About A Symphony Of Dance

Derek Hough - Fall Tour 2023

Four-time EMMY® winner Derek Hough announced today the 2024 dates for his Derek Hough Symphony of Dance Tour.  The 26-city cross country tour resumes April 16 in Tampa (FL) and concludes on May 19 in San Diego with stops in cities such as Orlando, Richmond, San Antonio, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles.

From the mind of Derek Hough, Symphony of Dance is the first-national tour for the performing dynamo in four years following the sold-out successes of Derek Hough Live: The Tour, and Move Live on Tour and Move – Beyond – Live on Tour.  The show features high-energy choreography, stunning stage production, astounding versatility and Derek’s magnetic stage presence.  Fans will journey through a fusion of dance and music, as Derek explores styles ranging from ballroom and tap to salsa and hip-hop and everything in between.  Creative team and two-time EMMY® winners, Napoleon and Tabitha Dumo, also known as NappyTabs (Jennifer Lopez’s ‘All I Have’, Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour, GRAMMYs® creative direction), co-create, direct and supervise choreography for the tour.

All tickets previously purchased for the original dates will remain valid for the rescheduled shows. Presales for new dates and on sales for rescheduled dates start 12pm local time on February 14, with general on sale for the new dates in most markets following on Friday, February 16, at 10am local at www.derekhough.com . VIP packages are also available giving fans the chance to purchase premium tickets, including pre-show parties and meet and greet opportunities.

Derek Hough Symphony of Dance is produced by Greg Young of Mojave Ghost, a Tony & Drama Desk Award nominated producer. He’s produced award-winning Broadway shows (Bob Fosse’s Dancin’, The Illusionists, Little Women), Las Vegas Residencies (Derek Hough No-Limit!, Donny Osmond).

Derek Hough

  • 12X Primetime Emmy Nominee for Outstanding Choreography
  • 3X Emmy Winner - Outstanding Choreography
  • 6X Dancing with the Stars Champion
  • NY Times Bestselling Author

Emmy Award winning and New York Times Best-Selling author Derek Hough started dancing in his hometown of Salt Lake City, UT, at age 11. Just one year later, he moved to London to live and train with the top dance coaches in the world and attend the prestigious Italia Conti performing arts school where he studied theatre, music, and dance.

As a three-time Emmy Award winner and twelve-time nominee, Hough is the most nominated male choreographer in Television Academy history.  Hough has also appeared in film, television, and stage projects as an actor.  He made his feature film debut for director Duane Adler and producer Robert Cort in the feature film Make Your Move and had a recurring role on the ABC series Nashville and in High School Musical The Musical for Disney+ .  His stage performances include Radio City Music Hall’s Spring Spectacular co-starring alongside the Tony Award winning Laura Benanti and the critically acclaimed production of Footloose in which he starred as the male lead in London’s West End.  In December of 2016, Hough starred with Jennifer Hudson, Ariana Grande, Martin Short and Harvey Fierstein in NBC’s Hairspray Live!

In 2020, Hough joined the hit ABC series Dancing with the Stars as part of the judging panel alongside Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Toniolo.  A multi-talented entertainer and the only six-time champion in franchise history, Hough had previously performed on the show as a pro-dancer.  His mirror ball wins came with celebrity partners that included Brooke Burke, Jennie Garth, Ricki Lake, Nicole Scherzinger, Jennifer Grey, Kellie Pickler, Amber Riley, Amy Purdy and Bindi Irwin.

In May of 2017, Hough joined Jennifer Lopez and Ne-Yo at the judges table for the NBC series World of Dance .  The show, which he was part of for 4 seasons, launched as the highest rated summer show in over ten years and was unparalleled dance competition that featured solo artists competing against duos and crews in all genres of dance, including hip hop, tap, ballet, break dancing, ballroom, and more competing for a million-dollar prize.

Hough can also add best-selling author to his list of credits.  His memoir Taking the Lead; Lessons from a Life in Motion  hit stands in August of 2014 and rapidly was named to the prestigious New York Times Best-Seller list during two non-consecutive time periods, a rare feat.

Hough completed his first solo national tour, Derek Hough Live: The Tour in 2019 during which he performed in nearly 60 cities around the country. Prior to that, Hough and his sister Julianne teamed for a live stage dance concert MOVE Live on Tour performing in 50 cities around the country, in 2015 they toured again selling out scores of venues on their 47-city outing.  In 2017 they again performed a sold-out tour of 48 cities around the United States with their show Move – Beyond – Live on Tour .

In 2021 and 2022, Hough headlined his residency Derek Hough: No Limit in the entertainment capital of the world, Las Vegas, Nevada.  The critically acclaimed dance-centric show at the Venetian Resort takes fans on a journey through a true fusion of dance and music, as Hough explores styles ranging from ballroom and tap to salsa, hip-hop and everything in between.

