Tour details, day 1 – arrive in cairo for your egypt nile tour vacation.

When you flight lands in Cairo, the vibrant Egyptian capital, your tour manager will meet you at the airport, and once formalities have been taken care of, he or she will escort you to the very nice hotel where you will be staying during your time in this vibrant city. On arrival at the hotel, you will be assisted with check-in, and then your tour manager will confirm a pick-up time for tomorrow’s sightseeing tour. After this, you will have the rest of the day to yourself to enjoy as you wish.

DAY 2 – Full Day Tour in Cairo

After you have had your breakfast today, you will enjoy an unforgettable private tour in Cairo with one of our Egyptologist tour guides. Most of the morning will be spent at the Giza Plateau which is home the Egypt’s famous ancient Giza Pyramids; the Sphinx, and the Valley Temple. After this leg of your tour, you will be taken for lunch at a good local restaurant, and then you will visit the Egyptian Museum.

The Egyptian Museum houses the world’s largest collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts, including all the artifacts that were found in the tomb of King Tutankhamen. When you are finished at the museum, you will then be taken to Coptic Cairo to see the Hanging Church and the Ben Ezra Synagogue, and from there you will head to Islamic Cairo to enjoy a stroll around the incredibly lively Khan el Khalili Bazaar which has been open ever since the 14th century.

Once you have seen enough of the bazaar, we will then drive you back to your hotel and you will have the rest of the day to yourself.

DAY 3 – Flight to Luxor for Egypt Nile Tour Embarkation

Check-out from your hotel after breakfast this morning, and then we will drive you to the airport where you will then board a flight for your trip to Luxor. On arrival at Luxor Airport, one of our tour representatives will meet you and then accompany you to the port area where you will board your 5-Star cruise ship that will be taking you for one of the most magical journeys ever.

Enjoy lunch aboard the cruise ship and a nice leisurely cruise along the Nile to Esna. Afternoon tea will be served at the appropriate time, and there will also be a small Captain’s Welcome cocktail reception in the evening shortly before dinner. Enjoy this night of your Egypt Nile Tour on the river at Esna.

DAY 4 – Horus Temple and Overnight at Kom Ombo

Enjoy a nice leisurely breakfast on the river while your cruise ship is sailing to Edfu. When you reach Edfu, your tour guide will then take you to see the remarkable Temple of Horus. What makes this temple particularly impressive is the fact that it is the best-preserved ancient Egyptian cult temple ever discovered in Egypt.

After your visit to the temple, you will return to the ship, and it will cruise Kom Ombo. There are no further sightseeing trips scheduled for this day of your Egypt Nile Tour package, so you can enjoy the remainder of the day as you wish.

Lunch, afternoon tea and dinner will be served at the usual times. There will also be a very entertaining Galabya Party aboard the vessel and you will spend this night of your trip on the river at Kom Ombo.

DAY 5 – Sail to Aswan and Aswan Tour

Today you will be leaving Kom Ombo quite early, and you will be sailing along the Nile to Aswan. On arrival at Aswan, you will enjoy another very memorable tour, this time to see the Aswan High Dam; the magnificent ancient Temple of Philae, and the massive Unfinished Obelisk which is located in the area’s ancient granite quarries.

Following your Aswan sightseeing trip, you will return to the the cruise ship for lunch, and then you will be taken to see the Botanical Gardens aboard a traditional Felucca boat. After sailing around this island in the Nile, you will once again return to the ship in time for some afternoon tea. Enjoy some free time for yourself, and then sit down to another good dinner on the Nile in the evening.

Shortly after dinner, there will be a traditional Egyptian Belly Dance Show and also a Egyptian Folkloric Show, and you will spend this night of your Egypt Nile Tour on the river at Aswan.

DAY 6 – Free Day with Optional Abu Simbel Tour

Today you will have the choice of spending your day on the cruise ship in Aswan, or going for an optional trip to Abu Simbel to see two ancient rock-cut temples. This ttrip is not included in the price of your Egypt Nile Tour package, and it will involve a 3-hour drive in both directions. Given that the Abu Simbel Temples are Egypt’s second-most recognizable ancient site, we highly recommend this tour.

