• Tickets must be purchased; they are NOT reserved. You are NOT guaranteed any number of tickets.
• Birthday Packages are based on the number of tickets purchased through the personalized webpage link we create & email to your attention.
• Each package has a minimum number of tickets that must be purchased to receive that package.
• LESS THAN THE MINIMUM: **You can still reserve a package even if you have less than the minimum number of guests for the entire package as you are automatically eligible for the Personalized Birthday Webpage & Shout Outs. If you do not reach the minimum, you will not receive the remaining features.

• The minimum number of tickets for a package must be purchased before the event is sold out OR by 12pm the day before the event, whichever comes first. Tickets are first come, first serve.
• You will be notified at this point or when the event is sold out if sooner as to what package you will receive based on the total purchases made through your webpage.
• Advise your guests not to wait to purchase tickets as all our events are sold out in advance.
• If tickets are still on sale after 12pm the day before the event you may still purchase tickets, but they will not be tallied towards your total for the birthday package. Any tickets purchased after 12pm the day before the event, if available, will be counted as a general sale & not towards your package. There is no guarantee that tickets will still be available the day before the event as tickets are likely to be sold out before this date.

• You do NOT need to immediately purchase the birthday person's ticket as you will receive a free ticket for the birthday person IF you have at least 20 purchased tickets purchased through your personalized webpage before the final package deadline.
• If you do not reach this minimum amount by the time the event is listed as sold out OR by 12pm the day before the event on the final package deadline, then you will be emailed a link to purchase the birthday person's ticket at the starting price.
• This is only available for the birthday person, not other guests. We have the birthday person's ticket on hold to either be sent to you as a free ticket or to send you a link to purchase the ticket, depending on if you receive a package.

• Updates are emailed once to twice a week on designated days with an updated list of who has purchased tickets through your webpage to help you keep track of guests. If you do not receive an email for a while, it may be due to no updates on your list. You may email us at [email protected] if you would like to follow up on who has purchased but again, we do send updates once to twice a week.

• Birthday Packages do NOT provide a Reserved Table with the package for events on the Jewel Yacht or the Majestic Princess. Table Reservations Require Bottle Service.
• If you would like a Table Reservation, Bottle Service is required. For Information, email us at [email protected]
• We will email you a list of bottles prices & packages and you can reply to confirm you want a table reservation. Once you arrive, you can let the door staff know you have a table reservation and you can provide them with the full name on the reservation. You will still need to purchase tickets for admission.
• Reserved Tables DO NOT have seating for your entire party at one time, but everyone in your group will have access to your table all night AND will have access to all levels of the yacht all night.
• Guests may NOT bring their own food or bottles/beverages.
• This is NOT a sit-down cruise...This is a Dance Cruise!

Whether you are turning four or 40 – birthdays are special. And in recent years, birthdays have also meant traveling for our family – in particular, cruises.

Last year, we celebrated Molly’s 4th birthday on a cruise and I turned another year older while sailing on the Carnival Breeze . They were each memorable birthdays that my family will always cherish.

From cakes to special gifts to decorating your stateroom – there’s nothing better than sailing the seas for your special day.

Here’s a look at some of the ways my family and I celebrated —

Do what I did and treat yourself to a little pampering with a relaxing spa treatment. It was so nice to take a break and truly focus on myself during our cruise. Sure, there’s always the  adults-only Serenity deck  to unwind, but there’s nothing better than a hot stone massage while overlooking the seas. It was the ultimate birthday gift to myself!

If food is more your idea of pampering, make reservations at the ship’s Steakhouse . You can’t go wrong with surf & turf, paired with a big, slice of cheesecake for dessert. It’s an elegant evening and the great way to make wishes for another birthday year.

And speaking of food… For Molly’s birthday, we stopped by the ship’s  Cherry on Top  candy store and order her a birthday cake to be delivered at dinner the next night in the dining room. While we were there, we let the girls fill up their own candy bags with treats – gummies, chocolates and tons of sugar!

I’ll never forget when our servers surprised Molly at dinner by singing ‘Happy Birthday’ and presenting her with a cake. It was such a fun moment and we loved making friends with our table neighbors when we shared cake with everyone.

Make It A Surprise 

One thing I really wished I had done was purchase a  cabin decorations package  before our sailing. Depending on the package, your steward will decorate your stateroom with streamers, banners and let everyone know that it is your birthday by decorating the outside of your door.

