and I received no response. All I want is my money back and I am totally in the dark. DO NOT USE!

DO NOT USE, SCAM. I booked after seeing good overall reviews however, was refused my space 3 hours before my flight because the 3rd party parking they use are refusing Trusted Travel bookings due to contract breaches. I had already paid and had to find last minute parking. No contact number and the email service took days to respond. Very poor customer service and they said they will issue a refund in 7-10 working days which was over 3 weeks ago. Lots of similar reviews recently.

Paid for airport parking at East Midlands, then the day before I had a message from the parking company direct to tell me it had been cancelled due to Trusted Travel scamming customers and not forwarding on the funds! Criminal Car parking companies.

As with other reviews we booked through Trusted travel when we arrived at Manchester, care parks informed us that they would not honour our booking. We then had no choice but to pay again which was more than we originally paid. Both care parks and trusted travel are responsible they allowed them to be there agents in the first place. After our holiday we couldn't contact anyone even the banks are no help. people are sick of being screwed over by these criminals. Care parks are as culpable as trusted travel in this, they knew we had no choice but to pay again because we had a plane to catch. both companies are a disgrace. 0 stars.

Arrived in Manchester’s Toad parking location, ready for a break to Spain to be faced with the horror that there was no parking reservation! The lady behind the desk at Toad Parking was empathetic and explained that Opitech, a part of Trusted Travel had ceased trading in October. We’d had no notification of this and had to pay again to park the car. Goodness knows what we’d have done in the height of summer!!! I emailed opitech and have had no response. Money is hard earned and this set of crooks should be ashamed. AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE 😡

Just contacted MBW Parking who Trusted Travel have booked our parking with and got this reply: Booking Ref:TTNL27D8 Dear Sir, I have had a phone call with Mr Law informing him that we are no longer honoring any Trusted Travel bookings. Due to unforeseen circumstances your future Heathrow parking booked via Trusted Travel has been cancelled by MBW Parking. MBW Parking have had to terminate its commercial relationship with Trusted Travel (The Company you paid and made the booking with). Whilst we appreciate this is s not ideal with travel planned in the near future we have had to these steps to protect our company and customers.

No Customer service

Booked 5 weeks before our holiday, then 24 hours before the flight received an email to say there were not enough parking spaces. Tried calling them several times but never pick up. Emailed them and received an auto response that they would try and contact us within 48hrs. What use is that.

Ukraine war latest: Vladimir Putin 'has made decision' on responding to Kursk invasion

Vladimir Putin has "made a decision" and there will be "severe punishment" following Ukraine's incursion into Russia, according to the Russian ambassador to the US. Elsewhere, Russia has been forced to suspend a ferry service to Crimea following a Ukrainian attack.

Russia has reportedly reinforced troops in its push for the key Ukrainian strategic hub of Pokrovsk in the eastern Donetsk region.

Although Moscow has been redeploying troops from other regions in Ukraine back to Russia in order to head off a Ukrainian incursion, it has not redeployed troops from its offensive towards the city but has instead reinforced them, according to The Economist.

Russian forces have been pushing towards the key strategic hub for months.

Capturing the city would compromise Kyiv's defensive abilities and supply routes, and bring Russia closer to its stated aim of controlling the entire Donetsk region.

Earlier, our military analyst Sean Bell answered a reader's question on whether there is a response to come from Russia over the Kursk invasion - and he said Moscow might focus on its offensive towards Pokrovsk.

We brought you reports earlier that prisoners at a Russian penal colony had taken prison staff hostage and killed one person. 

Local news outlets now say snipers from Russia's national guard have killed the four hostage-takers.

The National Guard Service said the inmates were "neutralised" and all hostages freed, the reports said, though the number of hostages was not specified.

Before the inmates were shot, state news agency TASS said four victims were taken to a local hospital, with two of them in serious condition.

Unconfirmed reports on the Telegram messaging app said one or two people had died.

A video filmed by the attackers showed four uniformed officials lying in pools of blood - three of them motionless. Another was sitting upright in a doorway with a knife held to his neck.

One man shouted that they were Islamic State militants and had seized control of the prison in the Volgograd region.

Other videos showed four men pacing about a prison yard where a bloodied prison staff member was being held hostage.

One of the prisoners appeared to have an improvised explosive vest while the others were carrying knives and hammers.

Russian media said the four suspects were citizens of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan and three were in jail for drug offences and the fourth for unpremeditated murder.

The United States has added 105 Russian and Chinese firms to a trade restriction list for allegedly supporting the Russian military, ramping up pressure on Moscow's war efforts in Ukraine.

The 63 Russian and 42 Chinese companies, along with 18 from other countries, were targeted for several reasons, from sending US electronics to Russian military-related parties to producing thousands of Shahed-136 drones for Moscow to use in Ukraine.

Being added to the entity list means US suppliers will have to apply for a hard-to-get licence if they want to ship to the targeted companies.

Many of the firms were also given a special designation forcing overseas suppliers to get the same US licences before shipping to the targeted companies.

Russia has accused Ukraine of trying to attack a nuclear power plant in an overnight drone attack.

It is the second time Moscow has made such allegations in two days.