DAY 7 – Sail Back to Kom Ombo; Edfu, and on to Esna

Enjoy your breakfast on the river Nile while sailing to Kom Ombo where the ship will dock while you enjoy a tour to Kom Ombo Temple. This remarkable temple was dedicated to two different Egyptian gods at the same time, so there is essentially two of everything, including two halls; two sanctuaries, and etc.

Following your tour, you will return to the ship, and it will cruise to Esna via Edfu. Lunch, afternoon tea and dinner will all be served at the usual times, and you will spend this night of your Egypt Nile Tour on the river at Esna

DAY 8 – Sail to Luxor and Luxor West Bank Tour

Have breakfast on the river while you cruise to Luxor, and then once the ship ties up, your tour guide will accompany you on a tour to the West Bank where you will visit Valley of the Kings which is home to the tombs of Ramesses VI and King Tutankhamen, along with 60 other tombs. From here you will be taken to see the huge mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut which is also one of the most visited ancient Egyptian attractions in the country.

Finally, as you make your way back to the cruise ship, you will enjoy a brief stop at the Colossi of Memnon, and you will be back aboard the ship in time for your lunch. The remainder of the day is free for you to enjoy as you wish, and you will spend this night of your Egypt Nile Tour on the river at Luxor.

DAY 9 – Cruise Disembarkation; East Bank Tour, and Fly to Cairo

After breakfast, it will be time for final disembarkation from your cruise, after which you will enjoy one more tour, this time to the East Bank of the Nile to see the sprawling Karnak Temple complex and the beautifully preserved Luxor Temple.

After your tour, you will be taken for lunch at a good local restaurant, and then you will be driven to Luxor Airport for your flight back to Cairo. When your plane lands, your tour manager will once again meet you, and escort you to the hotel where you will be spending the last night of your stay in Egypt.

DAY 10 – Egypt Nile Tour Ends and Final Departure

Enjoy your breakfast, and then at the appropriate time, your tour manager will meet you at the hotel, and then accompany you to Cairo International Airport in time for your flight out of Egypt. Your Egypt Nile Tour is now over, so at this point we will say goodbye and wish you a safe and pleasant onward journey.

Based on the review here, we booked on the Sonesta Moon Goddess March, 2023. We were disappointed. The rooms were indeed classic and comfortable. The carpets in the hall were old and stained. The HVAC systems in the room did not work properly despite engineering’s best efforts. Hot water was often hard to come by. The most disappointing element was the food. This was served buffet style, and almost never maintained hot. It was as if I had returned to my high school cafeteria. The staff were attentive and tried to please.

DAY 1 – Your 5 Star Egypt Tour Begins

On arrival at the airport in Cairo, your tour manager will meet you and assist you through immigration with our Fast Track service, and then escort you to your hotel in a clean and modern air-conditioned vehicle driven by one of our experienced drivers. Once you have been checked in at the hotel, your tour manager will discuss your Luxury 7-Day Cairo and Nile Cruise Trip itinerary with you and also confirm pick-up times for your tours. After this you will be left to enjoy the rest of the day as you wish.

DAY 2 – Great Pyramids and Cairo Tour

At the time which will have been confirmed with you, your guide and your driver will fetch you and take you to see the Great Pyramids of Giza on the outskirts of Cairo. You will also be able to view the Sphinx and the Valley Temple during your visit. Unlike most regular tour packages, our Luxury 7-Day Cairo and Nile Cruise trip also includes an admission ticket for the Solar Boat Museum that houses the reconstructed solar ship of Pharaoh Khufu.

After visiting Egypt’s most famous ancient site, enjoy lunch at a good quality local restaurant, then visit the Egyptian Museum, home to the world largest collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts. The museum also has a room dedicated to the display of all the artifacts recovered from the tomb of King Tutankhamen, known as the Treasures Room. There is also a specially designed Mummies Room in which some real mummies are on display. Our Cairo and Nile Cruise package include admission to the Treasures but to the Mummies Room. A ticket for this room can however be purchased at the museum.

Next, you will drive to an area of the city known as Islamic Cairo where you will visit Cairo’s famous Khan el Khalili Bazaar which has been open since the 14th century. Enjoy strolling around the bazaar or simply sit and observe ordinary Egyptians going about their daily lives while you enjoy some refreshments. Once you are ready, your guide and driver will then escort you back to your hotel for the night.

