On this day, according to your flight schedule, your local guide will pick you up in Manila and escort you to Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport, where you will board your domestic flight to Coron . Francisco B. Reyes Airport (USU), also known as Busuanga Airport, is located on the western half of Busuanga Island, about 23km (approximately a half-hour drive) from Coron Town Proper.

After arriving at the airport, your guide will meet you at the exit and take you to your hotel in the Coron Town area for check-in. You can enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Coron , known as the "Utopia on the Sea," is a top destination famous for its white sand beaches, World War II wreck diving sites, beautiful rock formations, and unbelievably clear lakes and waters. The town attracts numerous holidaymakers, divers, snorkelers, and adventure seekers to the Palawan province of the Philippines.

After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel. You are going to explore the awe-inspiring cultural and scenic attractions in Coron Town Area . Your amazing day begins!

Your first stop on this exhilarating excursion is a short trek to the summit of Mt. Tapyas , the second tallest mountain and the most iconic landmark in Coron on Busuanga Island. Follow the 724-step stairs to the viewing deck and once at the top, you are treated with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding islands and the charming town of Coron. You can take many beautiful photographs here.

Second, hop on a scenic 30-minute tricycle ride to the Maquinit Hot Spring , a natural wonder that is sure to leave you spellbound. Located along the picturesque southern coast of Busuanga Island, Maquinit Hot Spring is one of the very few saltwater hot springs in the world. It is said that the water gets heated by a volcano and springs up into the two-tiered circular pool. (Optional Activity: Plunge in and let the 40-degree Celsius waters soothe your muscles.)

Next, you will be followed to visit Cashew Factory which are known to be the best “pasalubong”. Coron is famous for its delectable cashew nuts, and the factory offers a unique opportunity to witness the entire roasting and packaging process firsthand.

Then, move to make your way to the serene San Agustin Parish Church , the only Catholic Church in the area. This historic structure was built in 1901 and has been restored several times over the years. Despite its central location in the bustling town center, the church exudes a sense of tranquility that is sure to soothe your soul. Once you've had your fill of peaceful contemplation, take a leisurely stroll to the vibrant Town Center. This bustling hub of activity is the heart of Coron's commercial district, where you can sample local cuisine or simply soak up the lively atmosphere.

After that, it’s time to unwind and relax at the Lualhati Park which is Coron's baywalk. It is part of the reclaimed space which the government established to serve as the main anchorage for boats and ships traveling in and out of Coron. It is said that this place was erected in tribute of the town mayor's mother. Take a moment to breathe in the fresh sea air and savor the peace and tranquility of this idyllic location. Afterward, you will head to the souvenir shop to buy trinkets and local treats for your loved ones back home.

After the tour, be transferred to your hotel in Coron Town.

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up at the hotel in Coron Town and take you to enjoy Coron Ultimate Tour with various different experiences.

You will make your way to the port to board your boat for the day. Indulge your senses as you take a boat to your first stop, the world-renowned Kayangan Lake . Nestled in the heart of Coron, this crystal-clear freshwater oasis beckons with its stunning underwater rock formations, intricate caves, and picturesque islets. It's no wonder that photographers flock to this natural wonder, as it boasts unparalleled beauty and is widely regarded as the cleanest lake in the entire Philippines. As you approach the lake, you'll be awestruck by the towering limestone cliffs that encircle the water, providing an awe-inspiring backdrop for your photos. Beneath the surface, an array of vibrant aquatic life thrives, making it a popular destination for adventurous snorkelers and divers.

Later, go to have stunning experience at Barracuda Lake . Located on the north shore of Coron Island in the Philippines, Barracuda Lake is widely regarded as one of the most unique diving experiences in the world. It's occasionally referred to as Luluyuan Lake by the locals, and its crystal blue waters, hidden between majestic rocky formations, create a surreal and tranquil atmosphere. It offers divers the chance to experience a thermocline and halocline unlike anywhere else. As a combination of 70% freshwater and 30% saltwater, this natural wonder provides an otherworldly sensation as you pass through the thermocline and feel the temperature shift around you.

