“Great Location”
This is our second visit to this campground. We use it as a great home base for exploring the numerous local natural areas. Our pull through site was very level and roomy. The sites are asphalt, We camped at Encore Sunshine Travel RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
Fellsmere Grade Recreation Area is a great spot to see wildlife including roseate spoonbills and lots of alligators, early morning and late afternoons are bestTaco Mobil is a great place to pick up a great burrito...
“Great Base Camp”
Interestingly, enough, the pads are concrete, extremely narrow, but the streets within the campground are very wide and makes it easier to move a big rig around. Although we are right next to 95 We camped at Encore Sunshine Travel RV Resort in a Motorhome.

“Great for Big Rig's, but very rough roads! Sites are a bit tight but all concrete.”
The sites are a bit tight but are all concrete pads, and some have paver or concrete patios. The facilities are clean and in good condition. The property is a bit old and could use fresh touch. We camped at Encore Sunshine Travel RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
We like Mulligans on the water in Sebastian for most meals. Go check out beach side of Vero Beach, Waldos is a great place to have a drink and get a bite....

Vero Beach, FL….Odd configuration
The campground was clean. Our site had pavers that were in disrepair and could be a tripping hazard. The sites were roomy for our 42’ 5th wheel. Pool area appeared to be well maintained as well as the laundry. The machines required a card instead of coins. At $1.75 it was reasonable compared to other places. The configuration of the park in relation to the full time residents was odd. The campers were placed randomly in between the full time residents. We had plenty of room but we were wedged in pretty tight with the full time residents. It was ok but just have never been situated like this. You had to purchase the Wi-Fi. Don’t bother. We paid $20 for the wk and had absolutely no internet. There was a number to call and we did call them. It was a huge deal and only got one device working. They did have a huge dog park but the path to walk your dog I would never use as it had a lot of debris.

I've signed up for about 5 month stay
The bugs/ants are a little much, and the roads within park definitely need to be repaired. I do like the close proximity to the interstate. The office staff is very nice. Lots of washer/dryers at pool/club house. People are pretty friendly.
This place is very clean, quiet and has a great pool area. This is our 2nd stay here. Close to beaches and great restaurants.
Ok, staff helpful and friendly
Guess I just love being more in nature, close to intercostal and ocean.

Cramped outdated facilities
The clubhouse was outdated took me back to the 70’s An I mean the tables etc looked like they been around the long. The park itself was very clean however the spots were small. Friendly campground however. They have a small basic fenced in area for dogs. Not a place I would spend a weekend camping. I can see the attraction for snowbirds for spending time. Just a minute from I-95 exit. Fast food available outside the entrance.
Ranger Review: Umara Z-Trail Shoes by Xero @ Sunshine Travel RV Resort
Campground Review: Sunshine Travel RV Resort is an encore/thousand trails campground. The grounds are very well maintained with lots of amenities like pool, horseshoe, shuffleboard, Mini gold course, clubhouse with restrooms and an attached laundry facility. Since we were there for a soccer tournament, it was nice to have a place to wash the stinky uniforms in between games. We never saw any staff because the office is closed on weekends which posed a small problem when we had an issue in the laundry room. Other than that, it was a nice reasonably priced place to stay with a variety of campers, permanent residents and cabins for rent. Gear review: I wore my Xero Umara Z-trail shoes all weekend. It is my second pair to receive and I love them. So comfortable you hardly know they are there. No rub areas or hot spots from long use. I have worn them in a kayak, riverbed, soccer field, running track and just around the house. Highly recommend giving them a try!