DAY 3 – Cruise Embarkation and Sightseeing in Aswan

Today you will check out from your hotel after breakfast and then you will be driven to the airport where you will catch a flight to Aswan. When you land, another one of our tour representatives will meet you and then escort you to board the exquisitely appointed 5-Star cruise ship which will be your home for the next three nights.

Enjoy lunch aboard the ship shortly after boarding, and then one of our Expert tour guides will take you and possibly a small group of our other clients to see the amazing ancient Temple of Philae that was devoted to two goddesses, Hathor and Isis.

At around 19h00 there will be Welcome Drinks served on the ship, accompanied by some authentic Nubian entertainment. Dinner will then be served afterwards, and you will spend this night of your Cairo and Nile Cruise trip in your cabin on the water at Aswan.

DAY 4 – Cruise with Kom Ombo and Edfu Excursions

Your cruise ship will depart from Aswan at 05h00 and it will sail to Kom Ombo where you will be taken to see the twin temples of Kom Ombo that were devoted to Sobek the crocodile god and Horus the falcon-headed god. Then, at 09h30, you cruise ship will depart and it will start sailing to Edfu. Enjoy lunch out on the river while sailing, and then once you arrive, you will be taken to see Edfu Temple which is also known as the Temple of Horus or Horus Temple. It is the best-preserved ancient cult temple ever discovered.

At 16h30 the cruise ship will depart from Edfu and it will sail to Esna where you will be spending this night of your Cairo and Nile Cruise trip on the water.

DAY 5 – Sail to Luxor and Luxor West Bank Tour

Today, the ship will leave Esna at 04h00 and it will sail to Luxor. Enjoy your breakfast any time between 07h00 and 09h00, and then it will be time for your West Bank tour to begin. Today’s tour will see you visiting 4 wonderful ancient sites: Valley of the Kings; Dier El Madina; Habu, and the Colossi of Memnon.

Valley of the Kings, which is an ancient royal burial ground, is perhaps most famous for being home to the tomb of King Tutankhamen, but there are more than 60 other tombs there as well, including the tomb of Pharaoh Ramses VI. Some of these tombs are open to visitors while others are not. Some have also been designated as Special Tombs and to enter these visitors are required to purchase separate tickets at the site.

Deir El Medina is also a vast site that is fascinating to visit because it consists of the remnant of a large workers village that was once inhabited by those workers who were responsible for constructing and decorating the tombs in the Valley of the Kings and also those in the Valley of Queens.

After your tour, you will return to the ship in time for lunch, and then 17h30 you will be taken to see the splendid Luxor Temple which is located on the East Bank. Have dinner back on the ship, and enjoy the last night of your luxury Nile cruise on the water at Luxor.

DAY 6 – Karnak Temple and Return to Cairo

After breakfast, it will be time for you to check out and disembark, and then your tour guide will take you to see the sprawling ruins of Karnak Temple. Following your visit to Karnak, you will be driven to the airport in Luxor and you will catch a flight back to Cairo. As usual, you will be met at the airport in Cairo when you land and then you will be driven to your hotel where you will be staying for the last night of your Cairo and Nile Cruise trip.

DAY 7 – Your 5 Star Egypt Tour Ends

Your luxury 5 Star Egypt Tour ends today, so at the appropriate time, your tour manager and one of our drivers will fetch you from your hotel and then transfer you to the airport in time for you to board your flight back home. Your trip may be over, but you will be boarding your flight with so many priceless memories.

While The Pyramids of Giza are a spectacular attraction during daytime hours, the evening show provides another dimension to the Seventh Wonder of the World. During t his magical experience, visitors travel back in time with the Sphinx providing the narration. This massive mythical creature has witnessed many events, having stood over the temples for millenniums, guarding the kings’ burial grounds, possessions and dynasties.

Part entertainment, part history lesson, discover Egypt’s rulers: King Khufu, who built the Great Pyramid, King Khafre, his son who built his namesake structure and King Menkaure, who oversaw the creation of a smaller pyramid. Leave the show with a better understanding of the temples’ undiscovered mysteries and secrets revealed through archaeologists.

Shows are offered each evening, weather permitting. Visitors can select from standard and VIP seats and in one of 10 languages. Transportation is included from and to your hotel.

Nile Dinner Cruise

The Nile River, at 4,132 miles (6,650 km), is the longest in the world and flows north to the Mediterranean Sea. A three-hour dinner cruise is a wonderful way to absorb more of Egypt’s culture.