Then, enjoy the stunning Twin Lagoon . It is called Twin Lagoons as there are two lakes which are separated with a rugged piece of limestone rock. The first lagoon is filled with saltwater while the second lagoon is filled with freshwater. You can experience the varying water temperatures or try swim, snorkel, or kayak in the Twin Lagoon.

Later, go to CYC Beach named after the Coron Youth Club, offering quiet and relaxing beach getaway. The beach has white sand and clear waters, dotted with mangrove trees and rock formations that make for a beautiful beachscape. It is an ideal spot for swimming, sunbathing, and picnicking.

In this afternoon, explore the Banul Beach , a small stretch of dazzlingly white, powder like sand, with incredibly clear water, where lunch is usually served during Coron Island Hopping Tour. Banul Beach is a public beach, surrounded by a majestic backdrop of limestone cliffs, similar to the beaches in Coron Island.

After, get ready to have some fun at Skeleton Wreck/Balinsasayaw. Located on the northwest corner of Coron Island, Skeleton Wreck is a popular dive site that's also great for snorkeling. The wreck rests at a depth of 5 to 22 meters at the stern, making it easy to spot from just off the shore. As you snorkel, you'll be treated to an abundance of colorful fish, creating a stunning underwater world to explore.

Your last stop today is Two Peaks Coral Garden , a better and more beautiful underwater world protected by Coron. The underwater coral reefs here are complete in variety, huge in area, rich in color and strange in layout, which are among the best in the world. It provides you with a fantastic view of aqua life - coral reefs, giant clams, giant turtles, lots of very colourful fishes and marine life.

After the tour, you will be escorted to your hotel in Coron Town.

After breakfast, you will be picked up at your hotel and transferred to take the activity for “ Coron-Reef and Wrecks ”.

First, take a 2-hour boat ride to Pass Island , a small beautiful island off of Busuanga in Palawan. With its pristine white sand beaches, swaying coconut trees, and cozy bungalows, Pass Island is a paradise waiting to be discovered. The main beach boasts a long stretch of soft white sand, while secluded coves offer a more intimate and private setting. Indulge in ultimate relaxation as you soak up the sun and unwind on the beach.

Later, continue your exploration at Lusong Coral Garden (also called Sangat Coral Garden). It is considered the largest and best coral garden in Coron, featuring a large scale, a variety of coral species, and rich colors of coral. Explore Lusong Gunboat , a sought-after snorkeling and diving site in Coron Bay. This shallow area boasts a sunken shipwreck at a depth of ten meters, making it ideal for beginners and experts alike. The gunboat, which is approximately 25 meters in length, lies on its side at an angle and its stern can be seen during low tide, offering a fascinating glimpse into history and marine life.

Next, explore Shipwreck , a series of impressive wreck sites for diving and snorkeling in Palawan. There are 12 sunken wartime ships at the bottom of the ocean, the result of an attack on the Imperial Japanese Navy by US Navy aircraft during the Second World War in September 1944. You will have a chance to dive at East Tangat Wreck , which sunk on September 24, 1944 and is believed to have been either a tugboat or an anti-submarine craft. This shipwreck is 40 meters or 130 feet long and 500 gross tons, and it lies listing to starboard down a sandy slope with the stern at 22 meters or 72 feet.

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up at your hotel and take you to enjoy “Coron Escapade Tour” to Malcapuya Island, Banana Island and Bulog Dos Island.

First, take a relaxing scenic boat ride to Malcapuya Island , which is a white sand island located two hours from Coron city. Dubbed as the most beautiful island in Palawan, Malcapuya Island boasts fine white sand beaches and crystal-clear waters with distinct layers of colors, perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and taking beautiful photos.

Next, be taken to Banana Island . The island is named after its shape, which resembles a banana. It features a narrow strip of white sandy beach set against the backdrop of forested, hilly terrain. You can take a nice walk or just relax and enjoy the views on this island.

Afterward, you'll have the chance to explore  Bulog Dos Island , a stunning sandbar that's part of the renowned beaches in the Calamianes archipelago in Coron, Palawan. Among the stops on your itinerary, Bulog Dos is the smallest, allowing you to leisurely tour the area in less than an hour.

After the tour, you will be transferred to the hotel in Coron Town.

