Vanishing Journey is an area in the Arcane River area.

In the Arcane River area you will deal a certain percentage of your damage to mobs, and even less damage when one is not equipped.

The higher level of the Arcane Symbol, the more damage you will do.

There are 23 Quests to be completed.

There are 11 that involve actual killing and the rest are just going to NPC's to speak.

• New grind area.

• More dailies.

• Fun Story.

Requirements:

• Be Level 200.

• Complete 5th Job Advancement.

Every monster you encounter in this section will be Auto Aggressive. There are very few, if any safe spots.

So if you arent that funded make sure to be prepared with plenty of potions.

A Greater Power

You are required to butcher 10 Happy Erdas.

You'll be barely tickling them not because they have a lot of HP but because you require Arcane Force of which you will get later on.

Gathering Scattered Memories (1)

Once you've returned to the quest giver he will ask you to collect 30 Happy Memories from Happy Erdas.

This time you need to obtain 50 Raging Memories from Raging Erdas.

Next, after you've crossed the lake you will need to cross the bridge. But before you can do that you will need to collect 40 Solid Claws from Stone Erdas.

Now you have crossed the bridge, you will be required to collect 50 Tranquil Solvents from Tranquil Erdas.

Defeat Arma

Last killing quest. You will need to go to the very last map and Massacre Arma who is a boss.

Now all you need to do is finish the last quest with Kao and jump down the waterfall once you are level 210 for ChuChu Island.

I've purposely left out the quests that just involve talking to an NPC.

Vanishing Journey Dailies

How to get Arcane Symbols

Once you have completed the questline there will be a NPC on the left called Rona.

There are 6 Daily quests that will be reset at midnight.

The quests are either Killing 200 Mobs or Collecting items.

There is a quest that will be a [Deliver] type. You will need to collect 30 items and deliver them to a NPC called "Researcher Jenna in a certain area.

If your quest is based in the Lake of Oblivion, Jenna will be located in this map:

If your quest to deliver is in the Extinction Zone, Jenna will be located in this map:

If your deliver quest is in the Lying in Repose area, Jenna will be located in this map:

Once you've done 5 Quests the 6th quest will be completed too.

At the end of the dailies you should recieve 8 Arcane Symbols a day.

Mobs will start dropping Arcane Symbols. They arent a very common drop so you will have to grind for them.

Arcane River is the area which the Erdas are located. To enter, you must have completed the 5th Job Advancement to absorb the Erda's power.

Maps [ edit ]

There are 10 main areas in Arcane River: Vanishing Journey (Road to Extinction), Reverse City, Chu Chu Island (Chew Chew Island), Yum Yum Island, Lachelein (Lacheln), Arcana, Morass (Moras), Esfera, Sellas, and Tenebris.

Vanishing Journey (Road to Extinction) [ edit ]

Requirements: Level 200 and above, completed 5th job advancement.

There are 4 main areas in Vanishing Journey (Road to Extinction).

  • Nameless Town (Nameless Village) : Town of Vanishing Journey.
  • Lake of Oblivion : Monster ranges from Level 200 to 203 . Requires 30 Arcane Force.
  • Extinction Zone : Monster ranges from Level 204 to 206 . Requires 40 Arcane Force.
  • Cave of Repose (Cave of Rest) : Monster ranges from Level 207 to 209 . Requires 60 Arcane Force.

Monsters have 3x the HP and gives 1.8x the EXP.

There are also 3 "hidden" maps , 1 for each area listed above (except for Nameless Village). Monsters in these maps have 5.2x HP and gives 3x EXP . Requires 80 Arcane Force. To access the hidden maps, the storyline must be completed.

Daily Quests [ edit ]

In Vanishing Journey, you can accept a daily quest from Rona in Nameless Town. It requires killing a set number of monsters in Vanishing Journey.

You can obtain 10 Arcane Symbol: Vanishing Journey Exchange Coupons as a completion bonus. You can also receive 5,889 Level 209 non-hidden arcane river monsters worth of EXP (5,889 times 124,322 = 732,132,258 EXP) once per world, not per character .

The number of monsters required will vary based on your Arcane River progress.

If you completed Reverse City story quests, the number of Arcane Symbol: Vanishing Journey Exchange Coupons is doubled , and monsters killed within Reverse City also counts for the quest.

A weekly quest will also be available, upon accepting, complete Vanishing Journey daily quests for 2 days (need not be consecutive but must be within Monday 12am to Sunday 11.59pm on the same week) to obtain 3 Core Gemstones (untradeable, expires in 7 days if unused) . This can be done once per week per character.