During the evening cruise, guests can experience Cairo’s ever-changing scenery and the city’s illuminated splendor. Ample time is available to explore the ship and walk the decks.

The dining experience may include Egyptian and international cuisine. This evening’s entertainment showcases traditional Egyptian instruments, music and tanoura dancing in Middle Eastern costumes. Day 1 Cairo

Salaam Alaikum! Welcome to Egypt. On arrival at the airport, you will be met by a representative and taken to your hotel.

A buzzing metropolis, home to at least 19 million people, Cairo gives you a great feel for Egyptian streetlife. It’s busy – almost frantic – and among the hustle and bustle, it’s an exciting blend of old world and new. Arabs call this city Umm al-Dunya (the mother of the world). There are many beautiful mosques to visit, like the Mohammed Ali Mosque in the Citadel. Or head to the oldest part of Cairo, the Babylon Fortress, to see ancient ruins. For stunning panoramic views of the capital, go up the 187-metre-high Cairo Tower.

Try some street food – lamb shawarma, anyone? – or get a taste of Egyptian street life by visiting a cafe. Sit in an ahwa and sip traditional mint tea. The shisha pipe can be found in many ahwas and restaurants across Cairo.

Day 2 Cairo Alexandria

This morning after breakfast we will visit the Egyptian Museum, home to one of the world's great collections of antiquities. Wander the treasure-filled halls of the museum, and make sure to check out the Royal Mummies Hall for a close encounter with some of the country’s most important queens and pharaohs. The masses of gleaming artefacts recovered from the tomb of Tutankhamun are quite something.

Afterwards we depart Cairo and drive to the port city of Alexandria along what is known as the ‘desert road’. Upon arrival in Alexandria, our experienced English speaking guide will take us on a scenic tour of the second largest city in Egypt, extending 32 km along the Mediterranean coast. Alexandria is known for its stunning broad beaches and seafront corniche dotted with sun loungers and cafes. Following this, prepare to delve into the captivating Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa. Heading underground, we’ll get to view the largest known Roman burial site in Egypt, complete with burial chambers, labyrinth alleyways and entertaining rooms for families coming to visit the dead. The crypts are 20 metres below street level, and what probably began as a small family tomb grew into a coil of rooms that could accommodate more than 300 bodies. After this we will head to our hotel for check in, where you may spend the rest of the day at leisure or head out and explore the city.

Day 3 Alexandria El Alamein Cairo

This morning we depart Alexandria and drive towards the town of El Alamein where we will visit the Commonwealth War Cemetery and Memorial. It is here where two extended battles were fought during World War II. The first began on the 1st July 1942 and lasted for 27 days, ending as a stalemate. After 3 months of holding back the enemy, the allies launched a second attack which lasted for 13 days. The importance of El Alamein was highlighted by Winston Churchill, who said “Before Alamein we never had a victory.” Following our visit here, we will drive back to Cairo and check into our beautiful hotel in view of the Pyramids of Giza.

Day 4 Cairo

Today will be full of excitement as we head out to see some of the world’s most iconic sights – the magnificent Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Instantly familiar yet full of mystique, these incredible pharaonic tombs are an incredible sight and will fill you with awe. Here we’ll explore these powerful structures that have stood tall and proud for 4,500 years. Afterwards, we’ll head to the ancient site of Saqqara, the oldest complete stone complex known in history. Saqqara also served as the burial ground for Kings and High officials that lived in the ancient Egyptian Capital, Memphis. Here we’ll view the legendary pyramids of Saqqara, including the famous Step Pyramid. Other small pyramids in the area are worth visiting, especially the King Unas Pyramids. The walls of his Pyramids are covered with texts or what can be called Magic spells to assist with the Pharaoh’s journey in the afterlife. This concept continued to evolve to produce the so called ‘Book of the Dead’. Many of the Book of the Dead texts can been seen in Valley of the Kings tombs in Luxor. As our tour here concludes, we’ll head back to our hotel for an evening of leisure.

Delight in an evening's entertainment as the Great Pyramid of Giza comes to life with lights and lasers under the night sky. The Sphinx “narrates” a condensed history of the ancient Egyptians while the projected effects give new perspective to the ancient structures.

