We've seen Lil Wayne touch numerous stages last year from Dreamville Fest to his own Lil Weezyana Fest in his hometown in Lousiana. However, it's been some time since the seasoned MC has traveled across the country to perform. The last time he was involved with a tour was back in 2019 when he joined Blink-182's Enema of the State 2oth anniversary tour as a co-headliner. Their tour lasted from May to September, but Wayne didn't attend every date on the schedule. Wayne's tour announcement comes a few months after he confirmed Tha Carter VI is in the works. He revealed the exciting news after he performed at Drake's Young Money reunion show in Toronto last year. "What up y'all? Tunechi here," Wayne said into the camera. "Thank you, I ain't s**t without you. I'm not sure if you heard but, Tha Carter VI is on the way." In addition to Tha Carter VI , there's also speculation that Wayne will also serve up ColleGrove 2 with 2 Chainz . The duo recently performed together at LIV Nightclub in Miami Beach alongside Drake , who made a surprise appearance.

It has been a wildly exciting time for Weezy. On April 2 at the Dreamville Festival , the MC stole the show when headliner Drake brought him out for a special performance. When Drake cued up “The Motto,” his former Young Money boss came out to perform his verse. Weezy then performed solo versions of “Uproar” and his 2008 hit “A Milli.”
Just a few days prior, Wayne shared his first-ever career-spanning compilation album, I Am Music , available at all streaming platforms via Young Money Entertainment/Republic Records.
The 18-track collection boasts Weezy’s latest single “Kant Nobody” [feat. DMX] , which was produced by Swizz Beatz. The track has already amassed 8.4 million Spotify streams and counting as well as 5.9 million YouTube views for the music video. The collection also boasts Tha Carter IV standout “6 Foot 7 Foot” [feat. Cory Gunz], which has recently surged back to the top of the conversation, reaching No.8 on the TikTok Top Tracks in the US.
Other highlights include the diamond-certified smash “Lollipop” [feat. Static Major] as well as “Mona Lisa” [feat. Kendrick Lamar], “Drop The World” [feat. Eminem], “A Milli,” “Fire Man,” “Go DJ,” and more.

What Is Lil Wayne’s Setlist For The ‘Welcome To Tha Carter Tour?’
Earlier this month, rap legend Lil Wayne kicked off his Welcome To Tha Carter Tour in Minneapolis, Minnesota. During his tour, Weezy has performed songs from his several multiplatinum albums, his mixtapes, and his guest verses.
What is Lil Wayne’s setlist for the ‘Welcome To The Carter Tour?’
According to posts on setlist.fm from fans who have been in attendance, the setlist for the Welcome To Tha Carter Tour has been fairly comprehensive. Though some of his early hits like “Bling Bling” and “Tha Block Is Hot” were notably absent, much of the setlist consisted of songs from all five albums in Tha Carter series, as well as the mixtapes and guest features in between those albums.
With everything from “Go DJ” to his latest, “Kant Nobody,” it seems like not a single hit was missed.
You can check out the full setlist from a recent show (in Toronto on April 12) below.
1. “Mr. Carter” 2. “Kant Nobody” 3. “Uproar” 4. “Fireman” 5. “Money on My Mind” 6. “BM J.R.” 7. “Drop the World” 8. “Blunt Blowin'” 9. “Let the Beat Build” 10. “John” 11. “La La” 12. “Hustler Musik” 13. “3 Peat” 14. “Cash Money Millionaires” 15. “Rich As F*ck” 16. “I’m Single” 17. “Love Me” 18. “Lollipop” 19. “Mrs. Officer” 20. “Comfortable” 21. “Mirror” 22. “How To Love” 23. “She Will” 24. “6 Foot 7 Foot” 25. “Cannon” 26. “Watch My Shoes Freestyle” 27. “Ice Cream Paint Job Freestyle 28. “Wasted Freestyle” 29. “I’m A Beast” 30. “Ask Dem Hoes” 31. “I’m Me” 32. “Rollin'” 33. “Go DJ” 34. “Every Girl” 35. “Pop That” 36. “HYFR (Hell Ya F*cking Right)” 37. “Ain’t Gonna Answer” 38. “God Did” 39. “Steady Mobbin'” 40. “A Milli”
Lil Wayne Checks All the Boxes on Tour Ahead of ‘Tha Carter 6’

