Terrific Experience

Had a terrific experience riding the train this summer (2022) with friends. The staff is very kind and knowledgeable. They work hard to ensure that you have an enjoyable time. They serve tasty lemonade and apple hand pie. It is both scenic, relaxing, and a blast from the past. I highly recommend that you make a reservation soon.

Fantastic Experience

We had a great Caboose Ride, made extra special by Conductor Phil. Our daughter was a bit uncertain about the noises- breaks and horn. He went out of his way to make her comfortable, asking about her toy, inviting her to use the horn, and be the special junior conductor. She went from being nervous to having a blast, talking nonstop about it, and pretending to be a conductor the rest of the day. This was a fantastic family event. Long enough to be worth the price but short enough to keep little ones interested. Plus, we learned interesting details about trains. Would love to check out future events! The whole team from check in to boarding to saying goodbye were friendly and great. BUT- Thanks, Phil- you made the experience fantastic.

Awesome Experience

Staff was excellent and very friendly. Train ride was extremely comfortable and not the “typical” experience we normally have. Will be visiting more often.

Wonderful Time with Friend!

I had wanted to go on the train for awhile now since both of my grandfathers worked on the railroad. Was not disappointed! Festive atmosphere and very attentive crew. Will plan to ride again.

Exploring Noblesville: A Local's Guide to Things to Do in Noblesville Indiana

It’s hard to believe I’ve been a Noblesville resident for over twenty years, but here we are! So if you are on the lookout for fun things to do in Noblesville Indiana, I’ve got you covered.

From tranquil river kayaking (one of my favorite summer activities) to bustling downtown shopping, Noblesville is a vibrant city located in Hamilton County that combines the serenity of nature with the benefits of a suburb close to Indianapolis .

Whether you’re a thrill-seeker, a culture enthusiast, or someone who appreciates the simple joy of a family outing, there’s something here for you.

Embrace the Great Outdoors in Noblesville

Noblesville shines with its array of outdoor activities that cater to nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. Here’s a glimpse of what you can look forward to:

1. Kayaking on the White River

As soon as the weather feels warm enough, we pull out the kayaks (an impulse COVID purchase that we’ve gotten a TON of use out of) and head over to the White River. Just a short drive from home are several places to put the kayaks in the river – we can take a short one-hour trip or a longer 2-3-hour version.

If you don’t have kayaks or are visiting from out of town, you can rent kayaks (or tubes if you prefer floating) from White River Canoe Company . I know quite a few people who have enjoyed their drop-off and pick-up service. If you haven’t tried kayaking, this is a great way to try it out with no long-term commitment.

White River Canoe Company, 17180 River Rd. Noblesville, IN

My insider tip: check the river levels before you decide to kayak. If there has been a lot of rain, the water might be too high, and if it’s been dry you’ll find yourself dragging your kayak!

2. Fun in Forest Park

We are lucky enough to live within walking distance of Forest Park , so I have spent many sunny afternoons there with the kids ( especially on the playgrounds when they were little ), or strolling with the dog along the walking path. These days my son is often over there in the summer playing a round of golf with his buddies.

In addition to two great playgrounds, Forest Park boasts a carousel, miniature golf course, skateboarding park, volleyball pits, a golf course, a local pool, and plenty of great places for picnics or just enjoying the day. In addition, there are frequent movies and concerts in the warmer months, so the fun can extend into the evening.

Forest Park, 701 Cicero Rd. Noblesville, IN

3. Strawtown Koteewi Park

On the far north side of Noblesville is a hidden gem many locals don’t even know about, Strawtown Koteewi Park . However, for those in the know, it’s a great place to get out of town, enjoy nature, and have a little adventure!

In addition to some lovely hiking trails and a super interesting nature center (where I’ve been on multiple field trips with the kids ), Strawtown Koteewi Park is home to an archery range, horseback riding, a small lake for kayaking, a ropes adventure course , and in the winter, one of the state’s few tubing hills . Whew! See why I say it’s a hidden gem? You can visit multiple times and never get bored.

