Scorpions Announce “Rock Believer” North America Tour 2022 With Special Guest Whitesnake

Fresh off of their sold-out Sin City Nights Las Vegas residency, Scorpions will return to North American on the Rock Believer World Tour with special guests Whitesnake on their Farewell Tour. The two-month long run of dates kicks off on August 14th in Toronto with additional concerts in Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago, Dallas and Denver, amongst others. In addition to Whitesnake , Swedish band Thundermother will be joining the tour.

Scorpions Reveal 2022 North American Tour Dates with Whitesnake

Scorpions have revealed 2022 North American tour dates in support of their latest release and nineteenth studio album Rock Believer . The record was released in February of this year. The band's last documented live performance was on May 6 at Madison Square Garden- see the setlist here .

Fellow rock legends Whitesnake and special guests Thundermother will join the North American “Rock Believer Tour” this summer. The two month trek will kick off August 21 at Toronto, ON's Budweiser Stage, running through October 21 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

Tickets will go on sale this May 13 at 10AM local time via Ticketmaster .

German rock legends Scorpions return to North America on the ‘Rock Believer’ world tour with special guests Whitesnake on the David Coverdale-fronted outfit’s farewell tour.

Fresh off of their sold-out ‘Sin City Nights’ Las Vegas residency, Scorpions will kick off a two-month-long Live Nation-produced run of dates on August 14 in Toronto, with additional concerts in Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago, Dallas, and Denver, among others. In addition to Whitesnake, Swedish band Thundermother will be joining the tour.

Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, May 13 at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster. Scorpions Rock Zone fan club members will have exclusive, first access to tickets starting Tuesday, May 10 at 10 a.m. local time.

Scorpions frontman Klaus Meine said: “After the amazing start we’ve had with our residency in Las Vegas, it’s about time to come back for a real tour to rock the U.S. like a hurricane again. We can’t wait to see all you rock believers out there!”

David Coverdale added: “Once again it’s time to feel the sting of the Scorpions and the bite of the Whitesnake!!! Can’t Wait!!!”

Scorpions’ latest album , Rock Believer , was released on February 25. The album was recorded primarily at Peppermint Park Studios in Hannover, Germany and was mixed at the legendary Hansa Studios in Berlin, Germany with engineer Michael Ilbert, who has earned multiple Grammy nominations for his mix work with producer Max Martin on albums by Taylor Swift and Katy Perry .

Scorpions Announce 2022 North American Tour With Whitesnake

Two legends, one bill! Hard rock fans are in for a treat in late summer and early fall as Scorpions will meet up with the Farewell Tour of Whitesnake for dates in the U.S. and Canada.

The Scorpions are currently in the midst of their Rock Believer world tour and are anxious to share the road with Whitesnake. “After the amazing start we’ve had with our residency in Las Vegas, it‘s about time to come back for a real tour to rock the U.S. like a hurricane again. We can‘t wait to see all you Rock Believers out there," says singer Klaus Meine .

Whitesnake's David Coverdale adds, “Once again it’s time to feel the sting of the Scorpions and the bite of the Whitesnake!!! Can’t wait!!!”

The tour gets underway Aug. 14 in Toronto and runs through an Oct. 21 finale in Las Vegas. All of the cities, dates and venues are listed below. And fans can also look forward to an opening set on the run from Swedish rockers Thundermother.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public this Friday (May 13) at 10AM local time through Ticketmaster . But those who are part of the Scorpions Rock Zone fan club will have first access to tickets starting tomorrow (May 10) at 10AM local time. Scorpions announced summer and fall 2022 tour dates in North America with Whitesnake as the opening act. The two classic Hard Rock bands will perform in August, September and October across the United States and Canada.

The German band is currently promoting their latest album “Rock Believer” and the British group led by David Coverdale is on their farewell tour . Scorpions vocalist Klaus Meine talked about the concerts in an official statement, saying: “After the amazing start we’ve had with our residency in Las Vegas, it‘s about time to come back for a real tour to rock the U.S. like a hurricane again. We can‘t wait to see all you Rock Believers out there!”

