FAKE.. I ordered a product, but its handle came out after the first use, sent photo, videos to them and they agreed to replace, the replacement never arrived, their delivery partner is a fake one delivered the product to someone and stop responding and so is Safari. I really feel like cheated.

Warranty Policy

International Warranty – Terms & Conditions

Safari Industries (India) Limited provides warranty to the first purchaser or gift recipient of the travel gear (‘Product’) from the date of purchase of the Product for the period specified in the authorized Warranty Card.

In the unlikely event that a problem occurs with a your Product, within the warranty period, as a result of defect in materials or workmanship, we will, at our discretion, replace / repair it, in accordance with the warranty terms & conditions stated herein. In the course of normal handling, your Product may suffer abrasions, cuts, scratches, dents or soil, which are not a part of the warranty claim. Certain component parts such as wheels, zippers, trolleys, fabric etc. will show wear & tear and eventually may need to be refurbished or replaced. This wear & tear is not covered under the warranty. This warranty applies when the Product is used under normal conditions and for the purpose in which the product was designed.

Please note that this warranty is not unconditional.

This warranty does not cover:

Defects not reported timely to the Company within the said warranty period

Damages caused by misuse (such as transportation of unusual items other than personal belongings and/or has extraordinary weight), abuse, accidents, mishandling, negligence, unauthorized repair, tampering, loss of components or accessories, exposure to extreme heat & temperatures, solvents, acids, rain/water.

Powder coating, gold plating, wood finish on locks, frames, channels, and all other metallic surfaces.

Replacement/repair of briefcase folios and suitcase divider flaps.

Damages such as zip bursts, cracks, dents and scratches to any of the components, tearing of inner lining or any other fabrics.

Incidental & consequential damages, such as damage to, or loss of use or time or similar expenses.

Damage to the leather trimmings.

Labour charges and damages attributable to work performed by anyone other than Safari.

Damages caused by mishandling and abuse in transit.

The warranty card is valid only if it is filled in, duly signed & stamped by Safari Authorized dealer/store/outlet. To avail warranty services, the warranty card and the original invoice for the purchase must be produced along with the defective Product.

The warranty is applicable across the globe in more than 200+ countries. The customer is, however, responsible for all efforts & costs of getting the defective Product to Safari including, but not limited to, the cost & efforts of packaging, shipping & applicable taxes.

Safari will replace or repair the defective Product (deemed defective as per the terms and conditions of the warranty) within a reasonable period of time, at its own discretion. The company respectfully reserves the right to determine the nature of the defects, whether or not the problem is covered by Safari’s warranty and the applicability of the warranty.

For the purpose of product replacement, manufacturing specifications are subject to change without prior notice. If the product is to be replaced and the product is discontinued or no longer available, or, if the product is to be repaired and the spare parts of that particular model are not available, Safari, at its discretion, will offer a comparable or equivalent product at a special price.

Any disputes arising out of the applicability/usage of this warranty card is subject to Indian laws and the courts at Mumbai shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

In no event and under no circumstances will the company be liable for any direct or any special, indirect or consequential damage under this Warranty Policy or otherwise and the company’s liability for damages under this warranty shall not exceed the price paid (after discounts, if any), by the customer for the product(s) stated in the invoice.

This warranty excludes every condition and warranty liability that isn’t expressly set out herein. Product locks and the security mechanism fitted on the Product are delaying devices and are intended only to prevent accidental opening & cannot necessarily prevent theft of the Product & its contents, breakage or entry by airline or airport personnel or governmental authorities. Please inspect your product immediately after handling by anyone other than the customer.

Procedure to avail the International Warranty:

To avail of the International Warranty, the customer needs to call our Customer Service representative at 1800-210-8981 or send us an email at  [email protected]  

The customer needs to provide necessary documents including the duly filled up, signed & stamped copies of the valid warranty card, invoice and photo(s) of the defective piece in soft copy at  [email protected]  

The company respectfully reserves the right to determine whether or not the problem is covered by Safari’s warranty. If the warranty applies, the customer will be provided a replacement product at Safari’s expenses, including any cost required to ship replacement product to the customer. The cost to deliver the defective Product to Safari will be borne by the customer. In case of request being raised outside of India in any country, which is covered by this warranty (a list of the countries is mentioned in the subsequent pages of this warranty policy), and the company approves the replacement of the defective piece, – the replacement piece will be delivered to the customer by the company at it’s own expenses, at the address provided by the customer, provided that the address is within the serviceable limits of the country, from where the service request was originated. In this case, the customer will be required to deliver the defective Product at its own cost, either before or after receipt of replacement in lieu of the defective Product to as may be informed by the Company.

