Volbeat are a Danish metal band that was formed in Copenhagen, Denmark. Their music style is a combination of rock and roll and heavy metal.

The current line up consists of vocalist and guitarist Michael Poulsen, bassist Anders Kjølholm, Jon Larsen on drums and Rob Caggiano, also on guitar. Poulsen formed the band after becoming disillusioned with the current death metal music scene. Their first album, released in 2005, was entitled ‘The Strength/The Sound/The Songs’ and was a huge success in their home country of Denmark, reaching number 18 on the country’s charts. Following this, the band produced four more albums, switched record labels and lost and gained members on their journey to success. The band is currently signed to Dutch label Mascot Records and has released five albums to date, to great success. All five of these albums are gold certified in Denmark.

Volbeat cite their musical inspirations as coming from a variety of sources, from classic rock and roll artists such as Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash, to modern hard rock, heavy metal, alternative rock and hard core groups. Some of Volbeat’s greatest songs include ‘Still Counting’, ‘A Warrior’s Call’, ‘Sad Man’s Tongue’ and ‘Lola Montez’. The band has played with artists such as Metallica and Nightwish and enjoyed several world tours. They have also performed at several high profile festivals, including the UK’s Download festival.

Live reviews

Volbeat put on an amazing show at Rock AM Ring 2013. Fresh off of their latest release, Outlaw gentlemen & Shady ladies, Volbeat ripped through a brilliant 70 plus minute set, featuring several songs from their outstanding new release. Highlights include the outstanding 'The hangmans body count', Pearl Hart and Dead but Rising.

Volbeat played in front of an huge festival crowd that was eager and energetic throughout the show, which took place under sunny skies. Other Highlights of the show included a staple of their live set, 'Guitar Gangster and Cadillac Blood' , along with a very nice mix of cover songs ranging from Johnny Cash's Ring of fire, to Judas Priests Breaking the law to Slayers Regin in blood to Ramsteins Keine Lust.

Vocalist and rhythm guitar player Micheal Poulsen's biggest musical influence was Mr. Johnny Cash. All in all, the band ripped through 18 tracks without mercy, showing unrelenting energy and enthusiasm throughout. Volbeat is one of the best live acts you can see, and watching them play fills one with a sense of pleasure and freedom, allowing the listener to get lost in the music and brilliant performance. Volbeat was, without a doubt, one of the major high points of the Rock Am Ring festival of 2013.

The opening band for the night was Black Wizard. A Canadian four piece band with long hair and a big sound. They were a good start for the night.

Killswitch Engage played next and had an epic set! I had not seen them live before and I enjoyed the experience. Their set was full of all their well known songs from 'My curse' to the new 'Hate by design'.

Volbeat followed opening with a tribute to Lemmy, playing the beginning of 'born to raise hell' over the speakers, then coming out to begin the concert playing 'The devils bleeding crown' to the crowds approval. The rest night was slightly marred by technical difficulties when Mr. Poulsens head set wouldn't work correctly. He soldiered on playing a solid set! I had seen them before and liked the added mikes on the staging so the band could move around more.

The venue was good and the show well attended. The staff was efficient and polite. The VIP area was a bit disappointing so I spent most of the concert out and about.

I normally do not write reviews for concerts, but I feel obligated on this occasion. Last night's show was the worst I've ever seen. I left after two or three songs as it was awful. The crowd that stayed seemed to enjoy the band once they started their show. However, I don't understand their appeal.

I have been to many metal shows - probably 15 in the last three years. Volbeat is NOT a metal band. I don't know what the hell they are. It sounded like I was listening to a bad alternative radio station live and in person. I was not alone. Scores of fans were walking out of the show early into their set.

I go to metal shows to support bands that don't necessarily get the accolades and fame of a mainstream artist. In my humble opinion, Volbeat is everything that is wrong with music today. I will never attend any future concerts if they are on the bill.

Thanks for a super concert and an unforgettable day/night in Parken, Copenhagen....

Was it my daughter or was it the two old parents who had been looking the most forward, to yet another concert with VOLBEAT.

We were lucky enough to come backstage and see everything from the “other side”

That also included a Meet & Greet and off course a super fantastic concert delivered by VOLBEAT and not to forget the guest appearances from Johan Olsen, Barney Greenway, Danko Jones, Lars Ulrich and more…

But it was still not quite enough for our daughter. ... She ended up on stage together with other lucky little ones in the last number - Still Counting - This to a huge roar from almost 50.000 people.