Erda Spectrum [ edit ]

After clearing the story quests, you can attempt Erda Spectrum party quest to obtain EXP and Arcane Symbol: Vanishing Journey Exchange Coupons.

  • Participants: 1~3 players in a party
  • Arcane force needed: 60 (90 Arcane Force to hit 1.5x damage inside)
  • Average time needed: 4~6 minutes
  • Maximum clears: 3 times weekly per character (failure will not count into the limit)

Time limit 10 minutes

  • Kill monsters to charge Erda (1 kill = 1 Erda charge). Sometimes, blue zones will spawn, stand inside the area when it disappears in 2 seconds to gain 10 Erda charges .
  • When you are done charging (recommended to be 75 or higher), use NPC Chat at the Erda Condenser to despawn monsters. Erda charge will be consumed at a rate of 1 point per second .
  • Normal attack the condenser to spawn erda fragments (blue, red, purple) . The colour will depend on the condenser's colour, which will go on a cycle of: 5 seconds blue/red, 2 seconds purple.
  • Use NPC Chat at the fragment to push the respective coloured fragments to the matching coloured walls (purple fragments can be pushed to either side and counts as 2 fragments ). Sometimes, there will be red marked zones, keep the erda fragments away to preserve them , otherwise they will be destroyed when the explosion happens at the red zones.
  • Push 10 erda fragments to the walls correctly to clear.
  • If the task is not completed when the charge is drained, existing erda fragments and walls will disappear, monsters and blue zones will start to spawn again.
  • Progress made is not reset.

Time limit 2.5 minutes

  • 2 Armas will start to appear from their caves, hurry up before they touch the Erda Condenser, otherwise you will fail instantly.
  • Killing monsters will give Erda charge (1 charge per kill), and blue zones may appear from time to time, stand within those zones when it disappears after 2 seconds to gain 10 Erda charge .
  • Use and hold down NPC Chat at the Erda Condenser to activate the laser . The laser's direction will be the same as the one that the character is facing. Use the laser to push back Arma all the way until it goes back to its cave (prpgress count will increase when that happens). It can take up to 15 seconds to do so. (Recommended 15 Erda charge per Arma)
  • Push both Armas back and repeat the cycle (steps 1~3)
  • Push back 5 Armas to complete .
  • 15 Arcane Symbol: Vanishing Journey exchange coupons (given for both manual clears and auto clears, untradeable, no expiry)
  • 187,727,730 EXP (only given if done manually and not auto clear, this is equivalent to 1,510 Level 209 non-hidden arcane river monsters, given 3 times per week per world, not per character )

Based on your Arcane River progress, you can choose to skip rounds to receive Arcane Symbol exchange coupons instantly and use up 1 clear count (EXP is not given) . You can still choose to perform it normally if you wish.

Reverse City [ edit ]

Requirement: Level 205 and above, completed 5th job advancement.

A mysterious city found near Road to Extinction. What is that noise?

There are 6 main areas in Reverse City.

  • Underground Railway Shelter : Town
  • Underground Railway : Where rats are found. Monsters are Level 205 , and requires 40 Arcane Force.
  • T-boy's Train : Where drones are found. Monsters are Level 206 , and requires 40 Arcane Force. (Hidden Map: Monster Level 210, requires 100 Arcane Force)
  • Underground Train : Where combat drones are found. Monsters are Level 207 and 208 , requires 60 Arcane Force (Hidden Map: Monster Level 211 and 212, requires 100 Arcane Force)
  • Ground Train : Where more combat drones are found. Monsters are Level 207 and 208 , requires 60 Arcane Force.
  • M Tower : Where Annihilation Drones are found. Due to the reverse gravity, the lower you go, the higher you are in the tower. Monsters are Level 209 , requires 60 Arcane Force (Hidden Map: Monster Level 213, requires 100 Arcane Force)

To access the hidden maps, the storyline must be completed. Also rewards 20 Selective Arcane Symbols , untradeable and expires in 7 days if unused.

Monsters have 3x the HP and gives 1.8x the EXP. For hidden maps, the monsters have 6x the HP and gives 3.5x the EXP.

Chu Chu Island (Chew Chew Island) [ edit ]

Requirement: Level 210 and above, obtained Arcane Symbol : Road to Extinction.

Jump off the fountain at the Spray Waterfall in Road to Extinction to begin exploring the area.

There are 5 main areas in Chu Chu Island (Chew Chew Island).