Strawtown Koteewi Park, 12302 Strawtown Ave. Noblesville, IN

4. Walking the trails at Potter’s Bridge

Another one of our favorite places to walk, and a terrific spot for family pictures, is Potter’s Bridge . The bridge goes right over the White River (and it’s one of the suggested spots to begin your kayaking trip) , and as no cars are allowed on it, it’s fun for kids to run across.

There is also a small playground, but my favorite part of Potter’s Bridge is the wonderful trail along the river. It’s paved and a great place to walk your dog or even ride a bike. You can easily ride a bike from Forest Park to Potter’s Bridge along this trail (something I often do as a summer lunchtime exercise break ). In the fall there is a popular festival , so if you time your visit to Noblesville during early October, be sure to check and see if you can check it out.

Potter’s Bridge, 19401 Allisonville Rd. Noblesville, IN

5. Biking the Midland Trace Trail

As you can tell, Noblesville residents like to get outside, and our city has plenty of opportunities to enjoy the seasons. One of the newest outdoor experiences is the Midland Trace Trail. Although I walk our dog there several times a week, my favorite way to explore it is on my bicycle. It runs to Westfield, Indiana, and even meets up with the Monon Trail which runs through Carmel to downtown Indy.

I tend to stay within Noblesville, but if I had an electric bike, I’d take advantage of all the places the Midland Trace Trail goes! There are several places to hop on the trail, but one of my favorites is off Hazel Dell Road just before 169th Street. There is a small parking lot with a restaurant AND in season, bike rentals. So even if you don’t have your bike with you, it’s easy to enjoy the trail!

Midland Trace Trail, south of SR32 on Hazel Dell Rd. Noblesville, IN

Family Fun and Entertainment

Had your fill of nature? No worries, there are plenty of other fun things to do in Noblesville Indiana for families!

6. Bowling at Bowl 32

Bowling is always a fun family activity. If it’s a rainy or cold day and we don’t have anything going on, we’ll often head over to nearby Bowl 32 and bowl for an hour or two. The bowling alley has 32 lanes, but even if you have to wait for a lane, there are plenty of other things to do.

With a small arcade, axe throwing, glow-in-the-dark miniature golf, and even laser tag, you can keep the family busy for the entire afternoon. Sometimes, if we just have an hour to spare, we’ll just head over for a quick game of mini-golf or to play a few arcade games. There is also a bar and a snack bar with surprisingly good pizza .

Bowl 32, 845 Westfield Rd. Noblesville, IN

7. Paint pottery at Kiln Creations

Looking for a more creative experience? Check out Kiln Creations located on the square in downtown Noblesville. It’s another one of those places that we go to when we are looking for something fun to do in Noblesville with kids. Through the years, we’ve made many mugs, bowls, Christmas ornaments, and more.

It’s always fun to create something special, for yourself or a gift. In addition to walk-in painting, Kiln Creations often offers special classes or seasonal activities, so look out for those if you want a bit more of a unique painting experience.

Kiln Creations, 60 N. 9th St. Noblesville, IN

8. Take a ride on the Nickle Plate Express

Do you have a train aficionado in your family? Then book a ride on the Nickle Plate Express . Every season there are a variety of different train experiences you can book – so this is something you can do multiple times and it’s unique each time!

Some of the more popular excursions include a Polar Express ride in December, Mother’s or Father’s Day excursions, brunches, murder mystery rides, and even beer or whiskey rides. Truly something for everyone, so be sure to check the schedule to see what’s available on your visit!

Nickle Plate Express, 825 Forest Park Dr. Noblesville, IN

9. Enjoy a concert at Ruoff Music Center

If you visit Noblesville in the summer, there’s a pretty good chance that there will be a concert happening at Ruoff Music Center . And by concert, I don’t mean a local band – although I love those too! Ruoff ( affectionately known as Deer Creek, its original name, by locals ), has some of the biggest talents out there appearing regularly.