Day 5 Cairo via Aswan Abu Simbel Embark Lake Nasser Cruise

Today we leave Cairo and fly to Abu Simbel (via Aswan). Often referred to as the Temples of Ramses II, the two enormous sandstone structures at Abu Simbel were built in 1255 BC by Ramses II to commemorate himself and his favorite wife Nefertari. The larger temple, dedicated to three major Egyptian deities, features four large statues of Ramses II on its facade, while the smaller temple is dedicated to the love goddess Hathor, with statues designed to embody Nefertari. Set on the banks of the artificial Lake Nasser, the structures were once in danger of being flooded with the construction of the Aswan High Dam but were saved via an extensive project to cut the temples into pieces and move them to higher ground, where they are seen today.

Following our tour of Abu Simbel we will board our Lake Nasser cruise.

The Sound and Light show at Abu Simbel will transport you to the time of the pharaohs. Enchanting you with melodious music, and bringing the ancient world to life around you, the show includes projections onto the temples showing how they once looked. It is an experience not to be missed, one that will make your visit to Abu Simbel the memory of a lifetime.

Day 6 Lake Nasser

Our extraordinary Nile Cruise begins on beautiful Lake Nasser, one of the largest man-made lakes in the world. Today we will sail to Qasr Ibrim, originally a major city perched on a cliff above the Nile. After the flooding of Lake Nasser during the construction of the Aswan High Dam, Qasr Ibrim was transformed into an island with its outskirts underwater. Now an important archaeological site closed to the public, we will sail just close enough to view the fascinating ruins from the ship’s sundeck and take some photographs. After this we will continue on to see the Temple of Amada, the oldest Egyptian temple in the region, constructed by Pharaoh Thutmose III of the 18th dynasty. Here we will also see the temple’s sole tomb, the Tomb of Pennut. The rock-cut Temple of Derr can be seen here as well, built during the 19th Dynasty by Pharaoh Ramesses II.

Next we sail on to Wadi El Seboua, where our day today will end and our tour will begin tomorrow. The evening will be spent on board relaxing and mingling with fellow travellers, discussing the incredible sights we’ve encountered so far.

Day 7 Lake Nasser

This morning we begin with a tour of Wadi El Seboua, where several important sites were relocated during the Aswan High Dam construction to save them from flooding. The government and groups involved in the relocation of the country’s national treasures found it easier to relocate multiple sites together to a few carefully chosen spots. Wadi El Seboua was one of these chosen spots and as a result there are numerous magnificent things to see here. After touring the temples of Wadi El Seboua, we will sail back towards Aswan.

Day 8 Disembark Lake Nasser Cruise Aswan Embark Nile Cruise

Early this morning we will be heading out for a visit to the Temple of Kalabsha. This Roman Period temple to the sun god Mandulis was entirely relocated in 1970 to protect it from Lake Nasser. It was built by Emperor Augustus and was the largest free-standing temple of Egyptian Nubia. During relocation, the temple was cut into 13,000 blocks. Later this morning we will disembark for a different Nile cruise as we leave Lake Nasser and sail up the river towards Luxor. Enroute we will make a stop at the fascinating Nubian Museum. The museum is considered to be a gateway to the history of Nubia that enables visitors to understand the complex history of this unique area. The stunning architecture of the museum itself is enough of a reason to visit. Before we continue on our journey to Luxor, you will have the opportunity to participate in another one of our bonus Inspiring Sights to enhance your experience.

Please note that since the sailing distance between Aswan and Luxor is approximately 200kms, that it is typical for all cruises operated along the Nile to be docked for majority of the time to conduct sightseeing, with the sailing to occur of an evening. The vessel will be docked either in Aswan or Luxor. Depending on the time of year and number of vessels operating at the same time, you will also find that all vessels are docked beside one another, which is beyond our control. To ensure that our customers have appropriate expectations prior to their journey, it is important not to compare this experience to that of a European River Cruise, which tend to cover a greater distance and on larger vessels. Instead, you will experience a Deluxe stay on-board your vessel, offering a great chance to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the banks of the Nile while you sit back and relax. Your cruise schedule will be provided once on-board.