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up at your hotel and take you to enjoy “Coron Safari Tour” to Calauit Wildlife Safari, Ocam-Ocam Beach, Concepcion Falls and Malbato Church.

You will first go to explore Calauit Wildlife Safari Park , a wildlife sanctuary in the Philippines. This park is home to a diverse range of exotic African and endemic Palawan flora and fauna, where you can witness hundreds of giraffes, elans, waterbucks, Calamian deer, monkeys, fresh water crocodiles, zebras, bear cats, bushbuck, and a variety of birds roaming freely. Explore some of the enclosures to see the stunning variety of local wildlife up close and personal.

Later, you'll be transferred to the gorgeous Ocam-Ocam Beach , a long and inviting stretch of sand dotted with charming native huts. Here, you can treat yourself to some freshly grilled fish and a refreshing drink, while relax at the beautiful beach.

Next on your itinerary is a visit to the Concepcion Falls . Though small in size, this magnificent waterfall boasts a height of around 3 to 4 meters and a diameter of approximately ten meters, creating a stunning plunge pool. The water in the pool is shallow, measuring only around 2 feet, while the deepest part at the base of the falls is around 7 feet. Prepare to be mesmerized by the power and beauty of this natural wonder.

The last stop today is to Malbato Church , perched atop a hill in Sitio Malbato in Coron. This beautiful church is also known as the St. Vincent Ferrer Chapel, adding to its rich historical and cultural significance. A short trek up some stairs is required to get to the chapel. You will experience a sense of serenity when inside the church, and enjoy a great view when standing on it, as it overlooks the surrounding area.

On this day, you will have some free time in Coron until your guide and driver will escort you to the airport/port for your flight or boat/ferry to next destination.

Coron is seriously beautiful. The island is known for its world-famous freshwater lagoons and majestic limestone cliffs. Every year, tourists from all over the world flock to try this enchanting paradise. I’ve been looking forward to visiting for years, and when the opportunity finally came, I decided I wanted a taste of everything.

During my week-long visit to Coron, Palawan, I took a mix of private and group tours and enjoyed some better than others. Here are my honest reviews and advice to help you plan your time on this beautiful island:

Big Dream Boat Man Coron Island Life Expedition, $450

The BDBM Coron Island Life Expedition may have been my favorite adventure in the Philippines. For three days, I and a small group of fellow travelers from all around the world joined the BDBM crew as they took us to both the iconic spots in Coron, such as the Twin Lagoon and Kayangan Lake, and also secret places off the beaten path, such as this gorgeous cay that reminds me of the Maldives:

We spent our days swimming in the ocean, eating delicious seafood, and taking naps on the multihull nets by our adorable Banka boat in between. We slept in cottages under the stars at night, with nobody else around us. It was truly an adventure like no other and a refreshing experience compared to the typical island hopping tours available all over town. I cannot recommend this expedition enough and would love to check out their Coron to El Nido or El Nido to Coron adventure the next time I visit.

Initially, the price tag may seem exorbitant, but you are covered with three days of island hopping, all meals and drinks (including alcohol), and three nights of island-style accommodation. Coron Super Ultimate Day Tour, $28.95

If your time on Coron island is short, and you only have enough time for one day trip, the Coron Super Ultimate Day Tour covers all the highlights, including Kayangan Lake, Barracuda Lake, Twin Lagoon, two reef gardens, and two beaches. I joined the group tour expecting it to be a little bit overwhelming but was pleasantly surprised by how well spread out the day was, and our group even had Kayangan Lake all to ourselves for a good 15 minutes.

For $28.95, this tour includes hotel transfers, a professional English-speaking guide who is informational and entertaining, seven stops, and a buffet lunch break on the beach. The pace of the tour is relaxing, with ample time at each stop and a well-thought-out route that allows rest in between stops.

You can rent snorkeling gear for 150 PHP, which is generally true for both Coron and El Nido island hopping group tours. I was happy to have my own snorkeling gear. Bring a refillable water bottle, water shoes, and reef-safe sunscreen for this tour.

Coron Island Escapade Day Tour, $28.25

The Coron Island Escapade Day Tour covers Malcapuya island, Ditaytayan island, and Bulog Dos island, three beautiful spots with unique views and decent snorkeling on Malcapuya island, of which you have the option of swimming out from the beach or paying 100 PHP for a small boat to pull you over while you hold on to the planks on the side of the boat. I opted for the latter simply because I had never tried that method and found the experience amusing.