Able to beat the odds (a 40% chance of rain) and deliver a performance in clear weather conditions, Wayne’s set list saw him revisit practically every worthwhile song on every rendition of his five-part Tha Carter album series.
The night saw Wayne open up with “Mr. Carter” off Tha Carter III (2008), which landed on recent our “Top 10 Hip-Hop Albums of the 2000s” list . The next few crops of tracks he performed included “Uproar” off Tha Carter V (2018), “Fireman” and “Money On My Mind” off Tha Carter II (2005), and “Blunt Blowin” off Tha Carter IV (2011).
Midway through the show, though, Wayne decided it was time to take a breather in order to uplift some of the signees on his Young Money Records imprint. YM artists like Jay Jones, Allan Cubas, and Lil Twist all got to perform a few songs of their own, while Wayne receded to the background in preparation to end the night on a high note.
Once he returned to the stage, Wayne finished off with fan favorites like “Go DJ” off Tha Carter (2004), “A Milli” off Tha Carter III, and his verse on Drake’s 2011 hit “H.Y.F.R,” all unassisted by backtracks with studio vocals. Quite frankly, Wayne’s energy and effort on this tour eclipses many of his prior performances from the last few years.
Among this litany of chart-topping classics, though, Wayne also played “Kant Nobody,” his only solo release thus far in 2023, which features a posthumous verse from his late friend DMX . “Kant Nobody” serves as the lead promotional single for Wayne’s sixth addition to Tha Carter series, which he’s teased several times in recent months.
With Tha Carter VI intended to drop before the end of 2023, although it has yet to be given a track list or release date, Lil Wayne’s trip-down-memory-lane tour is a perfect refresher for his most loyal fans.

2024 NFL Draft: DeWayne Carter Scouting Report
After spending the past five years at Duke, defensive lineman DeWayne Carter has decided to declare for the 2024 NFL Draft. The versatile tackle is coming off something of a down year, as he recorded 41 tackles, 3.5 tackles-for-loss, and one sack during his final year at the collegiate level.
Carter joined Duke before the 2019 season but first earned a major role in 2021. Appearing in 12 games, the defensive lineman recorded 36 tackles, 7.5 tackles-for-loss, and 4.5 sacks. He improved on these numbers in 2022, finishing the year with 36 tackles, 11 tackles-for-loss, and 5.5 sacks.
- Quick first step off the snap gives him the advantage in pass rush situations;
- Solid straight-line speed and acceleration allow him to quickly get after the ball carrier;
- Bull rush moves interior linemen;
- Multiple pass-rushing moves capable of helping him collapse the pocket and get after the quarterback;
- Big hands give him an advantage when engaged with blockers;
- Versatile – can line up inside or on the edge with equal success.
- Considerably better as a pass rusher than a run defender – not a three-down player at this point in his career;
- Possible leg day skipper – strong upper body strength does not translate to lower half – can be pushed around when anchoring in run defense;
- Not the best tackler – misses more than you’d like and struggles to pursue running backs;
- Not quick enough to close run lanes against moving blocks.
NFL Comparision: Chris Jones (the former Patriot, not the Chief)
Projection: Round 4
Teams With Need At Position: Cincinnati Bengals, Baltimore Ravens, Jacksonville Jaguars, Detroit Lions
Bottom Line on DeWayne Carter in the NFL Draft
DeWayne Carter enters the NFL Draft as a player who will probably only be used situationally early in his career. The biggest selling point for Carter as a prospect is what he can do on passing downs. The Duke product possesses elite snap recognition, and his above-average speed and acceleration allow him to engage offensive linemen before they know what hit them.
This quickness combined with his strong upper body strength allows him to routinely collapse the pocket and get after the quarterback. As a bonus, Carter can also move around the defensive line and make plays for any position. This versatility is invaluable for a player who probably won’t start right out of the gate.
While DeWayne Carter is good enough to earn a role on an NFL roster, the draft hopeful has some work to do before he’s ready to start. Pass defense is more important than run defense in today’s air-focused NFL, but you still need to be able to do both if you want a three-down job. Carter lacks the lower-body strength for this role, as interior linemen can overpower and push him aside. This stems from a poor anchor, as the Duke product can’t hold space and fill gaps in the run game. Even when he does get a clear shot at a running back, he frequently misses tackles and only manages to slow down the ball carrier, rather than end the play entirely.
The good news is that Carter has the physical ability to improve this part of his game. The defensive lineman has room to add more muscle to his frame, and he’ll fix a lot of issues if he can add a few pounds of lower-body muscle and learn how to incorporate that strength into his game. The bad news is that even if he adds the required build, he probably won’t be anything more than a situational player for the next year or two. Any team selecting DeWayne Carter in the NFL Draft should do so with the understanding that he’ll only be a situational player in the short term.