In short terms – It can’t get much better. THANKS for everything.

We look forward to seeing you again.

Got to the show as Avatar was just finished up playing. Volbeat took to the stage and it was all over then..so I thought. Volbeat ROCKED the house with "The Devil's Bleeding Crown" and played the songs from "Above Heaven/Beyond Hell". It was just like listening to the album as everything was note for note, timing was perfect, couldn't distinguish between the album and performance. Volbeat rocked the house for 45 minutes and ended with "Still Counting". Not alot of nonsensical talking but serious rocking, if you missed it YOU really missed it.It was amazing to hear how many people were singing along at the same time with the music. This show will be etched into my mind forever, I waited awhile to see them again, and I hope they will be back around sooner than later. Like I said, if you missed the show, you missed an awesome performance!

This was my first Volbeat concert and I simply wished to hear some of my favorite songs. It turned out to be such a fantastic show it left me in awe long time after it ended.

I must say it was also the first concert that I went to where in my opinion the levels of sound of each instrument and vocals were configured perfectly. Each instrument was really being heard loud and clear. Suddenly at some point during the concert millions of confetti (white and red) were shot in the air and rained on people. Later on huge balloons were thrown toward audience and made an interesting effect bouncing all over the place. I should also mention the stage that seemed to be made of screens displaying animations adequate to the songs being played. All in all great experience. Would go see Volbeat again.

What can I say about my FAVORITE band of all time. No words. My very first VOLBEAT concert and it was AWESOME!! The sound and vocals were amazing. Overall, performance a perfect '10'. I was not disappointed at all. The topper would have been a meet/greet with the band. Now that would have been a dream come true! I love Michael's voice and all the songs. I became a VOLBEAT fan 5 years ago, while listening to the local rock station, one of their songs was played. I was hooked, line and sinker. Bought all their albums and researched the band and fell in love.

Thanks VOLBEAT for a memorable night!

(Maybe next concert I can get a meet/greet with Michael)

I am 48 years old & I've seen a lot of great bands put on some really great shows. I love all types of music from M.Haggard to Pantara even some of the older Rap but Volbeat is by far the best live show I have EVER SEEN. They became my favorite band about 3 years ago & I've seen them live twice so far and will see them every chance I get. My wife hates metal but after going with me to see Volbeat my second time in OKC she absolutely fell in love with their music & Michael Poulsen. We are both die hard VOLBEAT FANS FOR LIFE!!! Can't wait to see them again. Really hopeing to get to meet the guys next time. Volbeat are a must see if you haven't already.

Great show overall. It was my first time in this location and my first time volbeat.

Danko Jones did a great job as opener. I have seen them before. I like them a lot because you can feel the enjoyment they have performing.

Baroness came second, and they sounded great. Haven't heard them before, so I didn't know what to expect. I liked thier style and sound, but they seemed a bit too 'slow' to really fit in this lineup. But great anyways!

Then there was Volbeat, and the crowd got insane. The sound was great, everybody - from the band, to the crowd - had a blast!

Thank you for this great evening :)

About Ghost:

GRAMMY Award winning Swedish Rock band Ghost have elevated themselves to one of the most esteemed and celebrated rock bands in the world today. Three consecutive #1 Active Rock radio singles, debuting at #1 (Rock) + #3 (Top 200) on the Billboard album charts, accumulating well over a Billion streams, headlining arena tours (including sold out shows at The Forum LA + Barclays Center NYC), opening stadium shows for Metallica, and gracing magazine covers and television screens the world over are just part of their story. The band’s passionate fan base and critical praise also stems from their ability to constantly be pushing their creative boundaries. Their most recent album  Prequelle,  is loosely based on The Black Plague of 14th century Europe, a metaphor that sadly became a premonition that applies to the societal ills of our times.  Though the band’s music at times has dark lyrical content, it never loses it’s catchy Rock edge.  A nationwide US arena tour (Winter 2022) surely is only the start of what may be Ghost’s biggest year yet!