If the product is to be replaced and the product is discontinued or no longer available, Safari, at its discretion, will offer a comparable or equivalent product at a special price.

Replacements are typically delivered within a reasonable period of time. However, our shipping estimates are not guarantees or promises that a product will ship on a specific day or be received by the customer within a specific period. Actual delivery time depends on the carrier & shipping distance and may vary. We are unable to ship to P.O. Boxes. All items will be shipped only to a valid address with zip codes/pin codes.

Delivery to some remote addresses may not be possible due to limited reach of the shipping carrier. The replacement order will be shipped after necessary verification has been completed.

I had a bent in the suitcase from the beginning, within few months chain gets stuck , thread came off and warranty simply refuses to repair or replace , so what exactly is manufacturing defect also they don't say .

Would not recommend safari suitcase s , bad quality.

I've been using them around a month now. Traveling alot and biggest problem byfar has been it's locking mechanism. I pray before unlocking it now. Absolutely not acceptable and the service isn't much help when we are on holidays.

Bought A new Safari bag One day ago and it’s lock is not opening even after trying all the 999 digit combination.

I had bought a school bag. Which got damaged in just 5 months. When I logged a complain as it was in warranty they assured of sending a new bag. They shared a lrn no also for the same. The LRN was not tracable. And everytime when contacted they pasted the Same reply that your packet is dispatch on this lrn no.

It's almost 15 days but there is no sign or bag nor reply from the customer care

I buy bag from rohini branch bag quality is very worst.. Then I go for change but Mr. Praveen is saying it's all ok. But not change.. Please this type problem customer suffering.

I recently purchased a new Safari Bag and I have to say that I am extremely disappointed with the overall quality of the product. I had high expectations for this bag, as I had heard good things about the company, but unfortunately I feel like I have wasted my money.

The first issue I encountered with the bag was that the material felt incredibly cheap. It didn't feel like the bag would be able to stand up to everyday wear and tear, and I was right. After only a few weeks of using the bag, the material had started to fray and tear in several places. The zippers weren't very sturdy either, and they often got stuck and wouldn't open or close properly.

Another issue I had was with the design of the bag. The straps were too long for my frame, and I constantly had to adjust them in order to keep the bag secure on my back. Additionally, the pockets weren't very well thought out. Many of them weren't the right size for the items I wanted to store, and they were too shallow to keep things from falling out.

Finally, the customer service was terrible. I emailed the company several times with questions and concerns, and I never received a response. This made me feel like they didn

This is a pathetic company. No proper call centre. No proper customer support. There is no Repair shop any-where to show that their product failed. There is no escalation contact even.

DO not get fooled by the 5 year warranty that they claim. IT is all bogus and fooling customers.

I bought safari luggage bag which is black in color and the prize of the product is 2150 the bag is 77 cms in length it is good as shown in picture. It is good holiday bag and excellent for that perfect travel look. Product is really good, value for money, very handy. It is easy to handle and easy to carry the bag as it is with four wheels on four corners it is easy to carry for any long distance we may not spend much more energy to carry it's is very much easy to slide the bag. The fabric was good , stitching was good . I was satisfied with this product and the cost also worthy. It can load with more clothes and important things it is very strong. The zips are fitted well. It gives a perfect look to someone who is on his/her holiday. It can carry maximum luggage. The wheels also very strong as it unable to break easily. But the only thing is I have received the product with little damage , I hot torned at one corner a small piece of fabric was torned but apart from that the product was good ??

Unsatisfied and will not recommend

I have ordered two luggage combos, of which one of the luggage combo which I received was damaged (Handle Cracked). I have placed an exchange order (ID: #24555-C) on the same day, the courier partner took back the suitcase on 26th Dec, however till date I have not yet received the new suitcase. Unfortunately the customer care number is so unresponsive and sometimes not working at all. Initially when I tried reaching the customer care number, I had to wait till 17 mins and no one responded, this is very bad and not a good service by Safari, being a well known brand in globally. I have also written many emails and there is yet no response for the same. Dear Safari Team, I kindly request you to help me with this.

My international travel date is nearing and I have not yet received my suitcase and now I am very much scared to order one more suitcase from your online store facing this experience. I would think before recommending this brand to anyone globally as the advertisements are very impressive and very much inspiring but the service is not at all impressive or up to the mark. Being a human I can understand that anyone can accept a delay of 3-5 business days but this delay or unresponsiveness of 18 days cannot be acceptable from a global brand.

I request you to either refund my money or issue me a new combo suitcase. It has exactly been close to 18 days and no response from Safari nor an update from you. Truly hating this experience and very sad selecting this brand.

I purchase safari bag 10 Oct 22 on 17 Nov bag condition came so poor i complaint online but no solution came for this in future I don't go for safari.

