London Travel Clinic is in partnership with CityDoc – Appointments for all travel health and vaccination advice.

Opening hours: Mon-Thurs 9am – 7pm / Fri 9am – 4pm / Sat 9am – 1pm

How to Get Here

Our Hove travel clinic is conveniently located near the centre of Hove, just a 10 minute walk from Hove train station, with several bus stops within walking distance too.

If you’re traveling by car, you can reach us via the A27 road if approaching from the north or we are a short distance up from the sea front. There is a small car park to the rear of the clinic.

We now provide private Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) at all our London clinics.

If you're planning to travel outside the UK, you may need to be vaccinated against some of the serious diseases found in other parts of the world.

In the UK, the NHS routine immunisation schedule protects you against a number of diseases, but does not cover all of the infectious diseases found overseas.

Not all travel vaccinations are available free on the NHS, even if they're recommended for travel to a certain area.

• Polio (given as a combined diphtheria/tetanus/polio jab)
• Hepatitis A

Which Travel Vaccines Will I Have To Pay For?

You'll have to pay for travel vaccinations against:

• Hepatitis B
• Japanese encephalitis
• Meningitis vaccines
• Tick-borne encephalitis
• Tuberculosis (TB)
• Yellow fever *

*Yellow fever vaccines are only available from designated centres.

When Should I Start Thinking About The Vaccines I Need?

We would request that you make an appointment at least 8 weeks before you're due to travel. Some vaccines need to be given well in advance to allow your body to develop immunity and some vaccines involve a number of doses spread over several weeks or months.

You may be more at risk of some diseases, for example, if you're:

• travelling in rural areas
• backpacking
• staying in hostels or camping
• on a long trip rather than a package holiday

If you have a pre-existing health problem, this may make you more at risk of infection or complications from a travel-related illness.

How Do I Make An Appointment?

Please contact the surgery on 01903 850900 after 2pm, to make an appointment. You will then be sent an online questionnaire to complete. Please complete this questionnaire as soon as possible as the nurse will look at this prior to your appointment.