Day 9 Nile Cruise - Kom Ombo Edfu

Today our journey ashore is to visit the Kom Ombo Temple. Set dramatically on the bank of the Nile, 168 kilometres south of Luxor, the soaring, chunky columns of the Great Temple of Kom Ombo are a magnificent sight as you arrive from the river. Dedicated to the gods Sobek and Haroeris, the temple's finely carved reliefs give a sense of this area's prominence as capital over the surrounding region during the Ptolemaic era. Today, Kom Ombo may be a sleepy agricultural backwater surrounded by sugar cane fields, but its prime position along the Nile once made it one of Upper Egypt's most important centres. Wander through the temple's colonnades, gazing up at scenes of kingly propaganda, and you'll capture a feel of this glorious history for yourself. We’ll then return to the cruise boat where we’ll continue travelling upriver, with free time relaxing on the sundeck and taking in the surrounding sights – desert hills forming a backdrop to lush riverbanks, fishermen casting their nets and farmers working their land.

Tonight we continue sailing towards Luxor, and arrive before midnight.

Day 10 Luxor

We swap our ship for a small boat this morning as we approach the open air museum of Luxor and the “Valley of the Kings”. Luxor is full of wonderfully preserved reminders of the Pharaohs. Today we will discover some of the many wonders of ancient Thebes.

Our first stop is the Colossi of Memnon, two 17 metre-high statues on Luxor's west bank. Carved from granite blocks, they represent the Pharaoh Amenhotep III and were once part of an impressive colonnade. From here we will continue on to the spectacular royal burial site of the Valley of the Kings. Buried under the arid hills here are over 60 tombs of pharaohs, many richly decorated with reliefs and paintings. We’ll explore this sprawling and spectacular place, where the pharaohs of the New Kingdom (16th to 11th century BC) were secretly interred for all eternity, and where discoveries are still being made. Our guide will explain the history and legends of these remarkable people, their funerary rites, and the significance of the many paintings and hieroglyphics, still well preserved in the deepest tombs. We’ll visit three of the most interesting royal tombs and then continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, a stunning colonnaded building set against high cliffs that create a spectacular natural amphitheatre. One of Egypt’s greatest Queens, she built this temple to prove her importance among the ancestors.

This evening we will enjoy our final night on board our cruise vessel before disembarking tomorrow morning.

Day 11 Disembark Nile Cruise Luxor

This morning we disembark our Nile cruise and set off to explore the magnificent Karnak Temple, which is perhaps the most impressive of all the ancient Pharaohs' monumental works. One of the world's most celebrated temple complexes, Karnak is a house of the gods built over a period of some 200 years. Our guided tour of this vast temple of impressive pylons, obelisks and chapels will reveal its finest sections, such as the Avenue of Sphinxes and the Great Temple of Amun.

Following this we will check into our hotel and then the rest of the day is free to relax, shop in the excellent bazaar or perhaps experience the atmosphere of a local teahouse.

Day 12 Luxor

Sitting on the east bank of the Nile River, Luxor lies on the site of ancient Thebes, the pharaohs’ capital at the height of their power, during the 16th–11th centuries B.C. We visit the graceful Luxor Temple, a large Ancient Egyptian temple complex constructed in 1400 BC. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 13 Luxor Hurghada

Today we say farewell to the Nile and drive east to the beachside town of Hurghada. The green Nile valley is soon left behind as we head out into the barren Eastern Desert. Passing through rocky hills, the glittering waters of the Red Sea soon come into view and the rugged bulk of the Sinai Peninsula looms through the haze on the opposite shore. A vibrant beach resort, Hurghada is by no means a typical ‘adventure destination’. After checking in to our hotel, we’ll take a walking tour with our guide to get our bearings and check out some of the local restaurants and eateries. In the afternoon, enjoy some free time.

Day 14 Hurghada

Today is a free day to relax and explore in this beautiful Red Sea beach side town. 

Experience Egypt’s underwater splendours on this full-day Red Sea snorkelling trip by boat from Hurghada. Cruise out onto the sparkling Red Sea and drop anchor at three prime snorkelling locations. Don your own snorkelling gear or the provided equipment and enjoy ample time to float through the crystal waters past dazzling corals, exotic fish and perhaps even turtles and rays.

Day 15 Hurghada Cairo

This morning after breakfast we leave Hurghada and make the short flight back to Cairo. On the return to Cairo we’ll make our way to the colourful and energetic Khan El Khalili bazaar. Even if you are not looking to buy, taking a walk through the winding alleys of this labyrinthine district, you are sure to find something that will catch your eye. This may also be a great opportunity to pick up some last minute gifts or souvenirs. From here we arrive at our hotel for check in. The rest of your final day in Egypt is yours to spend as you wish. This evening enjoy an Inspiring Taste . Sit down for a home-cooked meal with a local family. During this experience, you'll get to visit a local family and learn about Middle Eastern traditions, Egyptian culture and tasty food but most importantly, enjoy a delicious and authentic home cooked meal.