  • Chu Chu Village (Chew Chew Village) : Town of Chu Chu Island.
  • Five-Color Hill (Colourful Forest) : Monster ranges from Level 210 to 211 . Requires 100 Arcane Force.
  • Slurpy Forest : Monster ranges from Level 212 to 213 . Requires 100 Arcane Force.
  • Eree Valley (Torrent Area) : Monster ranges from Level 214 to 216 . Requires 130 Arcane Force.
  • Skywhale Mountain : Monster ranges from Level 217 to 219 . Requires 160 Arcane Force.

Monsters have 6x the HP and gives 3.5x the EXP.

Hungry Muto [ edit ]

Hungry Muto is a Party Quest. Collect ingredients and give it to the birds so that the birds can cook meals for Muto and Muto will be motivated to fend off the shark!

  • Participants: 1~4 players in a party
  • Arcane force needed: 100 (150 Arcane force to hit 1.5x damage)
  • Average time needed: 1.5~3 minutes

  • The team has to collect the ingredients. Some ingredients may not be shown explicitly (so you have to either remember the recipe or guess). Pet looting will not work , the loots disappear in 10 seconds if not looted and if you looted another ingredient, your previous stack will disappear .
  • After collecting the ingredient, report back to Simia in the middle and jump to put the ingredient into the pot.
  • 2 ingredients: 11% (if solo), 10% (if party of 2), 9% (if party of 3), 8% (if party of 4)
  • 3 ingredients: 17% (if solo), 16% (if party of 2), 15% (if party of 3), 14% (if party of 4)
  • 4 ingredients: 23% (if solo), 22% (if party of 2), 21% (if party of 3), 20% (if party of 4)
  • 2 ingredients: 12%
  • 3 ingredients: 18%
  • 4 ingredients: 24%
  • Once the progress bar reaches 100%, the team will have cleared the quest and receive rewards based on clearance time.

Daily Quest [ edit ]

In Chu Chu Island, you can accept a daily quest from Master Lyck. It requires killing a set number of monsters in Chu Chu Island.

After clearing the quest, you will receive more 10 Arcane Symbols: Chu Chu Island Exchange Coupons as a completion bonus. You can also receive 7,059 Level 219 arcane river monsters worth of EXP (7,059 times 303,394 = 2,141,658,246 EXP) once per world, not per character .

The number of kills needed will vary based on your Arcane River progress.

If you completed Yum Yum Island story quests, the number of Arcane Symbol: Chu Chu Island Exchange Coupons is doubled , and kills in Yum Yum Island also counts for the quest.

Yum Yum Island [ edit ]

Requirement: Level 215 and above, obtained Arcane Symbol : Chew Chew Island

There are 4 main areas.

  • Yum Yum Village : Town
  • Mushbird Forest : Where monkeylogs and bushrooms are found. They are Level 215 and 216 , requires 130 Arcane Force (Hidden Map: Monster Level 220, requires 190 Arcane Force)
  • Illiyard Moor : Where Lytone and Stonpy are found. They are Level 217 and 218 , requires 160 Arcane Force (Hidden Map: Monster Level 220, requires 190 Arcane Force)
  • Fungus Forest : Where Krumpiders and Squirrenons are found. They are Level 219 , requires 160 Arcane Force (Hidden Map: Monster Level 220, requires 190 Arcane Force)

Monsters have 6x the HP and gives 3.5x the EXP. For hidden maps, the monsters have 7.3x the HP and gives 3.5x the EXP.

Lachelein (Lacheln) [ edit ]

Requirement: Level 220 and above, obtained Arcane Symbol : Chew Chew Island

There are 5 main areas in Lachelein (Lacheln).

  • Lachelein Main Street (Lacheln Downtown) : Town of Lachelein.
  • Back Alley : Monster ranges from Level 220 to 221 . Requires 190 Arcane Force.
  • Lachelein Night Market : Monster ranges from Level 221 to 223 . Requires 210 Arcane Force.
  • Lachelein Ballroom : Monster ranges from Level 223 to 225 . Requires 210 Arcane Force.
  • Nightmare Clocktower : Monster ranges from Level 226 to 229 . Requires 240 Arcane Force.

Monsters have 7.3x the HP and gives 3.5x the EXP.

At a very low chance, monsters can drop the Arcane River Water Drop Stones, which are tradable. Use 9 of them to combine with 1 Butterfly Wings Water Drop Stones to exchange for 1 Fantasma Coin by finding NPC Kanto in Lacheln or Moras.

Lucid resides in the Clocktower of Lachelein. To enter, you must be Level 220 or higher and must have completed all Lachelein quests (except "Showdown" quest). Requires 360 Arcane Force.