About Volbeat:

Since forming in 2001, Volbeat has gone from the clubs of Copenhagen to headlining stages around the world, including the famed Telia Parken stadium in Denmark (becoming the only domestic artist to ever sell out the venue). Over the course of seven record-breaking albums the band has picked up number one songs (including nine #1s on the US Mainstream Rock chart and counting, the most of any band based outside of North America), multi-platinum certifications, awards and accolades (including a Grammy nomination) all over the planet. Their latest album,  Rewind, Replay, Rebound , was released on August 2nd, 2019 and has spawned the hit singles “Last Day Under The Sun,” “Die To Live (feat. Neil Fallon)” and “Leviathan.” A live album featuring songs recorded during the subsequent world tour,  Rewind, Replay, Rebound: Live in Deutschland , was released digitally on November 27th, 2020. Most recently, the band shared a “double blast” of brand new songs for the Summer: “ Dagen Før (feat. Stine Bramsen)”  and “ Wait A Minute My Girl .” They also contributed a cover of “ Don’t Tread on Me ” to  The Metallica Blacklist ,  with all proceeds from the track benefiting the All Within My Hands Foundation and the Børne Cancer Fonden of Denmark.

VOLBEAT Is Working On Fourth Song For Upcoming Studio Album

Danish rock and rollers VOLBEAT have commenced the songwriting process for their ninth studio album. The follow-up to 2021's "Servant Of The Mind" is tentatively due in 2025.

Earlier today, VOLBEAT members Michael Poulsen (vocals, guitar), Jon Larsen (drums) and Kaspar Boye Larsen (bass) shared a new video update in which Michael said: "We're together again in the VOLBEAT rehearsal room, working on our fourth new song."

In a caption accompanying the video message, VOLBEAT wrote: "We've been busy writing new music….new album in 2025? #VOLBEAT2025".

Last October, Poulsen underwent a throat surgery. A month earlier, he told "Paltrocast" host Darren Paltrowitz about the procedure: "It's an operation I've been through before. This one is just a little bit bigger and it's gonna take some time to get back in vocal shape. So, VOLBEAT is not playing [in 2024]. I'll use a lot of time to get my voice back after the operation. But at the same time, I will actually be writing a new VOLBEAT album. So hopefully later [in 2024], I can put down the vocals for the next VOLBEAT album. But in the meantime, I will go out and play shows with [my death metal side project] ASINHELL ."

Asked if this means that he might have to change his singing approach to where he will start doing the vocal warmdowns after each show, Michael said: "I do warm up before a show, but there's no way I'm gonna use my voice after a show. I'm very optimistic about the whole thing. As I said, I tried before and I got good people around me. I've got a great coach in Melissa Cross who has been helping out a lot of singers. She will help me out again to get my voice back in shape after the operation. So I like to stay positive, and I'm pretty sure everything's going to be all right."

Back in January 2021, Poulsen told Denmark's BT.dk that he underwent an operation during the coronavirus pandemic to remove a large polyp. He added: "I have managed to retrain my voice so much that there has been time to record a new album," referencing "Servant Of The Mind" , which came out in December 2021.

VOLBEAT parted ways with longtime guitarist Rob Caggiano in June 2023 and replaced him for the band's recent tour with Flemming C. Lund of the Danish extreme metal outfit THE ARCANE ORDER .

VOLBEAT played its first concert with Lund on June 10, 2023 at the Rockfest festival in Hyvinkää, Finland.

Just five days earlier, VOLBEAT announced that it had officially parted ways with Caggiano . No reason was given for the split, but the remaining bandmembers said that they wished their "brother Rob all the best with everything he does in the future." They went on to thank Rob "for ten amazing years."

Caggiano played on VOLBEAT 's last four studio albums: 2013's "Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies" , 2016's "Seal the Deal & Let's Boogie" , 2019's "Rewind, Replay, Rebound" and "Servant Of The Mind" .

ASINHELL 's debut album, "Impii Hora" (Latin for "Ungodly Hour" ),arrived last September via Metal Blade . Poulsen is joined in the project by ex- MORGOTH singer Marc Grewe (also of INSIDIOUS DISEASE ) and RAUNCHY drummer Morten Toft Hansen .

Bruce Springsteen’s 3-Hour-20-Minute Show at L.A.’s Forum Resets the Bar for Epic Bossiness: Concert Review

Bruce Springsteen and Steven Van Zandt at the Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band concert held at the Kia Forum on April 4, 2024 in Los Angeles, California.