Day 16 Cairo

Unfortunately, today marks the end of your incredible tour through Egypt.

Important Information

Fitness Requirements While the tour itinerary should give you some guidance and overview to the expected requirements, to determine if this tour is right for you we categorise each of our tours in terms of their intensity. These guidelines are to ensure that each tour group is conducted as expected and to ensure the overall satisfaction of all Inspiring Vacations customers.

As a general rule, porterage is not included, therefore at all times you are expected to handle your own luggage where help may not be available.

This particular tour is categorised as a “3”:

3 – Moderate Tour: A good level of fitness and mobility is required, as this tour includes a moderate level of physical activity and is considered a medium-fast paced tour. You should be able to walk up and down stairs, get on and off the coach and able to walk reasonable distances of approximately 2 kilometres per day or more with ease. Any physical ailments you may have must be disclosed at the time of booking to determine your suitability. If you have any form of walking aids, other than a walking stick or hiking poles, then this tour is not suitable.

Tipping A friendly reminder that tipping is not included in your package. At the commencement of your tour you will be asked to provide tipping to your guide towards a ‘kitty’, which is then used towards the guide tipping for the services of helpers, hotel staff, restaurants and airport porterage. We suggest USD$5 (AUD$7 approx) per person per day towards the kitty. Please note that this tipping is not for the guide, merely for the guide to tip the services of the driver and local workers during your tour. While not made compulsory, if you choose not to contribute to the kitty it means that the guide is tipping for these services out of their own pocket. Your cooperation in this instance is most appreciated.

Tipping for your guide will be collected at the conclusion of their services. To remove the uncertainty and stress of not knowing how much is appropriate to tip we recommend USD$6-8 (AUD$8-12 approx) per person per day. The amount you wish to contribute is dependent on the services received and at the complete discretion of the guest. Thank you for your understanding.

Accommodation The accommodation listed is subject to change. Any changes will be of an equal or higher standard. Bedding configurations (double or twin) are requests only. All efforts will be made to meet your preferences however any changes are beyond our control.

Visa & Passport information It is the traveller's responsibility to ensure they have a valid passport. The passport must be valid for a minimum of six months from the intended date of return.

Most passport holders will require a visa to enter Egypt.

• purchase the visa in cash (USD, GBP or EUR) at an authorised kiosk within the arrival hall, prior to proceeding toward immigration
• you will be given a stamp to put in your passport
• at immigration, present your stamped passport with a minimum of 6 months validity after arrival, your travel itinerary and documentation outlining tour bookings and accommodation
• visit  visa2egypt.gov.eg  and follow the prompts to sign up, sign in, apply for the e-visa and pay online (USD or EUR only)
• once your visa application as been processed, you will receive an email with updates on your application (an application must be created at least seven days prior to arrival)
• if successful, you will receive an email with a link to download your e-visa which you will present (including a printout of your e-visa, passport with a minimum of 6 months validity after arrival, your travel itinerary and documentation outlining tour bookings and accommodation) on arrival in Egypt - local officials will verify your e-visa when passing through immigration

Children Children must be 5 years old or over and share a room with parents at all times. Children are the same price as adults.

Health & Mobility Requirements

All participants must be in good physical condition to fully engage in this journey. For the safety and welfare of yourself and fellow travellers, if you are feeling unwell prior to departure, we advise staying home and contacting us to arrange alternate plans.

Prior to selecting your trip, carefully review the itinerary to assess your ability to comfortably manage our travel style. Please be aware that if, based on evaluation by our leader or local representative, a participant is deemed unable to safely complete the itinerary, we retain the right to exclude them from all or part of the trip without reimbursement.

It is advisable to consult your physician for current medical travel advisories and any required vaccinations before embarking. We recommend carrying a first aid kit and any necessary medications in their original packaging, as they may not be readily available during travel. For those carrying medication, it's essential to check your government's foreign travel guidelines for local restrictions or regulations.

Please note that you must select your Optional Tours no later than 70 days before departure, after which you will be required to purchase them on tour.