To be honest, I have mixed feelings about this tour. It’s definitely value for money given the distance from Coron Town Proper to these islands, but it felt like we spent more time on the boat than on the islands on this tour. I also didn’t like that the small boat’s guide (not from the tour) fed the fish biscuits and fiddled with the corals to get the fish out, so people can get great photos. Overall, given that I had joined the BDBM expedition and visited many islands earlier, I was not blown away by this tour.

That being said, if you are looking for a relaxing day tour with lots of time spent sunbathing and swimming, this is the tour for you. interested in joining this tour, I recommend bringing along a Kindle to kill time on the boat. I also recommend swimming out alone instead of paying for the small boat to snorkel on Malcapuya island.

All of the above tours are great if you are traveling solo and would like to meet others on your trip, but if you are in a group or simply prefer privacy, a private tour may make more sense:

Private Island Hopping Tour, prices vary

Private tours are expensive, for good reasons. On group tours, I often wish we had more time on certain stops and less on others, but that’s not really up to me. Customizing your itinerary is only possible with a private tour; at each stop, you can come and go as you please. I also noticed that group tours departing from Coron town follow the same route, so unless you happen to be the first boat out, you will share space with others. On a private tour, you can organize the boat to leave much earlier in the day so that you get to experience the popular places without the crowds.

Here are your options if you plan to do a private island hopping tour:

• Coron Tour A (CYC Beach, coral garden, Atwayan Beach, Siete Pecado, and Kayangan Lake): $106.15 for 1, $128.90 for 2, $152.97 for 3-5, and so on.
• Coron Tour B (Barracuda Lake, Skeleton Wreck, Banol Beach, Twin Lagoon, and Reef Garden): $107.25 for 1, $129.80 for 2, $149.97 for 3-5, and so on.
• Coron Tour C (Coco Beach, Ditaytayan Island, and Malcapuya Island): $151.15 for 1, $88.85 for 2, $66.90 for 3-5, and so on.

All of these tours include hotel transfers, buffet lunch, snorkeling masks, and entrance fees.

Based on the pricing, it’s definitely worth taking up a private tour if you are a group of 5 or more. Now, what if you want complete control of the itinerary? Head straight to the dock (tell the tricycle driver you want to go to Calamian dock, and he’ll know what you mean), and negotiate with the boat drivers yourself. Here’s a detailed guide on organizing a private Coron island hopping tour.

Coron Town Private Half Day Tour, prices vary.

I wanted to check out Mt. Tapyas and Maquinit Hotspring during my stay on Coron island. I rented a bike for half the day for $7 and went on my own . If you are not confident on a bike, the Coron Town Half Day Tour will be the best solution since it takes you to both spots, plus Lualhati Park, a cashew factory, and St. Agustin Church. This is a private tour, and prices are $59.19 for 1, $37.35 for 2, $34.95 for 3-5, and so on. As you can see, this tour only makes sense if you are at least 2, so if you are a solo traveler and are not confident on a bike, I suggest negotiating with a tricycle driver to take you to these places at a cheaper rate.

Coron Island Hopping – The Ultimate Guide For 2024

Coron Island Hopping is one of the best things to do in Palawan!

There are many different Coron Island tour packages to choose from, but I’ll be discussing the best one to book later on this post.

I have put together this complete guide to Coron Island Hopping including where to book, how much it costs, and what to expect on the Coron Ultimate Island Tour.

Let’s start this guide with all the essentials you should know about Coron Island Hopping, from where to book and more.

I personally booked the Coron Ultimate Tour online in advance and I highly recommend you do the same.

Coron Super Ultimate Tour is the most top-rated Coron Island Hopping Tour Package with great reviews.

This particular Coron Island tour includes a full day of island hopping on an outrigger boat to Siete Pecados Marine Park, Kayangan Lake, Barracuda Lake, BBQ lunch on Beach 91, Skeleton Wreck, CYC Beach, and Twin Lagoon.