Hersheypark Stadium does not permit bags larger than 5”x8”x1” in dimension for guest safety. Hand clutches, wristlets, and other small purses are permitted so long as they do not exceed the size limit. Backpacks, large purses, clear bags, fanny packs, camera bags, drawstring bags, totes and suitcases will NOT be permitted inside the venue.

Exceptions will be made for guests that require a medical equipment bag and/or a parenting bag. These bags must be smaller than 14”x14”x6” and must go through a metal detection screening upon entry.

All bags, persons and hand-carried items are subject to search. Guests will be required to enter through walk-through security scanners upon arriving at the venue.

SHOW YOUR TICKET STUB AND PARK FOR FREE

The cost of parking is included in the price of your concert ticket for shows at Hersheypark Stadium! Just be sure to follow the “Concert Parking” signage on Hersheypark Drive when heading to park. Parking attendants will direct you to the best available spaces. Lots will open at 1 p.m. on the day of the show. If you plan to tailgate, please take time to review our tailgating policies beforehand.

PLAN ACCORDINGLY & ARRIVE EARLY

Due to the potential of Hersheypark and concert attendee traffic, plan to arrive early to the show. We recommend allowing extra time to park, walk to the venue and get through the security line. Doors open approximately 90 minutes prior to showtime.

In the event of inclement weather, please stay tuned to our Hersheypark Stadium social media channels for updates. Please note that ponchos are permitted, but umbrellas will not be allowed inside the venue.

STOP BY THE COURTYARD FOR FOOD, MERCH AND MORE

If you're heading to the venue a bit early or find time to explore, don't forget to stop by our courtyard! Located at the front entrance of Hersheypark Stadium next to the box office, guests can indulge in delicious eats from various food trucks and purchase artist merchandise. For those 21+, there will also be select alcohol offerings throughout the evening. The courtyard will open 30 minutes prior to general doors for each show, and is slated to stay open throughout most of the evening.

DOWNLOAD YOUR MOBILE TICKET TO YOUR DEVICE

As cellular service can become weak or slow on show days, we recommend downloading your digital ticket to your Apple Wallet or mobile device prior to arriving at the Stadium. Photo screenshots of a ticket will not be accepted for entry.

DON'T FORGET TO HYDRATE

Summer days in Hershey can get pretty warm, so it’s important to stay hydrated before and during the show. Each guest is permitted to bring one sealed bottle of water into the venue. No reusable or open bottles will be allowed inside. Any additional exceptions will be made for guests with medical restrictions/conditions and baby bottles.

EXPLORE HERSHEYPARK DURING THE DAY

Hersheypark Stadium is conveniently located next to Hersheypark , which is home to an iconic collection of 15 coasters, more than 20 kiddie rides, and a full water park. If you are attending a concert at the Stadium, you are eligible to receive discounted admission tickets to Hersheypark the day of, the day before, or the day after an event. Present your event ticket to Ticketing Services, located in Tram Circle, to receive the discounted event price of $61.95.

EXTEND YOUR STAY AT THE SWEETEST PLACE ON EARTH

With plenty of attractions and things to do, we invite you to spend more time at The Sweetest Place On Earth by booking a trip to Hershey Lodge , The Hotel Hershey or Hersheypark Camping Resort ! Attendees staying at one of our properties can enjoy free front gate shuttle service for select shows this summer. Guests will be transported to the exclusive drop-off location at Hersheypark , adjacent to the Stadium. Shuttles will run until one hour after concerts at Hersheypark Stadium have concluded.

GRAB A BITE BEFORE THE SHOW

Complete with brand new menu items , The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio is the perfect place to stop in for a drink or dinner before the show. Conveniently located near the Stadium, outside of the Hersheypark front gate and inside of Hersheypark Supply Co. at Hershey’s Chocolatetown , this dining experience is one you won’t want to miss out on. The Chocolatier menu features a wide variety of salads, burgers, and flatbreads, along with specialty appetizers and dessert options. Reservations are strongly encouraged on weekends and show nights.

For those 21+, we recommend trying out the Mini Martini Flight , which includes new concoctions like Blue Raspberry Stars, Orange Dreamsicle and Red Stripe.

Quick and tasty on-the-go options can be found at Milton’s Ice Cream Parlor , which is also located at Hershey’s Chocolatetown . In addition to an array of hand-made ice cream, Milton’s serves up sandwiches, soups, salads and guest-favorites like chicken buckets and fries with various dipping sauces.

It may technically be spring, but tonight marks the unofficial start of summer in central Pennsylvania. That’s because when Morgan Wallen takes the stage in Hershey tonight, the country star will kick off the 2024 Hersheypark Stadium Summer Concert Series. This year marks Hersheypark Stadium’s 85th anniversary, and the summer lineup boasts big names in rock, pop and more. Here’s who is playing at Hersheypark Stadium this summer. For more information or for tickets to the shows listed below, visit hersheyentertainment.com .

