About the festival headliner - L.A. Guns

L.A. Guns are an American glam metal band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1983. The lineup currently consists of Tracii Guns (lead guitar), Phil Lewis (lead vocals), Ace Von Johnson (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Johnny Martin (bass, backing vocals) and Scot Coogan (drums). The first incarnation of the group was formed by Tracii Guns and Rob Gardner in 1983 and merged with fellow Los Angeles group, Hollywood Rose, to form Guns N' Roses in March 1985. After only a brief tenure in that band, Guns reformed L.A. Guns with a new lineup, consisting of Paul Black, Mick Cripps, Robert Stoddard, and Nickey Alexander. Black would soon be replaced by former Girl singer Phil Lewis while former Faster Pussycat bassist Kelly Nickels was added to the group. Later, Alexander would be replaced by former W.A.S.P. drummer Steve Riley with this being known as the "classic lineup" of L.A. Guns. They achieved moderate chart success in the late 1980s and early 1990s. However, the group went through numerous lineup changes (with Riley being the most consistent member) and failed to regain mainstream attention.

The "classic lineup" of the group would reunite in 1999 and began recording new material. However, the group continued to change lineups and Guns eventually left to form the hard rock supergroup Brides of Destruction with Nikki Sixx of Mötley Crüe in 2002. L.A. Guns continued without Guns, bringing in guitarist Stacey Blades, however, following his decision to put Brides of Destruction on hiatus in 2006, Guns formed The Tracii Guns Band. The group's lineup consisted of former L.A. Guns members Black, Alexander as well as Jeremy Guns (though the lineup would eventually change), with the group eventually changing their name to L.A. Guns. Both groups continued to record and tour under the L.A. Guns moniker until 2012, when the Tracii Guns-led version of the group disbanded.

The annual Monsters of Rock Cruise is returning in 2022 to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Departing out of Miami, Florida, promoter On The Blue announced the five-day/five-night full ship charter cruise will set sail February 9-14 aboard Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas, visit two ports in CocoCay, Bahamas and Labadee, Haiti, and features performances from rock icon Alice Cooper , along with performances from over 35 artists.

The public on-sale kicked off today at 9:00 am ET, with cabins starting at $1,799.00 per person (double occupancy, not including mandatory taxes and fee supplement).

The supporting lineup for MORC ’22 includes Queensrÿche, Cinderella’s Tom Keifer, Skid Row, Lit, L.A. Guns, Kix, Winger, Michael Monroe, Great White, H.E.A.T, Loudness, Pat Travers, Y&T, Eclipse, Vixen, Rose Tattoo, Black ‘N Blue, Firewind, Chris Holmes, Joel Hoekstra, Lillian Axe, Faster Pussycat, Pink Cream 69, Dangerous Toys, Killer Dwarfs, XYZ, Beasto Blanco, Electric Boys, Crazy Lixx, Little Caesar, Roxanne, Signal 13, and The Mayor of MORC―John Corabi.

Alice Cooper , Queensrÿche, Cinderella’s Tom Keifer, and more will perform on the Monsters of Rock Cruise, which will return in 2022 for its 10th anniversary.

The cruise is set to take place February 9th through 14th, 2022, and feature performances from over 35 artists including Skid Row, Lit, L.A. Guns, Kix, Winger, Michael Monroe, Great White, H.E.A.T., Loudness, Pat Travers, Vixen, Faster Pussycat, and more. The cruise will set sail from Miami, Florida, and stop at two ports, CocoCay in the Bahamas and Labadee in Haiti.

Along with all the performances, the Monsters of Rock Cruise will feature Q&A sessions with artists, Gong Show -style karaoke, a “So You Think You Can Shred” contest, cooking with rock stars, painting with rock stars, pick-up basketball with rockstars, beach volleyball, and more. There will a variety of theme nights as well, plus opportunities to take photos and eat meals with select artists.

Alice Cooper Leads Star-Packed 2022 Monsters of Rock Cruise

The Monsters of Rock are set to cruise again. Promoter On the Blue's at-sea concert series will be headlined by Alice Cooper for a 10th-anniversary voyage on Feb. 9-14, 2022, from Miami to ports in the Bahamas' CocoCay and Haiti's Labadee.

The slate of more than 35 other artists set to take the stage aboard the Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas includes Queensryche , Tom Keifer of Cinderella , Skid Row , L.A. Guns , Kix , Winger , Great White , Pat Travers, Y&T , Joel Hoekstra, Lillian Axe, Faster Pussycat and onetime Motley Crue  singer John Corabi, among others. Tickets go on sale today at monstersofrockcruise.com , with cabins starting at $1,799 per person. They're double occupancy, and prices don't include mandatory taxes and fee supplement.

Along with the regularly scheduled shows, fans can take part in artist/cruiser Q&A sessions, cooking and painting demonstrations with the stars, beach volleyball and games like "Gong Show Karaoke" and "So You Think You Can Shred." There will also be theme nights and opportunities to dine with and take photos alongside selected acts.

Cooper's newest album is a musical homage to his hometown titled Detroit Stories . The project, which features all surviving members of the original Alice Cooper band, emerged after he battled with COVID-19  last December.

More recently, Cooper headlined his own Coopstock benefit in April at Mesa, Ariz., but this cruise is the only future date listed on Cooper's official website .

Alice Cooper is set to headline the 2022 edition of the ‘Monsters Of Rock’ cruise.

The heavy metal music event, which takes place on a cruise ship at sea, is returning in 2022 to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

Departing from Miami, Florida, the five day and night full ship charter cruise will depart on February 9 until February 14.

According to a press release, those aboard the Royal Caribbean’s Freedom Of The Seas will “visit two ports in CocoCay, Bahamas and Labadee,Haiti, and features performances from rock icon Alice Cooper, along with performances from over 35 artists.”

In addition to all the artist performances, the event will host “interactive events between artists and [fans]” which include, according to a press release: “Artist/Cruiser Q&A sessions, Gong Show Karaoke, ‘So You Think You Can Shred,’ Cooking with Rock Stars, Painting With Rock Stars, Rock Stars vs Average Joe Basketball, and Beach Volleyball, with more to be announced.”

The event will also feature a series of “themed nights”, details of which are to be announced.

Last month, Cooper spoke in more detail about the effects of contracting coronavirus at the end of 2020.

“All it really did with me was it knocked me out,” Cooper told Good Day Rochester in a new interview (via Blabbermouth ). “For three weeks, I felt like I went 12 rounds with [boxing legend] Roberto Duran; I was just beat up.

“And then every day, you feel a little bit better, then you feel a little bit better, feel a little bit better, and after about a month, you start feeling pretty good. And so now I’m a walking antibody.”

2023 Monsters of Rock Cruise Lineup Revealed

There's nothing like nice tropical weather after a hard winter and there's nothing like hitting the seas with some of your favorite rock and metal bands.
