Special cruises since 1987, captain vangelis welcomes you on board and wishes you a pleasant trip. you are about to set quest for hidden and unreachable beaches of kefalonia, ithaca, fiscardo, and zakynthos. a quest for care-free, relaxation and fun.

Departing from Skala, we organize cruises to Zakynthos, the island with the infamous shipwreck beach and the caved beaches. You can also take a daily cruise to Ithaca, and explore the island of Ulysses, and take a stroll in the beautiful city of Vathi, or Kioni. Discover the southeast cost of Kefalonia by sea with stops at Sami(Mellisani lake) and Fiskardo, the only untouched village by the devasting 1953 earthquake. In all our cruises you enjoy two swimming stops at selected beaches.  Our love for the sea, our 40 year nautical experience and our hospitality guarantee that you will have an interesting, safe, and pleasant cruise!

Sunset Cruise

On this sea tour in the southern part of the island, we gaze and admire the magnificent sunset as the sun disappears behind the ridges of Koimomeni, while at the same time enjoying the sea breeze, drinking chilled local traditional wine.

The "Sunset Cruise" starts in the afternoon, just before sunset, from the port of Poros and continues with a guided tour of approximately 60 minutes along the beaches, passing by the Poros Naval base, the "Villa Galini" owned by Ionas Dragoumis, Mikro Neorio, the Megalo Neorio, the Lover's bay, the Russian Naval Station, Daskalio "the island of love", which is shaped like a heart, then we pass through the channel of the bay of Poros and return to the port.

The boat is called "JOHN NAKIS" and is passenger / tourist built in Syros in 1993, wooden, 11.5 meters liberty with HP 225 perkins engine horsepower.

The license of the boat is for:

• Latza with a capacity of up to 49 people and sails around 3 n.m.
• Tourist boat with a capacity of up to 25 people and no cruise restrictions.

What does a fishing & boat trip include?

The participants travel with a safe boat, with amenities which include kitchen, fridge, WC, shower, bunk bed, shading and fishing equipment. It’s essentially a fishing experience with different techniques: rod, handline, nets and longline.

This is followed by swimming at secluded beaches and coves, otherwise inaccessible. The food is cooked on board with the catch of the day and many other local products.

Sea stories, conversations and photos accompany you throughout the trip.

In addition, there is the possibility to adapt the basic program according to the wishes of the participating group.

Fishing with Captain Tasos

Captain Tasos is a professional fisherman from 1994. From all these years, the journeys and the fishing, he managed to gain a great experience in the sea and in the fishing.

He is willing to teach you the basic secrets for the perfect fish catch and show you different fishing techniques, always with respect towards the sea and the things it offers us.

The teqniques that we use is handline, fishing rod and upon request we can use fishing nets and longline fishing.

Get ready for an incredible boat trip from the port of Poros to Zakynthos . The adventure begins with a visit to an iconic shipwreck . From afar, you will enjoy a sight that holds both mystery and beauty. We will make a 20-minute stop, allowing you to take pictures and let your imagination fly as you immerse yourself in the inspiring presence of the wreck. Of course, you are welcome to bring snacks and beverages for the trip. Moreover, you will also be able to purchase refreshments on board throughout the whole trip. Then, depending on the weather, we will navigate towards the majestic Blue Caves , where you will have 15 minutes to enjoy the splendour of the colourful caves. Alternatively, we will visit the beautiful San Andreas beach . Either way, we will make sure to take around 30 minutes to plunge into the sea . Of course, our team is prepared to lend you a snorkeling equipment to take a glimpse into the underwater world. The trip will continue in St. Nikolaos, a picturesque village in Zakynthos , brimming with tavernas, ready to offer you a delicious Greek meal and stunning sea views. After 1.5 hours, the captain will choose a secluded beach, where you will have one last opportunity to swim and snorkel for 30 minutes . Finally, after a wonderful day at sea, we will return to the Port of Poros. Odysseus island place where is the proud and heroic king Ulysses lived. Visit the capital of Ithaca, Vathi (1,5hr stop) - explore museums, have a coffee or just enjoy shopping Then cruise to the small fishermen's village Kioni for lunch. Taste delicious Greek cuisine in one of the tavernas (1,5hr stop) On the way back swim in the turqoise water of Ithaca’s virgin beach or just relax on board Hermes (1hr swimming stop).

CRUISES TO FISCARDO

Friday:  Poros - swim stop - Fiscardo - Beach BBQ - Poros   

Let’s do the Fiskardo cruise differently! This year we have a new program on the Fiskardo cruise. Firstly we will sail towards Fiskardo with one swim stop on the way at Agia Sofia beach.  On arrival at the cosmopolitan Fiskardo you will have approximately 1 hr to discover the small Saint Tropez of the Ionian islands, as it is called. Enough time for a coffee, snack and walk. The town is one of Kefalonia’s most beautiful places, with small leafy streets, postcard views across the harbour. 

ZAKYNTHOS CRUISES

This island is known for its most amazing beach - Shipwreck Beach (Navajo) and sea turtles Caretta-Caretta. Cruise directly to Navajo where we stop for about 1 hour. Then on way to the port of Agios Nikolaos spot ruins of Saint Andreas monastery and admire the wild part of Zakynthos as well as the enchanting Blue Caves at Skinari (photo stop). Time for lunch and swim for 2 hrs at Agios Nikolaos port.

Enjoy a lazy day on the sea swimming in the turquoise waters and being spoiled with the most amazing virgin beaches of Kefalonia's Eastern coast. Let's sail with us and enjoy 2 swim stops ( 30 minutes each) and a long stop on Koutsoupia beach where the BBQ will be prepared and served on the beach!

We booked a day tour to Ithaca. We were picked up from Poros port. We visited Vathi and Kioni. Both places are amazing. We also had a swim stop. The boat is nice and clean.  Staff is very friendly, kind and helpful. Highly recommended!