CORON ISLAND HOPPING – WHAT TO EXPECT

The island hopping Coron begins with a hotel pick-up between 7:30 and 8:00 am and a transfer to meet the boat in Coron Bay.

The Coron Island tour starts at around 9 am and returns again between 4 pm – 5 pm.

Do note that there is an additional fee of 150 pesos to rent snorkeling gear on the tour.

Before jumping on the boat, there are many vendors selling waterproof phone cases, dry bags, reef booties, and all other sorts of products that you may be interested in purchasing.

Prices vary so put your bartering skills to the test!

Once you’re all geared up, jump on the boat to begin the Coron Palawan island hopping.

SIETE PECADOS MARINE PARK

The first stop of the Coron Ultimate Tour is Siete Pecados Marine Park and the perfect opportunity to jump in the ocean, get wet and discover the underwater world at this incredible marine sanctuary.

I couldn’t believe the size of some of the fish and the abundance of other marine life I saw while snorkeling here at Siete Pecados Marine Park!

It really goes to show that they have been doing a great job preserving the sea life and standing by their no-fishing laws at this location.

Some of the features of the reef are large staghorn coral, table corals, and gorgonian fans.

Schools of fish inhabit the colorful corals, large barracuda skim along the surface and green sea turtles frequent the area.

Safe to say that Siete Pecados Marine Park was the perfect start to a full day of island hopping in Coron!

KAYANGAN LAKE

The next stop on this island hopping Coron Palawan is Kayangan Lake which is hands-down one of the most popular Coron tourist spots so you can expect to encounter many other tour boats and visitors at this location.

Despite the crowds, Kayangan Lake is a phenomenal attraction and I guarantee you’ll have an awesome experience!

There is a picture-perfect lagoon where the boat arrives prior to walking over the hill to Kayangan Lake which is a natural beauty in itself.

I decided to fly my drone camera here to capture it all from a birds-eye perspective and I was in complete awe, to say the least!

For all of you drone pilots out there, be careful when flying around the cliffs as the signal is very weak and many drones have been known to drop out of the sky and sink.

I just wanted to give you a heads-up and be aware of this. I took the risk and flew cautiously with no issues.

To reach Kayangan Lake, you’ll have to walk across an over-the-water boardwalk and over the hill via a set of stairs which takes no more than 5 to 10 minutes.

The trail emerges at an open clearing and to where you’ll get your first glimpse of the crystal-clear Kayangan Lake and the surrounding limestone cliffs.

I jumped headfirst into the freshwater lake and began to explore the underwater cliffs that Kayanagan is most famous for. I have never seen anything like it!

There are also a few fish swimming around in Kayangan Lake but the main attraction is definitely the epic rock formations under the surface!

We spent around 1 hour at Kayangan Lake before heading back to the boat to continue to the next location.

BARRACUDA LAKE

Barracuda Lake is the third stop on the island-hopping tour Coron and another epic underwater phenomenon worth throwing your mask and snorkel on for.

The entrance to Barracuda Lake is another picture-perfect lagoon with a wooden boardwalk that leads over the jagged cliffs and down into the lake.

Similar to Kayangan Lake, it features a large freshwater lake and underwater limestone cliffs which gives Barracuda Lake its vibrant blue color.

It’s the perfect spot for freedivers as the water beneath the surface is incredibly clear and the view of the underwater cliffs is unreal.

Barracuda Lake gets its name from a large amount of barracuda fish skeletons that were found in the depths of the lake.

I did not see any skeletons myself, but I did come face to face with a few barracudas swimming around at the surface.

BBQ LUNCH ON BEACH 91

By midday, we all had rumbling tummies and it was the perfect time to arrive at Beach 91 for a BBQ lunch on the beachfront.

Beach 91 is a slice of paradise boasting white sands and towering cliffs which is tucked away in a little cove.

A buffet lunch is served under a sheltered beach hut on the shoreline and it’s a mix of rice, noodles, salads, fish, crab, chicken, pork, and fruits.

There is more than enough to go around, so be sure to go up for seconds if you wish!

There are some kayaks sitting around on the shoreline at Beach 91 for anyone to use free of charge.

After my food was digested, I grabbed a kayak and went for a paddle around the cliffs with two other lads from Israel that were on my Coron day tour as well.