The nuclear plant is located in the Kursk region in western Russia, where fighting has raged since Kyiv's forces launched an incursion into Russian territory.

The Ukrainian defence ministry is yet to comment on the Russian allegation.

Meanwhile the Russian defence ministry said its air defence units had shot down three Ukrainian drones in the region overnight. 

It said it had thwarted Kyiv's attempt to carry out "a terrorist attack" against Russian facilities.

Russian state news agency TASS reported a drone had been shot down near a storage facility for spent nuclear fuel at the Kursk power plant.

TASS quoted Russian foreign ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova as saying it was an "act of nuclear terrorism" requiring an immediate response from the UN nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

The head of the IAEA Rafael Grossi is due to visit the power plant next week and has appealed for maximum restraint in order to avoid a nuclear accident.

The Wagner mercenary group has become "increasingly fragmented" in the year since its leader Yevgeny Prigozhin and founder Dmitry Utkin were killed in a plane crash, the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) has said.

"In comparison to its peak personnel count of around 50,000 in 2023, Wagner now highly likely maintains around 5,000 total personnel across its residual deployments in Belarus and Africa," the MoD said in its latest update.

Prigozhin and Utkin were among 10 killed when their plane crashed north of Moscow one year ago today under mysterious circumstances.

It came two months to the day after the Wagner boss led a short-lived mutiny against Russia's military top brass, mounting the most serious challenge against Vladimir Putin since he came to power in 1999.

The Wagner group was formed of ex-convicts and mercenaries and played a key role on the battlefield in Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

It has also been active in conflicts in Syria, the Central African Republic, Sudan and Libya.

The MoD also shared a map of the latest battlefield situation in eastern Ukraine:

Germany is investigating suspected drone espionage after drones were flown over several industrial sites.

Yesterday prosecutors said they had opened an investigation into repeated drone flights over critical infrastructure in northern Germany which they said were suspected of spying for sabotage purposes.

The German military's Territorial Command said it had complied with a police request to provide radar data on the suspicious drone flights.

German chemicals group Covestro and Swiss cement maker Holcim are among a group of chemical, energy and logistics companies that have operations in the ChemCoast Park industrial area in Brunsbuttel, in the northern state of Schleswig-Holstein.

Yesterday German newspaper Bild cited state criminal police saying the drones were likely to have been Russian Orlan-10s, which have a range of 500-600km (310-372 miles) and can fly at over 62mph (100kph).

Germany has been one of Ukraine's biggest suppliers of military aid since Russia invaded in 2022 and has been on increased alert over sabotage activity.

Narendra Modi has urged Volodymyr Zelenskyy to sit down for talks with Russia to end the war.

The Indian prime minister told the Ukrainian president he would act as a "friend" to help bring peace, as the two leaders met in Kyiv.

Mr Modi said he had come to the Ukrainian capital with a message of peace.

"The road to resolution can only be found through dialogue and diplomacy, and we should move in that direction without wasting any time. Both sides should sit together to find a way out of this crisis," Mr Modi said.

"I want to assure you that India is ready to play an active role in any efforts towards peace. If I can play any role in this personally, I will do that. I want to assure you as a friend."

Mr Modi said India had not been neutral or a bystander during the conflict and was always on the side of peace.

New Delhi has so far avoided condemning Russia's invasion and Mr Zelenskyy previously criticised Mr Modi for his visit to Moscow in July, chiding him for hugging Vladimir Putin during their meeting.

Should the fact that there has been no direct response from Putin militarily regarding the Ukraine incursion into Russia signal a larger more catastrophic response to come from Russia? Or is this just "how they're playing it"?

Military analyst Sean Bell  answers:

When Ukraine first launched its audacious incursion into Russian territory over a fortnight ago, some commentators were concerned that the attack would provoke a swift and ruthless response from Vladimir Putin.  However, over a fortnight into Ukraine's military operation, it now appears that Russia has struggled to develop a coherent response, and Ukraine maintains the initiative.

The Ukrainian operation appears to have been well planned, and Ukraine has capitalised on its initial success by reinforcing its forces and pushing deeper into Russia.  Although Ukraine has not declared the objectives of this dynamic operation, it appears that Volodymyr Zelenskyy  was seeking to seize the initiative, bolster Ukrainian morale, and provoke a military response from Russia that would relieve pressure on an embattled Ukrainian frontline in the Donbas.   

Mr Putin was clearly frustrated at the Ukrainian incursion, but a ruthless Russian military response was only one option. Ukraine is short of military capability - soldiers and weapons - and it appears that they have deployed up to 10,000 soldiers (probably battle-hardened) into Russian territory. This "fixes" these Ukrainian forces well away from the frontline Russian action in the Donbas. 

Mr Putin knows that progress on the frontline will slow when winter arrives, so his forces have perhaps 10 to 12 weeks remaining to achieve the objectives of his so-called Special Military Operation. By focusing on Russian main effort in the Donbas, Mr Putin knows that Ukraine has diluted the forces available to resist the Russian assault towards Pokrovsk, which might enable greater progress in the limited time available.   

Once Russia's objectives in the Donbas have been achieved, Mr Putin might consider that he can address the Kursk incursion in slower time.