  • Entrance to Arcana : Monsters range from Level 230 to 232 . Requires 280 Arcane Force.
  • Grove of the Spirit Tree : Town of Arcana.
  • Deep Forest : Monsters range from Level 233 to 236 . Requires 320 Arcane Force.
  • Cavern : Monsters range from Level 237 to 240 . Requires 360 Arcane Force.

Monsters have 8x the HP and gives 3.65x the EXP.

Spirit Saviour [ edit ]

This is the weekly quest to obtain Arcane Symbol : Arcana exchange coupons. You will have to kill obstacles that traps spirits (exactly 400 Million HP) and use the NPC Chat key to carry the spirit while dodging the growing Toxic spirit . Bouncers are placed all around the map so that you can play hide and seek with the evil spirit to rescue the trapped spirits.

  • 10 minutes time limit, 3 clears limit per character (failure will not use up the count).
  • Toxic spirit will take 1 second to transform and it transforms upon killing an obstacle trapping the spirit, up till 5 freed spirits (regardless if you carried them or not) .

Based on the number of rock spirits rescued at the same time, points are awarded.

  • 1 spirit: 400 points
  • 2 spirits: 800 points
  • 3 spirits: 1,200 points
  • 4 spirits: 1,800 points
  • 5 spirits: 2,500 points

Obtain 10,000 points to complete this mission.

  • 15 Arcane Symbol: Arcana exchange coupons (given for both manual clears and auto clears, untradeable, no expiry)
  • 847,484,010 EXP (only given if done manually and not auto clear, this is equivalent to 1,800 unrounded Level 240 non-hidden arcane river monsters, given 3 times per week per world, not per character )

In Arcana, you can accept a daily quest from Tree Spirits. It requires killing a set number of monsters in Arcana.

You will receive 20 Arcane Symbols: Arcana Exchange Coupons as a completion bonus. You can also receive 7,020 Level 240 unrounded arcane river monsters worth of EXP (7,020 times 128,993 times 3.65 = 3,305,187,639 EXP) once per world, not per character .

Morass (Moras) [ edit ]

Requirement: Level 230 and above, obtained Arcane Symbol : Arcana

There are 4 main areas in Morass, sub-divided into 8 smaller areas.

  • Coral Forest : Monsters are Level 236 . Requires 400 Arcane Force.
  • Street Cat Area : Where all the stray cats are, and they are Level 237 . Requires 440 Arcane Force.
  • Bully Blvd. : Where the big bullies are, and they are Level 238 . Requires 440 Arcane Force.
  • ShadowDance Hall : Where all the shadows are hiding. Monsters range from Level 239 to Level 240 . Requires 480 Arcane Force.
  • Abandoned Area : Where experiments have been conducted and closed off after a dangerous one has been conducted. Monsters are Level 241 . Also contains the path to Esfera . Requires 480 Arcane Force.
  • That Day in Truffet : Monster ranges from Level 242 to Level 245 . Requires 520 Arcane Force.
  • Monsters Level 236 to 240 have 8x the HP and gives 3.65x the EXP.
  • Monsters Level 241 to 245 have 10x the HP and gives 3.7x the EXP.

You can accept a daily quest everyday, which involves killing monsters in Morass.

You can get 20 Arcane Symbol: Morass Exchange Coupons . You can also receive 8,482.5 Level 245 unrounded arcane river monsters worth of EXP (8,482.5 times 140,138 times 3.7 = 4,398,266,164 EXP) once per world, not per character .

Enheim Defense [ edit ]

Enheim Defense is a solo minigame type quest.

  • Participants: 1 player
  • Arcane force needed: 520 (780 Arcane Force to hit 1.5x damage)
  • Average time needed: 1.5~3 minutes (time limit: 10 minutes)

Kill 10 monsters to obtain energy to charge a Light Magic Launcher. When there are no pieces of flesh, every 5 seconds, 1 piece of flash will appear in front of 1 of the 6 Light Magic Launchers. The location is indicated in the minimap and it is also indicated by the sides of the screen (if can be blocked by UI, so you might not see it). Use the Light Magic Launcher directly in front of it by standing on it and pressing the "NPC Chat/Harvest" button to kill it (you cannot use attack skills to kill it, and Light Magic Launchers only attack in a straight line).

After 9 pieces of flesh are killed, the boss (Hekaton's Shard) appears, and it needs to be killed 3 times to clear (it can change place after each time it is killed). When the boss is fully killed, the defense is a success.

Pieces of flesh and Hekaton's Shard will deal damage to the Enheim Rod. You will not take damage from them. Basically, you have to defeat Hekaton's Shard before the HP of the Enheim Rod depletes (pretty much impossible).