If there is a big-name artist on tour, odds are good they will show up at Ruoff. This concert venue is an outdoor experience, and although there is a pavilion with assigned seating, sometimes the most fun is to be had on the lawn. We get tickets to at least a few shows every summer and rocking out on the lawn to our favorite bands is always a good time!

Ruoff Music Center, 12880 E. 146th Street, Noblesville, IN

My insider tip: I’ll randomly check Groupon as they will often have concert tickets to Ruoff for $20 or $30 which makes for a fun and inexpensive night out in Noblesville! And if you go to Rakuten first before Groupon you’ll get 2% to 10% back – talk about a great deal!

10. Relax with a show at Federal Hill Commons

If there isn’t a big name you want to see at Ruoff, another terrific option for an outdoor summer/fall concert is to see if there is an event at Federal Hill Commons. This lovely park has a nice amphitheater and holds free concerts most weekends in the summer and early fall.

There will usually be a food truck or two, and plenty of space to lay out a blanket or lawn chairs. Towards the end of summer, Federal Hill Commons is also home to Shakespeare at the Park which is one of my daughter and I’s favorite local events. Regardless of what you see, it’s an enjoyable place to relax in Noblesville.

Federal Hill Commons, 175 Logan St. Noblesville, IN

11. Swim at Forest Park Aquatic Center

My daughter was a swimmer in High School, so I’ve spent HOURS at the Forest Park Aquatic Center. Luckily, it’s a terrific pool, and even when she was a younger swimmer I could have fun with my son at the splash pad or in the kiddie pool while we were waiting for her to compete.

Admission is very affordable, there is a concession stand and a diving well, waterslide (Fast Freddy), kiddie pool, and splash pad it’s a lot of fun for the whole family. If it’s a hot summer day, the pool is a great place to be!

Forest Park Aquatic Center, 710 Cicero Rd. Noblesville, IN

Cultural and Historical Exploration in Noblesville

Explore Noblesville’s history and culture with these must-see spots:

12. Hamilton County Museum of History & Old Jail Museum

Even though I’ve visited the Hamilton County Museum of History & Old Jail Museum multiple times on field trips, I still like to stop by every once in a while to check it out. It’s a short but very interesting stop in downtown Noblesville.

The museum consists of the old sheriff’s residence and jail and it’s interesting to see artifacts from Noblesville’s past and get a glimpse into the old jail. The volunteers are a wealth of information and more than happy to share some of the more interesting tidbits when you visit, so be sure to ask. Admission is free, but the hours are limited, so keep that in mind when you plan your visit.

Hamilton County Museum of History & Old Jail Museum, Conner St. Noblesville, IN

13. Take an art class downtown

While you are downtown, a fun and unique thing to do is to take an art class at either Caravan Classes or the Hamilton County Art Center. Caravan Classes has a variety of weekly and monthly classes and also has craft kits you can purchase and make yourself at home ( or in your hotel room! ). Be sure to stop by when you are downtown and check out the gumball machine with mini-art projects – it’s a clever and unique idea!

The Hamilton County Art Center often hosts open houses where you can tour the building and chat with the artists in residence ( as well as buy their work ). Plus, there are all kinds of classes you can participate in – from one-day to multi-session options.

Caravan Classes, 98 S. 9th St. Noblesville, IN

Hamilton County Art Center, 195 S. 5th St. Noblesville, IN

Noblesville Shopping and Dining

Indulge in retail therapy and culinary delights as you explore Noblesville’s shopping and dining scene. Although there are plenty of typical strip center stores along Highway 37, if you are a shopper, don’t miss out on our two best shopping areas, downtown Noblesville and Hamilton Town Center.

14. Explore downtown Noblesville

For a fun afternoon of shopping, not many places beat downtown Noblesville. As the county seat of Hamilton County, Noblesville has a beautiful old courthouse set in the center of a traditional downtown square. There are quite a few shops and restaurants all along the square as well as radiating out a block or two.