About Scorpions:  

Founded in Hannover, West Germany in 1965, Scorpions were part of the first wave of metal in the 1970’s with their debut album, Lonesome Crow, released in 1972. Scorpions have announced a 2022 North American tour in support of their latest album, Rock Believer . Joining the legendary German band on the two-month trek will be fellow veteran rockers Whitesnake , who will be on their farewell outing.

The late summer / early fall “Rock Believer Tour” kicks off August 21st in Toronto, Canada, and runs through an October 21st show in Las Vegas. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, May 13th at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster , with a Live Nation pre-sale beginning Thursday, May 12th (use code FINALE ).

“After the amazing start we’ve had with our residency in Las Vegas, it‘s about time to come back for a real tour to rock the US like a hurricane again,” said Scorpions singer Klaus Meine, borrowing a line from one of the band’s most famous songs. “We can‘t wait to see all you Rock Believers out there!”

Whitesnake frontman David Coverdale added, “Once again it’s time to feel the sting of the Scorpions & the bite of the Whitesnake!!! Can’t Wait!!!”

Scorpions released their 19th album, Rock Believer , in February of the year, which marked the band’s first LP in seven years. It’s also the first album to feature current drummer Mikkey Dee , the Motörhead veteran who joined Scorpions in 2016, following the passing of Lemmy Kilmister.

Coverdale, who turned 70 this past September, previously announced that Whitesnake’s upcoming tour would be their last. The band kicks off its final outing on Tuesday night (May 10th) with a European run before linking up with Scorpions for the North American run.

“We have this farewell tour, and when I say that I’m retiring, I’m retiring from touring at this level. It’s so huge and it takes months and months and months to set up,” said Coverdale back in November. “I was hoping, actually, to retire at 69, which is absolutely the best age for the lead singer of Whitesnake to step down.”

Scorpions announce North American tour with Whitesnake

Scorpions will return to North America in 2022 on the Rock Believer World Tour with special guest Whitesnake, which will be on its farewell tour.

“After the amazing start we’ve had with our residency in Las Vegas, it‘s about time to come back for a real tour to rock the U.S. like a hurricane again,” Scorpions singer Klaus Meine said. “We can‘t wait to see all you Rock Believers out there!”

Whitesnake’s David Coverdale said, “Once again, it’s time to feel the sting of the Scorpions and the bite of the Whitesnake! Can’t wait!”

Fresh off of their sold-out Sin City Nights Las Vegas residency, Scorpions will kick off a two-month, Live Nation-produced run of dates on Aug. 14 in Toronto, with additional concerts in Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago, Dallas and Denver, among others. In addition to Whitesnake, Swedish band Thundermother will join the tour. 

Tickets go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. local time Friday, May 13, at  Ticketmaster.com . Scorpions Rock Zone fan club members will have exclusive, first access to tickets. For more information and to join the fan community visit  The-Scorpions.com/RockZone .

Scorpions, Whitesnake Plot 2022 North American Tour

The trek kicks off in August

Scorpions and Whitesnake have announced a North American tour. The Rock Believer Tour kicks off on August 21 at the Budweiser Stage in Toronto, ON and wraps up on October 21 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, NV. Scorpions are supporting their brand new album Rock Believer, while Whitesnake are bidding fans farewell as part of their final tour.

Special guests for the run will be Swedish rockers Thundermother.

Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, May 13 at 10am local time via Ticketmaster.com. Scorpions Rock Zone Fan Club members will have exclusive access to tickets starting Tuesday, May 10 at 10am local time. Scorpions and Whitesnake last performed together at a handful of shows in Australia back in early 2020.

Whitesnake have previously announced that their current run of world tour dates will be their last. The band’s last studio effort was 2019’s Flesh & Blood . The album peaked at No. 7 on the UK Albums Chart.

Scorpions and Whitesnake announce tour with David Attenborough-style wildlife video

Scorpions and Whitesnake will spend two months touring North America this summer

Scorpions have announced a 24-date North American tour, and they're taking Whitesnake and Swedish rockers Thundermother along for the ride. The run of dates kicks off in Toronto on August 21, and wraps up in Las Vegas two months later, the city in which the band recently completed a nine-show residency.

