WE'RE A BIG HIT IN THE BIG APPLE!
I would advise anyone from visitors to born-and-raised New Yorkers to take a tour. I grew up in NY till I was 22 years old and “thought” I had seen it all. But then I took a tour with Rick - his love for the evokes is infectious and his knowledge of New York is unparalleled. It really is the only way to see the city. I enjoyed my first tour on a Saturday, I took Rick’s Coney Island tour the next day. I flew back to Miami and Rick helped me purchase my first eBike. Thank you so much, Rick and NYC Adventure eBike tours for the amazing experience.
For an authentic experience and an insider's perspective, I can't think of a better way to explore New York than this. Owner/operators Rick and Anya offer a huge variety of tours (some 30 options) based on excursions they have personally done for fun, for years, so what better guide than someone with true passion and deep knowledge for the subject? Rick has also researched and planned all routes to maximize use of protected greenways, which is far more pleasant and safe than sharing lanes with other street traffic.
If you're looking to do something energizing, educational, athletic and fun in NYC you'd be hard pressed to find a better excursion than with NYC Adventure eBike tour. This isn't your "I'm lazy and going to sit on a bus with dirty headphones to sightsee" kind of tour, it's an "I want to see hidden treasures, exercise my body (aka earning your amazing New York meals) and really explore what NYC has to offer" type of tour. Even if you are a native, you'll still find gold. I'd highly recommend doing the tour with 3 other friends so you have a "pack" and can experience it together.
I went on a tour with Rick and his wife from the upper east side, down the west side and over to Brooklyn. It was very interesting. I have lived on Long Island all my life and never knew much about Manhattan. Rick knows everything. We had an awesome picnic on the waterfront he showed me sites I'd never seen and explained the history that I'd been so ignorant of. Besides the tour, the bikes were awesome and made it so easy to travel 40 miles. If you want to know NYC and get an insider experience I highly recommend these tours. There are no tours like Rick's tours.

New York City E-Bike Tour Description
Your 3-hour tour includes:
Modern electric bike rental
Bike helmet and optional basket included
Guided tour of New York City
Famous sites including Central Park, High Line, and the Brooklyn Bridge
Friendly local NYC tour guide
Maximum group size of 15
Meet Near Central Park
The tour begins across the street from the northern entrance to Central Park. Meet your local guide and the rest of your small group, snap on your helmet, and climb aboard your e-bike for a journey through the city.
You'll need to be at least 16 years old to ride an electric bike, and under 18's must be accompanied by an adult.
Central Park
The first stop on the tour is a ride through New York's most famous public space, Central Park. Like so many New Yorkers, your guide knows Central Park like the back of their hand, and they'll lead you on a route through some of its iconic movie locations, monuments, artworks, and hidden corners. You'll stop for photos along the way, and you can make a mental note of your favorite spots to come back to and relax later on.
High Line and the Hudson River
Two of the best additions to New York City over the past decade are High Line and the renovated Hudson River Greenway. Bringing a sense of nature to what was formally a center of industry has brightened up these areas and created the most scenic bike paths in Manhattan. With amazing views of the Statue of Liberty, Freedom Tower and more, it's a stunning ride and a great way to see New York from a whole new perspective. You'll follow the Hudson River all the way down to the attractive Battery Park,
Brooklyn Bridge
The last stop of the day is the Brooklyn Bridge. A highlight of world architecture, the impressive suspension bridge was opened in 1883 to connect the then separate cities of New York and Brooklyn. Today, the Bridge is still an important connection for cars, subways, bicycles, and foot traffic, as well as being one of those spots where you just have to get a photo when you come to NYC!
It's a perfect way to end your electric bike tour, and with a better understanding of New York you'll be ready to make the most of whatever time you have left in the city.

Awesome Tour
Our tour guide John was amazing and shared lots of fun stories and interesting facts about the city along the way. I have been to NYC multiple times and even lived here for a summer internship while in college so I am pretty familiar with the city. That being said we were able to see parts of town I had never been to which was awesome. This was well worth it. Ps- the ebikes for the win because there is so much stopping and starting - if you are unsteady on a bike in general, they really helped to stabilize you and avoid so much wobbling.
Highly Recommend
We had a great ride with Chuck. He was pleasant, informative, knowledgeable and provided great weather. ☀️ There were plenty of stops to take photos, and learn a little history. The bikes were in good shape, and everyone was provided with a helmet, and a basket (if needed). Loved it.

