“Weird Al” Yankovic is eager to get back on the road after a long pandemic break, which is why it makes sense that the accordion squeezing polkamaniac rolled out a massive slate of 2022 dates for his cleverly named next tour.
As a sequel to his 77-date Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour in 2018, Al is revving up the odds and sods machine again for the 2022 The Unfortunate Return of the Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour , which will once again eschew his more famous parody songs and hits for deeper cuts. The singer’s site notes that the 133-date trek is once again not his normal outing, reminding fans that “this is a scaled-down tour with limited production (no costumes, props, or video screens) in smaller theatres and more intimate settings, and Al’s setlist will be comprised almost entirely of his original (non-parody) songs.”

The special guest on the tour that is slated to kick off on April 26 at the Bardavon Opera House in Poughkeepsie, New York is veteran comedian Emo Philips, who was also the opener on the first go-round. The routing will keep Al on the road through an Oct. 29 show at new York’s Carnegie Hall, his first-ever gig at that venerable venue. “I’ve loved doing every single incarnation of my live show, but honestly the Vanity tour is the most fun I’ve ever had on stage,” Yankovic said in a statement, “so I’ve been dying to get back out there and torture everybody with it once again!”

So, while fans on the previous tour didn’t get favorites such as “Eat It,” “Fat” or “My Bologna,” each set list on the original Self-Indulgent tour featured a rotation of more than 50 originals, including “The Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota,” “Christmas at Ground Zero,” “Generic Blues,” “I Was Only Kidding,” “Mr. Frump in the Iron Lung,” “The Night Santa Went Crazy” and many more. Tickets for the tour go on sale on Dec. 10.

‘Weird Al’ Yankovic Announces 133-Date ‘Ill-Advised Vanity Tour’ For 2022
By Andy Greene
Andy Greene
“Weird Al” Yankovic is returning to the road next year for an encore run of his Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour that he’s calling The Unfortunate Return of the Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour. It will once against focus on his lesser-known album tracks and skip over nearly all of his famous parody songs.
It kicks off April 23rd, 2022 and wraps up October 29th with Yankovic’s first-ever show at New York’s Carnegie Hall. Along the way, he’s playing an incredible 133 shows.
“I’ve loved doing every single incarnation of my live show, but honestly the Vanity tour is the most fun I’ve ever had on stage,” Yankovic said in a statement, “so I’ve been dying to get back out there and torture everybody with it once again!”
The first incarnation of the Vanity tour took place in 2018. Unlike every Yankovic tour of the past, it was staged without costume changes, video screens, or famous parody songs like “Fat,” “Eat It,” and “Smells Like Nirvana” with the exception of a short medley at the end of the night and a grand finale of “Yoda.”
Instead, he played fan favorites like “Nature Trail to Hell,” “Jackson Park Express,” “Dog Seat Dog,” You Don’t Love Me Anymore,” and “Albuquerque.” Every night featured a different cover song in the encore like “Cinnamon Girl,” “Blister in the Sun,” “Fire and Rain,” and “Girl U Want.”
In 2017, Yankovic told Rolling Stone that he got the idea near the end of one of his regular concert tours. “I think I was in the middle of putting on my ‘Fat’ suit for the thousandth time and getting ready to go back onstage,” he said. “I was thinking, ‘Gosh, next time I go on tour I don’t know if I want to be doing this. I think I need to take a break from all the theatrics. Wouldn’t it be nice to just do a really scaled down, low-key, casual show for the hardcore fans and just go out and be musicians?'”
Just like in 2017, comedian Emo Phillips will serve as an opening act on the tour. “He’s one of my oldest friends, and I also happen to think he’s one of the funniest guys in the world,” Yankovic told Rolling Stone in 2017. “I know that my fans love Emo from his appearance in UHF and also because he’s Emo. He’s an icon.”
Head over to WeirdAl.com for the complete list of dates. Tickets go on sale Friday December 10th.

Prepare your air accordion.
Weird Al just announced he’s embarking on his ‘Bigger & Weirder Tour’ that will send him and special guest Puddles Pity Party to venues all over North America from June from September 2025.
Early in the run, the “Like A Surgeon” singer will make four stops in New York.
First, Yankovic is slated to swing into Buffalo’s Darien Lake Amphitheater on July 11. After that, he’ll bring his one-of-a-kind parodies to New York City’s Madison Square Garden on July 12, Bethel’s Bethel Woods Center For The Arts on July 13 and Saratoga Springs’ Saratoga Performing Arts Center on July 17.
And, yes, Weird Al really is going bigger and weirder this time as promised.
“We’re back to doing a full-production high-energy show and playing the hits… and we’re super-sizing the band for this one – adding 4 more musicians! – so we can play a few things we’ve never been able to play live before!” the 64-year-old shared on Instagram . “This show is gonna be INSANE!”
As of now, there is no news about whether or not Yankovic has another album in the works; most recently, he dropped the rousing four-minute “Polkamania!” — which reimagines tunes by Billie Eilish , Adele , Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo , Taylor Swift and more as polka — back in July.
Fans can purchase tickets for all upcoming ‘Bigger & Weirder’ shows on sites like Vivid Seats; the official on-sale is Friday, Sept. 27.
Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.
They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