But “Wrecking Ball” remains a key moment in his set, not for how sentimental it makes us feel about basketball barns, but for how it makes us feel about us, its true intended subject. Like a lot of the standby songs and commentaries on his 2023 tour and now (following a sick-day pause) the ‘24 outing, this particular standout has to do with his most recurring theme of recent years, live and on record: the thin veil between life and death. In Springsteen’s advanced view of mortality, we’re all dumps-that-jump, in a manner of thinking. And he’s come back from enforced hiatus to throw us the best party, or wake, we could possibly have.

Springsteen hasn’t spoken so much publicly about the condition that took him off the road for six months, and which caused these particular L.A. dates to be postponed for four. But something about his first Forum show Thursday caused him to get a little bit chattier about the malady.

“We’re sorry we missed you last time,” he said during a spoken interlude in the middle of an epic version of “Tenth Avenue Freezeout,” being performed as the show’s penultimate number  after the setlist had already passed the three-hour point. “I hope we didn’t put you out too much. But, man,” he elaborated, “I had the worst motherfucking bellyache you could ever imagine.”

“When I sang, my belly ached,” he said.

“When I did anything, my belly ached,” he continued.

Bruce Springsteen has fire in the belly. Lucky for him and everyone else, it’s back to being a fire that does not consume.

At a length of three hours and 20 minutes, Springsteen’s opening Forum show pretty much set the bar for not gentle into that good Thursday night. Its 200-minute running time was 40 minutes longer than most other sets of his lately, all of which already test and transcend what a guy in his early 70s who recently recovered from illness ought to be pulling off. It’s reductive, though, to focus too much on the running time, which makes it feel like an endurance test or marathon. Yes, every minute added onto a show beyond the tour mean confers some kind of badge of pride on attendees, and it’s great fun to start doing the numbers as a show begins to expand… but the miracle is not just that he endures.

The miracle is that he bobs and weaves with a dynamic setlist that needs that much expansiveness to sufficiently cover multiple moments of sorrow or grief and “Twist and Shout” (should you be so lucky to get that bonus track as a celebration of life, as Thursday’s crowd did).

As fans have already noted during these first few weeks of the 2024 touring resumption, the setlists tend to be only about 75% set in stone. That’s to say, they’re much looser than when the E Street Band hit the road again in 2023, closer to how they used to be in legendary days of yore. For anyone who likes to go to more than one show on a tour, or just for anybody who enjoys knowing they’re in the presence of some free-spiritedness, this flexibility is a godsend.

Given that the surprises each night are added onto the surety of some of the most powerful song sequences he’s ever constructed for a tour, a 2024 Bruce Springsteen show is really something that gives “overstuffed” a good name.

Most of his shows on this show have opened with “Lonesome Day,” which is nearly an overture for the conflicted lyrical feelings that will come up in the emotionally dynamic hours to come. But occasionally he’ll start off with a ringer in advance even of that opener. Thursday, it was a cover of John Lee Hooker’s “Boom Boom,” which ain’t nothing but primal — the blues as filtered through a “Nuggets” sensibility. He hadn’t done this oldie since 2016, which augured well for tour premieres and oddities.

Would an oldie this obscure count among the highlights of a three-hour-plus set that includes an inordinate amount of the best rock songs ever written? On the face of it, no. Or yes, for that segment of fans that lives for the idea of audibles being called.

The biggest surprise of the night: the return of Patti Scialfa, who performed on a few 2023 shows and then disappeared from public view. (“Where’s Patti?” isn’t quite up there with “Where’s Shelly?,” but it still remained a question.) Now we knew, without the FBI being called in: His bride is just living her post-E-Street life, happy to show up for a cameo instead of being tied to a recurring gig. “My baby’s back!,” Springsteen exclaimed, kicking off the first of two numbers the couple performed as a team. The recently rare “Tougher Than the Rest” featured Scialfa leaning in close on their single mic for harmony, followed by “Fire.” That number, Springsteen said, hadn’t been played “in a long time. We did do it on Broadway,” he clarified, but “Patti’s never done it.” By which he possibly meant never performed it as a full-on duet; his wife unexpectedly got the first verse of this ‘70s perennial all to herself. (Patti as a Pointer Sister, to name the group that really made the song famous? Live long enough, and all sorts of things can happen.)

The bones of the set were otherwise mostly intact. “Prove It All Night” follows “Lonesome Day” at the beginning, as a promise. But sometimes it seems like rock ‘n’ roll’s power as an elixir won’t be enough, if you’re reallly following how an underlying narrative develops.