Sunshine Travel RV Resort is a great park. (at the time of writing this I've been here 1 month out of a 3 month stay - will update if needed) The Address and Name has Vero Beach in it. But it is actually closer to Sebastian. Which is a great little town. (Vero Beach Proper is about 18 miles). First impression rolling in - great trees and lawns and sites are paved. Nice looking club house and pool and game areas. The sites here are a little tight - as in close together and the pad I'm on is only as wide as my rig. There are 300 sites here. There are a fair number of Park Models (house trailer with porch and skirts and landscaping etc). Wifi and Cable: There is no wifi at the sites and if you want cable you have to get a converter box from local cable company office (free but 18 miles away) for each TV. Wifi is at the club house or office area. We are paying about 40 a month to have wifi with our free cable. (so we have 2 boxes for tv's and 1 big box for wifi) Up by the pool and club house there are miniature golf, bocci ball pit, horse shoe pits, shuffle board courts and more. The dog park here is amazing!! It looks to me to be 2 or 3 acres. It is kept well and big and awesome! There are even Yappy Hours (Happy Hours) there for dogs and their people. There was beer, wine, cheese, crackers, chips, soda and snacks for the dogs and it is cool. There are a lot of things going on at this park - organized day trips, pot luck dinners, a German Dinner, Movie night with snacks, Bingo and more - if that is your thing. A big plus for me here is this park had full recycle service. (Up by garbage dumpsters there are plenty of bins for cans, bottles, cardboard, plastic etc.)(now if people could put the items in the right bin). (This is my first RV park that has such comprehensive recycle available). The grounds are very nice looking - manicured lawns, great trees and flowers and generally a great looking place. The concrete roads have numerous cracks (minor for motor vehicles - but when you ride bike back from store up the street with a 12 pack of beer strapped on - it shakes the heck out of them - careful opening after ride). One other thing I don't like is this place is very close to I-95 and as I type this I hear trucks going by. It isn't too bad because of sound wall - but - RV parks should not be on the highway (I RV to enjoy peace and quiet and the sounds of birds or laughter not trucks) There are some good places to eat and explore near by (not walking distance). (there is a McDonalds and a DQ in walking distance but I consider them a last resort type of thing). There is a place called Taco Mobil about 3 or 4 miles down the road - amazing Tacos and such. Sebastian is about 6 or 7 miles and has a lot of cool restaurants and even a brewery and a great park on the river etc. Fellsmere about 2 or 3 miles has great restaurants too. Exploring - Blue Cypress Conservation Area, St Sebastian River Preserve State Park, Sebastian Inlet State Park, Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge, Great beaches and lots more. This is an Encore park and I got a deal through Thousand Trails (Club) for a stay of 3 Months. I like this place a lot. I hope to return some time. I've added photos here

