Is there an age limit for the music tours? I'm trying to book and it allows me to buy children's tickets but a note pops up that you have to be 13

Their website says tickets for children up to 12 are $17 and adults 13+ are $26. The music is wholesome classic pop, and we saw a few preteens on the upper deck during our cruise.

Is there a restaurant near?

Yes. It is adjacent to the boat. I believe it is called Shiprock. Have never eaten there. Doesn't appear to be fancy and I have heard mixed reviews on food quality.

Took the 4pm live music cruise in March. Weather was perfect + boat tour was super! went with a group of 15 + we had a great time! Scenery is absolutely beautiful, the guitar singer sounded great as we sang along to most songs. beverages & bagged snacks can be purchased at very reasonable prices! Boat was clean & staff was great! highly recommend!

What can I say, it's a nice sightseeing cruise for the entire family. Not only did we get to cruise around the lake, we learned a lot about it and the inhabitants. Captain Dan is very personable and great for this tour boat. For someone that loves to be on the water I really did enjoy myself with my wife and 7 year old son. I'm so happy that my wife booked the cruise.

Done this 2 years in a row for the navigation cruise. It's a fun idea for bringing people from out of state. Informative and funny way to learn about AZ. I've come in July and Sept... both very hot. Limited seating indoors in the fan and shade... but the views are outside on the top deck anyways. It's a nice time... especially with a drink in hand. (Drinks can be purchased on the boat but card only) On weekends the gift shop is open in the boat parked next door... it's nice to have a drink there and sit up top waiting for the tour Instagram: @msbusyblonde

Boat was very clean, Staff was great, Captain John was fantastic. Great sound system, beautiful views and only 80 minutes.

The entire cruise went well. No reserved seating so you can pick your location once you are there. We had beautiful weather the music was just plain fun on the sunset cruise. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. My only suggestion is that there could have been a couple of times to mention what we were seeing. We would go again.

Almost like flying through canyons! There really is no better way to experience these dramatic rock formations. This was the highlight of our Arizona trip and worth every penny. The tour is long and you can shift around to enjoy multiple viewing experiences during your time aboard -- inside, outside, aft, bow, upper, lower. You get to see lots of different terrains along the shores, and of course the gorgeous saguaro cacti (fields? forest?) at one side of the lake. I saw so many formations I wanted to dive off of and into the lake. The spring breakers were were everywhere in their private boats doing just that, and it looked so fun. But I'm glad we enjoyed the lake for the first time on the Belle. The crew was so nice. My toddler spilled her popcorn, and a member gave us another one for free. The captain was funny and taught us a lot through the tour commentary. Make sure to bring cash so you can tip the crew. We didn't have cash and I felt bad. They were fantastic and gave us a memory that will last a lifetime.

Wonderful experience and fun for the whole family! My parents and siblings came to visit so we decided to give this a try. We brought my 1 and 3 year old along for the ride as well. It was family friendly and the captain was very nice! We learned a lot of fun facts and enjoyed the views. They had a bar and snacks available for purchase on board. It did get chilly with the wind, bring jackets!

What a wonderful entertaining boat trip through some very fantastic must see scenery. We are already lining up friends and visitors to repeat this cruise again, it was fun and fantastic. Without a doubt one crew person really stood out, with a stellar performance. That person was the boat captain; Captain Dan. His personal narration during the cruise was most entertaining and enlightening during the entire trip. Captain Dan gets a A+ from me. Boat Captain, Tom Miller Ret.

I took my 84 year old mother on the narration cruise for her birthday. The captain was knowledgeable about the Lake, it's landscape, and the wildlife. He also inserted some great humor. The guided tour was information, the beauty of the lake was breathtaking. We then went up to Shipwreck restaurant and had a wonderful lunch with a great view!

Our kiddos were visiting from Ohio with our young grandchildren , so we wanted to find some relaxing ways to see the sights in a kid-friendly way. This really worked out perfectly! We chose a mid-week wine and music cruise. It was a sunny warm fall day with a light breeze. The had beverages and snacks suitable for all ages. The grandchildren enjoyed the music and boat ride while the adults enjoyed a little beer and wine. The ride lasted about 80 minutes. Long enough that we made use of the restrooms. They were decent- could use some updating though. If you are not up to tubing down the Salt River this is a great way to take in the same kind of scenery. I definitely recommend for a nice little enhancement to share with visiting friends and family.

Originally launched in 1964, the Desert Belle has been cruising the waters of Saguaro Lake for over fifty years. Welcome To Saguaro Lake Marina

Saguaro Lake was formed by the Stewart Mountain Dam, which was completed in 1930. It was the last of the reservoirs to be built on the Salt River.  The lake is named for the Saguaro Cactus, which stand majestically in the surrounding desert landscape. Saguaro Lake has more than 22 miles of shoreline, creating a great environment for boating, kayaking, sailing, skiing, jet skiing, fishing and camping.  The Saguaro del Norte Recreation site is near the dam and includes Saguaro Lake Marina, which includes a restaurant and boat concession, a Maricopa County Sheriff's aid station, picnic tables, restrooms and boat ramps. Butcher Jones Beach, which can be reached by a road a few miles north of Saguaro del Norte, features swimming, picnic and restroom facilities.

Saguaro Lake is located within the Tonto National Forest just 20 minutes from Mesa, Arizona.  Click here  for directions and maps of Saguaro Lake and the area.  There is so much to do at Saguaro Lake! Water, soda, beer, wine and cocktails are available for purchase at the boat’s snack bar.

Visa, MasterCard, or American Express are accepted at the walk up ticket booth and snack bar. Cash is not accepted.
