ABOUT BLACKPINK

One of the most massively successful K-pop groups in music history, BLACKPINK have redefined the global pop landscape since first bursting onto the scene in 2016. Along with boasting the #1 most-subscribed artist channel on YouTube, the South Korean quartet has achieved such boundary-defying milestones as scoring the highest-charting album by a female group in over a decade and becoming the first K-pop girl group ever to perform at Coachella (the largest music festival in the U.S.). Comprised of JISOO, JENNIE, ROSÉ and LISA—all immensely charismatic vocalists, dancers, and fast-rising fashion icons—BLACKPINK began their meteoric rise with their 2016 debut SQUARE ONE and further proved their crossover power with SQUARE UP (a 2018 release that quickly cracked the Billboard 200). Soon after signing with Interscope Records through a global partnership with YG Entertainment, the group made their full-length debut with 2020’s immediately iconic THE ALBUM . THE ALBUM shot to #2 on the Billboard 200 and landed three singles on the Billboard Hot 100: “How You Like That” (the iconic single that shattered several YouTube records, including fastest video to cross 150 million views), “Ice Cream” (a collaboration with Selena Gomez that broke the record for highest-charting female K-pop group on the Hot 100), and “Lovesick Girls” (a track that’s sold over 1.4 million copies worldwide, making BLACKPINK the first K-pop girl group to sell over a million units). Through the years, BLACKPINK have also garnered a number of major awards (including three E! People’s Choice Awards and most recently awarded Best Metaverse Performance at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards where Lisa also made history as first K-pop soloist to win Best K-pop Act), collaborated with superstars like Dua Lipa and Lady Gaga, performed on “The Tonight Show,” and starred in < BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky> (a 2020 film hailed by the New York Times as an “endearing documentary that emphasizes each member’s individuality”). With over 9 billion career Spotify streams to date, BLACKPINK are now conquering the world with their recent album BORN PINK . The group is now touring the entire planet with their second studio album, already made the United States and Europe, while in 2023 the group will hit the road in Asia and Mexico.

Blackpink’s Back: Everything We Know About the Group’s Upcoming Album, ‘Born Pink’

A new era for Blinks is upon us.

blackpink performs at 2019 coachella

The announcement, made via teaser on July 31, didn’t come as a surprise to most fans, given that the Blackpink members—Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa—had let slip numerous signs that another album was incoming. A press release shared in early July 2022 by their label, YG Entertainment, announced the group would release new music in August, kicking off “a continuous large-scale project which will extend through the second half of the year.” The accompanying world tour would be the “largest world tour in the history of a K-pop girl group.” And after releasing their new promotional track “Ready For Love” for the battle royale video game PUBG Mobile, Blackpink seemed poised to declare their return to chart dominance.

Since releasing their first full-length album, THE ALBUM , in October 2020, Blackpink has transformed into one of the most globally ascendant musical acts of the last decade. Each of its four members are now celebrities in their own right, festooned with fashion deals: They’ve each earned luxury brand ambassadorships, with Jisoo signed on at Dior, Jennie at Chanel, Rosé for Yves Saint Laurent, and Lisa with Bulgari and Celine. And while Jennie told ELLE in November 2020 that “fashion definitely empowers us as much as music does,” the group’s musical career is far from sidelined.

“I feel like I’m recharging myself,” Jisoo told Rolling Stone in May 2022. “My life these days is not too busy, because we’re not actively performing yet. I want to come back with music quickly.” Now, the days of waiting are nearly over.

When does the album come out?

Blackpink has announced the official release date for their second album, titled Born Pink: Sept. 16. at 12 a.m. EST.

What songs are on the album? Which will be singles?

“Pink Venom,” a pre-release single , dropped on Aug. 19 at 12 a.m. EST .

The group then shared the full track list for the album on Sept. 7.

  • “Pink Venom”
  • “Shut Down”
  • “Typa Girl”
  • “Yeah Yeah Yeah”
  • “Hard to Love”
  • “The Happiest Girl”
  • “Ready for Love”

It seems producer and OneRepublic lead vocalist Ryan Tedder is involved in other tracks, having revealed to Good Morning America that “I have worked on Blackpink material. I did write with the girls themselves.”

He added, “I genuinely love Blackpink and so I can’t tell you what's coming out. I think one or two of my songs have made the album from what I’ve been told. The stuff that I did with them I can just say is very true to their sound. They wrote it so it was very much me just supporting them, their ideas. It’s cool as hell.”

What about the world tour?

Blackpink initially confirmed the journey will begin in October, following the release of Born Pink. In an online press conference timed to the release of “Pink Venom,” Jennie confirmed the group will perform largely new material during the tour. “It’s our first [tour] in a very long time, so we’d like to focus on our originality and include a lot of new songs,” she said.

On August 8, the group revealed the tour will run from October 15, 2022, through June 21, 2023, beginning in Seoul, Korea, before moving onto stops in the United States, Canada, England, France, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, China, Australia, and more. The full list of dates is below:

See All Taylor Swift's New Eras Tour Outfits in Europe — Including Her Custom 'Fortnight' Dress

From a custom Vivienne Westwood gown for 'TTPD' to an orange Versace bodysuit, see the singer's new looks for the Eras Tour

all born pink tour dates

Taylor Swift proved she never goes out of style as she returned to the Eras Tour .

Following a two-month hiatus, Swift returned to the stage for an electrifying show in Paris on May 9. In addition to changing up her setlist as she included new songs from The Tortured Poets Department (including sweet nods to her boyfriend Travis Kelce), the singer also donned several new costumes .

