Enegetic and gregarious fun. From the band to the crowd, this ensemble assures a good time, especially in a relatively small venue. Glad I waited to see them after their big festival days were behind them.

The Go! Team were awesome. I real feel good band that never disappoints. Would recommend to anyone that loves and appreciates good music!!!! The Daniel Wakeford Experience and GURR real got the crowd warmed up.

The sound of The Go! Team is unique; everything is turned up to the max, a high-energy fracas between voices and instruments each competing to be heard. If the music isn't absolutely as noisy as it could be - even for a second - maracas or tambourines are enlisted to push it back up to the familiar, fabulous cacophony.

Perhaps unsurprisingly this live performance followed the same rule, with every member of the band who was not encumbered by a drum kit right at the front of the stage, fighting for space and attention.

I was really impressed by the musicianship, the showmanship and of course the energy of the band. I like the way they sound, I like the way they look (picked at random from a student union bar style) the songs are great and Ninja fronts it brilliantly, bossing the crowd and throwing herself into things like a crazed personal trainer.

The Go! Team Concert Tickets

Get the full alternative rock experience when you secure your The Go! Team tickets today with TicketSmarter. Mashing together noisy Sonic Youth-inspired guitars, old skool hip-hop samples, jazz piano lines and funky 1970s movie soundtracks, The Go! Team has been a highly infectious collision of sound and chaos since first forming in Brighton in 2000. Originally the experiments of guitarist Ian Parton who began splicing together obscure nuggets from his record collection into primitive indie-electro soundscapes, the band developed into a six-piece, led by the bubbling enthusiasm of front-woman Ninja, a Londoner with a Nigerian father and half-Egyptian mother, and were nominated for the Mercury Music Prize for their debut 'Thunder, Lightning, Strike' album in 2004.

Full of colorful, explosive, good-natured spirit they sampled acts as diverse as Motown greats The Supremes, indie shoegazers The Teardrop Explodes and soul diva Nancy Sinatra into their own unique sound, and became firm festivals favorites in Europe with singles 'Bottle Rocket' and 'Ladyflash'.

Their next album 'Proof of Youth' was equally chaotic and 'Rolling Blackouts' in 2011 featured guest appearances from Satomi Matsuzaki of Deerhoof and Bethany Cosentino of Best Coast. Family commitments within the band limited their activity over the years, but they did reform for 'The Scene Between' in 2015 and again in 2017 with fifth studio album 'Semicircle', mixing samples, live band recordings and an array of special guests, including hip-hop legend Chuck D, electro diva Solex and Bonde do Rolê ex-singer Marina Ribatski. go team tour

Two of Medellín’s rising stars are going on tour together in the U.S. this fall. Today (July 8), Colombian singers Blessd and Ryan Castro announced the dates for their upcoming ¡Ay Bendito Ghetto! Tour 2024.

Following in the footsteps of Karol G, Feid, Maluma, and J Balvin, Blessd and Castro have emerged as the next Medellín natives to watch out for. That LP includes the song “ Quema ” featuring Peso Pluma. Now, Blessd and Castro are joining forces for a U.S. tour.

“This tour in the U.S. with Ryan is something very special for me because together we gained recognition from the same song [‘Quien TV’], and have proven that through our collaborative work, great results come about,” Blessd shared in a statement “Both our teams are very close and have a real brotherhood bond because we all know each other and have worked together in the past, so the shows we are going to give are going to be amazing!”

The ¡Ay Bendito Ghetto! Tour got its name after the nicknames of Blessd (“El Bendito”) and Ryan Castro (“El Cantante del Ghetto”). The tour will kick off on Oct. 31 at the San Jose Civic in San Jose, CA. Throughout November, Blessd and Castro will bring the hits to cities like Los Angeles, CA; San Diego, CA; Houston, TX; New Jersey, NJ; Washington, DC; and Orlando, FL. Norwegian professional cyclist Andre Drege has died following a crash during the Tour of Austria.

The 25-year-old, a rider for Team Coop-Repsol, suffered the accident during a mountain descent on stage 4 of the event on Saturday.

Race organisers said the incident happened during the descent of the Grossglockner where Drege “crashed and sustained severe injuries”.

Meet the U.S. Women's Gymnastics Team Before the 2024 Paris Olympics

The 2024 Olympic Games are drawing near, and five U.S. gymnasts just bought their tickets to Paris.

After four days of trials, the women's gymnastics team was officially revealed on June 30. Led by Olympic veteran Simone Biles , the power-packed team is ready to live up to their legacy.

