Taylor Swift performs at Wembley Stadium as part of her Eras Tour June 21, 2024 in London. (AP)
No, Taylor Swift’s didn’t cancel Eras Tour shows after endorsing Kamala Harris
If your time is short.
The article was originally published as satire.
News reports did not say that Taylor Swift canceled any shows in her Eras Tour after endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for president in September.
When Taylor Swift announced to her then-283 million followers that she would be endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for U.S. president, a few things followed:
Hundreds of thousands of people visited the voter registration website, Vote.org.
Harris’ competitor, former President Donald Trump, posted on Truth Social that he "hates" Swift .
Former Rep. Liz Cheney, a Wyoming Republican who is also endorsing Harris, quoted a Swift song, calling Trump "the smallest man who ever lived."
One thing that didn’t happen: Swift received tour-bruising backlash. But some folks reading social media posts are getting that message.
"Taylor Swift Forced to Cancel Eras Tour Dates Following Endorsement Backlash: ‘Only 2,300 Tickets Sold,’" read a Sept. 16 Facebook post .

The post’s comments included a link to an article on the website luxury.amazingtoday.net that had the same 15-word claim as its headline. What the post and the website’s article didn’t make clear was that the story was originally published on Esspots — a site that describes itself as "your one-stop destination for satirical news and commentary about the United States."
We could not find any news reports about Swift canceling tour dates after her Harris endorsement. Swift did cancel some August Eras Tour shows in Austria after authorities discovered a terrorist attack was being planned outside her Vienna shows’ venue.
But her tour, launched in March 2023 and still going, has received critical acclaim for both its artistry and its high-grossing appeal .
Swift did not make any announcement about canceled shows on her Instagram or X accounts. Tickets for the remainder of Swift’s Eras Tour shows are currently sold out on TicketMaster .
We rate the claim that Swift was forced to cancel Eras tour dates after endorsing Harris False.