May 9: Morgan Wallen

The country star will bring his aptly named “One Night at a Time World Tour” to Hersheypark Stadium tonight. He’ll be joined by Nate Smith and Lauren Watkins. (Good luck if you have not purchased tickets yet, though; verified resale tickets start at $200 each.)

June 15: Stevie Nicks

Just two weeks ago, Slate.com published a feature titled “How Fleetwood Mac Got Cool Again.” Thanks to the virality of TikTok, the legendary band’s music has found a new generation of listeners, so expect to see all ages at Stevie Nicks’ Hersheypark Stadium concert.

June 28: Hootie & the Blowfish

“Only Wanna Be with You,” “Let Her Cry,” “Hold My Hand.” Expect to sing along to all of these at more when Hootie & the Blowfish’s “Summer Camp with Trucks Tour” visits Hershey. Lean into the ’90s vibes even further with openers Collective Soul and Edwin McCain.

July 4: Justin Timberlake

Make it a Fourth of July to remember by seeing Justin Timberlake’s “Forget Tomorrow World Tour” in Hershey. We can already tell the visuals are going to be top-notch thanks to the team at TAIT, who posted a few photos on X from the tour’s opener in Vancouver, British Columbia. “Our team has been hard at work engineering, fabricating, and programming this impressive video wall feature for the start of Justin Timberlake’s tour,” the Warwick Township company’s post reads. “You definitely have to see this live.”

July 6: Janet Jackson

Janet Jackson — or, Miss Jackson if you’re nasty — will visit Hersheypark Stadium as part of 35 concert dates added to her “Together Again” run. She’ll be joined by Nelly, who is bound to get the party started with his pantheon of hits like “Hot in Here,” “Ride Wit Me” and “Country Grammar.”

July 7: Willie Nelson’s Outlaw Music Festival

Several music legends join forces on this heavy-hitter lineup, headlined by Willie Nelson & Family. Nelson will be joined by Bob Dylan and Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, with additional support from Celisse, who was part of Joni Mitchell’s historic “Joni Jams” performance at Newport Folk Festival in 2022.

Outlaw Fest welcomed collaboration between Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow and more on Sunday

July 23: foo fighters.

Hersheypark’s jam-packed July continues with Foo Fighters’ “Everything or Nothing at All Tour.” The band released its 11th album, “But Here We Are,” in 2023. Foo Fighters will be joined by special guests The Hives and Amyl and the Sniffers.

July 25: Journey and Def Leppard

This concert is a can’t-miss night for classic rock fans. As if Journey and Def Leppard’s rock anthems weren’t enough, the bands are mixing it up city-by-city with its special guest. In Hershey, they’ll be joined by Steve Miller Band.

Aug. 2: Five Finger Death Punch

The multi-platinum hard rock band — which worked with Lititz-based ad agency Mediatwist to support a veterans’ program in Canada — will be joined by special guests Marilyn Manson and Slaughter to Prevail during this Friday night show.

Aug. 3: New Kids on the Block

If you wish a magic wand could take you back to the ’80s, this one’s for you. New Kids on the Block will bring its “Magic Summer” tour, joined by Paula Abdul and DJ Jazzy Jeff, to Hersheypark Stadium this summer. Expect to hear earworms like “You Got It (The Right Stuff),” “Cover Girl” and “Hangin’ Tough.”

Aug. 10: Green Day

Remember the days before streaming, when you’d wear out a CD by playing it on repeat? If you did that and still remember all the words to songs on “Dookie” and “American Idiot,” you best get yourself to Hersheypark this August when the band plays both landmark albums in their entirety. Green Day will be joined on its “Saviors Tour” by the Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid and the Linda Lindas. Here’s hoping Billie Joe Armstrong, Tré Cool and Mike Dirnt visit downtown Lancaster while they’re in the area, like they did in February 2020.

Aug. 23: Creed

Creed’s story as a band is one of redemption — from enjoying massive hits, to frontman Scott Stapp’s public battles with mental health and addiction, to finding wider appreciation again thanks, in part, to viral TikTok clips of the band’s epic 2001 Super Bowl performance. Hear “Higher,” “My Sacrifice” and “With Arms Wide Open” when the band performs in Hershey this summer, joined by special guests 3 Doors Down and Finger Eleven.

Scott Stapp of Creed talks recovery, 'Couples Therapy' and more

Aug. 24: pitbull.

Mr. Worldwide himself will bring his “Party After Dark” tour to Hershey this summer, joined by special guest T-Pain. DJs from Pitbull’s Sirius XM channel Globalization with open the show.

Oct. 1: Pink

Pennsylvania native Pink (sometimes stylized as P!nk) will keep the summer vibes going at Hersheypark through Oct. 1, when her “Summer Carnival” tour visits Hershey. Pink will be joined by special guest and friend Sheryl Crow, with additional support from The Script and KidCutUp.
