After reading all the reviews regarding the line, we decided to take the chance and just go to the place and buy the tickets at the tower. It took more time to get a hot dog at the stand next to the line than to buy the tickets to access the tower. It is a nice tourist place, but if you not been there before, you must do it. My son and I went all the way up to the top ( 3rd floor). The elevator takes you up to the 2nd floor and then you need to change it to continue the journey. The price of the tickets are also different depending if you are going up to the 2 nd or top floors. Be ready for the lines going down to the bottom. We decided to Take the elevator from the 3rd to the 2nd floor and then take the stairways and it saved us a quite of time + it was a nice experience. Definitely have a drink (coffee, wine, beer, ... ) while on the top to enjoy the view.

Reasonable prices especially for at the top of the tower. Chocolate croissants were just fine. French fries were a bit soggy but still great flavor. The workers were very nice even to those that spoke only English and were even a bit rude about it. Perfectly fine for what it is.

Considering this was the only place to eat - other than the restaurant - I thought it was very good value. Had a beer in a plastic container and a tray of chips (fries) for a really non tourist type price.

Come to to Mokus for great pizza made with fresh ingredients and thin crusts at reasonable prices. The ambiance is very hipster and happening, and kid-friendly as well. We suggest you check out the bathroom even if you don’t have to go just to bask in awe of the interior decor.

We recommend starting with garlic bread and a few pizzas. For the main course, save tons of space for homemade pasta. Mokus offers two: beef ravioli and spinach ricotta ravioli, as well as the pasta of the day. They are all made from scratch in-house. And to finish it off, try the pistachio crème brûlée!

This is a super cool little cafe near the Eiffel Tower. It’s small with tables close together making the experience pretty intimate. The decor is modern, the service is great, and the food is always flavorful. The presentation is also something to behold with dishes served in cast iron pots.

You’re not going to feel like you’re in a tourist trap here. I didn’t put family-friendly simply because it’s a bit crowded. If your kids are well-behaved (mine aren’t), they’d be happy to serve them.

Start off with six burgundy snails with garlic butter. Next, order the beef rib steak, Béarnaise sauce, marrowbone, and homemade fries or codfish cooked in bouillabaisse juice, and vegetable stew. To end it off, the ever-fabulous chocolate tart!

It’s not cheap, but it is an incredible experience worth considering. I am a bit of a bon vivant when I travel so I would reduce my hotel budget and use that money for this memorable experience. What do you get?

The definition of  bon vivant  is a person who enjoys a sociable and luxurious lifestyle. The photo next to it had better be someone eating a meal at Jules Verne. This restaurant will run you between €190 and €230 per person for dinner excluding beverages. The prices reflect a five-course and seven-course menu respectively and are without a doubt worth the price if you can afford it. It’s not just the quality of the food but the experience you will never forget.

This is a starting point as you are going to want a drink. So,  if you can, you should . Let this be your reward for a successful year or positive life event but know going into it that you will spend a pretty penny. They have a more affordable, he scoffs, menu at €105 for lunch excluding beverages. It is a 3-course tasting menu that makes for a very pleasant experience.

The restaurant has succeeded in receiving 1 Michelin star under all four chefs who have run Le Jules Verne. You can go through their official website. They release timeslots 90 days in advance, so forget about booking a year ahead.

You have two choices, the Main Rooms (overlooking the city) and the Alcove (overlooking the interior). The Main Rooms obviously go first although the website tries to sell the benefits of the Alcove. You can sit down for lunch at 12 to 1:30 in 15-minute intervals. Dinner sit-down times are 7, 7:15, and 7:30 pm. Expect a magnificent 3-hour dining experience for the 5-course menu and longer for the 7-course menu.

He could have taken our order BEFORE their 10 minute disapperance outside. OR sent the other 2 servers to help us. Food was awesome, 2 bottles of wine @ $150/bottle.......We were so annoyed. Anyway, so WE asked the Server to take just a "few Photos" of us... We hurried, since we still had to try to get to our 14:00 pm Appointment. ( We made the appointment 10 minutes late.) This restaurant in a quiet street close to the Eiffel Tower welcomes you in a simple but bright setting. On the plate is traditional cuisine, tinged with some more contemporary recipes – think a generous venison terrine, a good braised veal with Jerusalem artichokes and a classic Mont-Blanc dessert.

Au Bon Accueil

A stone's throw from the Eiffel Tower, this gourmet bistro has more than one trick up its sleeve to win the hearts of the public. Japanese Chef Satoshi Horiuchi lets the market and produce dictate the menu every day – expect the likes of crispy veal head with oyster vinaigrette, quasi roast veal with polenta cake, and baba au rhum with spiced syrup and light cream. It's all beautiful work.