In the map, there are hidden portals to help in navigation.

  • The middle areas will teleport you to the sides at the same vertical height, based on the further of the 2 sides (if it is closer to the left, it will bring you to the right).
  • At the sides, if you are not at the top platform, using it brings you to the next level at the same side.
  • If you are at the top, it brings you to the further side of the middle are.
  • 15 Arcane Symbol: Moras exchange coupons (given for both manual clears and auto clears, untradeable, no expiry)
  • 1,127,760,555 EXP (only given if done manually and not auto clear, this is equivalent to 2,175 unrounded Level 245 non-hidden arcane river monsters, given 3 times per week per world, not per character )

Based on your Arcane River progress, you can choose to skip rounds to receive Arcane Symbol exchange coupons instantly and use up 1 clear count. You can still choose to perform it normally if you wish.

Esfera [ edit ]

Requirement: Level 235 and above, completed [Moras] Her Plan quest.

The Origin Sea Esfera houses Will the Spider King as a boss. There are four main areas in Esfera.

  • Base Camp : Town of Esfera.
  • Living Spring (Where Life Begins) : Monster ranges from Level 240 to 243 . Requires 560 Arcane Force.
  • Mirror-touched Sea (Mirror-tinged Sea) : Monster ranges from Level 244 to 247 . Requires 600 Arcane Force.
  • Radiant Temple (Mirrored Light Shrine) : Monster ranges from Level 248 to 249 . Requires 640 Arcane Force.
  • Monsters level 240 have 8x the HP and gives 3.65x the EXP.
  • Monsters level 241 to 249 have 10x the HP and gives 3.7x the EXP.

At a very low chance, monsters can drop the Sea of Beginnings Water Drop Stones, which are tradable. Use 9 of them to combine with 1 Spider Cobweb Water Drop Stones to exchange for 1 Arachno Coin by finding NPC Kanto in Esfera.

Will resides in the deepest part of Mirror World, accessible from the Radiant Throne at the Radiant Temple. To enter, you must be Level 235 or higher and must have completed all Esfera quests . Requires 760 Arcane Force.

Quest will be given daily from Ollie, which involves killing monsters in Esfera. Complete all quests to obtain 20 Arcane Symbol: Esfera Exchange Coupons . You can also receive 8,190 Level 249 unrounded arcane river monsters worth of EXP (8,190 times 149,518 times 3.7 = 4,530,843,954 EXP) once per world, not per character .

Protect Esfera [ edit ]

Protect Esfera is a solo minigame type quest.

  • Arcane force needed: 640 (960 Arcane Force to hit 1.5x damage)
  • Average time needed: 2.5~5 minutes (time limit: 40 minutes)

When using the diagram, the cannon's power is assumed to be at or near the maximum.

Kill 15 monsters to obtain erdas to charge Shumet's Cannon. You can hold up to 10 charges . There are 10 dimensional gates (the locations are indicated in the minimap). Use Shumet's Cannon by standing on it and pressing the "Sit" button.

When mounted, you can use Erda Shell (cannonball) or Super Erda Shell (laser). Erda Shell costs 1 charge while Super Erda Shell costs 3 charges. The controls available while mounted are:

  • Change Angle: Up/Down arrow keys
  • Shoot: Spacebar
  • Camera View: Shift + Arrow keys (Shift must be held down throughout, letting go would reset the camera back to normal). Use the camera view to help you visualise the actual locations of the dimensional gates.

You cannot obtain Erdas while mounted on the cannon, even if summons killed monsters . When using Erda Shell, the cannon's power oscillates between minimum and maximum, and the power when the space bar is pressed is used to fire the cannon. When using Super Erda Shell, there is no power involved as it will fire in a straight line like a laser.

Every 3 minutes, when killing monsters, Shumet's Covering Fire may drop. Picking it up would instantly kill 2 leftover dimension gates randomly.

  • 15 Arcane Symbol: Esfera exchange coupons (given for both manual clears and auto clears, untradeable, no expiry)
  • 1,161,754,860 EXP (only given if done manually and not auto clear, this is equivalent to 2,100 Level 249 non-hidden arcane river monsters, given 3 times per week per world, not per character )

Sellas (Celestars) [ edit ]

Requirement: Level 240 and above, obtained Arcane Symbol : Esfera.

There seems to be something strange underwater. The alliance decided to investigate it.

There are 4 main areas in Sellas.