Alongside Biles is Tokyo's reigning all-around champion Suni Lee and two more returning Tokyo team members, Jordan Chiles and Jade Carey . Newcomer Hezly Rivera rounds out the team and is more than ready to compete at her first Olympic Games.

Keep scrolling to get to know the 2024 U.S. Women's Olympics Gymnastics team:

Simone Biles

Biles , 27, is the oldest gymnast to compete in the games in 72 years. The gymnast came onto the scene in 2016 at the Rio Games, where she earned gold for her performances in the all-around, team, vault and floor exercises. She has since become a household name, winning five gold medals at the 2019 World Championships and coining five moves with her name across vault, balance beam and floor.

Despite earning a spot on the team, Biles withdrew from the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. Though opening up about her mental health and Olympic experience was "empowering so many people," Biles struggled still with feelings of failure.

"I wish I could sit here and tell you it was glorious," she told Vanity Fair in her February 2024 cover story. "After 2020, it was kind of depressing until I started therapy and got help."

Despite her ups and downs, Biles "knew it wasn't done after Tokyo." Now, she's back on the mat and stronger than ever, a mental health advocate and the most-decorated gymnast of all time.

Simone Biles Through the Years: From Gymnastics GOAT to Blushing Bride

The reigning all-around champion might seem like a shoo-in for the team, but after taking a break from the sport in 2023, Lee wasn't sure she'd ever compete again.

The 20-year-old announced via X in April 2023 that she had been facing health issues related to her kidneys that prevented her from competing.

"For my safety, the medical team did not clear me to train and compete over the last few weeks," she wrote . "I am blessed and thankful to be working with the best specialized medical team to treat and manage my diagnosis. My focus at this time is my health and recovery."

She made a comeback in August 2023, with her eyes set on making the 2024 team once again. She took to Instagram to announce her return to the sport.

"This comeback was so much more than my return to elite gymnastics," she wrote . "It was me proving to myself that I can overcome hard things, and to hopefully inspire others to never let life's setbacks stop you from going after your dreams."

Known for her excellence on the uneven bars, Lee is one of four Tokyo veterans set to compete for the U.S.

Jordan Chiles

The former UCLA star and decorated athlete is back on the scene and ready for redemption. A longtime friend and teammate of Biles, the 23-year-old gymnast previously won a silver medal at the Olympics in Tokyo.

Ahead of the 2024 competition, Chiles opened up to Us exclusively about how she prepares.

"We don't want to be a hundred percent now because we do have three months out until the actual Olympic Games to where we [need to] give our a hundred percent then," she told Us. "So I would say right now about 75, 80 percent [now and] that extra 20 percent will definitely be there in Paris for sure."

Along with Biles, Chiles has been open about prioritizing mental wellness as an athlete.

"I think for me now is just being able to help my teammates in a way to make sure they're on the right track or whatever, and making sure that they feel good within themselves."

Olympic Athletes: Where Are They Now?

Carey, 24, is the reigning champion on floor exercise, earning gold at the Tokyo Games, where she competed individually. After her stint as an Olympian, she went on to compete at the collegiate level for Oregon State.

Known for her excellence on floor and vault, Carey has shown steady improvement since returning to the elite level and is sure to deliver high scores in Paris. The daughter of two decorated gymnasts, Carey is still coached by her father, who was there to support her in Tokyo. Now a junior at Oregon State, Carey told NBC the Olympics mean "everything" to her.

"I think they've been saying, we all have some sort of redemption that we want, so it's just incredible to be sitting here today and truly enjoying the gymnastics that I'm doing and having fun with all these girls. And I'm excited for Paris," she said.

Hezly Rivera

Rivera is not your average high school student. The youngest member of this year's team and the 2023 U.S. junior champion, the New Jersey native is starting off her elite career with a bang. Competing for the first time at the senior level, what Hezly lacks in experience she makes up for in skill.

Rivera's father, whom she describes as her "rock," can always be found cheering her on from the stands.

"He always pushes me to be my best, but he's also comforting when things get rough," Rivera told reporters at the trials.

Suni Lee, Simone Biles, Hezly Rivera, Jordan Chiles and Jade Carey pose after being selected for the 2024 U.S. Olympic Women's Gymnastics Team.

As Biden team suggests there can be no alternative, DNC rules provide a path if Biden were to step aside

WASHINGTON — As President Joe Biden’s campaign tries to calm nervous Democrats, the Democratic National Committee is circulating  talking points  that misleadingly suggest, according to some sources, there is no procedural means of replacing the president at the top of the party’s ticket — without sharing the path ahead if he were to step aside.