“Ghosts” and “Letter to You,” both from the album of the latter name, overtly introduce the theme of loss, so often returned to. Then the mournful hits keep coming, as pointed segues. “My City of Ruins,” whose “Rise up” chorus barely disguises just how sad it is, goes in for more than 10 minutes, with cheerful chatter, as Bruce introduces the band, followed by bittersweet moments dedicated to the group’s fallen members. That in memoriam segued into a cover of the Commodores’ ‘80s hit “Nightshift,” which pays homage to soul music’s lost ‘60s and ‘70s greats, including Marvin Gaye and Jackie Wilson.

The soul memorial led into “Last Man Standing,” his song about realizing he was the last surviving member of his original band — a song so solemn it’s performed just by Springsteen and a solitary trumpeter, who might as well be playing “Taps.” From there, much of the crowd is relieved to hear Springsteen singing something as light as “Backstreets”… or is it? “Until the end… until the end…,” he sang, drawing one line out into a chant. It’s a “Born to Run”-based suite that has finally, after 49 year, turned into the requiem it was apparently always meant to be.

And then, as this emotionally fraught show drew closer to a close, we got the Three Stooges. That is, during the go-for-broke joy of “Rosalita,” there was a moment when the otherwise stone-faced Little Steven Van Zandt drew close to Springsteen and they indulged in some Larry, Curly and Moe-style face-poking, prodding, mugging and noise-making.

Springsteen has put on a tour that is the most bittersweet show on earth, until it finally settles for being the happiest, and occasionally even goofiest… and then turns heartbreaking again for the final encore. The most abrupt segue might be the final one, when, having climaxed with “Tenth Avenue” and (on this particular night) “Twist and Shout,” he sent the rest of the band off to their sleep while he serenaded the crowd with a completely solo number, “I’ll See You in My Dreams,” boldly sending the audience out thinking again about loved ones they’ve lost, if with a ballad that feels like a comforting lullaby. By the end of the show, he’s kept all these things in balance enough that any of these notes feel like they could be an honest place to land, whether it’s with an Isley Brothers tent revival or a heart-rending ode to creating memories as a means of cheating death.

Given his stage mastery, was it possible Springsteen was moving even himself with this show? It’s probably risky i to parse exactly what emotions a showman this great might be spontaneously feeling. The most deeply emotional moments are deeply baked into the tour. As always, he gave the much-quoted speech about his old friend and bandmate George Theiss’ passing, about the clarity that death brings the living. This should be rote for Springsteen by now, given how little variation he introduces into the homily, as he retells it. Yet his closed eyes looked moist enough as he eulogized his teenaged soulmate once again Thursday night. Honestly, it could also just have been perspiration (even though his face didn’t look that sweaty in the closeups seen on the two big screens for the rest of the show).

Either way, sweat or tears, it was working, like it’s always worked for a few generations now. “You’ll need a good companion for this part of the ride,” Springsteen sang toward the end of the show in “Land of Hope of Dreams,” part of the tumult of climactic numbers. Maybe he didn’t mean that line as an actual rock ‘n’ roll direct-sales pitch at the time he wrote it, but he sure keeps living up to it.

A fractured larynx and vocal cord damage are no joke for a hard-rock singer to recover from. Especially a 76-year-old frontman with a still-big voice, like Steven Tyler .

Nearly a year after Aerosmith put the brakes on a long-gestating farewell tour just a few shows in after Tyler injured his voice during a Sept. 9, 2023 show at a New York arena, the band’s about to be, ahem, back in the saddle.

The “Peace Out Tour” will resume September 20 in Pittsburgh. The 40-date arena tour runs through February 26 in Buffalo and includes a New Year’s Eve show in the band’s hometown of Boston. Complete list of tour dates at aerosmith.com .

Aerosmith’s decades of hits include “Dream On,” “Walk This Way,” “Sweet Emotion,” “Back in the Saddle,” “Janie’s Got A Gun,” “Crazy” and “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing.”

The band features Tyler, guitarists Joe Perry and Brad Whitford and bassist Tom Hamilton.

Unlike many classic rock groups, Aerosmith’s original lineup remained intact through most of their history. However in recent years, original drummer Joey Kramer has been replaced onstage by John Douglas, Kramer’s former drum tech. Buck Johnson , an Alabama native who also tours with Brother Cane and Hollywood Vampires, is Aerosmith’s touring keyboardist/backing vocalist .