  • Peaceful Submarine : Town
  • Where the Light Last Touched : Monster ranges from Level 245 to 247 , requires 600 Arcane Force
  • Endlessly Plunging Abyss : Monster ranges from Level 248 to 249 , requires 640 Arcane Force
  • Star Engulfing Abyss : Monster ranges from Level 250 to 251 , requires 670 Arcane Force
  • Monsters level 245 to 249 have 10x the HP and gives 3.7x the EXP.
  • Monsters level 250 to 251 have 11x the HP and gives 3.85x the EXP.

Upon completing the Sellas storyline quests, you are rewarded with 20 Selective Arcane Symbols which are untradeable and expires in 7 days if unused.

(Reboot World only) At a very low chance, monsters can drop the Sea of Beginnings Water Drop Stones, which are tradable. Use 9 of them to combine with 1 Spider Cobweb Water Drop Stones to exchange for 1 Arachno Coin by finding NPC Kanto in Esfera.

Tenebris [ edit ]

It is split into 3 sections: Moonbridge, Labyrinth of Suffering, Limina. Monsters have 11x the HP and gives 3.85x the EXP. This is the last area in Arcane River, suitable for players who achieved level 250 and wants to strenghthen themselves more to face the Black Mage at the end.

Moonbridge [ edit ]

This area require players to be level 245+ and have completed the Esfera questline. There are 3 main areas in this section:

  • Last Horizon - Monster ranges from Level 250 to 251 . Requires 670 Arcane Force.
  • Mysterious Fog - Monster ranges from Level 252 to 253 . Requires 700 Arcane Force.
  • Void Current - Monsters here are Level 254 . Requires 730 Arcane Force.

The Giant Monster is a huge eye-like monster who watches over Moonbridge. To enter, you must be Level 245 or higher and must have completed all Moonbridge quests . Requires 730 Arcane Force. It is available in Normal Mode only and can be attempted once daily, cleared once per week.

Upon clearing the story quests, you can obtain a daily quest, which requires killing 200 monsters in Moonbridge. Clear the quest to obtain 1 Flame of Wishes .

You can also receive 13,500 Level 254 unrounded arcane river monsters worth of EXP (13,500 times 161,569 times 3.85 = 8,397,548,775 EXP) once per world, not per character.

Labyrinth of Suffering [ edit ]

This area require players to be level 250+ and have completed the Moonbridge questline. There are 3 main areas in this section:

  • Interior - Monster ranges from Level 255 to 256 . Requires 760 Arcane Force.
  • Core of Suffering - Monster ranges from Level 257 to 258 . Requires 790 Arcane Force.
  • Deep Core - Monsters here are Level 259 . Requires 820 Arcane Force.

In the deepest part of the Labyrinth, there is an eternal swamp where Verus Hilla, the most loyal general, reborn with the powers of the Black Mage, resides. To enter you must be Level 250 or higher and must have completed all Labyrinth quests . Requires 900 Arcane Force. It is available in Hard Mode only and can be attempted once daily, cleared once per week.

Upon clearing the story quests, you can obtain a daily quest, which involves killing 200 monsters in Labyrinth of Suffering. Clear the quest to obtain 1 Flame of Wishes .

You can also receive 13,500 Level 259 arcane river monsters worth of EXP (13,500 times 670,940 = 9,057,690,000 EXP) once per world, not per character.

Limina (Limen) [ edit ]

This is the final area, where the Black Mage finally awaits. This area require players to be level 255+ and have completed the Labyrinth questline. There are 3 main areas in this section:

  • World's Sorrow - Monster ranges from Level 260 to 262 . Requires 850 Arcane Force. (The World's Tears Middle 1-4: Monster Level 262, requures 1,000 Arcane Force) The Final Horizon is located at the edge of this area, where the Guard Captain Darknell, the chief of the Elite Bosses, resides. This is a level 265 boss available only in Normal Mode, can be attempted once daily, cleared once weekly.
  • The End of the World - Monster ranges from Level 262 to 264 . Requires 880 Arcane Force. (The World's End 1-7, The World's End 2-6: Monster Level 263~264, requures 1,000 Arcane Force)
  • Giant's Heart - This is basically the entrance to the final boss, the Black Mage.

Located at the Giant's Heart within the Black Sun, the final boss, the Black Mage, finally awaits. To enter you must be Level 255 or higher and must have completed all Limina quests . This boss requires 1,320 Arcane Force, which is equivalent to the amount of Arcane Power from all 6 symbols at level 20 (maxed). However, Story Mode (during the questline) requires only 880.

This boss is available in Hard Mode only. It can be attempted once per day, if you have the required materials (50 Flames of Wishes + 1 Essence of Dark Energy combined into 1 Fragment of Destiny), and can be cleared once per month (resets on 1st day of the month). Defeating this boss will unlock the Genesis Weapon questline.