Embark on an e-bike adventure through the heart of New York City, encountering legendary landmarks and enjoying unparalleled views of one of the world’s most iconic cities. Enjoy the added convenience of bike rental, allowing you to gracefully traverse the iconic sites that define the very essence of the 'City of Dreams'. Your bike tour begins at the illustrious Brooklyn Bridge, before cycling a route with views across the breathtaking Manhattan skyline to the majestic Empire State Building, stopping at the Statue of Liberty, the cultural richness of Chinatown, the tranquil respite of Washington State Park, the allure of Wall Street, and the vibrant energy of Times Square.
Your pedal-powered city tour commences in the awe-inspiring shadow of the Brooklyn Bridge. Cycle on to Battery Park, a serene urban sanctuary adorned with poignant monuments honoring the luminaries who have shaped the history of New York City - the soldiers, inventors, explorers, and immigrants who collectively forged the legacy of the 'City of Dreams'. From here, your guide will lead you to Little Italy, a district steeped in history and vibrant culture, a testament to the Italian immigrants who arrived in America in the late 1800s. The echoes of their heritage resound through the traditional restaurants that line these storied streets.
Your journey through Chinatown is an exploration of sensory wonder. Within this treasure trove of streets, eateries, and bars, the vibrant tapestry of Asian immigrant life flourishes. Delve into the unique charm of this neighborhood, where the Buddhist Temple and the statue of Lin Zexu in Chatham Square stand as testament to the memories of distant homes. Just like Little Italy, Chinatown's distinct cultural identity flourishes within this multicultural mosaic, offering an immersive experience through streets adorned with dim sum havens, enticing food stalls, and intriguing speakeasies.
Ride on to Washington Square Park, where you’ll glide beneath the arch dedicated to George Washington and find solace within this communal haven—a meeting ground for parades, playdates, and picnics. Stop at several monuments scattered throughout this resplendent park that pay homage to the lives that have left an indelible mark on the city's legacy.
Your guided expedition leads you to the Hudson River Greenway, a picturesque cycle path tracing the course of the Hudson River. Marvel at sweeping vistas of the city's skyline as you pass charming parks and waterfront panoramas.
Soon, you'll find yourself in the financial heart of the city, the renowned Wall Street. This iconic thoroughfare, nestled in Lower Manhattan near the World Trade Center, pulsates as the global financial epicenter. As you pedal along, skyscrapers cast their shadows upon sidewalks once trodden by the most ambitious minds in American business. Journeying further along the High Line, an innovative urban renewal project, discover a public park crafted from the remains of an old railroad, a testament to Manhattan's commitment to innovation.
Venture into the electrifying atmosphere of Times Square, a vibrant nexus of Broadway's brilliance adorned with dazzling billboards and a magnet for visitors worldwide. Pause for an iconic snapshot before venturing toward the illustrious Madison Square Garden, renowned as 'The World's Most Famous Arena', resonating with echoes of legends like the Rolling Stones, Elton John, and the Grateful Dead.
Before your bicycle tour culminates beneath the awe-inspiring pinnacle of the Empire State Building, pedal through Billionaires' Row, an array of opulent residential skyscrapers that pierce the sky above Central Park. Conclude your expedition beneath the iconic Empire State Building, its art deco façade reigning supreme within the city's unparalleled skyline - a fitting crescendo for an e-bike tour of epic magnitude.

Five Boro Bike Tour is pedaling back to NYC this weekend. Here’s what to know.
The TD Five Boro Bike Tour, the nation’s biggest communal bike ride, is returning to the Big Apple this weekend for its 46th iteration through the streets of all five New York City boroughs.
Forecasters are predicting a wet and rainy day on Sunday, May 5, but that won’t stop about 30,000 cyclists from getting on two wheels and pedaling along the 40-mile course, which begins in Manhattan, grazes the Bronx, returns to Manhattan, then travels through Queens and Brooklyn before ending on Staten Island.
The tour, which is organized by Bike New York and supports bicycle education programming, has run every year since 1977 except for 1991, when it lost its original sponsor, and 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The first wave of cyclists will begin the tour at 7:30 a.m. in Lower Manhattan, while the sixth and final wave will depart at 10:25 a.m.
Numerous streets will be closed to auto traffic for the tour. Those include Sixth Avenue in Manhattan between Franklin and West 59th streets, the FDR Drive between the Third Avenue Bridge and 63rd Street, the Queensboro Bridge upper level, the Brooklyn-bound span of the Pulaski Bridge, the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway from Downtown Brooklyn to Bay Ridge, and the lower level of the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge.

