ABOUT JID: Born and raised in East Atlanta, Grammy nominated JID grew up on his parents’ collection of classic funk/soul LPs, and broke onto the scene with his 2015 EP, DiCaprio . The EP saw him collaborating with hip-hop duo EARTHGANG, whom he’d previously joined on a 2014 tour also including Bas and Ab-Soul. This is where he was spotted by J.Cole who promptly signed JID to his Interscope Records venture, Dreamville Records. Soon after signing to Dreamville, JID made his major-label debut with the widely celebrated The Never Story (2017) which was quickly followed by the critically acclaimed album DiCaprio 2 (2018). The sophomore project received major looks from press and tastemakers like Rolling Stone, Billboard, FADER, NPR and helped induct the rapper to the year’s XXL’s Freshmen class. In 2019, JID continued his momentum as rap’s most exciting additions with stellar contributions on Dreamville’s Platinum certified compilation Revenge of the Dreamers III which went on to debut #1 on the Billboard Top 200 charts and received multiple GRAMMY nominations including “Best Rap Album” and “Best Rap Performance.” JID began working on his follow up effort The Forever Story during this time all while selling out venues and festival stages across the world and lending his rap stylings to peer projects including the Grammy nominated Planet HER by Doja Cat as well as Dua Lipa, Denzel Curry, Amine and more recently John Legend and Joey Badass. Christened “one of hip-hop’s most refreshing voices” by Pitchfork, Smino is one of the game’s most dynamic musical disruptors. Raised in a family of musicians, the rapper, writer, and producer began playing drums in his native St. Louis at an early age. As an adult, he moved to Chicago and connected with Classick Studios to release his first two EPs, S!ck S!ck S!ck and blkjuptr . JID and Smino are going on tour together next year. The Luv Is 4Ever Tour kicks off in January and runs through March. Check out the rappers’ joint schedule below.

Earlier this year, JID released his new album The Forever Story . And, on October 28, Smino will issue Luv 4 Rent , featuring the new track “ 90 Proof .” The rappers have previously collaborated on the single “ Baguetti ” and the Revenge of the Dreamers III song “ 1993 .”

21 Savage, Bryson Tiller, Gunna, And More To Celebrate Live Nation's Concert Week With $25 Tickets

With so many Hip Hop and R&B albums releasing this year, a growing concern among fans has been how they’ll attend all their favorite artists’ shows without breaking the bank. Luckily, Live Nation announced its annual Concert Week today (May 1). 

As a part of the occasion, tickets for acts like A Boogie wit da Hoodie, 21 Savage, Gunna, Bryson Tiller, and more will be on sale for $25 plus service fees and taxes. The general public will be able to purchase passes from May 8 to 14 with a standard ticket limit of eight.

21 Savage’s “ The American Dream Tour ” starts on May 1 at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena. He’ll visit 30 cities across the United States, including Los Angeles, Phoenix, Austin, Houston, Chicago, and Charlotte, among others. Scheduled supporting acts include former collaborators JID, Nardo Wick, and 21 Lil Harold.

On the other hand, Gunna is bringing Flo Milli on the road for his “ Bittersweet Tour .” The pair will begin their journey on May 4 in Columbus, Ohio at the Schottenstein Center. They’ll subsequently make rounds in Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco, Houston, Miami, and Nashville before concluding at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta on June 11.

The trek will arrive in promotion of Gunna’s forthcoming LP, ONE OF WUN , which currently has no release date. So far, the Georgia rapper has released singles like “Prada Dem” featuring Offset and “Bittersweet,” both of which got Spike Jordan-directed visual companions. Milli shared Fine Ho, Stay in March after months of anticipation from fans.

As Rap-Up reported earlier this week, A Boogie got into an altercation with club security guards in Paris during the European leg of his “Better Off Alone Tour.” The incident took place after the New York artist attempted to enter the club with a bottle of champagne in his hand.

National Concert Week deal will offer $25 tickets for more than a dozen Milwaukee shows

Summerfest also is offering $25 ticket deals for select american family insurance amphitheater, bmo pavilion concerts.

Concert behemoth Live Nation's annual National Concert Week deals were announced Wednesday, and they cover a bunch of shows in Milwaukee.

And Summerfest, as it has done in the past, joined in on the deal as well.

From May 8-14, Live Nation again will offer $25 tickets for more than 5,000 concerts nationwide by more than 900 acts under its umbrella.

More than a dozen Milwaukee shows are included in the deal, including several at American Family Insurance Amphitheater and BMO Pavilion before and after Summerfest. The deals also cover one stadium concert — Green Day at American Family Field — and a pair of shows at Fiserv Forum.

According to social media posts by Summerfest's American Family Insurance Amphitheater and information from Fiserv Forum and Madison concert-promotion outfit FPC Live (Live Nation has a controlling interest in FPC's parent, Frank Productions), these Milwaukee concerts are included in the $25 ticket deal. (Note: Discount availability may be limited for some shows.)

Summerfest offers $25 "All-In Ticket" deals on some amphitheater, BMO Pavilion concerts

Meanwhile, Summerfest announced later on Wednesday announced its own $25 deal for "All-In Tickets" for some of concerts at the 2024 festival at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater and BMO Pavilion.

There's a limited number of $25 tickets for these shows, available starting at 9 a.m. May 8 at Summerfest.com and Ticketmaster.com.

Concert season is upon us. And yes, we all know the struggles of buying tickets online. But thankfully, Live Nation is giving us a sweet reprieve from breaking the bank. Today (May 1), the live music power house announced the return of Concert Week, a week-long promo in which tickets for some of the year’s most anticipated shows go on sale for only $25.

Tickets will go on sale beginning May 8 through May 14. Tickets will be good for over 5,000 and 900 artists. 21 Savage , Alanis Morissette , Cage The Elephant, Celeste Barber, Dan + Shay, Dierks Bentley, Feid, Janet Jackson , Meghan Trainor, New Kids On The Block, Peso Pluma, Sean Paul, Thirty Seconds To Mars, and more.

During the week of Live Nation’s Concert Week promo, fans can visit Live Nation’s official website and select a show from there. Once they’ve selected a show, fans should look for the ticket type labeled “Concert Week Promotion.” Then, fans will add their tickets to the cart and proceed to checkout from there.

This year marks 10 years since Live Nation introduced this promo. And in celebration of the milestone, the concert week promo is expanding to over 20 different countries, including those in Australia, Asia, Europe, the UK and the Middle East.