Upon clearing the story quests, you can obtain a daily quest, which involves killing 200 monsters in Limen. Clear the quest to obtain 1 Flame of Wishes .

You can also receive 14,400 Level 263 unrounded normal Limen monsters worth of EXP (14,400 times 184,447 times 3.85 = 10,225,741,680 EXP) once per world, not per character.

Arcane Force [ edit ]

Arcane force is used in Arcane River to penetrate the defense system of Erdas. Arcane Symbols are the main source of Arcane Force. Based on your Arcane Force and required Arcane Force, your final damage is adjusted to between 10% to 150% of the original damage and monster damage will hit between 0% to 280% of its original damage (not applied to %HP attacks) .

Arcane Force can be obtained from:

  • Arcane Symbols: +10 per Arcane Symbol Level equipped and +20 per Unique Arcane Symbol equipped
  • Certain event expirable overhead titles and skills
  • Hyper Stats : +5~+100
  • Guild Skill : +15~+30

However, arcane force not from arcane symbols are only applied to the penalties/advantages in arcane river maps and nothing else that uses arcane force.

Arcane Symbols [ edit ]

Arcane Symbols can be leveled up to give more Arcane Force by equipping duplicated Arcane Symbols. Arcane Symbols can be obtained from different ways.

  • Vanishing Journey: Daily Quests, Erda Spectrum and Monster Drops in Vanishing Journey/Reverse City
  • Chu Chu Island: Daily Quests, Hungry Muto and Monster Drops in Chu Chu Island/Yum Yum Island
  • Lachelein: Daily Quests, Dream Defender and Monster Drops in Lachelein
  • Arcana: Daily Quests, Spirit Saviour and Monster Drops in Arcana
  • Morass: Daily Quests and Monster Drops in Morass
  • Esfera: Daily Quests and Monster Drops in Esfera

Note: Monster Drop rate is insanely low (about 1 in 20,000+ monsters at 1x drop rate for specific area symbols, and even lower for selectors). Symbol selectors dropped are tradable in non-Reboot worlds, and untradeable in Reboot worlds .

In addition, events may give out untradeable Arcane Symbol Selector coupons to exchange for a symbol of your choice (only the ones that you have obtained a symbol from quest are allowed to be chosen)

Both symbols and mesos are needed to increase the symbol level.

You can use a lower growth symbol to combine with a higher growth symbol at no additional cost, but mesos used on the lower growth symbol are not refunded. This makes it possible to exceed the required symbol for the next level, and the excess is carried over (in the case of level 20, excess symbol also counts when using an Arcane Catalyst)

Arcane Symbols will increase your Final Stats and Arcane Force.

  • All Jobs (except Xenon and Demon Avenger): 100 Final Primary Stat per 10 Arcane Force from Arcane Symbols
  • Xenon: 48 Final STR, 48 Final DEX, 48 Final LUK per 10 Arcane Force from Arcane Symbols
  • Demon Avenger: 2,100 Final HP per 10 Arcane Force from Arcane Symbols

Transferring Arcane Symbols [ edit ]

From the Union Coin Shop , for 300 Union Coins, you can buy an Arcane Catalyst, up to 3 per character weekly (not available in Reboot Worlds) . Use it to destabilize an Arcane Symbol Level 2 or higher to turn it into an Unstable Arcane Symbol. It will have the following characteristics:

  • Symbol Level drops back to Level 1
  • Total Symbol EXP reduces to 80% of original, rounded up.
  • Tradable within the account

Place in storage to transfer it to another character. That character must meet the following requirements to stabilise it to use that Arcane Symbol.

  • Completed the corresponding town's story quests (Obtained an Arcane Symbol for that town)
  • The same symbol must not exist in the same character (whether or not equipped), so the character must throw away existing duplicate symbols to stabilize it (Dream Coins, Spirit Coins, and symbol exchange coupons are allowed however).

Once stabilized, symbol becomes untradeable. Final Stat boost will be adjusted to match the job . You will then have to pay mesos to bring the Arcane Symbol back to higher levels if applicable.

The growth conversion is as follows, assuming all mesos are paid after the conversion.

Arcane Quickpass [ edit ]

At the first 6 Arcane River towns, you can talk to Spiegelmann to instantly complete daily quest by paying 500 Maple Points per quest, or 2,000 Maple Points per weekly special content attempt (however, only the maximum attempts option is available, so the service cannot be used partially). Quickpass cannot be used from 11.50pm to 12.30am daily . Arcane River progress discount will be applied to Quickpass.