We’ve visited plenty of small towns in Indiana, and although there are a few exceptions, most of the downtowns are quite disappointing compared to Noblesville. Our downtown is vibrant, busy, and always improving. In addition to the regular selection of local retail and dining options ( no chains here ), the downtown hosts frequent events such as First Fridays, jazz on the courthouse square, regular craft fairs, and more. It feels like there is always something going on.

So, grab a chai latte at Noble Coffee (if you like Chai Lattes, you’ll thank me after your first sip) , and stroll the shops. Between local crafts, trendy boutiques, and antique stores, downtown Noblesville offers something for everyone.

15. Spend an afternoon at Hamilton Town Center

If you prefer a more traditional shopping experience, then Hamilton Town Center should be on your radar. Located on the outskirts of Noblesville, just off of I-69 and next to Ruoff Music Center, this mall just keeps on growing!

Anchored by JC Penney’s and Dick’s Sporting Goods, the outdoor mall is a wonderful place to do back-to-school or holiday shopping, or just freshen up your wardrobe. There are also some delicious restaurants located in the mall, including my favorite quick service – Yat’s , and one of my all-time favorite restaurants, Livery ( get the Carriage House cocktail and some empanadas – YUM! ).

Hamilton Town Center, 13901 Town Center Blvd. Noblesville, IN

“My love for decorating for the holiday season was inspired by the joy I see in my children”, said homeowner Michelle Schmidt, who is participating in this year’s tour. What makes their home on the tour even more special is the addition of a professional pianist who will be playing Michelle’s grandmother’s organ. This promises to add a beautiful and sentimental touch to the overall holiday experience. It is a testament to the warmth and cherished traditions that make the holiday season so magical. How to buy maroon 5 tickets: dates and prices compared for 2024 concert tour.

When you buy through our links, Business Insider may earn an affiliate commission. Learn more

Maroon 5's Las Vegas residency kicks off this month, and tickets are going fast as the band's concert dates fill up. In addition to securing passes for their festival appearances this year, we've broken down how to buy Maroon 5 tickets for their concert tour below.

Originally formed in 1994, Maroon 5 is celebrating 30 years together as they kick off their Las Vegas residency at the Dolby Live at Park MGM. The new tour, referred to in shorthand as "M5LV: The Las Vegas Residency," is an extension of their 16-show residency last year. After their run in Las Vegas last year proved to be a huge hit, the group led by Adam Levine is back for another 16 shows at the Dolby Live theater this year.

Maroon 5's residency begins on May 17, and will feature performances in May, June, September, and October. The Dolby Live theater isn't the only location that Maroon 5 is performing at this year; the pop rock band is set to make festival appearances and headline other venues around North America throughout the spring, summer, and fall.

We've got you covered if you're looking for how to get tickets to Maroon 5's concert tour. Here's our breakdown of Maroon 5's residency and tour schedule, purchasing details, and original and resale ticket price comparisons. You can also browse ticket specifics at your leisure on StubHub and Vivid Seats .

Maroon 5 has 16 concert dates lined up for their Las Vegas residency in 2024. Their shows at the Dolby Live begin on May 17 before the band takes their final bow of the tour on October 12. Additionally, Maroon 5 has nine concerts scheduled for their 2024 tour in various cities around the country.

All concert times are listed in local time zones.

You can buy standard original tickets for Maroon 5's 2024 concert tour on Ticketmaster and Live Nation. Both their Las Vegas residency and outside tour dates still have options available. However, the quantity of remaining original tickets continues to decrease as each concert date approaches.

Passes to see Maroon 5 in their 2024 concert series are also available for purchase through verified ticket resale sites such as StubHub and Vivid Seats . You may find better luck with more variety in seating availability through these resale vendors.

Maroon 5 tickets for their 2024 concerts are generally less expensive than similar big-name acts on tour this year. Of course, original ticket prices for Maroon 5's 2024 tour vary depending on date, location, and demand for each show.

