We had a very pleasant & comfortable stay at the Hotel. The rooms were really neat, clean & hygienic. Especially Dipankar was always available to help us & made sure we had a memorable experience at the Hotel.

Pelling in the West district. The stunning view of the Khangchendzonga and nearby peaks is the main draw of the location, which is 10 km from Geyzing and 130 miles from Gangtok. Within less than a kilometre of here is the well-known Pemayangste monastery, a popular destination for tourists. Along with acting as a starting point for a number of treks in the area, Pelling also has places for mountain biking, rock climbing, village tours, and meditation. All nature lovers and adventure seekers should spend their vacations in the picturesque village of Pelling.

  Day 01: Njp to Pelling

Pelling, a beautiful town in the West district of Sikkim, has become the second biggest tourist destination in Sikkim after Gangtok. Located 10 km from Geyzing and 130 km from Gangtok, the main attraction of the place is the breathtaking sight of the Khangchendzonga and the neighbouring peaks

The famous Pemayangste monastery is less than a kilometre from here and is a major tourist hotspot. Pelling also has sites for mountain biking, rock climbing, village tours, meditations, apart from serving as a base for a number of treks in the region. The scenic town of Pelling is a perfect holiday destination for all nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts. Pelling, a beautiful petite town sited at a height of 6800ft was initially covered with wild thick forest which served as home to many indigenous wild animals of that period including Wildman( may not be yeti though). This ridge being situated in between two old Buddhist monasteries (Pemayangtse and Sangacholing) developed into a full-fledged village named Pelling. Today, Pelling is one of the best-chosen tourist hotspots in Sikkim. More than that, Pelling is the heart where all the breathtaking tourist spots of West Sikkim can be visited. A destination for all seasons, Pelling has hotels and resorts catering to all budgets. Named after the guardian deity of Sikkim, Khangchendzonga Festival is held at Pelling every year.

Pelling is at the altitude of 2000meters, where the temperature in summer goes up to 25 degrees Celcius and comes down to 1 degree Celcius in winters. It is quite warm and pleasant in summer. The monsoon season is from July to September. Pelling can be visited at all times of the year, however, it is best to avoid a trip in the monsoon season.

Best view of Kanchanzangha

Location of the Sikkim Tourist Centre and room of the Sikkim Tourist Centre where we stayed is excellant and has clear view of top portion of the kanchanzangha which will sooth your eyesight. Hotel location was very calm and we were having different kind of foods which were served on time with clean arrangment.Only the price of the food was quite higher than normal. Priced of the food much higher than normal...This is the only thing I want to say as some point of negativity.Otherwise, this would be a very nice room to stay and guest can enjoy completely. For a couple , I would suggest this can be well furnished and well equiped.

We stayed at the Sikkim tourist Center for 3 nights and had a very pleasant stay. The Sikkim Tourist Centre is located in upper Pelling and the location is very good. There is a taxi stand just 50 meters across the Sikkim Tourist Centre. We stayed in a room on the 2nd floor. The rooms are quite big and spacious and well maintained and had a good view of the Kanchenjunga mountains. The washrooms are neat and clean. The food served was good. The staff was cordial and polite. The only problem we faced was with hot water as the water heater use to take a lot of time. Will recommend this Sikkim Tourist Centre for Pelling stay.

A home in the clouds for 4 days

Hotel staff cooperative. Network is a very big problem in the Sikkim Tourist Centre. No Jio network or connection in the Sikkim Tourist Centre. Vodafone and Airtel connection was there but network connections were poor. No WiFi connection in the Sikkim Tourist Centre. Food was overpriced but was OK. The Sikkim Tourist Centre gives 2 bottles of 500 ml of water per day. Impractical. When the Sikkim Tourist Centre was loaded with guests service of staff is slow as limited no of staff. Location of the Sikkim Tourist Centre was a prime one. Thus overpriced. So many plug points in the rooms but mostly defective.

We stayed 2 days with the Sikkim Tourist Centre and i must say that the hospitality they provide, is beyond excellent. In every way possible they tried their best to make our stay wholesome. View is excellent, room size is better than average, useful and essential amenities provided. After night the wifi was down for both the days but on my request, they gave us a modem to use for internet. Food is nothing to be amazed about but its good enough for the price. And the staffs are way too polite and geltle and cooperative. Overall we had an excellent stay. Thank you for your outstanding hospitality.

Excellent service,clean rooms,clear view of Mt. Kanchanzangha, overall a great experience. Thanks to Mr.Avinash Chowdhury and Mr.Sudip for their continuous support during our stay. One of the best Sikkim Tourist Centre with great service. View was excellent. The super deluxe room have the best view of Mt Kanchanzangha. I like to specially mention two names. One is Mr. Sudip who helped us a lot and Mr. Avinash Chowdhury who have guided us excellently. I would recommend this Sikkim Tourist Centre for all. Food quality was also very good.

Staff and room service were very good. People at Sikkim are very polite. The location of the Sikkim Tourist Centre is good. There are no options for shopping at Pelling. It gets dark by 5.30 pm in the month of October and becomes very cold. So one needs to spend time inside the room. So room needs to be good. There is enough lighting in the room unlike others which provide only dim lights. Food was also great. Room heater comes at extra cost. Overall, I recommend this place for a decent, comfortable stay.

The location of the Sikkim Tourist Centre was very convenient. The Sikkim Tourist Centre was very quiet and suited us. We had a good view of the himalayas from the comfort of the room. The breakfast was very tasty and filling. The taste of the food we had for dinner may be improved. Liked the room immensely mainly for the view it offered of the Panchanjongha. Additionally the room was very cosy with all amenities. We like to occupy the same room if we go to Pelling again.

All very good but kanchenjunga view from the hotel is not great

We liked everything about this Sikkim Tourist Centre. Nothing to complain. They also provided us the room with best view in the Sikkim Tourist Centre. Still the view of the kanchenjunga was not unhindered. There's another Sikkim Tourist Centre in front and they have erected buddhist flags which interrupts the view. I understand there's nothing our Sikkim Tourist Centre can do about it, but as a traveller, this may be a factor for Sikkim Tourist Centre selection.