"Joe Biden will be the Democratic Party's nominee for president," the talking points read, according to a copy provided by a source who received them. "Any other discussion is a distraction and 'brokered' conventions are a thing of the past."

They go on to say that "the only person eligible for nomination is Joe Biden."

Biden has been firm in saying he will stay in the race, and the "DNC Talking Points for Convention Nomination Rules" that are being circulated within the party are mostly accurate — up until the party's August convention ends.

But as the party’s rules stand now, according to three people who are familiar with them and the DNC’s 2022 document outlining procedures for the convention, there is a process for replacing Biden if he voluntarily chooses to step aside after the convention ends on Aug. 22.

Under the existing rule, Democratic National Committee Chair Jamie Harrison would name a new nominee, in consultation with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., and Democratic Governors Association Chair Tim Walz of Minnesota. Their choice would be presented to DNC members — a group of party leaders much smaller and more elite than the delegates to the convention — for ratification or rejection.

Biden’s nomination is expected to occur before that, in a virtual roll call of state delegations in late July or early August. The convention's rules committee is expected to set a date at a meeting July 19.

The Biden campaign wants everyone to think “chaos would reign” if Biden stepped aside, said a person familiar with the DNC process. “Thats why they’re not admitting there’s a rule.”

A Democratic staffer in a battleground state called the talking points "beyond f----ed up."

"This is what MAGA Republicans do, not us. DNC needs to get a grip," the person said.

Harrison said in a statement: “The primary is over, and in every state the will of Democratic voters was clear: Joe Biden will be the Democratic Party’s nominee for President. Delegates are pledged to reflect voters’ sentiment, and over 99% of delegates are already pledged to Joe Biden headed into our convention."

The Biden campaign did not immediately reply to a request for comment.

Democrats have been agonizing over Biden's fitness for the top of their ticket since his blundering debate performance Thursday, when he repeatedly struggled to make cogent arguments and often looked lost. A handful of them have called on him to step aside to preserve or improve their chances of defeating former President Donald Trump and win majorities in the House and the Senate.

Based on Federal Election Commission rules governing how money can be transferred if there is a substitute candidate, Democratic National Committee rules and the political optics of a fight that would imperil support from Black voters and women, most Democratic insiders say it is hard to see how anyone other than Vice President Kamala Harris would end up as the nominee if it is not Biden.

Before the convention, several thousand elected convention delegates — almost all of whom are pledged to Biden — have the power to choose the party's nominee.

"Because there was no primary opponent, the overwhelming majority of the elected delegates are Biden delegates ... so on the first ballot he would be the nominee," a DNC member said. But, this member said, that would change if Biden left the nomination vacant after having received it.

"In the case of that historic moment, the members of the DNC will choose the nominee for the party," the DNC member said.

It is also still possible for the convention delegates to change the rules at the convention, which occurs after the nomination by a virtual roll call.

“It all could make for a more orderly convention” if Biden is nominated through the virtual roll call and then releases his delegates before the actual convention and Harrison uses the rule.

But there is also a chance it would backfire with some members of the party, who felt there should be an open convention.

“You could argue you don’t want a coordination at this point, either, because that could backfire at some point," the source said.

Campaign-finance law experts say that it is likely that Biden's campaign war chest could be transferred to Harris because she is his running mate and appears as such on filings with the FEC. But any other candidate would most likely have to raise new money for his or her campaign.

There are other complications for any scenario that does not include Biden as the nominee: 50 state laws govern the printing of ballots, and it might be difficult to get a new candidate on some of those ballots.

And yet, the Biden campaign and its allies are concerned enough about discord within the party that they are actively asserting that Biden is the only candidate who could carry the party's standard in November.

At the same time, some prominent Democrats have emphasized both names on the ticket — Biden and Harris — in recent interviews and opened the door to the idea that Harris could be the party's presidential candidate.

“I’m a Biden-Harris person, so I’m not getting away from that," Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C., whose endorsement helped fuel Biden's support among Black voters in the 2020 primary, said after the debate . "I’m for Biden-Harris. I’m going to be for Biden if Harris ain’t there, and I’m going to be for Harris if Biden ain’t there."

NFL All-Breakout Team: Players on their rookie contract that could take the next step in 2024

The afc south is loaded with talented young quarterbacks.

getty-anthony-richardson-colts.jpg

NFL players develop at their own pace; not every All-Pro reaches that status from the moment they arrive on the scene. Exploring players still on their rookie contract, I constructed this team of breakouts, which is not to say all of them will reach All-Pro or even Pro Bowl distinction, but that they have an attainable higher level of play.

