Welcome to EXO 

EXO was born out of true passion for sharing the experience and thrill of off-roading. In 2011, we began our journey as just a group of friends who organized informal off-road runs and soon realized the demand for a more professional and organized experience.

After years of runs and trail experiences in the US, we held our first run in Baja Mexico in 2014.  In addition to pre-running and planning, we invested time and resources building relationships with local Baja contacts, ensuring cooperation and assistance where needed.  With over a decade of experience and well over half a million dirt-miles under our belts, you will not find a more experienced team than Expedition X Offroad.

We understand our adventures are bucket list experiences for our participants so we do not take this responsibility lightly. We focus on a true worry-free experience. All you need to do is show up and we handle the rest.  Our goal is to provide a VIP experience to every participant, which we have become known for.

Our trail leaders excel at keeping the group moving, regardless of any mechanical issue you or any of the participants may experience. In the rare event our professional mechanics can’t address your issues on the trail, we have a chase truck and trailer (stocked with spare parts, a welder, and generator) shadowing the group to provide additional assistance if needed. 

Finally, upon arrival to the hotel each day, our support crew ensures a swift check-in process by preparing all rooms in advance while providing a cold drink with a shot of tequila to celebrate our victories on the trail.

Pure Cabo is proud to offer side-by-side all-terrain vehicle rentals, perfect for one-of-a-kind off-road adventures in Todos Santos & San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico.  We specialize in self-guided CanAM RZR tours through the desert. This is not your typical CanAm tour . If you cannot tolerate speed and rough terrain on real trails and instead, want a simple guided beach tour then please look at our Cabo ATV Tours or RZR UTV Off-Road excursions .

Performance Baja Off-Road Racers

This is a performance Baja off-road racer. You have two choices:

• Ride with a guide
• Ride solo with a GPS iPad Map

We provide pre-mapped GPS-guided trails and destinations to take your off-road adventure to the next level!  You get instruction, an iPad with GPS, and the keys- the rest is up to you and your co-pilot. Each rental package comes complete with fuel, insurance, helmets, Ride Command satellite navigation, Rugged Radio car-to-car/intercom communications, and SPOT satellite communications, providing the ultimate Baja off-road experience. The cost covers both the driver and a passenger, with extra passengers charged at $50 per person. There's no need to refuel or clean the vehicle before returning it.

Upon your arrival, we will provide you with a thorough vehicle orientation. We will introduce you to the wonders of the Baja Backcountry and the countless opportunities available for you and your family. You'll then be provided with:

• All Groups receive a Touch Screen GPS technology mapping device that clearly shows routes names, intersections, forks in the road, and water crossings
• A detailed paper map of the area we provide during your check-in
• An emergency communication device in all Polaris RZRs

If you're an adventure seeker or nature enthusiast seeking a fresh perspective of Mexico while atop the stunning Sierra mountains, our CanAm side-by-side vehicle offers the perfect blend of luxury and off-roading. You'll be led along real off-road trails by GPS, winding around bends and over hills, making for an authentic Baja off-road tour experience.

The excursion at our location in Todos Santos. Check-in time is at 9:00 am. The tour from Todos Santos to Punta Pescadero / Los Barriles traverses 235 km and takes approximately 5 hours to complete. Equipped with an all-new Polaris RZR, navigate through a thrilling high-altitude trail before heading down to San Jose del Cabo for fueling and pit support. The adventure continues riding the winding roads before heading down to the beautiful Sea of Cortez coastline. 

On Day 2, gear up for 145 km of incredible terrain. This breathtaking ride across the peninsula includes an opportunity to explore the historic mining town of El Triunfo. After a full day of discovery, we will make our way back to Todos Santos.

2-Day Cortez Desert Route

We begin this epic adventure in Todos Santos at 9:00 am. Equipped with all-new Polaris RZRs and gear, we’ll head towards El Triunfo (62 km) to enjoy a delicious meal with local flair. The journey continues down the rugged mountain terrain along the old silver route. We’ll make our way toward the town of San Antonio and Los Planes (la Ventana Bay) to rendezvous with the support team for gasoline, drinks, and a short rest before starting the ascent to the city La Paz. This is roughly a 190 km route that should take approximately 5-6 hrs.

On the second day, our trip will take us across 162 km of Baja backcountry. Crossing the peninsula from the Sea of Cortez to the Pacific Ocean, we will travel along the original route of the Baja 1000 racecourse. Brace yourself for the excitement of challenging terrain before exploring 70 km of coastline to Los Inocentes ranch – an isolated beach on the Pacific coast. After a full day of adventuring, we’ll head back to Todos Santos.

Any truck that is in good working order. That meets the minimum truck requirements. If your truck has been recently built we require at a minimum 250 miles on it to ensure its in proper working order.

No worries! Just keep an open mind. The essence of off-roading is driving within your comfort zone and visibility. This guarantees a safe and enjoyable trip. Remember, it’s not a race; we’re here to support all trucks, whether fast or slow.