We found an epic lagoon that was so expansive that we could have spent hours exploring if we had the time.

My favorite spot that I discovered on my little kayaking adventure was a secluded beach with a lone beach hut on its shoreline and a towering limestone cliff behind it.

The boat captain whistled for us to head back to the boat to continue to our next destination.

SKELETON WRECK

Skeleton Wreck is a stone’s throw away from Beach 91, featuring a 25-meter Japanese shipwreck that was struck and sunk sometime during WWII.

Skeleton Wreck is one of the more popular stops, so just a heads up you’ll see many legs in the water at this location.

Skeleton Wreck is a great spot for freedivers and for those who are not comfortable diving down, snorkeling above the wreck is just as amazing.

The bow of the shipwreck is only about 5 meters below the surface whereas the stern is around 20 meters deep.

Although the name Skeleton Wreck suggests something, you won’t find any skeletons inside the shipwreck.

They say the name comes from the rib features that are present on the inside of the shipwreck.

The schools of fish that circulate Skeleton Wreck Coron are not afraid to get up close and personal so don’t be alarmed when they do because it’s a pretty awesome experience in itself.

Capture All Your Adventures!

The second last stop on the tour is CYC Beach which is a tiny little island surrounded by an expansive coral reef and home to an idyllic stretch of sand, fringed with mangrove trees.

Besides snorkeling the reef here at CYC Beach there isn’t much more to do other than beach bum on the shoreline, wander around the mangroves or grab a cold beverage from one of the local boat vendors.

I decided not to swim from the boat to CYC Beach and send my drone up instead.

Once again, I was blown away by the birds-eye perspective I was getting of these beautiful landscapes in Coron.

TWIN LAGOON CORON

Last but not least on the itinerary was Twin Lagoon which is a spot I was looking forward to the most on the Coron Island Hopping adventure!

Twin Lagoon is exactly as it sounds – a pair of turquoise blue lagoons enveloped between towering jagged limestone cliffs that looked like something out of a movie!

Our boat pulled into the cove and tied off beneath the vertical cliff walls. Everyone on my boat was quick to jump in and swim towards the entrance to the Twin Lagoons.

I, on the other hand, decided to fly my drone for the last time and boy am glad I did.

The whole area that surrounds Twin Lagoon is other-worldly and I will let the pictures below do the talking for this one!

I landed the drone safely and the captain said I still had around 20 minutes before we needed to make tracks back to the mainland, so I quickly swam inside Twin Lagoon for a quick look.

Floating around inside Twin Lagoon, marveling at the incredible surroundings was the icing on the cake.

I can contentedly say that the Coron Ultimate Island Tour was one of the best experiences I had in the Philippines!

The cruise back to Coron Port takes around 30 minutes on the boat and a hotel drop-off concluded the Coron Ultimate Tour!

WHERE TO STAY IN CORON

Coron has countless accommodation options to choose from, so I have narrowed it down to a few of the best places to stay in Coron to fit the needs of budget backpackers, luxury travelers, and everyone in between.

Hi Johnny. Are you a tourist operator or a travel agent? Do you live in or have an office in Coron? I am an 82 year old Sydney Australia resident keen to spend some time in Coron and do tours to Coron Island. Your description of the Coron (Island Hopping) Ultimate Tour is very enticing. I am fairly fit – still play water polo and love skin diving / snorkelling. I have read that in some locations the “caretaker / manager” requires life vests to be worn so I am wondering how can the tourists go skin – diving in those areas? A quick drive around Busuanga might be a good thing to do but how do I chose a good driver? I am planning to stay in Corto del Mar Hotel and would be inclined to get their help with bookings and enquiries. cheers Jon

Naturally, this also means it offers less options in terms of resorts and activities. For that reason, many people choose to combine both of these locations into their tour package in Palawan , so they can enjoy the best of both worlds.

What to do?

Choosing the right tours can be a bit tricky, so we are always here to help. If you feel yourself getting overwhelmed with the choices, just let us know and we’ll try and describe each to you and help you come to a decision. In any case, the first thing to consider is what’s your budget and how much extra are you willing to spend to enjoy an exclusive experience.