“After the amazing start we’ve had with our residency in Las Vegas, it‘s about time to come back for a real tour to rock the US like a hurricane again," says Scorpions frontman Klaus Meine. "We can‘t wait to see all you Rock Believers out there!”

“Once again it’s time to feel the sting of The Scorpions and the bite of the Whitesnake!" exclaims David Coverdale. "Can’t Wait!!” 

News of the your is accompanied by a one minute video featuring a David Attenborough-style narration. "And with the new day emerges our planet's most resilient hard-rocking creatures, Scorpions," says the narrator. "These multi-platinum creatures rule the world of rock."

WHITESNAKE Pulls Out Of SCORPIONS' North American Tour Due To DAVID COVERDALE's 'Upper Respiratory Infection'

WHITESNAKE has pulled out of its previously announced North American tour with the SCORPIONS due to singer David Coverdale 's "continued treatment for a persistent upper respiratory infection."

SCORPIONS will still play all the shows on the trek, featuring support from the Swedish THUNDERMOTHER , beginning on August 21 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and ending on October 21 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Earlier today (Friday, August 5),  Coverdale released the following statement: "It is with profound disappointment and a heavy heart that I must announce that WHITESNAKE will no longer be able to join the SCORPIONS on their US and Canadian tour due to my continued treatment for a persistent upper respiratory infection that affects my ability to perform. This includes the cancellation of our own headlining shows as well.

"While WHITESNAKE will no longer be on the tour, the SCORPIONS will be continuing on. We Wish Our Good Friends, the SCORPIONS Every Success!!!

"We Wish You Well".

SCORPIONS issued a separate statement confirming WHITESNAKE 's cancelation. They wrote: "We wanted to let you know that WHITESNAKE will no longer be joining us on our U.S. and Canadian Rock Believer tour.

"Nothing is more important than our fans and it was important to us that we keep the shows as scheduled.

"We wish WHITESNAKE all the best and look very much forward to seeing you and rocking with you all on tour along with THUNDERMOTHER ."

On June 28, WHITESNAKE scrapped three shows on its spring/summer European tour due to Coverdale 's infection of the sinus and trachea. Three days later, the rest of the trek was also called off. At the time, David blamed the decision on "continuing health challenges, doctor's orders, and our concern for everyone's health and safety."

David was not the first member of WHITESNAKE to fall ill during the group's latest European tour. Guitarist Reb Beach missed several shows on the trek in June after being "under the weather." On June 25, WHITESNAKE canceled its show at the Rock Imperium festival in Spain due to the fact that drummer Tommy Aldridge "went down" and "was bad enough at the time to have missed the first show ever in his career," according to Coverdale .

WHITESNAKE launched its farewell tour on May 10 at Dublin, Ireland's 3Arena. The band's 14-song set, which was part of a European tour with special guests EUROPE and co-headliners FOREIGNER , marked WHITESNAKE 's inaugural performance with the group's two latest two additions, keyboardist, guitarist and backing vocalist Dino Jelusick , and Irish bassist Tanya O'Callaghan .

Coverdale had both his knees replaced with titanium in 2017 after suffering from degenerative arthritis. He later explained that he was in so much pain with arthritis in his knees that it hampered his ability to perform live.

Prior to the pandemic, WHITESNAKE had been touring in support of its latest album, "Flesh & Blood" , which was released in May 2019 via Frontiers Music Srl .

Whitesnake Drops Out of Scorpions Tour Due to Health Issues

Whitesnake has pulled out of their upcoming tour dates with Scorpions because of singer David Coverdale 's ongoing health issues.

Coverdale clarified the decision in a statement shared on the band's website: "It is with profound disappointment and a heavy heart that I must announce that Whitesnake will no longer be able to join the Scorpions on their U.S. and Canadian tour due to my continued treatment for a persistent upper-respiratory infection that affects my ability to perform. This includes the cancellation of our own headlining shows as well."