NEW: Michigan State Adds Running Back To 2024 Roster
The Spartans add to their offense with a veteran tailback out of the transfer portal!
- Author: Matthew Lounsberry
In this story:
The transfer portal is a two-way street!
On a day filled with departures for Michigan State Football, head coach Jonathan Smith and running backs coach Keith Bhonapha struck back with a pickup of their own via college football's form of free agency.
On Tuesday evening, the Spartans earned a commitment from former Massachusetts running back Kay'Ron Lynch-Adams, who took an official visit to East Lansing on Monday. Landing a pledge for the 5-foot-10, 205-pound tailback comes at a good time for Michigan State, which has lost three running backs to the portal over the past week including redshirt senior Jalen Berger on Tuesday. Lynch-Adams is considered a three-star prospect, the No. 823 overall player and No. 74 running back in the transfer portal, according to 247Sports .
Oct 14, 2023; University Park, Pennsylvania, USA; Massachusetts Minutemen running back Kay'Ron Lynch-Adams (15) is tackled by Penn State Nittany Lions defensive tackle Dvon Ellies (91) during the third quarter at Beaver Stadium. Penn State won 63-0.
Matthew O'Haren-USA TODAY Sports
Lynch-Adams was a first team All-Independent selection after rushing for 1,157 yards and 12 touchdowns during the 2023 seasons. In three years at UMass, the redshirt senior played in 30 games for the Minutemen, totaling 1,569 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns on 359 carried (4.4 yards per carry). He added 29 receptions for 168 yards in the pass game at UMass.
A class of 2019 prospect, Lynch-Adams began his career at Rutgers, where he played two seasons for the Scarlet Knights and totaled 320 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 83 carries (3.9 ypc). The tailback was explosive as a pass-catching weapon out of the backfield for RU, with 120 receiving yards and a touchdown on six receptions.
Lynch-Adams helps solidify a position that was growing thin for Michigan State after three Spartan running backs entered the transfer portal this week alone. In addition to losing Berger on Tuesday, MSU had suffered further attrition when redshirt junior Davion Primm and redshirt freshman Jaelon Barbarin entered the portal earlier this week.
Michigan State returns redshirt junior Nate Carter, who will be the Spartans' lead back again in 2024 after rushing for 798 yards and four touchdowns on 185 carries in 2023. Carter added 103 receiving yards on 22 receptions. MSU running backs coach Keith Bhonapha also liked what he saw from true freshman Brandon Tullis in spring practice, who had worked his way up to RB No. 2 on the depth chart by the conclusion of practice.
Lynch-Adams is the second transfer portal addition for Michigan State during the spring window, joining former Oregon and Indiana EDGE rusher Anthony Jones . Smith and his staff have added 13 players to their roster this offseason, including quarterbacks Aidan Chiles and Tommy Schuster, linebackers Wayne Matthews III and Jordan Turner, offensive linemen Tanner Miller and Luke Newman, tight end Jack Velling, defensive end Quindarius Dunningham, defensive tackle D'Quan Douse, punter Carson Voss and long snapper Kaden Schickel.