This is very worst experiance with safary , 5 yr warranty is waste .only 4 travells by a bag it got damaged wheel and carrying handle .no satisfactory reply given by the safari .waste of money and time.

I placed an order with Safari Bags online on Cash on Deliveryon Saturday 3.9.22 and since Safari didn't tell me about delivery date by Sunday morning I cancelled the order on Sunday morning 4.9.22 itself.

Now Safari on Tuesday 6.9.22 says that they can't cancel order 13193 as I cancelled on Sunday and their people don't work on Sunday.

I ordered on cash on delivery and yet had the decency of informing the company just to save myself and delivery guys from any hassle.

I am extremely harrased.

I have purchased SHRILL 65RL rolling duffle from one of their outlet on 11 Sept 2021. After purchasing this duffle we hardly used 3-4 times and then the duffle started loosing its stitching.

I visited their service station many times to replace it as the duffle has 5 years warranty, but I never got any response from your service station.

Then I sent a mail to their customer care and got the reply we have sent your complain to concern department they will get back to you and I am waiting from past 3 months for a reply. I am following them like anything from past 3 months but they are not bother to reply also.

Purchased a safari bag after using it for 4-5 outings both the zips broke. the bag is totally dependent on the zips without which one cannot use it at all. no response from customer care number or on email.

Third class product. Don't buy it. Waste of money. Product is not worthy. Don't waste your money. Go for other good brands

Going by the positive reviews I ended up buying this suitcase Medium size along with another one cabin size.

Regret to say that it is not well made with poor quality zips and definitely not value for money.

Unfriendly customer service and cumbersome process to contact them for our requirements.

Wanted to return but they are not willing to take back unless I prove that the product is defective.

Safari suitcase has the worst quality and teen worse customer care service. The suitcase cracked from a point even though they promise it is highly durable. Despite being on warranty there has been no response from their end even after complaining and waiting. Worst customer care and not so durable brand.

Safari Service - How To Send In a Safari Case Product for Repair or Warranty

 Step 1:   Please contact our service department at the information below to setup an RMA for your damaged or defective product.

 Step 2:   Carefully package the case for shipping. Include in package:

• Complete name, return address and daytime telephone number (fax number and e-mail address optional).
• Detailed description of the problem.
• Where practical, a sample evidencing the problem.
• For warranty repairs, a copy of the dated sales slip of original purchase.

 Step 3: Customer pays shipping to Gentec International and we cover the return shipping for all in warranty repairs.

If there is a cost associated with your repair, you should receive an estimate from our service team within 2-3 business days of its arrival at Gentec. If your product is covered under a warranty repair, your item will be repaired and sent back to you.

If the repair is covered under warranty, return shipping to the customer will be covered by Gentec International. If the item is not covered under warranty, the customer will be responsible for all return shipping fees, whether or not the repair estimate is approved.

The majority of safari lodges are located in remote areas, with access only by light aircraft and not by airliners. This, in part, dictates the luggage to pack for your safari.

Top 7 tips for selecting the best safari luggage.

1. For your main large duffel or holdall, choose safari luggage which is soft and squashable and which has no frame : This is especially true for safari travel to Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Mozambique, Malawi, Tanzania, and Kenya. The reason for this is rather a practical one. The majority of safari lodges and camps within these countries are accessible only by light aircraft - such as the Cessna 210 shown on this page. As a result, in order for your pilot to fit your luggage into the small, cramped hold, your luggage must not have hard sides, nor rigid frames or structure, and should rather be soft-sided so that the pilot is able to fit (squash) your bag into the plane. The same is true for some overland and expedition-style safaris where there will be limited space for luggage in the safari 4x4.

2. Check on safari luggage limitations : Please check with the safari company you have booked with about luggage limitations for your safari, as the requirements may vary from safari to safari. Where luggage weight limitations are specified, please note that - as the maximum take-off weight in any aircraft has to be strictly adhered to by pilots to maximise your safety on each flight - you may find that your pilot will not be able to take any luggage over the maximum allowed weight per passenger. In this instance, you may have to pay for your luggage to be flown separately.

3. The ideal size for main safari luggage : We recommend that your main safari luggage holdall or duffel should measure 70 x 30 x 30cm in size when full.

4. Carry-on safari luggage : Also take one one smaller carry-on type safari bag to use when you travel - and to take your binoculars and accessories on game drives and walks.

5. Walking safaris : For safaris with a daily walking element, we recommend that you take the large safari holdall as above plus a small safari satchel or safari backpack .This may be the same bag as your carry-on safari bag also.

6. Luggage accessories : Your holdall and daypack are important - but don't forget the ever-important supporting role of smaller luggage items too.