For her 1989 set, she wore a mismatched Roberto Cavalli two-piece set and Christian Louboutin boots, which quickly drew parallels to Ariel from The Little Mermaid (which was released the same year Swift was born).

As Swift performed The Tortured Poets Department songs for the first time, including "So High School ," she went full meta with a custom gown from Vivienne Westwood that featured lyrics from the album.

Read ahead to see all the new costumes for the Eras Tour.

Taylor Swift's Orange Versace Bodysuit and Christian Louboutin Boots

Swift kicked off the show with a fiery new Versace bodysuit . While her previous pink and blue bodysuits looked like soft sunsets, this one looked more like the sun itself in a bright pink and orange. She completed the look with matching Christian Louboutins that featured an ombré detailing.

Taylor Swift's Versace Blazer and Christian Louboutin Boots

Kevin Mazur/TAS24/Getty

As Swift sang her hit song "The Man," she perfectly transitioned the set by putting on a custom Versace blazer. The small costume change seamlessly blended together with her bodysuit and Christian Louboutin boots.

Taylor Swift's Fringe Dress and Christian Louboutin Boots

While Swift previously donned gold fringe dresses during her Eras Tour, she opted for a silver and black number as she performed in Paris along with black strass boots by Christian Louboutin. As many Swifties pointed out, the new outfit more closely aligns with the fringe dress she wore during her Fearless Tour back in 2009.

Taylor Swift's Ashish Gupta Shirt

Like her previous tour dates, Swift continued with the tradition of wearing a custom Ashish Gupta shirt as she performed "22." While past phrases have included subtle nods to the song's lyrics, this particular shirt had fans scratching their heads as it read: "This Is Not Taylor's Version."

Kevin Mazur/TAS24/Getty

On May 10, Swift pulled out a new Ashish Gupta shirt, this one reading "I Bet You Think About Me" for "22." Gupta shared a behind-the-scenes photo of creating the sequin design on Instagram .

And on May 12, yet another Ashish Gupta shirt was added to the mix. This one very fittingly read, "I Knew You Were Trouble" from the song of the same name.

Taylor Swift's Yellow Alberta Ferretti Dress

As she combined Folklore and Evermore into one set, Swift donned a dress fitting of the merge, a custom Alberta Ferretti gown. Just as the singer noted the sister albums represent spring/summer and fall/winter, Swift wore a bright yellow gown that could pass as either a summer or fall dress.

Taylor Swift's Custom Alberta Ferretti Dress

On May 10, Swift swapped out her yellow Alberta Ferretti dress for a red version during the Folkmore set. The dreamy dress featured trumpet sleeves, a plunging neckline and mesh illusion detailing.

Taylor Swift's Vivienne Westwood Dress and Christian Louboutin Boots

For her standout performance of The Tortured Poets Department album, Swift wore a custom Vivienne Westwood dress with white leather lace-up ankle boots by Christian Louboutin. The gown, which Swift later took off for a quick costume change (into another Vivienne Westwood look) as she performed "I Can Do It with a Broken Heart," featured the lyrics, "I love you, it's ruining my life," from her song " Fortnight " with Post Malone .

Taylor Swift's Vivienne Westwood Bra Top, Hot Pants and Tailcoat

For the May 11 show, Swift wore a silver version of the tailcoat over her black sparkly bra top and hot pants.

And for the May 12 show, she went all white (save for the sparkly black lapels on the tailcoat).

Taylor Swift's Roberto Cavalli Two-Piece Set and Christian Louboutin Boots

Swift went back to basics as she donned a two-piece set from Roberto Cavalli, including a sequined pink crop top and blue skater skirt reminiscent of the ones she wore during the 1989 World Tour in 2015. She completed the look with mismatched Christian Louboutin boots.

For the May 10 show, her Roberto Cavalli two-piece set was an orange and purple colorway.

On May 11, Swift's Roberto Cavalli top was a bright emerald green and her skater skirt was a fun bubblegum pink shade.

For the fourth show on May 12, Swift switched up the colors again for her Roberto Cavalli set, this time wearing Kansas City Chiefs colors while Travis Kelce was in the crowd . It also happened to be the 87th show of the tour (a nod to his #87). She again wore mismatched Christian Louboutin boots.

Taylor Swift's Pink Acoustic Set Dress

As Swift sang her surprise songs during the acoustic set, she wore a new pink halter dress, featuring a darker pink color along the waist. With her brown guitar in hand, the outfit certainly bore a striking resemblance to the sundresses Swift previously donned during her debut era.

Taylor Swift's Orange Acoustic Set Dress

For the May 11 show, Swift burned bright like the sunset in an orange version of the dress for her acoustic set. The dreamy ruffles floated around her while she strummed on her guitar.

She rounded out the monochromatic dress set on May 12 with a blue version. The dress featured an ombré effect and a voluminous skirt that offered the perfect swirl when she moved.

Taylor Swift's Zuhair Murad Couture Bodysuit

For her final set, the Midnights era, Swift once again opted for a Zuhair Murad bodysuit. This one featured some new detailing including cutouts on her waist and a darker hue of blue.

Taylor Swift's Fringe Dress

Swift brought out another new fringe dress on May 11, this one a silver look. She wore it with her silver Christian Louboutin boots.

Taylor Swift's Reem Acra Gown

The Speak Now ballgown has been a focal point of the Eras Tour since the beginning, and Swift has worn several versions. On May 12 she debuted yet another, this one a custom Reem Acra confection in a soft lavender colorway.