Weird Al set list
While it appears Weird Al mixes things up at live shows, here’s what he performed at his last full headlining gig in Kahului, HI back on March 26, 2023.
01.) “Fun Zone” 02.) “Lame Claim to Fame” 03.) “Melanie” 04.) “Close but No Cigar” 05.) “Bob” 06.) “Dare to Be Stupid” (Lounge version) 07.) “Dog Eat Dog” 08.) “One More Minute” 09.) “Good Old Days” 10.) “When I Was Your Age” 11.) “Nature Trail to Hell” 12.) “The Night Santa Went Crazy” 13.) “I’ll Sue Ya” 14.) “You Don’t Love Me Anymore” 15.) “Craigslist” 16.) “CNR” 17.) “Albuquerque”
18.) “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” (Carole King cover) 19.) “Amish Paradise / Smells Like Nirvana / White & Nerdy / Word Crimes / Yoda”
The above comes courtesy of Set List FM .
Weird Al new music
This past July, Weird Al released two singles. On top of the aforementioned “Polkamania!,” he also put out “Deja Vu (But Worse)” with The Gregory Brothers.
In the five-minute ditty, Yankovic belts over auto-tuned soundbites from President Joe Biden and Republican candidate Donald Trump. Unfortunately, the track is already a bit dated since Biden dropped out of the race after its release.
That being said, it’s still very fun and includes a deft “Temple of Doom” burn.
If you’d like to hear both goofy tracks, you can find them here .
Puddles Pity Party
For those unfamiliar with Puddles Pity Party , who is currently on tour , we’re about to blow your mind.
The vocalist appears onstage in full clown regalia — including caked-on makeup — and delivers earnest, heartbreaking covers of songs you know and love like “All The Small Things,” “Royals,” “Mad World” and more.

Weird Al's Bigger & Weirder Tour in Phoenix: How to get tickets
"Weird Al” Yankovic is bringing his Bigger & Weirder 2025 Tour to Arizona Financial Theatre in downtown Phoenix on Sunday, Aug. 31, 2025.
After two world tours in smaller venues with scaled-down, intimate shows featuring his original songs, the five-time Grammy winner returns to the big stage with a full-production multimedia comedy rock show for the first time in six years, playing his hits as well as some fan favorites that have never been performed live.
The show will have a giant video wall, multiple costume changes and an eight-piece ensemble featuring Weird Al’s original band.
Weird Al issued a statement saying, “This is kind of a ‘best of both worlds’ tour. We’ll be doing all the big crowd-pleasing parodies as well as some deep cuts for the hardcore fans — but with twice as many players on stage, everything is going to sound twice as good!”
Earlier this year, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of “Mandatory Fun," the only comedy album in history to debut at No. 1 on Billboard's album chart, Weird Al released “Polkamania!,” a medley of some of the biggest songs of the last decade by artists like Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, Adele and Taylor Swift.
He also recently celebrated the 35th anniversary of his cult classic film “UHF,” with a new 4K/UHD/Blu-Ray release with bonus features.
Al Yankovic has sold more records than any comedy act in history and is known around the world for his parodies of hits by Madonna, Taylor Swift, Michael Jackson, Usher, Nirvana, Eminem, Queen, Lady Gaga and more.

“Weird Al” Yankovic is set to play his biggest hits on his 2025 tour dates.
Yankovic will make three Upstate New York stops on “The Bigger & Weirder 2025 Tour,” including at the Darien Lake Amphitheater near Buffalo on Friday, July 11, the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts on Sunday, July 13, and the Broadview Stage at SPAC (Saratoga Performing Arts Center) in Saratoga Springs on Thursday, July 17. Special guest Puddles Pity Party, a 7-foot-tall sad clown who appeared on “America’s Got Talent,” will open all three shows.
Tickets go on sale Friday, Sept. 27, at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster . A Live Nation presale will begin Wednesday at 10 a.m. with special access code SETLIST, according to Consequence of Sound .
Fans can also check resellers like VividSeats , StubHub , TicketNetwork or SeatGeek for tickets.
“Weird Al” Yankovic is a comedy musician best known for his accordion-fueled parodies like “Eat It” (Michael Jackson’s “Beat It”), “Amish Paradise” (Coolio’s “Gangsta’s Paradise”), “Like a Surgeon” (Madonna’s “Like a Virgin”), “Another One Rides the Bus” (Queen’s “Another One Bites the Dust”), “Smells Like Nirvana” (Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit”) and “White & Nerdy” (Chamillionaire’s “Ridin’ Dirty”). He also performs original songs and polka medleys of popular music, including the recently released “Polkamania!” featuring covers of Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Lil Nas X and Cardi B.
According to a press release, “The Bigger & Weirder 2025 Tour” will include Yankovic’s greatest hits along with fan favorites and live rarities. The elaborate production will feature a giant video wall, multiple costume changes and an eight-piece backing ensemble that includes his original band.
“This is kind of a ‘best of both worlds’ tour,” Yankovic said in a statement. “We’ll be doing all the big crowd-pleasing parodies as well as some deep cuts for the hardcore fans — but with twice as many players on stage, everything is going to sound twice as good!”
Yankovic is also known for his film and TV career, including the cult classic “UHF” and the Emmy-winning biopic “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.” His credits include “Comedy Bang Bang,” “The Naked Gun,” “The Weird Al Show,” “The Simpsons,” “My Little Pony,” “Funny Or Die,” and directing music videos for Hanson, Ben Folds and the Presidents of the United States of America.