NYC 5 Boro Bike Tour 2024: What cyclists need to know about riding the Staten Island Ferry
M ay 1—STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — On Sunday, May 5, the Staten Island Ferry will once again be called upon to bring cyclists back to Manhattan after the TD NYC Five Boro Bike Tour.
Last year, over 30,000 cyclists participated in the event, with many of them opting to take the ferry back home.
The 40-mile bike tour spans the city's five boroughs, beginning in Lower Manhattan and traveling briefly into the Bronx, before heading to Queens, Brooklyn and finally crossing the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge to conclude near the St. George Ferry Terminal.
Ferry crews are in for a busy day as the big orange boat offers the quickest way for Staten Islanders to reach the starting line and for everyone else to return to other parts of the city after completing the course.
The Staten Island Ferry will provide 30-minute service from 6 to 11 a.m. on Sunday. After that, the boat will run on a 15-minute schedule from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The ferry will then return to its regularly scheduled 30-minute service from 6 p.m. onward.
Bike New York, organizers of the Five Boro Bike Tour, noted that lines to take the ferry back to Manhattan could be long starting from the the early afternoon.
All cyclists must board the boat on the lower level at both the Whitehall Terminal in Manhattan and the St. George Terminal, located at 1 Bay St. on Staten Island.
Riders must dismount and walk their bicycle while in the waiting area and when boarding and departing the boat. Riding on and off the boat is prohibited.
All bicycles must be stored in the designated area on the lower level of each vessel.
The Staten Island Ferry is free of charge for all passengers and bicycles.
The Department of Transportation, the agency that operates the Staten Island Ferry, is not responsible for any stolen or damaged bicycles.
Riders may be subject to security screenings at the terminal.

The future of transportation: Clinton brings first electric bike shop to the Mohawk Valley
Since the pandemic, electric bikes, battery-powered two-wheelers, have become a compelling alternative for commuters. Or so Bill Klehm, chief executive of eBliss, says.
Over the past five years, market reports show venture capitalists, who prior weren’t betting on bikes, doing just that – $150 million worth, Klehm highlighted.
In 2021, the coveted method of transportation sold out across Amazon, Walmart, and specialized bike markets.
And Klehm claims the rave is "here to stay."
The first eBliss Global Experience Center will open its doors in Clinton for a public event of food and test rides on April 27.
Doors open at 10 am; riders under the age of 18 must confirm parental permission.
Future of bikes is cars
The eBliss Anytime electric bike starts with the push of a button.
It has a sealed automatic transmission that selects the right gear and two red taillights. It’s the closest a saddled bicycle comes to the experience of driving an automatic car.
At least that’s what eBliss founders are hoping for.
Klehm started out working with cars. He spent decades at Ford and CarFax before making the transition to the e-bike sector. To leverage his knowledge he recently began selling e-bikes through automotive dealerships.
Because the future of bikes is cars, Klehm said.
Last year the brand’s sister company – Prophete in Oldenburg, Germany – sold 40,000 e-bikes in Europe alone; eBliss leapt in the global charts and is now regarded as one of the top-20 product distributors.
Not your average bike shop
The new experience center promises to be “more than your average bike shop.” It boasts a large test ride area and showroom where visitors can come to learn about and test the latest products in e-mobility.
“We design and build purposeful transportation devices, not bikes,” clarified Khlem. “There are a few main drivers to have an e-bike: the quality of the seat, intuitive start/stop technology, the quietness of the drivetrain."
As stated by Klehm, the two-wheelers cost $3,000 but unlike other bikes they don't require maintenance.
To head its new location the brand hired Utica resident Bill Chromczak.
Chromczak has run Whitesboro Frame & Body auto repair shop for over 45 years, repairing more than 300,000 vehicles.
“I’m excited to grow the eBliss Experience Center into a pillar of the community,”Chromczak said in a statement. “I’m going to bring the same passion I have for cars into the e-bike industry. I hope to see many familiar faces during our grand opening.”
Why Clinton?
When asked why the corporation chose Oneida County, Khlem pointed to the blend of ethnicities, newly implemented bike lanes, and neighboring universities.
“We’re thrilled to plant roots in the Mohawk Valley,” said Klehm. "This area represents some of the best parts of America.”
According to Klehm the e-bike industry is estimated to be worth $3.5 billion in the United States by the end of this year. The company’s goal is to catalyze the already growing market and offer premium rates to locals, he said.
The new line includes three ride styles: the Anytime (the Always standard model), the Outa’Here (the Always offroader), and the Anywhere (Always’ adjustable folding e-bike).
In July, eBliss will release a Cargo bike line, designed for business deliveries.
Owning the first and last mile
Klehm acknowledged that green transportation is crucial this day in age. He noted that Americans drive 190 million solo rides each day (one passenger per car), 29 million of which travel less than a mile.
“Short trips are the worst thing we can do for the environment and our cars,” continued Klehm. “We want to own the one mile trip. If we can help consumers make a carbon conscious choice the atmosphere and their wallets will be happier.”
The brand is also interested in the last mile.
“The average delivery speed is down because trucks are making single package deliveries,” explained Klehm. “Now that can be done using some form of e-mobility. We’re aiming to tackle the one mile ride for the consumer and the last mile for local businesses.”