We have experienced mechanics on-site to ensure you’re well taken care of. In case your truck cannot be repaired on the trail, we have a chase truck ready to pick it up and bring it back to the hotel. From there, we will diligently work on repairing your truck. If, despite our efforts, we are unable to fix it locally and it needs to be repaired in the USA, we will tow your truck back at no additional cost. Your satisfaction and peace of mind are our top priorities.

Absolutely! We take pride in being a family-friendly environment where everyone can enjoy a memorable experience together. From the youngest to the oldest, there’s something for everyone. Our dedicated team ensures a safe and welcoming atmosphere so that you and your loved ones can create cherished memories while having the time of your lives. We appreciate your interest in bringing your furry friend, but unfortunately, we have to prioritize the safety and comfort of all participants. As much as we love animals, our off-roading adventures are not suitable for accommodating dogs. The rough terrain and unpredictable conditions might not be suitable for pets, and we wouldn’t want to put them or any of our participants at risk.

However, we assure you that we are constantly exploring ways to provide pet-friendly activities in the future. For now, we recommend finding a safe and enjoyable environment where your dog can have a blast while you’re out having fun on our thrilling off-road adventures. Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to see you on our trails soon!

Thank you for considering our off-roading adventure! We understand that plans can sometimes change, and we want to ensure a fair policy for our participants. To secure your spot on the trip, we do require a deposit, which is fully refundable if you decide to cancel at least 30 days before the scheduled trip date.

However, if unforeseen circumstances arise after this 30-day window, and you are unable to join us for the current trip, don’t worry! We honor a full credit that you can use for any future runs. This credit can be applied for any reason you can’t make it to the trip, giving you the flexibility to join us on a later date that suits you better.

ON YOUR ADVENTURE

You will experience 'The Real Baja' and all it has to offer. We begin in Northern Baja and ride our way down and across the peninsula to Southern Baja and finish in Cabo San Lucas. This all-inclusive off-road tour takes you to see 300-year-old Missions, untouched beaches, cactus forests, and some of the most beautiful bays and mountains on earth. The route loosely covers some of the traditional Baja 1000 racecourse, and then continues onto Cabo San Lucas, “The Lands’ End”.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE:

Friday thru Thursday tour. ​

Ground Transportation- All ground transfers from the Holiday Inn Old Town San Diego through to your last nights stay outside of Cabo in Todas Santos. You will be responsible for booking your flight home from Cabo and for transport to the airport.

Food- 'Feast Like Kings' After running hard you are wanting good food, and lots of it! All meals, including hearty breakfasts, trail-side lunches, dinner at some of the finest seafood/steak restaurants, trail snacks, bottled water, and sports drinks (Alcohol not included).

Hotels- We stay at many of the nice hotels that Baja has to offer while your journey unfolds. All rooms are double occupancy. ​

Fully prepped/maintained dirt bike or SxS (SxS's are double occupancy ONLY).

Full crew including experienced & qualified certified mechanics, chase truck drivers.

BUGGY - $8,975 PER PERSON

We require a $1000.00 non-refundable tour deposit to secure you on your desired ride date.

The balance is due in full 30 days prior to the departure date. 

Refunds: DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. No refunds on the entire balance if canceled 30 days or less from desired ride date.

The pricing for tours  is subject to change at the discretion of Go Baja Adventure Tours . We reserve  the right to adjust the pricing up to 30 days before the scheduled tour date. Any changes in pricing will be communicated to the Client in writing.                  ​

6 guests minimum to make a tour roll.                          

Coming solo? You can join an already booked tour and team up with another solo in the double occupancy UTV and hotel accommodations.

For the initiated and familiar, Mexico’s favorite tropical paradise at Lands Ends in Baja is the new French Riviera and Wide Open Excursions has a tour to get you there and get you acquainted with the sunny shores of Cabo San Lucas. Our guests could explore the vast expanse of southern Baja’s wide open spaces: pristine beaches, beautiful desert vistas, steep inland canyons and quaint villages set amidst the stunning blue Sea of Cortez. You begin and end the adventure in a location legendary for the planet’s best off-road driving, deep sea fishing and raucous night life.

DAY 1 | ARRIVAL DAY

Meet your Wide Open guide in the Tesoro lobby at 6:00pm for a fun and comprehensive Driver’s Orientation after which you will enjoy dinner at the Baja Cantina. Our professional guides will make sure everyone is familiar with our race cars, understands tour procedures and gets properly fitted with safety equipment. Please make sure that you limit your liquid enjoyment and taste of Baja until after the briefing so that you can fully assimilate the important information you will be given. Once our dinner is complete, we encourage you to relax poolside or venture into town for an evening of Cabo’s rockin’ nightlife. Enjoy!

How old do I have to be to drive?

You must be 18 yrs old with a valid driver’s license and or at least 16 yrs of age with a valid driver’s license and parent/guardian present inside the vehicle with minor.

How fast can I drive?

We ask that you only drive our Baja Challenge vehicles at speeds which are comfortable for you. Our guides tailor each tour to individual clients needs and comfort levels. Yet if you must know, our vehicles have a top speed of 90+ mph.

Do I need experience?

If you are driving you must have experience with manual transmission. Unfortunately we do not have any vehicle with automatic transmissions. As for the off-road aspect of the trip, our professional guides will teach you all you need to know to conquer Baja.