NoHun ‘transphobia’ controversy explained: Influencer’s remarks in full after targeting Bailey J Mills’ pregnant boyfriend
Nohun commented on a series of mills’ boyfriend posts, saying: “men can’t get pregnant.”.
By Charlotte Manning
Influencer NoHun has been called out for “transphobic” comments towards the boyfriend of fellow content creator and drag artist Bailey J Mills.
Influencer NoHun, whose real name is Raurie Williams, reportedly sent a series of messages to Mills’ boyfriend – a trans man – who is currently expecting a child.
Mills and their boyfriend have been documenting the pregnancy via social media, with fans sharing their support in droves.
But NoHun, a TikTokker with 570,000 followers, claimed “men can’t get pregnant” through several attacking comments left below posts on Mills’ partner’s account.
In a TikTok video, Mills said in response: “I was out last night and I got a message from my boyfriend. He was being harassed by NoHun, commenting on all his posts saying ‘Men can’t get pregnant’.
“As some of you may or may not know, me and my partner are having a baby. My partner is trans. I used to think he was really hilarious but a lot of his videos started to become very bullying and he’s meant to be a comedian.”
Who is NoHun?
NoHun is a social media influencer who regularly posts to TikTok and Instagram with nearly a million combined followers.
The Birmingham-based content creator, comedian and musician is known for his large social media presence and occasional rap music.
You may also remember him for being involved in some Little Mix-related controversy back in 2021.
He leaked DMs which were allegedly sent to him by Leigh-Anne Pinnock, accusing former bandmate Jesy Nelson of “black fishing”.
Days later, Nelson was involved in a memorable Instagram Live with Nicki Minaj where she addressed the drama and said she wanted to “celebrate” hip hop culture. The messages supposedly from Pinnock were never verified.
What has NoHun said about Mills and their boyfriend?
NoHun commented on a series of Mills’ boyfriend’s posts, saying: “Men can’t get pregnant.”
Mills has since shared screenshots displaying these comments, asking for their fans to report him.
They said on Instagram: “Hey I am asking for your help if you support me. This account has commented on every single one of my boyfriends posts giving him hate [sic].
“Please can people speak out and report this horrible man. Thankyou also he’s supporting transphobia please report x.”
Their followers, including the likes of The X Factor ’s Marcus Collins and Drag Race UK ’s Cheryl Hole , reported his profile.
Who else has NoHun addressed in his social media content?
NoHun has recently attacked others from the community on Instagram videos including Sam Smith’s Gloria tour performances.
In another clip, he targets transgender TikTokker Dylan Mulvaney for modelling a sports bra for Nike.
He is seen filming himself in Primark’s lingerie section trying on bras, while misgendering Mulvaney on multiple occasions.
@nohun_ Because men can wear bras now too ♬ original sound – NOHUN
The Instagrammer has now changed his bio to read: “I identify as a pregnant man. My pronouns are fat/clout/chaser.”
NoHun has doubled down on his comments on another video. He said: “Men cannot get pregnant …
“We live in a world now where it’s basically illegal to have an opinion, even if that opinion is based on a scientific fact.”
What has the response been?
NoHun revealed last night he has postponed an upcoming tour he was due to announce on Wednesday (April 19).
He claims this is due to the fact people have been in touch with venues, with some now cancelling his shows.
It comes amid a time where transgender rights are being threatened . The Equality and Human Rights Commission has recently suggested redefining ‘sex’ as ‘biological sex’.
This would exclude trans people from single-sex spaces, support groups, and more. It is a suggestion at this point.
Last year, it was reported there were 4,355 reports made of crimes against transgender people .
This is up 56% from the previous year, according to a Home Office report.
They say the rise in trans crimes comes while “transgender issues have been heavily discussed on social media over the last year.”
NoHun’s comment to Attitude:
When asked for a comment, NoHun told Attitude: “A minority group of extremist trans terrorists have hijacked the LGBT movement to prop up their harmful and delusional ideologies.
“I am glad that I am in a position to highlight that these mentally ill people live amongst us, want access to women’s spaces and to be left unattended around children. They do not represent the gay community and they are not a positive representation of the trans community.
“They are a small minority for which support is dwindling every day. People are becoming less and less afraid to speak out and having gay men such as myself as a voice in this movement towards them will only make this movement grow. They only have the loudest voice because they are bullying people into not speaking out about them in fear of the consequences.
“Like what has happened to me for instance with my tour being cancelled. In regards to celebrities such a Sam Smith and Dylan, they are nothing more than media puppets being used to push a sexual and confusing agenda into the mainstream and onto people’s children.
“Neither of them are a representation of the ‘community’ but they are being given the loudest voice by the media. The transgender community have their own flag so why are they so keen to hide behind our rainbow flag too.
“I fully support the LGB community separating from the T because one aspect is a sexual orientation and the other is a gender identity. They are not the same thing. On a final note, men can’t get pregnant and anybody who believes otherwise needs locking up.”
Attitude’s comment, from Editor In Chief, Cliff Joannou :
NoHun’s statement is ill-informed and blind to the long history of LGBTQ+ equality. His actions online mark him out as nothing but a bully, while his harassment on social media of people living their authentic lives is a sad indicator of an individual that is clearly uncomfortable with himself: as most bullies and homo/trans/bi-phobes are.
His internalised hatred will no doubt incite violence on a vulnerable minority – 0.5% of the population who say their gender identity and sex registered at birth were different. Actions like NoHun’s have led to trans and non-binary people being disproportionately targeted by hate and violence – both online and in real life. His feeble grasp of ‘science’ also conveniently overlooks the intersex community, which still experiences physical violence through surgery during childhood.
It’s not enough to only fight for equality in terms of sexual identity. As with racism, sexism, ageism, body fascism or other intolerant views, none of us are free until we are all free. NoHun: using the privilege of your platform and the safe space of your living room and camera phone to spread hate is tired and shameful.
The fact is, trans and gender non-conforming people have been part of the fight for gender and sexual freedom as long – if not longer – than gay men and women have been fighting for equality. NoHun needs to put his phone down and educate himself: LGBTQ+ battles over the years have not been solely about gay liberation – they have been about liberating us all from the idea that the world exists in binaries that were forced on people through colonisation.
Historically – from Asia to Africa, through Europe and the Americas – humanity has been fluid and free. Sexually diverse and gender non-confirming people were once celebrated and have always been at the forefront of the fight for equality and a desire to live in a world free from judgement and oppression.
In the same way that immigrants on boats are being used as a way to divert attention from the failures of the government, trans and non-binary people have been politicised as a distraction from the very real problems society faces: the cost of living crisis; a collapsing NHS; corruption in Whitehall; and increasing inequality between the extremely wealthy and those struggling to pay their bills. Attitude stands with our trans and non-binary family.
So, NoHun: go enjoy your allyship with JK Rowling, Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin. What a sad little life, Jane.