You can even order chocolate covered strawberries (a big hit with Molly), fruit baskets and for the kiddos – surprise them with a gift bag complete with Dr. Seuss gifts including books, backpacks and even a great beach towel too – all delivered right to your stateroom.

Plan a getaway

And speaking of Dr. Seuss – the  Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast with The Cat in the Hat and Friends  is a fun way to celebrate a birthday. With French toast covered in cereal, colorful pancakes and meeting the characters from the books, this special breakfast is always a big hit with my girls.

The decor definitely gets you in the ‘party’ mood and with the songs and dancing – it’s the perfect way to celebrate your little one’s big day.

There are so many fun ways to make your birthday unique when sailing with Carnival Cruise Line. Since we’ve celebrated Molly’s and my birthdays on cruises, my husband and Maggie have been asking when we are going to sail for their birthday celebrations. Looks like I better get to planning again soon!

Yes, inside the Roman town which was smothered in volcanic ash when Vesuvias erupted in 79 AD. Proceedings are anticipated to include a birthday dinner party, likely running the full length of the oldest surviving amphitheatre in the world, if the anticipated 500 guests turn up.

A private party at a cultural heritage site is a major power move. Does the host transcend cultural heritage? Is that what they are trying to tell us? Like when Naomi Campbell flew out all her greatest friends – Kate Moss, the Duchess of York et al – to Rajasthan to celebrate her then boyfriend’s 50th. Her destination of choice? The 15th century Mehrangarh Fort, the hilltop jewel of Jodhpur which spans 1,200 acres, first built by Rao Jodha Rathore, the 15th century ruler of the Kingdom of Marwar (present day Rajasthan). Guests will have stayed at Umaid Bhawan Palace, the Indo-Saracenic Art Deco maharaja of palaces, once the largest private residence in the world. Now part is run by Taj Hotels, the other part is the home of the Maharaja of Jodhpur. But the use of the Fort is a bigger deal – because it’s never normally ‘for hire’. Effectively closed after hours – until Campbell and her billionaire Russian ex-boyfriend, Vladimir Doronin, come knocking.

But it’s not just the super-famous – it’s also the straight-up super-rich who are seemingly drawn to grand, fenced-off sites to mark the biggest occasions. Such as tech billionaire Ankur Jain who took the theme of ‘destination wedding’ into his own hands, when he made that destination the Ancient Egyptian Pyramids. Somewhat predictably, the seven day celebrations went viral on TikTok – and Egypt’s minister for Tourism and Antiquities was in attendance. Jain and his WWE champion and fitness mogul girlfriend Erica Hammond were wed at sunset between two pyramids, with a backdrop of the Great Sphinx of Giza, before a performance by Robin Thicke kicked off. The photos are sensational: the pyramids, actual ancient wonders of the world, forming an exquisite, money-can-actually–buy backdrop.

As part of the celebrations, they also took over the Grand Egyptian Museum, the largest museum in the world devoted to a single civilisation, for a night – this was pretty major, given it’s not yet open to the public. But this is more akin to a night at the museum (which is more common than a night amid ancient, fenced-off artefacts). And parties at private houses are now mainstream: like when Charlotte Tilbury rented out Badminton House in Gloucestershire for New Year’s Eve or Tish Weinstock and Tom Guinness booked Belvoir Castle for their Gothic nuptials. It happens all the time in fashion: a prime example being when friend-to-the-Greek-royals Mary Katranzou showed her 2020 collection at the Temple of Poseidon in Greece or when Dolce & Gabbana took over the Teatro Antico in Taormina for Alta Moda.

Unsurprisingly, archaeologists and cultural historians aren’t going to be in favour of the most carefully preserved sites on the planet being usurped by Bachnialian, deep-pocketed revellers. Michele Campisi, general secretary of the Italia Nostra heritage association, told the Times : ‘Why does Madonna need to go to Pompeii? Is there not a more beautiful beach she could use?’ It’s a valid point. For Madonna, she is just capitalising on a major trend. Ancient Greece is having a moment – Mary Beard has never been cooler and classical columns are rife on Instagram. Mayfair’s Bachnialia – Richard Caring’s latest venture – has Damien Hirst’s take on classical sculptures flying from the walls, staff in togas and an expansive classical mural. Restaurant go-ers adore it and Madonna has simply gone to the trend’s root (‘what is the next best thing after the Acropolis?’ she might have thought).

Pompeii officials have now dismissed the rumours of Madonna’s ‘mega’ birthday party claiming they are ‘baseless’ after heritage experts expressed their fury. I guess we’ll find out tomorrow…
