Die Location war einmalig, direkt auf dem Domplatz, aber auch Norah Jones mit Ihrer unverkennbaren Stimme hat zu einem tollen Erlebnis beigetragen. Leider war schon nach 1 1/2 Stunden alles wieder vorbei, aber wir würden wiederkommen.

Tolle Künstlerin

Super Show von Norah Jones mit tollen Musikern. Eine tolle Mischung aus Ihren besten Songs und unbekannteren Liedern. Die Location vor dem Linzer Dom war auch sehr stimmungsvoll. Lediglich die sehr enge Bestuhlung war etwas anstrengend.

Bestes OpenAir Wetter - Darbietung dürftig

Norah Jones, eine wirklich schöne junge Musikerin; eine sagenhafte Stimme aber das Konzert fast unwürdig gegenüber ihren Fan´s; nach 1 Stunde und 21 Minuten war das Konzert inclusive Zugabe bereits beendet. Die Songs klar und sicher gespielt, aber eine gute CD-Anlage hätte das ebenso kostengünstiger vollbracht. Was war das ?! Wenn Fan´s ihren Star´s zu einem Konzert folgen um eine Verbindung zu bekommen dann war das abschreckend und als Negativbeispiel kaum zu übertreffen. Mein teuerstes und enttäuschtes Konzert in diesem Jahr, schade.

The show itself was great! But the chairs in Espaço das Americas are uncomfortable. It’s a place where I have no intention to go again.

Regarding the show, it’s important the artist plays a local song with her special voice and interpretation.

Beautiful performer, played some beautiful songs. Was obviously having a bad day or overtired because in a little over an hour she said about 3 sentences other than introducing the band after about the 4th or 5th songs.

It would have been nice to have have her introduce her new songs with the title and not just that it's on the internet! Or 'this is our last song' and get up say 'goodbye ' and walk off. At least there was an encore. It was like paying to watch a very expensive, professional open mic or watching them practice I've been to a fair few concerts so it was a bit odd

she's lost the blue note...

still a great singer but not sharing anything with the audience, or maybe she was just tired, anyway, it was disapointing, she baraly spoke to the people, there was nothing particular about the show, not interresting sadly

Six years since her last appearance at the Bijloke, Norah Jones is marking her third return to regale Gent Jazz’s audience in 2023 in her warm, friendly universe where jazz, pop, folk and country converge in divine fashion. Even though the American artist is welcome at any time, this time around she has an additional reason to play the festival: 'Come Away With Me’, or her moody little record as she puts it herself, first came out twenty years ago. Norah Jones returns to European concert stages this year for her first tour dates on the continent since 2018. In addition to her already announced summer tour which will bring the 9-time GRAMMY-winning singer, songwriter, and pianist to France, Belgium, Italy, Croatia, Hungary, Austria, Spain, and Portugal in July, she has just announced a UK tour this November which includes performances in London, Manchester, Birmingham, and Glasgow, as well as Belfast and Dublin.

Norah Jones will perform on Friday, July 14, 2023, starting with 8.30 pm, in Piazza Napoleone , in Lucca , as part of the Lucca Summer Festival 2023 .

The album was certified diamond, selling over 27 million copies. It earned five Grammy Awards, including the Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best New Artist.

Her subsequent studio albums, Feels Like Home , released in 2004, Not Too Late , released in 2007, and The Fall , released in 2009, gained platinum status, selling over a million copies each.

Jones’s fifth studio album, Little Broken Hearts , was released in 2012, her sixth, Day Breaks , was released in 2016, and her seventh studio album, Pick Me Up Off the Floor , on June 12, 2020.

Norah Jones won several awards for her music, and sold more than 50 million records worldwide. Billboard named her the top jazz artist of the 2000’s decade.

LUCCA SUMMER FESTIVAL

The first edition of the Lucca Summer Festival was held in 1998, when Bob Dylan, George Benson and Joe Cocker performed on stage.

Over time, important names attended the festival, such as David Bowie, James Brown, Mark Knopfler, Jamiroquai, Seal, Zucchero, Ray Charles, Elton John, Paul Simon, Rod Stewart, Oasis, Anastacia, Giorgia, Green Day, Ennio Morricone, The Rolling Stones, Sting, Scorpions, Alanis Morissette, The Cranberries, Buena Vista Social Club, Joan Baez, Natalie Cole, Youssou N’Dour, and Eagles.