Why some major artists are suddenly canceling shows, and in some cases entire tours
A series of tour cancellations and changes by big-name artists has sparked questions about whether the post-pandemic live music boom could be cooling, as consumer spending fatigue meets elevated ticket prices.
On Friday, Jennifer Lopez announced she was canceling her 2024 tour , citing a desire to spend more time with her family. Meanwhile, the Black Keys announced they were abandoning a stadium tour in favor of a series of shows at smaller venues.
Both tours had recently become the subject of social media fodder, namely screenshots showing empty venues at select tour dates. (NBC News could could not directly verify their authenticity.)
Indeed, some of the evidence of a slowdown is anecdotal. SeatGeek said in an email that the average resale ticket price to attend a summer concert is down to $213 from $257 around this time last year. The company suggested some of the decline could be attributed to the absence of megatours on par with Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” and Beyoncé’s “Renaissance” outings last year.
For artists whose popularity has crescendoed, there appears to be plenty of demand — and high prices. The average resale price for Olivia Rodrigo’s “Guts” tour is $571, and the next-highest is $409 to see Morgan Wallen, according to SeatGeek data first reported by Axios .
Many of those tours are being sold through Ticketmaster and its parent Live Nation. And prior to facing landmark accusations that it is a monopoly , a claim it denies, Live Nation reported its biggest first quarter ever, with $3.8 billion in revenues. Its concerts business alone was up 26% to $2.9 billion, while “estimated fans” globally were up more than 20%, and up 42% in North America.
Yet official government data points to the makings of a return to a more normal pace for live music event sales after a post-pandemic boom. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported last month that movie and concert admissions prices climbed just 3.4% year over year through April, the lowest reading since 2021 and the second-consecutive month showing a slowdown.
Dave Clark, editor of Ticket News, which tracks the live entertainment industry, said the period of explosive live music growth following pandemic reopenings may in hindsight be seen as an aberration: People were simply more eager — and more financially able — to go to as many shows as they could after months cooped up indoors.
This year, Clark said, a reckoning may be emerging.
“The days where there was enough demand to sell out arenas at top dollar just isn’t there in this live events economy — outside of people like Taylor Swift who can sell whatever they want wherever they want,” he said.
At a time when many consumers are struggling to pay for basic necessities, he said, “people are seeing some of the prices they’re asking and just saying, ‘Hard pass.’”
Another factor may be a supply issue, Clark added: too many acts trying to tour at once, or too many times. In the pre-streaming era, bands would go on tour as a way of marketing an album. These days, he said, it’s reversed, since the returns on recorded music have shrunk dramatically.
“Now they’re making records to sell the tour,” he said. “That paradigm has a lot to do with it. It’s just a very overloaded market.”
The Black Keys did just release a new album, and its debut single hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart in March.
Still, the rock duo announced it would cancel and reschedule its summer touring plans, switching from arenas to other venues that provide a more “intimate experience,” according to the band. The new dates have not yet been announced.
The Black Keys aren’t the only group that may be falling victim to costly concert fatigue.
Pop-rock band 311 announced it had canceled upcoming European tour dates due to the “rising costs of touring overseas,” which made completing certain portions of the tour “unfeasible.”
Other stars including Pink and Justin Timberlake have also recently canceled specific show dates, while the Jonas Brothers recently postponed their upcoming European tour , though none officially cited financial concerns as reasons for doing so.
“I think with all that competition for fan dollars, it was obviously natural that some artists were going to lose,” said Bill Werde, director of the Syracuse University Bandier Program for Recording and Entertainment Industries.
There are still plenty of large-scale tours planned for this summer that, so far, appear to be unaffected by flagging demand. Hootie & the Blowfish have 48 dates booked this year, while Dave Matthews Band is slated for 34. Other top acts hitting the road include Maroon 5, Zac Brown Band, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kenny Chesney and Chris Stapleton.
But experts say recent economic trends in the live-music industry, especially the type of consolidation the Justice Department is now targeting, have translated into fewer smaller-sized venues.
That’s made it more difficult for a given tour date to make financial sense for the artist, venue and promoter.
“Some shows, they can’t afford to drop prices; they can’t afford to wait to try to sell out the rest of the building,” Clark said.
If there is uncertainty about all stakeholders being able to at least break even, he said, the show might get canceled.
Such realities have collided with a more circumspect concertgoer. Brittney D’Mello, a 23-year-old K-pop fan from New Jersey who works in corporate marketing, posted to X about her frustrations with the current touring landscape.
“The tickets are too expensive,” D’Mello said. “There’s only a SMALL amount of people (10%) that will spend $500+ on vip/floor/premium,” she said. “The rest of us have budgets and won’t spend $100 on nosebleeds,” she said, referring to seats that are typically the farthest away from the stage.
“Everyone is touring this year … and we only have money for 2-3 concerts MAX,” she added.
In a follow-up interview with NBC News, D’Mello said she simply decided to cap her concert budget.
“I will only go see two artists that are my tried-and-true favorite artists,” she said. “But I won’t be casually going to concerts anymore. And after going to concerts twice, I think that’s where I stop.”