Scorpions posted their own announcement to social media: "We wanted to let you know that Whitesnake will no longer be joining us on our U.S. and Canadian  Rock Believer   Tour. Nothing is more important than our fans, and it was important to us that we keep the shows as scheduled. We wish Whitesnake all the best and look very much forward to seeing you and rocking with you all on tour along with [the Swedish rock band ] Thundermother."

The tour is set to begin on Aug. 21 in Toronto, and end on Oct. 21 in Las Vegas.

Whitesnake was forced to cancel their own headlining shows back in June, while various band members dealt with medical related obstacles. "Unfortunately I have now been hit hard as well," Coverdale  said at the time . "I started feeling a bit under the weather two days ago and was just diagnosed with an infection of the sinus and trachea. The doctor recommends five days of no singing and bed rest."

Whitesnake kicked off their farewell tour in May, and were scheduled to continue on Aug. 18. When the band might resume performing again remains unclear.

"I'm 70," Coverdale said in 2021 . "It's a very physically challenging thing for me to do at the best of times. But it's very important for me to achieve completion and to express my appreciation and gratitude to all the people who've supported me for five decades, 50 years. It blows my mind – it really does."

I sold my tickets because Five Points amphitheatre is the worst venue I have ever been to. The only time I have enjoyed a show there is when buying VIP front and Center seats and even then there security is the worst. Last show the people I knew from the meet and greet with Foreigner spent between 900 and 2000 for a paid of tickets yet when I walked down to the stage Indis not get stopped once and asked for my ticket. I learned against the rail against the stage with the aisle behind me and never was told to leave the area and neither was anyone who paid $49 for baxkrow seats. When you sit in the upper section, meaning 300's, there is no security, the seats are temporary, and its a bit more cramped then the airlines. Of someone moves, the entire section moves, and the entire row has to clear the row because it is impossible to get buy. Of anything happens in the upper sections, which is very possible seeing that everytime you get to your seat you have to ask someone who doesnt belong there to move. And when I sat 2nd row, I had at least 10 different neighbors from people climbing over the seats. With such

The band was exceptional, the lights magical, sound a bit of a problem at the beginning, but grew better towards the end of the show, especially when singing their older songs.

The Athens State Orchestra did not manage to see, except the last song - the one with Shenker - as I was entering the stadium, because, even though I had the most expensive VIP ticket (with numbered seat), I - among most of the crowd - could not enter, since there where NO lines, NOONE from the production company, NO security to help and guide us. As a result, the concert began as sceduled, at 21:00 sharp ad all of us were outside trying - I got pushed over, squeezed etc - to get in. Because of that - the entrance delay - they did not check our tickets (nobody was at the gates any way) so whoever wanted to enter the stadium - with NO ticket - could by all means enter. When entered the stadium there were AGAIN nobody to escort or show us to our seats, with limited lighting, and when we FINALLY found our seats there were people seating already refusing to get up - since they told us that people from the organisation told them to seat WHEREVER they wished, since there was no time to seat them and obviously without entry control we were outnumbered - and spend about 30 minutes trying to convince them for the obvious: to get up and let us seat on our NUMBERED seats, while searching for SOMEONE from the production company to assist. The stairs were full of people (this is against safety policy) and I managed to get down to arena after stepping on hands (it was dark as I mentioned earlier) to find someone in charge....NOONE, only one security guy who wasn't authorised to help with the situation and finally a "staff" who told me that he was a driver and would try to find someone to assist. They had NO CBs to intercommunicate and were running up and down to find whomever they were searching for. Finally, the paramedics, also had NO CBs and as we saw a girl in distress form above we were trying to communicate through signals that they should speed to the spot. The production company - I've never heard of them in Greece - are plain potential murderers.

The show of the concert was great, but we didn't really see the collusion of the band with the symphonic orchestra. The orchestra came, played their part, and after that we never saw them again. The sould could be better. The legendary Scorpions gave it all though. They made as feel good and they carried as away!

The organization was not good. Two small entrances for sooo many people. That lead to huge queues. I felt there was not so much security, during the check of the tickets.

It was great seeing Kallimarmaro full, from people who came to enjoy Scorpions!