As usual, the Lucca Summer Festival 2023 will take place during the summer months in Lucca. So far, besides Norah Jones, artists like KISS , The Chemical Brothers , Simply Red , Blur and OneRepublic were confirmed for the 2023 edition of the festival.

Piazza Napoleone is the main square of Lucca, and one of the venues where, every year in the summer, is held one of the most important music festivals in Italy , the Lucca Summer Festival.

Piazza Napoleone is located inside the city walls of Lucca, about 650 meters away from the Lucca railway station. The closest bus stop is Napoleone , located in the northwestern corner of the square, on the bus Lines 5, LAM Blu and LAM Verde.

Norah Jones announces 2023 UK and Ireland tour

The upcoming tour follows a summer run of dates in Europe

Norah Jones has announced that she will be heading on a tour of the UK and Ireland this autumn.

The singer-songwriter previously announced a summer tour in Europe, which is due to start this July in Paris and includes dates in Italy, Spain, Portugal and more.

The UK and Ireland leg of the tour kicks off at Sage Gateshead on November 4, before heading to Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Bath, Belfast and Dublin. Jones will also headline London’s Palladium on November 11.

Jones’ last studio album was the 2021 festive LP ‘I Dream of Christmas’, which included versions of songs like ‘Blue Christmas’, ‘White Christmas’, ‘Winter Wonderland’ and ‘I’ll Be Home for Christmas’. This album followed 2020’s ‘Pick Me Up Off The Floor’.

In other news, in January, Logic   shared a teaser for his new album ‘College Park’ , which features  RZA , Norah Jones and more. The album was officially released on February 24, with Jones appearing on the track ‘Paradise II’.

Elsewhere, Jones finally released her cover of  Ray Charles ‘ ‘Hallelujah, I Love Him So’ last year.

Released to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her landmark debut ‘Come Away With Me’, Jones originally recorded her rendition of the 1956 song during one of her very first demo sessions for Blue Note Records back in 2000.

The cover had never previously been released but was made available for the first time as part of ‘Come Away With Me: 20th Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition’, a multi-disc reissue that arrived in April 2022.

The 'Don't Know Why' singer will headline the London Palladium, Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall and more in November

American singer-songwriter Norah Jones has announced a run of 2023 UK tour dates. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 24 March.

The 'Come Away With Me' Grammy winner will kick off the headline tour on Saturday 4 November at Sage in Gateshead before heading to the Symphony Hall in Birmingham and Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on Monday 6 and Tuesday 7 November respectively.

Stops scheduled for the rest of the trek include Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall, Forum in Bath, the London Palladium and Waterfront in Belfast. She'll also perform at a number of festivals throughout Europe this summer, including the La Seine Musical in Paris and Gent Jazz Festival.

Her latest release is I Dream Of Christmas which came out in October last year, following her last studio album Pick Me Up Off The Floor in 2020. It's been 20 years since her seminal debut record Come Away With Me which received a Grammy Award for Album Of The Year, Best Pop Vocal Album and Record Of The Year.

Norah Jones will return to the concert stage this year for her first tour dates since 2019. The 9-time GRAMMY-winning singer, songwriter, and pianist has just announced a summer U.S. tour which kicks off June 20 and includes shows in Los Angeles, Chicago, Nashville, Philadelphia, Boston, and New York City with a special solo performance by Regina Spektor on select dates.

Ticket pre-sales begin tomorrow (March 9) with public on-sale this Friday, March 11 at 10am local time. Additionally, Jones will be appearing at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on May 8 before the tour kicks off.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Norah’s debut album and April 29 will see the release of Come Away With Me: 20th Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition , an expanded 4-LP, 3-CD, and digital collection that reveals for the first time the full story of the making of this now-classic album.

In addition to a remaster of the original album, the Super Deluxe Edition also includes 22 previously unreleased tracks including the original demos that Norah submitted to Blue Note, the complete First Session demos she made after being signed, and the first version of the album that Norah made with producer Craig Street, most of which has never been heard before.

Norah’s 2021 live album ‘Til We Meet Again is nominated for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album at the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards. The album presented globe-spanning performances of songs spanning Jones’ career including favorites like “Don’t Know Why,” “Sunrise,” “Flipside,” and songs from her more recent singles series before closing with a stunning solo piano performance of Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun” in tribute to Chris Cornell.