No, Taylor Swift has not cancelled Eras tour over Kamala Harris endorsement ‘backlash’
What was claimed.
Taylor Swift has had to cancel dates on her Eras tour due to only selling 2,300 tickets after endorsing Kamala Harris for US president.
Our verdict
This is false, and seems to originate on a satirical website. The remaining Eras tour dates are going ahead, and completely sold out.
A post falsely claiming Taylor Swift has cancelled upcoming tour dates due to low ticket sales after endorsing Democratic presidential candidate and serving Vice President Kamala Harris has been liked and shared thousands of times on Threads .
The text of the post says: “BREAKING NEWS Taylor Swift Cancels Eras Tour Dates After Harris Endorsement Backlash”.
Further text, included in a picture shared in the post, says: “Taylor Swift Cancels Eras Tour Dates After Endorsement Backlash: ‘Only 2,300 Tickets Sold’”.
But this isn’t true. Ms Swift is set to begin the final leg of her Eras tour next month—bringing to a close what is reportedly the highest grossing tour of all time —with no cancellations of any remaining shows, at the time of writing.
Ticketmaster, the platform through which tickets for the Eras tour were sold, had no tickets available for the remaining dates at the time of writing.
The social media posts follow Ms Swift’s endorsement of Ms Harris on 10 September, when the singer confirmed on Instagram that she would be voting for the current Vice President and encouraged people to register to vote.
While the Threads post does not link to it, it appears that the source of the false claim is actually the satirical website Esspots .
The headline of the article is the same text that is included as a screenshot in the image used in the post, making the same claim about “only 2,300 tickets sold”.
At the bottom of the Esspots article there is a disclaimer in bold which says: “NOTE: This is SATIRE, Not True.”
However the Threads post does not make clear that this claim is satire.
As the US election nears , we have seen a significant increase in misinformation surrounding Ms Harris and her opponent, former President Donald Trump.
In recent weeks we have fact checked a number of false claims, including that Ms Harris has said Democrats must have an “updated” Covid-19 vaccine in order to vote and an edited video claiming to show Mr Trump insulting soldiers.
For more on US politics in the run up to the presidential election in November, you can read our roundup of online misinformation concerning the presidential nominees, and verdicts on a selection of claims from their first live TV debate.
This article is part of our work fact checking potentially false pictures, videos and stories on Facebook. You can read more about this—and find out how to report Facebook content— here . For the purposes of that scheme, we’ve rated this claim as satire because the claim comes from a satirical website and her tour is going ahead and completely sold out.

Traffic rocker Dave Mason forced to cancel tour after ‘serious heart condition detected’
Share this with
Legendary guitarist and songwriter Dave Mason has canceled his upcoming U.S. tour dates following the discovery of a serious heart condition.
The co-founder of the iconic British rock band Traffic is undergoing immediate medical treatment, with doctors advising him to pause all tour activity.
In a statement released on his official website, Mason’s team shared the news: ‘We are sorry to inform you Dave Mason has a serious heart condition detected in a routine appointment that requires immediate attention. His team of doctors has advised against all tour activity, and therefore we have canceled his Fall tour.’
The 78-year-old musician expressed his disappointment over the cancellations, particularly for fans in California and Nevada who were anticipating his performances.
‘I’m heartbroken to have to cancel these dates, but it’s doctor’s orders,’ Mason said in a personal statement.
However, he reassured his followers that this is not a permanent farewell: ‘I’ll be back, and better than ever, in 2025.’
Mason is expected to return to the stage the following year if his recovery goes according to plan.
Dave Mason first began his music career in the late 1960s when he co-founded Traffic alongside Steve Winwood, drummer Jim Capaldi, and multi-instrumentalist Chris Wood.
The band, which blended rock with elements of jazz and psychedelia, quickly gained a devoted fanbase.
They released their debut album, Mr. Fantasy, in 1967, with Mason a major contributor to the establishment of their sound.
As a songwriter, Mason penned one of Traffic’s most famous hits, Feelin’ Alright?, which was later covered by a host of legendary artists, including Joe Cocker, Three Dog Night, and The Jackson 5.
After appearing on Traffic’s first two albums (Mr. Fantasy and Traffic), Mason left the band to pursue a solo career.
Over the years, he collaborated with many prominent musicians, including Jimi Hendrix, with whom he famously played on the recording of All Along the Watchtower, as well as George Harrison, Paul McCartney, and Eric Clapton.
Traffic’s impact on the music world was recognized in 2004 when the band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