Better hope you like living on top of your neighbors. Listening to I -95 traffic and the trucks that use their jake brakes to slow down to get off the off ramp which is right out back of the complex. Very noisy!!! Sunshine Travel provides only one bathhouse for almost 300 campsites. They are cleaned once a day, I should say speed cleaned. Not clean or disinfected enough to mine or Covid standard. Let's talk about the front office! If you have a question or any issue you want to address, you have to deal with Nancy - mostly - You better expect a condescending demeanor. The maintenance crew is not very friendly either, at least not to people new to the campground. Let's say how your employees handle an everyday workday with all kind of occurring situations breaks down from the demeanor of the management to the crew. Their is one plus and that's the pool. Nice size and heated. That's pretty much why I gave 2 **. Let's just say Sunshine Travel is an expensive campground right next to I-95 which needs a lot of work and a much better attention to detail.
We stayed for 3 nights. We had a lovely time. The pool was great and relaxing. There were plenty of chairs on the deck. Thre bathrooms were clean and modern. We played the 9 hole putt putt course and had fun. Some of the sites held year round people but everyone was nice to us. The sites were roomy for the most part. Check in was contact-less so that was a breeze. Wifi and basic cable were included. About twenty minutes away is the downtown Vero area. It's very cute and has tons of restaurants. The beach is 25 minutes away and a must-do. We also went to the shooting range which is only 10 minutes away. We had a great time and will definitely go back.
We love Sunshine Travel RV Resort. It is our normal stop as we travel through Florida. We normally stay in their transient spot which is perfect fine us as we tow our boat and I follow in a second vehicle. Unfortunately on our last visit my husband was bitten quite a few times by fire ants. I hope they take care of this problem Because a week later my husband's legs are still covered in welts.
This park is pretty nice, one of the better Encore properties we have stayed at. Encore buys older parks and seemingly just milks them for cash while doing little or nothing to improve them. So this is a typical older park with small sites and narrow roads not well suited to today's larger RV's. The Vero Beach address is misleading. The place is actually in Fellsmere, which is not really a town of any sort, just an exit off 95. The park is right next to the highway, so road noise is a factor, try to avoid the row next to the highway. You are about a 30 minute drive to the beach, or the town of Vero Beach.
We arrived a week ago and will be here for 3 months. We are renting one of the cabins on site. Have to say, great park si far!! Quiet! Clean!! Cabin is awesome..everything included..dishes, pots n pans, towels. So far, we made the right choice to stay here!!
Don't Expect to be Treated with Respect or Professionalism I have stayed at this park several times before, and most recently spent the 2018 season here. Overall, the park is nice - I would rate it at a 3. However, I would give a negative 5 stars for the lack of professionalism and respect on the part of the staff towards the guests. Here's the background: I am a professional woman who enjoys being part of a community. Wanting to do my part to enrich the season for the guests, I volunteered to provide free yoga lessons. My classes were always taught with an air of "this is how great it is to be staying at Sunshine Park", as a plug for the park. Along the way, I also donated literally dozens of cookbooks to enrich the park's library. One day when I went to teach class, I noticed that all of the books I donated were GONE, i.e. stolen from the library. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk employee (Nancy), she stated "once you donate something, it's no longer yours". I was dismayed by this and stated that the books were donated in the spirit of building our community. She then went on to state that "when you complain about things, the privilege to have them can just go away", meaning as punishment, they could just discontinue having a library. REALLY? Are we in kindergarten? This past weekend was the end of season going away party. The staff just willy-nilly left the security gates open all day so anyone could come and go, even though this was a party for the residents, not for outsiders. Some expensive lights I had purchased to decorate my site disappeared. I called and notified another office worker, and asked her to relay my issue to Michelle, the manager. Today, I went to the office to discuss the matter with Michelle. Without even inviting me into her office to discuss my concerns, she came out of her office with guns blazing and rudely shouted "we aren't going to do anything about this. We don't reimburse for anything stolen or we would be out of business by now". I voiced my concern about the gates being left open, and she shouted (not spoke, in a reasonably respectful tone, mind you) that my concern was my opinion, and that the gates would be left open again whenever they wanted to, for as long as they want to. I asked her if the business would like me to file a police report, and I was essentially told that this was my problem, and to do whatever I wanted to do. Unbelievable. If you want to stay here for a short amount of time and enjoy the area, this is an okay place, particularly if you have a dog. However, if you want to join the snowbird community as a seasonal guest, be forewarned. There is no professionalism nor compassion here, even when you go out of your way to go above and beyond for the business. But remember, this is just my opinion, according to the management.
We are new to RV travel, and chose this location to be close to our grandchildren for a few days. I feel fortunate, and we enjoyed our stay here. They have a key access gate, so there is not a lot of traffic. It's very quiet here! The grounds are clean, and there are lots of lovely trees. The dog park is large. The pool is great! The showers and laundry are clean, and updated. Great walking or short cycling on grounds.
We give Sunshine Travel RV Resort, (Vero Beach,FL) 5 Stars. It is a great park, neatly kept, and operated by responsive, friendly, and efficient management & staff ... we highly recommend it. The maintenance team responds quickly to any issues or requests brought to their attention. Also, as traveling African Americans we found this to be one of many many places that make us feel welcome all across America. Both Park management and Park guests were always cordial and friendly. 2017 is the 3rd year we have visited and this time we stayed 3 1/2 months. We will definitely be back next year (or sooner). The park's location is another plus... Being right on I95 (East off Fellsmere exit #156, ), Sunshine Travel is very easily accessible to travelers.

FLORIDA IS OPEN AND CONTINUES TO BE THE BEST PLACE TO CAMP.
Hurricane Ian was a devastating storm and caused major flooding and severe damage along the coastal areas of Ft. Myers Beach, Captive and Sanibel Island and Estero Bay and Bonita Springs. Some RV parks received extensive damage and will be closed for an extended period of time. Our thoughts and prayers go out to these park owners, their staff, and their guests who’s lives and businesses have been temporarily devastated by this storm. We wish them the best as they rebuild.
Fortunately most of the parks in the SW Florida have re-opened and have power. Florida is a very large state with over 800 RV parks, and SW Florida has more RV parks than any other area of the state. Rest assured Florida is open for visitors and welcoming all RVers and campers.
Please continue to travel and camp in Florida. Whether you are wanting to camp now, or are waiting for the Snow Bird Season to start, you will be happy you picked Florida. You can find your perfect RV site right here on www.campflorida.com. If you have any questions, or would like assistance, you can call the Camp Florida office at 850-562-7151. Thank you, we appreciate you choosing Florida as your vacation and RV park destination.
NOTE: If you are planning a trip to SW Florida is advisable to reach out to RV parks to check on their status and site availability, and be sure to make reservations in advance.