The cheapest and most popular tours are the group ones. You’ll be joining a sail boat that can hold up to 16 persons, so it’s a great opportunity to save some money and meet new people. The downside is of course you get a much less private experience and waiting times are longer.

The speedboat option is significantly more expensive for couples, but the difference becomes more negligible the bigger your group is. It can host up to 10 people at most, and the advantage is you will arrive at all the locations much faster. This means not just increased comfort, but also more importantly that you’ll be able to get there before the sailboat tours arrive and enjoy these beautiful places all to yourself.

Private Island hopping tours

If your budget is not strict, there are many different advantages to booking a private tour. Firstly, its much faster and more comfortable. You will reach the popular tourists spots faster and get to enjoy them all to yourself. Then, there’s the fact you get to cover much greater distances, meaning you will be able to visit more places in a single day.

Lastly, the main advantage of these tours is how flexible they are. You will not be bound to a strict itinerary and everything is subject to change.

Most of these tours are also available with a regular boat as part of a group. You can read below and compare the differences in price before making your choice. The only 2 tours which are only available as private tours are the Busuanga Bay hidden island adventure and the ultimate island escapade.

All of our private island hopping tours include hotel pickup, licensed tour guide, life vest and snorkeling gear, BBQ picnic lunch and all fees . Since there’s only a limited number of speedboats in Coron, it is better if you book these tours as much in advance as you can. Prices below show private and group tours with a bangka (pumpboat), speedboat fares are based on availability and group size - so please contact us for a quote.

• Coron Island Tour : This is the standard island hopping tour, taking you to all the famous landmarks such as the Twin lagoons, Kangyan Lake, Coral Eden and Siete Pecados. Additional spots can be added based on your preferences. The price for a couple is 85 USD per person.
• Expedition Island Escapade : A chance to visit the most remote islands and beaches, to enjoy a 100% private island experience. The main highlights here are Bulog Sandbar and Malcapuya Island, but you also get to see a ton of other small islands as part of the tour. Price for this day tour is slightly higher since islands are farther away and starts at 90 USD per person if you are a couple.
• Reefs and Wrecks Snorkeling : For us, this is the quintessential Coron island hopping tour. It highlights everything that is unique about this wonderful island and takes you to a great adventure along its many attractions. You’ll visit the Lusong and Sangat gunboat wrecks, as well as the Coral Garden and Pass Island. Price for a couple is 90 USD per person.
• Busuanga Bay 5 Remote Islands : Only available as a private tour with speedboat, this unique full day adventure takes you all the way to Coron’s western side where some of the most beautiful and remote islands are found. Black island is the main attraction, along with Pamalican and the hidden bay. The itinerary is quite flexible and you can have your boatmean do whatever you like. Price for a couple starts at 400 USD per person.
• Ultimate Island Escapade : As the name suggests, this tour combines all the best attractions in Coron. It is basically a combination of the island tour and the island escapade. You will start at Bulog and Malcapuya, before making your way to the Twin Lagoons and Kayangan Lake. If you only have 1 day for island hopping, this is the tour you should take. Price for a couple starts at 90 USD per person.

All tours above start at 8am with a pick up from your resort. This means you should be ready and have your breakfast by 7:45 to avoid delays. The tours all end at around 4:30pm, although sometimes you might get back to your resort a bit later than that. Pickup and drop-off times are somewhat flexible, but it’s much better if you coordinate that with us ahead of time.

Group island hopping day tours

These tours are perfect for anyone who don’t want to break the bank but still enjoy everything Coron has to offer. We make to only work with the tour operators who have the best boats and equipment and are always on time. So, your experience should still be a very enjoyable one.

Even though the itineraries for these trips are quite similar to the ones presented in the private tour section, here you will have much less flexibility. Since this is a group tour, there isn’t that much room for personal requests along the way. Still, if there’s something which is very important to you to include we can give it a try as long as other group members won’t object.

• Coron Island Ecotour : This is the most popular shared island hopping activity, as it covers the most beautiful spots in Coron. Twin lagoons, Kangyan Lake, Coral Eden and Siete Pecados are all included.
• Expedition island escapade : Locations are exactly the same as the ones in the private tour.
• Reef and Wrecks tour : Similar tour to the private one, although you will probably have much less time in each spot you visit.
