Skillet Celebrates Return to Europe & Multiple RIAA Certifications

Nashville TN (August 4, 2022) Christian rock group Skillet recently returned from Europe after a summer trek of eight countries, playing in front of 300,000 including Austria, France, Italy, Switzerland and the UK. This was the band’s first trip back since their 2020 tour dates had to be cancelled due to the pandemic. Skillet has amassed a rabid international fanbase throughout their career, selling out arenas in 26 countries and four continents.

Talking about their return, lead singer John Cooper remarked, “It was actually a bit emotional. Before covid we toured Europe almost every year, so to be back was just amazing. International travel isn’t what it used to be, ha ha, but we had a fantastic time – these crowds were more than ready to rock, and we can’t wait to go back.”

Adding to their growing list of RIAA certifications, the band returned to U.S. soil to find their Comatose album had garnered platinum certification, while the track “The Last Night” was certified gold. These follow last fall’s triple-platinum status of their landmark album Awake , and hit tracks “Awake & Alive,” going double-platinum, “Hero,” triple-platinum, and “Monster,” already one of the most-streamed rock songs in history, hitting 5x platinum status.

Skillet announce 2023 european tour: includes manchester on april 14th & london on april 15th.

17x platinum, GRAMMY-nominated rock band Skillet has announced their spring 2023 European ‘ Day of Destiny Tour ‘.  Embarking on a 21 city trek, the tour will kick off April 15 in London at The Forum, with tickets on sale now.  Featuring opening acts Like A Storm and Eva Under Fire , the tour will run through May 14 and hit cities including Brussels, Paris, Berlin, Copenhangen, Zurich, Milan and Prague.  Full tour routing below with tickets available at www.skillet.com .

Skillet has amassed a rabid international fanbase throughout their career, selling out arenas in 26 countries and four continents.  Last summer they played in front of 300,000 fans during a summer festival tour across eight countries including Austria, France, Italy, Switzerland and the UK, and they’re excited to return on the headline tour this spring.

Skillet ‘s ‘ Dominion: Day Of Destiny (Deluxe Edition) ‘, the companion to ‘ Dominion ‘, one of the highest charting rock and metal albums of 2022, releases February 17 and features five new tracks including new active rock track ‘ Psycho In My Head ‘ and ‘ Finish Line ‘, featuring Adam Gontier (formerly of Three Days Grace) from Saint Asonia . The latter is already a streaming hit with nearly 50M global streams to date.

‘ Psycho In My Head ‘ (impacting this week) has been named the theme song for WWE’s “ Elimination Chamber “, one of their most popular annual events. Known for its unique headline match inside a giant pod structure, the Premium Live Event will take place on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada.

Skillet and Theory of a Deadman , joined by Saint Asonia , will also hit the road across the U.S. next month on the Rock Resurrection Tour . The 25-date trek already is in high demand, raising capacities amidst sold out shows and will include stops in Milwaukee, Detroit, Boston, Cleveland, St. Louis, Dallas, Denver, Phoenix, and more.