Without further ado, the breakout team:

Quarterback: Anthony Richardson , Colts

Richardson had flashes of brilliance but was largely up and down prior to his injury. The reason for confidence stems from head coach Shane Steichen's proficiency as an offensive play-caller, as well as the overall health of the offensive line and skill groups. Those elements alone should give Richardson a fighting chance to take a big leap forward in Year 2.

Honorable mention: Will Levis , Titans

Running back: Tyjae Spears , Titans

Spears spent most of last season backing up a running back literally and figuratively bigger than life in Nashville. He finished just shy of 500 rushing yards and 400 receiving yards. The team drafted J.C. Latham No. 7 overall and then hired renowned offensive line coach Bill Callahan to guide the unit. The Tulane product finished fourth in tackle avoidance rate among running backs with at least 100 carries last season (26.0%), according to TruMedia. Tennessee did sign Tony Pollard in free agency but that should not scare away those looking to invest in Spears' fantasy future.

Wide receivers: Dontayvion Wicks , Packers ; Drake London , Falcons ; Michael Wilson , Cardinals

Wilson ranked in the Top-10 in average depth of target among pass catchers with at least 30 receptions last season, according to TruMedia. Wicks (74.4%) and Wilson (76.3%) each ranked among the Top-10 in percentage of receptions that went for either a touchdown or a first down. Wilson will not have to shoulder as much pressure to carry Arizona's pass game this season now that Marvin Harrison Jr . has arrived.

The Rams style offense that Zac Robinson is bringing over has always rewarded wide receivers willing to block in space. Going back to my notes from the 2022 NFL Draft , London was a committed blocker, driving his feet on contact in the run game. He became more effective as he added mass to his frame. As Atlanta welcomes its new offense, London is one that stands to benefit the most.

Honorable mention: Jameson Williams , Lions ; Marvin Mims , Broncos

Tight end: Luke Musgrave , Packers

Musgrave missed six games last season and still managed to record 34 receptions for 352 yards and one touchdown in a Packers offense that found itself as the season progressed. Musgrave is the prototypical NFL tight end. Another season in the system, an offseason removed of distraction and, hopefully, a return to full health should allow him to have the type of breakout season that Green Bay expected from him when he was taken No. 42 overall.

Honorable mention: Kyle Pitts , Falcons; Dalton Kincaid , Bills

Offensive tackles: Broderick Jones , Steelers ; Wanya Morris , Chiefs

Most of the NFL's best offensive tackles were taken in the first round of the draft and those players tend to start immediately. Since rookies are not a part of this equation, the pickings are slim. Jones allowed five sacks on 378 pass blocking snaps as a rookie last season, according to TruMedia. The former Georgia Bulldog saw time at right tackle last season but will return to left tackle where he played in college. Combined with the arrival of offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, who facilitated the improvement of multiple offensive linemen during his time in Atlanta, Jones could be on the brink of an outbreak.

Morris has shown NFL talent since his time at Tennessee but his career has been defined by inconsistency to this point. A right tackle at Oklahoma, Morris will now compete with second round pick Kingsley Suamataia for the starting left tackle position. The lack of urgency to sign a veteran in free agency suggests that Kansas City may have more confidence than the general public in protecting Patrick Mahomes ' blindside. Last season, the third round pick was beaten on 4.9% of 223 pass blocking snaps, according to TruMedia.

Offensive guards: Peter Skoronski , Titans; Alijah Vera-Tucker , Jets

Skoronski has settled in at offensive guard in Nashville. He was beaten on just 1.2% of 487 pass protection snaps last season, according to TruMedia. Those numbers do not tell the whole story but the point is that there is a firm foundation on which Callahan can begin to build upon and remodel. Callahan was able to take offensive guard Wyatt Teller from a player acquired for what amounted to late round draft picks to an All-Pro.

The narrative surrounding Vera-Tucker is similar to that of Carter. He is viewed favorably across the league but availability and not being yanked from one leak in the plumbing to the next should allow him to reach new heights. Colts offensive guard Will Fries would have been the choice opposite Skoronski had it not been for Vera-Tucker. As noted in my piece about profiling NFL All-Pros and projecting who may be next , there is a high correlation between offensive linemen taken in the first round and future success. Skoronski and Vera-Tucker check that box.