Blues-rockers The Black Crowes , known for ‘90s hits like “Jealous Again” and “Remedy,” are the support act for all dates of Aerosmith’s “Peace Out Tour.”

The Black Crowes previously opened for Aerosmith on the Crowes’ first-ever big tour, back in 1990. Led by brothers Chris and Rich Robinson , on vocals and guitar, respectively, Black Crowes recently released “Happiness Bastards,” their first album of all-original songs in 15 years .

Aerosmith’s classic albums include their 1973 self-titled debut, 1975′s “Toys in the Attic,” 1976 release “Rocks,” 1987 comeback LP “Permanent Vacation” and ‘93 mega-seller “Get a Grip.” Aerosmith’s most recent album was “Music from Another Dimension” from 2012.

What did Tucker Carlson say when he introduced Kid Rock in Gonzales? Here's more from the video clip

volbeat tour opening bands

Prior to Kid Rock closing out the second night of the opening weekend of the Rock the Country music festival in Gonzales , commentator Tucker Carlson was revealed as the "huge surprise guest" listed on the festival's flyer.

A video clip of the former Fox News host bringing out Kid Rock, who was the co-headliner with Jason Aldean, has surpassed a million views on X (the social media platform formerly named Twitter) just days after the event.

Ascension Parish's Lamar-Dixon Expo Center was the first stop of the tour, which will travel to small towns throughout the South into the summer months .

The Gonzales event included several music acts, including Hank Williams Jr., Big & Rich featuring Gretchen Wilson and Travis Tritt.

Here's a transcript of Carlson's roughly six-minute speech to the crowd, which festival organizers estimated as 25,000 each day (expletives have been abbreviated):

"You may be asking, 'What am I doing here?' And, you know, I don't really know. I wound up here tonight because I was having dinner at my house with Kid Rock a few months ago. I think he likes my house because you can smoke at my house. But he said, you know you should come and open for me on my summer tour.

"I said, 'I'm honored, of course, but I don't play an instrument. Actually, I'm an unemployed talk show host, so what would I do at your show?' And he said, I'm quoting now, 'You will figure it out and you will like it.'

"So that was two months ago. I woke up this morning and I thought 'I've got go to Gonzales, Louisiana and open up for Kid Rock. What am I going to say?' I had no idea until I got here.

"You know what changed my mind? I woke up this morning, and maybe you've had this experience. I went on the Internet and I read all these stories and thought, 'This is the most depressing thing that's happened to me in a long time. This country is f-d up.' That's what I thought. I did think that, which is a sad thing to think when you're in bed.

"And I looked over at my wife and four dogs and thought, 'Whew, I feel depressed.' And then I got here and walked through the crowd and thought, 'No, no it's not.' The country they tell me about on the Internet is f-d up. The country that I experience when I walk through this crowd or when I wake up in my town of 100 people in a rural area is a beautiful country filled with beautiful people.

"I was standing here and I looked out and I see this structure. It's a lighting rig but its got a familiar shape to it. A shape I like. And I said, 'I want to go see the cross, so I walked out to the cross and as I'm walking out this chick gets right in my face. She's got two nose rings, a cross necklace, and a Trump bracelet, and she looks me right in the face and she goes, 'Ahhhh!' And she said, 'I love you.' And I said, 'I love you too.' And I meant it. And I thought, that's the America that I know. Little weird. Slightly crazy. Full of love. And beautiful.

"And that describes the man I'm here to introduce. Yes, it does. If you can take one person out of this nation of 350 million people and present them to the rest of the world and say what's a real American look like, I would say that American would be both disobedient but decent. That American would both give you the finger and burst out laughing at the same time. That's right.

"These two men have a lot in common. I have the feeling that your wish will be granted. But enough of me talking, it's time to celebrate.

"Now I know many of you are not from Gonzales, which has - I checked - a population of 12,000. There are more than twice that number here, so you came long distances and you spent quite a bit of your money to get here. But it was worth it. Because can you put a price on living free in the last free country?

So let me tell you, my fellow Americans, what we've got. All gathered here tonight, a free people, united by our love of country and under God. And in the name of that country and that God, we're here to celebrate a party that will not stop. And so, as I know you can, please be as noisy and disobedient as possible for Kid f-ing Rock."