The cheapest standard original tickets for Maroon 5's Las Vegas residency dates begin at $75, while the lowest available prices for their shows elsewhere start at $40 for the band's Clarkston, Michigan concert on June 21. Generally, resale ticket prices for Maroon 5's 2024 shows are comparable to or cheaper than the costs of standard original tickets.

On StubHub, the least expensive tickets for Maroon 5 range from $28 for the group's Holmdel, New Jersey show on June 29 to $116 for their Springfield, Massachusetts concert on July 1. Vivid Seats offers a similar price range, with the band's cheapest ticket prices starting from $27 at their Holmdel show to $114 for Maroon 5's Springfield concert on the same dates.

These resale sites have comparable prices for Maroon 5's Las Vegas residency shows, as well. The starting prices for the band's Las Vegas concerts range between $42 on May 17 and $92 on June 1 on StubHub, or from $41 on October 4 to $85 on June 1 on Vivid Seats.

Maroon 5 is also offering VIP packages for their 2024 concert tour. Their Las Vegas residency dates offer a Premium VIP Banquet package beginning at $495, but these tickets must be sold in multiples of two. The band also offers three VIP packages for their tour dates elsewhere: Diamond Premium Seat (starting at $685), Gold Premium Seat (starting at $435), and Silver Hot Seat (starting at $410).

Who is opening for Maroon 5's tour?

Maroon 5 doesn't have any opening acts for their Las Vegas residency concert dates. But, the band will be joined by Maren Morris for their non-festival touring dates outside Las Vegas in 2024.

Maroon 5 hasn't announced an international leg for their 2024 tour. However, the band has two shows already confirmed for Canada in 2024: June 25 in Toronto, Ontario and July 7 in Ottawa, Ontario.

New Noblesville policy will let bar patrons explore downtown with drink in hand

tour noblesville indiana

Noblesville wants to add some pep to the step of downtown visitors and is betting a cool to-go cocktail is the perfect inducement.

The city will allow customers to carry alcoholic beverages out of restaurants and bars on Historic Noblesville Square and beyond. Officials said they expect the measure will increase sidewalk foot traffic and vitality, untethering patrons from their bar stools or café tables to explore other businesses and socialize outdoors.

“We see this as another way to help drive business by loosening up the rules on the street, another tool in the toolbox” Mayor Chris Jensen said.

The city has applied with the state to be a Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area , which permits businesses to sell drinks that can be carried out. Noblesville lobbied for the bill creating the DORA in the Indiana General Assembly beginning in 2021 until it passed in 2023.

The city council recently approved its DORA map and sent the plan to the Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission for final approval, which could come within a couple of weeks.

Restaurants and bars don’t have to participate in selling to-go drinks and must register with the city if they do. Likewise, shop owners can choose to prohibit cocktail-toting customers from entering.

Businesses that are part of the program will post signs designating their inclusion. The carryout beverages will be in clear, standardized cups with a DORA imprint. Signs will indicate the boundaries of the DORA. People with the carry-out drinks cannot enter other bars with them, or go back in the one where they purchased it.

So far, 13 businesses have joined with a couple more indicating they probably would, said city spokesman Robert Herington.

Jensen said the district is a way to establish a clear and uniform policy.

“It streamlines permitting,” he said.

Isaiah Haymaker, co-owner, of Bica Café, on Conner St. , said he is looking forward to the new policy because he expects it to increase business by freeing up tables.

“It should keep things moving and people walking and gives us space to bring in more people,” he said.

The European-style breakfast spot and bakery is open to 3 p.m. daily and is “slammed” on weekends, he said. Drinks to-go will dampen the impact of customers who linger for hours at a table with a single mimosa, Haymaker said.

“There are a lot of places to sit on the square, so people can buy their food and a drink and find a place outdoors,” he said.

At Alexander's on the Square, an ice cream shop that sells sandwiches, beer and wine, co-owner Cheryl Schulz said customers occasionally ask whether it is permissible to take their drinks outside, most recently visitors in town watching the solar eclipse.

