The arrival of the play-along rhythm game comes at a significant landmark for Queen. With 50 years now having passed since the 1971 recruiting of John Deacon, completing Queen’s classic line-up, 2021 marks a Queen Golden Jubilee that the band was hoping to celebrate with fans. A massive 29-date European stadium and arena tour planned for this year has been forced to be delayed to 2022.

Queen’s music has been featured in major mobile music games before, but for the first time ever the band will be releasing their own dedicated mobile experience in Queen: Rock Tour.

Queen remain one of the most popular groups in the world today, transcending multiple generations of fans, a position further buoyed by the phenomenal global success of their Academy Award-winning 2018 biographical film Bohemian Rhapsody , which tells the incredible story of the band’s historic career and quickly became the highest grossing music biopic in history.

Queen fans can now challenge their rhythmic chops in an entirely new way with Queen: Rock Tour . That's the classic rock act's first official mobile video game that lets players perform along to some of the group's distinctive hits. It's available now for Android and iOS devices.

Twenty  Freddie Mercury -sung numbers — including "Bohemian Rhapsody," "We Will Rock You," "We Are the Champions" and "I Want to Break Free" — can be accessed at 10 different virtual concert venues. High scores let players access Queen trivia and exclusive archival photos.

The game arrives at an unprecedented moment for rock fans, as live concerts have been nil for a year since the coronavirus pandemic changed the way people can gather. Queen themselves had planned a big European tour to celebrate their 2021 Golden Jubilee — 50 years since their 1971 recruiting of bassist John Deacon — which has now been put off until 2022.

In the meantime, Queen lovers can make up for it with Rock Tour .

Queen + Adam Lambert’s 150-minute career-spanning set list celebrates the band’s extraordinary back catalogue, lining up wall-to-wall immortal anthems like “We Will Rock You”, “Don’t Stop Me Now”, “Radio Ga Ga”, and “Somebody To Love” alongside classic deep cuts and vintage fan favourites. Queen + Adam Lambert appreciate that it is an enormous task to try and stop scalpers from taking advantage of fans wanting to purchase tickets for the tour. In an effort to help minimize resale and keep ticket prices at face value for fans, the band are collaborating with the venues’ ticketing partners to restrict the ability to transfer tickets for The Rhapsody Tour so that they may only be transferred between fans at the original price. 

Fans will still have protection against unforeseen circumstances. Those who purchase tickets and are no longer able to attend their show will be able to sell their tickets at the price they paid using a face value ticket exchange, including the Ticketmaster Face Value Exchange – which is free to use for buyers and sellers. Unfortunately, the states of NY, IL, and CO have laws in place which protect ticket scalpers – these laws prohibit artists from being able to restrict the transfer of their tickets to face value exchanges only. 2021 marks the massively popular iconic British rock band Queen’s 50th anniversary . Amidst the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, it’s uncertain when the band will be able to celebrate the milestone with a physical tour. However, they’ve found a way to bring fans back to some of the most iconic shows in their lauded history. Gameloft for brands in partnership with  Universal Music Group  and Hollywood Records has released their first-ever official Queen musical mobile game for Android and iOS titled Queen: Rock Tour . Gameloft is one of the mobile platform’s most successful developers. Many of Queen’s songs have been featured in certain mobile games in the past. But the release of Queen: Rock Tour marks the rock band’s first official game on mobile devices.

If you’re a Queen fan, you’ll be addicted!

Very addictive game! Just what I needed in lockdown. And quite emotional for Queen fans! Stop complaining that you have to pay after two songs! The app has clearly had a LOT of work put into it and £2.99 seems amazing value to me for what you get. It’s full length songs, not shortened versions, you get to unlock lots of cool things like trivia/memories and outfits for the band members. The graphics are great and the levels of difficulty are addictive to try and master! The creators of the app deserve to be paid for their work. £2.99 is not a big ask.

I never thought that a guitar hero-based game would work on the iOS Boy, was I wrong... This game is brilliant! Great graphics, perfect sound, a fair balance of easy - medium difficulty. I love it. Played the demo/free version, then (without hesitation) Immediently brought the full package. Worth every Penny. Brings a certain nostalgia, with a great selection of tracks However, we need more tracks. I’m a huge Queen fan, and would gladly pay for more. I’d give my soul for it. I am a little disappointed that some tracks, which should have made it into the game, didn’t (Innuendo, Brighton rock, show must go on, the miracle, friends will be friends). Perhaps a free “thank god it’s Christmas” near the winter season? Maybe a song purchasing option could be included, like the guitar hero DLC... Still, this is a blast. You can even choose what the band members wear, and customise their clothing (including many of Freddie’s iconic outfits) Simply outstanding! Keep up the awesome work!

I Want It All!

Well for £2.99 I’m in. A fantastic little mobile game and great on a tablet - just like Guitar Hero but across all 4 members at once playing 2 songs from each album they took on tour. 20 full songs also, not short edited ones. You can use in-game winnings to unlock trivia and photos, upgrade each band member and kit them out on decade / tour appropriate outfits. And you only pay for the cost of the game. It’s Queen through and through and a wonderful, bright, energetic and bombastic time filler! Love it and really hope we get a few more songs in future to tackle! 🎸