Honorable mention: Will Fries, Colts; Nick Saldiveri , Saints

Center: Cam Jurgens , Eagles

Even though the offensive output took a nosedive in 2023, there is still confidence projecting that unit forward because of offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland's presence. Stoutland is one of the most respected teachers of the position in football and recent retiree Jason Kelce has been pouring knowledge into Jurgens since the latter was drafted in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft .

Honorable mention: Juice Scruggs , Texans

Edge rushers: Odafe Oweh , Ravens; Travon Walker , Jaguars

It is not an ideal time to buy stock in Oweh considering all of the defections from Baltimore's defensive coaching staff. However, he profiles as an impact player at this level. His sack per pressure rate (9.8%) was relatively low compared to his pressure rate (17.2%), so he will have to do a better job finishing plays in 2024. Unfortunately, that was part of the concern coming out of Penn State. The Ravens have earned a reputation of pulling the most out of that group over the years with the likes of Pernell McPhee , Za'Darius Smith and more.

Walker took his pressure rate up three percentage points and did a better job of finishing plays in a year. The presence of Josh Allen on the opposite side, plus the infusion of veteran defensive tackle Arik Armstead should create even more one-on-one opportunities for the No. 1 overall pick this season. Another year of maturity in the system should lead to improved results.

Honorable mention: George Karlaftis , Chiefs; Lukas Van Ness , Packers; Yaya Diaby , Buccaneers; Keion White , Patriots

Defensive tackles: Jalen Carter , Eagles; Karl Brooks , Packers

Carter recorded six sacks as a rookie and it seemed as though he was destined for Defensive Rookie of the Year honors. Although Year 1 could be considered a success, there is another level for him to take his game. The ex-Bulldog was credited with 37.2 pass rush pressures by TruMedia, which ranked No. 38 among all players.

The other spot was a hotly-contested three-horse race between Bears interior defender German Dexter Sr., Steelers interior defender Keeanu Benton and Brooks. Dexter and Brooks had similar pressure rates -- 10.4% and 10.3%, respectively -- whereas Benton is more of a run stuffer.

Honorable mention: Gervon Dexter Sr., Bears; Keeanu Benton, Steelers

Linebackers: Terrel Bernard , Bills; Christian Harris , Texans

Bernard was thrust into the equation last year when Matt Milano got hurt but he grew into the role. He was a rusher on just 10.6% of opponent dropbacks, according to TruMedia, and still managed 6.5 sacks. Bernard was also fifth among linebackers in defensive passer rating.

Harris was very inconsistent on his 712 defensive snaps but there were reasons for optimism. Head coach DeMeco Ryans ' background is linebacker. With an upgraded talent floor in Houston, there is no reason to believe that Harris will not take another step forward.

Honorable mention: Malik Harrison , Ravens ; Jamin Davis , Commanders ; Micah McFadden , Giants ; Devin Lloyd , Jaguars

Cornerbacks: Christian Gonzalez , Patriots ; Derek Stingley Jr. , Texans; Cordale Flott , Giants

Gonzalez was among the league's best rookies until he sustained an injury in October. Although Bill Belichick is gone, Jerod Mayo remains in control of the operation. With his length and collegiate ball production, Gonzalez is well-positioned to bounce back. Stingley's issues have been similar. Over the the course of two seasons, he has six interceptions and 14 games missed. Dating back to his freshman season at Baton Rouge, Stingley has been regarded as a top talent at his position.

Flott would have been a member of my better than team coming into the draft had I written one, so there is some bias at play here. The reality is that a slot cornerback was needed for this team and the honorable mention cornerbacks and safety profiled more in other roles. Flott is worth a flier as he takes on an expanded role.

Horn would have an opportunity to make the list if he were able to stay healthy, plus the anticipated Carolina pass rush is not going to instill any amount of fear into its opposition. Emerson is another promising young talent but the lasting memory of the Texans having their way with the Cleveland secondary has taken residence in my mind.

Honorable mention: Jaycee Horn , Panthers ; Martin Emerson , Browns ; Zyon McCollum , Buccaneers

Safeties: Kerby Joseph , Lions; Ji'Ayir Brown , 49ers

TruMedia has a metric that measures the passer rating by opposing quarterbacks against coverage players; Joseph ranked third last season (28.0). Emerson, above, was fifth (28.7). Joseph had four interceptions last season, but, with improved talent around him, the Illinois product has the opportunity to put himself in Pro Bowl and All-Pro consideration.

The depth chart has been cleared for Brown to see more playing time this fall. He played less than 400 defensive snaps in 15 games last season but managed two interceptions. As he gains more experience, his play could take a jump.

Honorable mention: Dax Hill, Bengals