“It would be perfect for that or other events, like concerts on the square,” said Schulz, operator of the shop for 30 years. “It will give customers an alternative to being stuck inside and enhancing the environment.”

“I’ve seen it in other cities like Cincinnati and it seems to work.”

Ten other Indiana municipalities have already been approved for DORAs, including Fort Wayne, Jasper and Shelbyville.

Noblesville boundaries for the district extend from the square across the White River to Federal Hill Commons, roughly the same as the city’s riverfront district boundaries.

The Riverfront designation gives cities an unlimited number of liquor licenses in the district, which must be within 1,500 feet of a flowing body of water. The city has awarded 16 still-active riverfront permits, which are in addition to standard permits based on population.

2024 primary: How to find your polling location on Election Day

tour noblesville indiana

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — After nearly a year of campaigning in some cases, the 2024 primary is finally almost here.

Early voting concluded at noon Monday. The deadline to register to vote in the primary has already passed.

Sixty-three of Indiana’s 92 counties are counties with vote centers. Residents of those counties can cast ballots at any polling location in the county. The list includes Marion, Boone, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Madison, Morgan and Shelby counties. In the remaining 29 counties, voters must cast ballots at their assigned polling location. That list includes Hamilton, Delaware and Brown counties.

Voters can find their polling location by logging onto the secretary of state’s website and entering their name, date of birth, and county of registration. The resulting portal shows both early voting and Election Day locations and hours. Voters can also text IN to 45995 with any questions or concerns.

Polls will open at 6 a.m. local time on Tuesday and close at 6 p.m. local time. Anyone in line at the moment the polls close will still be allowed to cast ballots.

A government-issued photo ID is required to vote. Examples include a driver’s license, a passport, or a military ID. The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles offices will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday and from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, and will prioritize IDs needed for voting . Free nondriver identification cards are available to anyone who can provide proper documentation. The paper interim credential issued by the BMV is considered an acceptable form of ID for voting purposes. People also can cast provisional ballots if they lack proper ID at the polling place.

THE DOOBIE BROTHERS - Canadian Dates Added To 2024 Tour

Four-time Grammy Award winners and Rock & Roll Hall of Famers, The Doobie Brothers, have announced Canadian dates on The 2024 Tour which will touch down in 44 cities across North America, many of which the band has not played in several years. The 2024 Tour will go on to major markets like Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, and New York City at Madison Square Garden on August 7, 2024, before making its way up North hitting cities in Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick.

For the US dates, the Doobie Brothers will also be joined by Grammy Award winning artists Robert Cray and Steve Winwood on various dates. A Blues Hall of Fame inductee, Robert Cray and his band have been touring worldwide since 1974, and singer-songwriter Steve Winwood has composed countless hits over the past five decades including “Higher Love”, “Valerie”, “Back In The High Life Again”, among many others.

General on sale begins Friday, May 10, 2024 at 10:00 AM local time, and a limited number of VIP Packages will also be available, including amazing seats, access to the pre-show soundcheck, preferred entrance and more. For complete tour and ticket information visit LiveNation.com.

The 2024 Tour follows The Doobie Brothers 50th Anniversary Tour which had Tom Johnston, Michael McDonald, Pat Simmons and John McFee back on the road together for the first time in over 25 years. Selling nearly 50 million albums worldwide, The Doobie Brothers have had five top-10 singles, 16 top-40 hits, 3 multi-platinum albums, 7 platinum albums, 14 gold albums and own a rare diamond record for their 1976 album, Best Of The Doobies.

In 2023, the band released a new single, “Lahaina”,  their first release since their 2021 album Liberté. The song, which also featured Mick Fleetwood, Jake Shimabukuro, and Henry Kapono, is in support of those affected by the devastating fires in Maui last year. Along with this new music, The Doobie Brothers’ collection of timeless hits will once again be played by the artists who wrote them, providing fans the rare opportunity to see these Rock and Roll legends performing their full catalog of songs on stage.