Arnaud Nicolas

A butcher who knows how to cook is few and far between... especially in the residential district of the 7th arrondissement, a stone's throw from the Eiffel Tower. The Head Chef here takes dishes like pâté en croute and terrine, then turns them into a kind of haute couture charcuterie. At the entrance to the restaurant, a corner to take away terrines and more lets you take some of the fabulous cooking home with you.

Don Juan II

Moored at the foot of the Debilly footbridge, on the Right Bank and facing the Eiffel Tower, is this magnificent Art Deco yacht: the Don Juan II, decorated with sumptuous woodwork and covered with thick carpets. It takes you on a 2.5 hour touristic and gastronomic cruise under the leadership of an extraordinary captain: Frédéric Anton! The Chef from Le Pré Catelan has selected some of his signature creations (langoustine ravioli, roast venison with autumn truffle, hot chocolate soufflé) to delight his passengers. Along the Seine, the most beautiful monuments of the City of Light pass by during this luxury journey.

Ducasse sur Seine

Contemplative gastronomy – this is the promise of Alain Ducasse with his electric boat restaurant, moored just in front of the Eiffel Tower, which offers its customers an ecological and silent gastronomic cruise on the Seine. See the monuments of Paris while discovering a kitchen of fine craftsmanship, smoothly led by a brigade worthy of the greatest restaurants in the city.

L'Ami Jean

Stéphane Jégo's cuisine reflects his character: sincere and strong. The dishes alternate between seafood – the chef is Breton – and Basque-Béarnais (he worked for many years under Yves Camdeborde at La Régalade), with game in season, fish, pork, lamb and mushrooms. It would be criminal not to mention the fluffy rice pudding too. Given the restaurant's success, it is always crowded, lively and friendly. A great time.

Le CasseNoix

Old posters, a fun collection of nutcrackers (aka casse-noix), and vintage clocks and furniture make up the décor here. When it comes to small dishes, authenticity also comes first: delicious cuisine canaille , including boudins blancs and pâté en croute. The Chef draws inspiration from his father, a Meilleur Ouvrier de France in Orléans.

Le Jules Verne

We'd be remiss not to mention the only restaurant located inside the Eiffel Tower. Head up 125m in a private elevator to this second floor dining room and enjoy cod with fried garlic and fresh coriander, or a fillet of lamb in its liquorice-flavoured jus. Try to book your meal well in advance and take a table near the bay windows: the view of Paris, through the metal beams of the tower, is quite simply unforgettable.

Le Violon d'Ingres

Bertrand Bluy has managed to preserve the spirit of this restaurant – in the style of a luxury neo-brasserie – and its philosophy, made famous by Christian Constant. In the kitchen, Alain Solivérès and Jimmy Tsaramanana celebrate the South-West with great technical mastery and high-quality produce. Remember to book, as the tables are always full here.

On the roof terrace of the Musée Quai Branly – Jacques Chirac, this entirely glass-sided restaurant boasting interior and exterior architecture designed by Jean Nouvel overlooks the nearby Eiffel Tower. The menu, supervised by Alain Ducasse, is skilfully executed by his trusted collaborator and talented Chef Alexandre Sempere. The modern seasonal cuisine is made with fine ingredients and smacks of the Mediterranean influences beloved of its creator. The desserts created by Pastry Chef Jérémy Schotte, such as the farm-fresh skyr mousse with Buddha's hand and a lemon leaf granita, deserve a special mention.

Monsieur Bleu

As Paris locations go, it's hard to do better than this. Nestled in the Palais de Tokyo, it's a superb spot with its Art Deco room all in grey, green and gold, plus its terrace overlooking the Seine and the Eiffel Tower. The cooking is not to be outdone by the setting however, with dishes proving sophisticated and delicious.

Very close to the Champ-de-Mars is Kwen Liew and Ryunosuke Naito's 18-seat restaurant. He's Japanese and has trained in some of the most prestigious kitchens in Paris (Taillevent, Meurice); she is Malaysian and has trained across Sydney, Bangkok, Singapore, the South of France and Paris. Working perfectly in tandem, they compose market cuisine with intense flavours, offering a delicious facelift to the French tradition.

Sancerre Rive Gauche

Sancerre is the name of a hilltop town, a wine and also this little Parisian restaurant in an upscale neighbourhood facing the Eiffel Tower. Anne-Cécile Faye's modern bistro is helmed by Chef Jean-Philippe Berens, who gives a boost to this historic address with tempting, tasty and highly contemporary dishes.