Achievements will not be awarded for using Quickpass and only Arcane Symbols or the exchange coupons will be awarded. EXP for weekly special contents are not paid, but the daily quest EXP can still be obtained if it is not claimed yet (once per world per area daily). In the same way as completing the daily quest normally, a prompt is given to ask if you want to receive the EXP if available, and rejecting it will not use the chance count for EXP, but it will award only the arcane symbols or the exchange coupons.

MapleStory Erda Spectrum Guide

Erda Spectrum is a mini-game in MapleStory Vanishing Journey area that allows players to earn additional Vanishing Journey Arcane Symbols. The mini-game is considered a MapleStory Daily, as it can be completed up to 3 times a day. Each successful completion earns the player 2 Vanishing Journey Arcane Symbols that can be used to level up their VJ Arcane Symbol. This guide will show you how to complete Erda Spectrum.

Erda Spectrum Party Quest

Erda Spectrum can be found in the Vanishing Journey town in Arcane River . Speak to NPC Nina to start a round.

Whilst technically Erda Spectrum can be completed in a party quest, it can also be completed solo. There is no match-making for this mini-game, so you'll need to find players who want to partake if you don't want to solo.

Erda Spectrum can be completed up to 3 times a day. However, you can reduce the amount of attempts by unlocking Chu Chu Island and Lachelein. When these areas have been unlocked, you will get the opportunity to automatically complete those attempts and claim the rewards right away; you just have to make sure you complete at least one attempt in order to get the other 2 tries for free.

Each run of Erda Spectrum lasts around 5 minutes, depending on how quick you can defeat Vanishing Journey mobs.

Erda Spectrum First Stage

The first stage in Erda Spectrum is always the same. You enter a map where mobs from Vanishing Journey will spawn periodically and you must kill them in order to earn Erda power. You can see how much Erda power you have at the top of the screen, along with a timer of 10 minutes (if it reaches zero, game over!).

Erda Collector

The aim of the game is to collect enough Erda power to activate the Erda Collector. You will need around 100-200 Erda power in order to complete the stage, but if your Erda Collector runs out, you can collect more as long as you're within the time limit. Once you have 100+ Erda Power, press the Harvest key to activate the Erda Collector. As the next stage continues, your Erda power will slowly drop. If it reaches zero, the Erda Collector will stop working and you'll need to collect more Erda.

Harvest Erda Key

Once you activate the Erda Collector, a new game will start. This time you need to use your Basic attack key to generate orbs of Erda . The color of these orbs generated depends on what color the Erda Collector is glowing at the time of attacking it. These then need to pushed to the left or right depending on the color of the orb. You can push the orbs by using your harvest key.

Erda Orbs

At either side of the map are two teleporters. The color of these teleporters changes each round, and you need to hit your Erda orbs into these teleporters in order to gain points. Purple orbs can go to either but they also give 2 points each. You need to collect a total of 10 orbs .

Erda Plumes

Watch out for the plumes that randomly generate on the floor. If any of your orbs enter these plumes when they explode, they will be destroyed and you'll have to activate more orbs from the Erda Collector.

The stage ends once you have collected 10 Erda Orbs.

Erda Spectrum Second Stage

There are two different Erda Spectrum second stages that you can be put into once the first stage is completed.

Erda Spawn Portal

Second Stage Protector requires you to protect the Erda Collector from monsters which spawn from portals from your left and right. A max of 50 monsters can ever spawn, and if it reaches 50, it's game over. There is a counter at the top of the map which tells you how many monsters have spawned.

You need to periodically clear the mobs from the map as they spawn. The round lasts for 2 minutes and as it continues, more and more mobs will spawn faster. This round is easy to do if you can one-shot the mobs, otherwise you may need to party up with another player.

Arma Erda Collector

The other second stage you can get is to fend off the giant Arma, which is a snake like mob. During the stage, 2 Arma mobs will advance on your Erda Collector in the middle of the map. If either reach the center of the map, it will be game over.

In order to fend them off, you will need to press the harvest key to activate the Erda laser beam , which can be used to knock back the giant Arma monsters into the cave.

Arma Laser Beam

You need to knockback a total of 5 Arma in 2 minutes. Each time you activate the laser it consumes erda power. You can get more Erda power by defeating the Arma Follower mobs which spawn periodically.

Arma Invincible

When an Arma first spawns, they will have an invincibility shield around them, this is a good time to collect Erda power so you can use the laser for longer periods. Once the Erda is out of his cave more, the shield will disappear and you can use your Laser to knock him back.

Once 5 Arma have been knocked back into their caves, the round is over and you will be able to collect your Vanishing Journey Arcane Symbols.