- Ringo Starr Cancels Final Fall Tour Dates Due to Illness
Ringo Starr took to his social channels today to announce that the final performances of his fall tour would be canceled as he recovers from an illness. The legendary former Beatle spent much of the summer touring North America with his All Starr Band, but is now forced to scrap the closing Mid-Atlantic leg on doctor’s orders.
“Ringo has come down with a cold,” a statement made on by the artist’s behalf asserts. “After consulting a doctor he was advised to cancel these two remaining shows and get rest.” Ringo and company were set to perform tonight, Sept. 24, at Philadelphia’s TD Pavilion at The Mann and tomorrow, Sept. 25 at New York’s Radio City Music Hall. Ticketholders will be eligible for refunds from their respective points of purchase.
In April, Starr released a solo EP titled Crooked Boy . The project originated from a collaboration with Linda Perry, who is credited as the writer and producer for all four songs on the cycle. This dispatch, which provided core material for Starr’s 2024 tour, continued an artist connection between Starr and Perry, which began when Perry wrote the standout “Coming Undone” for Starr’s 2021 EP Change the World .
The artist’s post closes, “As always, Ringo and the All Starrs send peace and love to their fans and hope to see them soon.” Read the music video for “Crooked Boy,” featuring some of Starr’s famous MS Paint art, below.

Neil Young Explains Why He Canceled Crazy Horse Tour: 'My Body Told Me Not to Do It'
"I just woke up one morning on the bus and I said, 'I can't do this, I gotta stop,'" the singer shared in a recent fan livestream
Emma McIntyre/Getty
Neil Young is pulling back the curtain on the decision to cancel his tour with Crazy Horse.
Two months after the singer-songwriter, 78, announced on his website that the remainder of his and the band’s Love Earth Tour was canceled , vaguely citing illness among the performers, he provided his fans with a more thorough explanation.
In a livestream with fans that has since been posted on the singer’s subreddit, Young said that “a couple of” the tour's performers — himself included — “really hit a wall.”
“I just woke up one morning on the bus and I said, ‘I can’t do this, I gotta stop.’ And it was like, I felt sick when I thought of going on-stage,” the musician recalled. “My body was telling me, ‘You gotta stop.’ So I listened to my body.”
Astrida Valigorsky/Getty
The “Harvest Moon” singer said that despite the difficulties the cancellation posed, it was for the best, because he could not provide fans with the performance they deserved to see.
“Then it gets into all the legal matters. ‘You got this, you got that, people bought tickets, they did this, they did that.’ I understand that, but what matters to me is the art of playing, and the music,” Young explained in the livestream. “That’s what matters. That’s what people loved. That’s what they loved to come and see.”
“But if that’s not there, me going isn’t happening,” he said. "My body told me to not do it.”
As for how he is currently doing? The music icon told fans he is “starting to feel like I could do it again.”
“And that’s a great feeling,” Young said.
Some members of the band, however, are “not all the way back,” he noted. “Crazy Horse will be back, God willing, and we’ll play more,” Young said. “But in the meantime, I have a lot of friends that I play with.”

The musician is slated to return to the stage this fall at New York’s Farm Aid Festival , the music festival announced on Tuesday, July 23. The festival lineup also includes Willie Nelson and family, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews (with Tim Reynolds).
Plus, Young teased in the new fan livestream, he will be embarking on a “pared down” theater tour with partially acoustic shows featuring members of Promise of the Real in “a couple weeks.”
“They won’t be marathons,” he said of the upcoming shows. “They won’t be two hours and 10 minutes of blasting rock 'n' roll like it was with Crazy Horse.”
Young originally announced that the Love Earth Tour was canceled in a late June blog post on his website .

Saw them when they came through Austin. We were going to the Alter bridge/Skillet concert and were listening to music on the way. As a joke we turned on random songs and eventually Shoog Shoog came on. We really liked the song so when we saw they were coming through in a week we had to see them live. It was amazing, a great band. Their music live is almost mesmerizing in a way, like you can’t stop listening or getting enough. Highly recommend seeing them if you can.

Chilling with A friend and he just introduced me to The Hu via Spotify app on my Samsung Smart TV. Well they sounded so intriguing that I had to venture to YouTube where I looked The Hu up, and now I am hooked!!!
Saw them in Dublin last night, and what a show!Full of energy, they played their songs to a club full of fans(many of the crowd sang along even though in Mongolian),a thoroughly enjoyable night of Mongolian rock.go see them.
