Wisin & Yandel Break Their Own Record With 14 Choliseo Shows in Puerto Rico
The duo first made history with eight sold-out Choliseo shows in 2018.

Wisin & Yandel have broken their own record after announcing 14 concerts to take place at The Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in December, part of their 2022 La Ultima Mision Tour.
According to figures provided to Billboard by event promoter Paco Lopez, the reggaeton duo sold out the first nine dates in 24 hours (on March 18), resulting in 864,000 ticket sales and a $5 million gross. The 10th to 13th dates were later announced, with tickets to the 14th show, set for New Year’s Eve, going on sale later this week.

A residency never before achieved by any artist that has played el Choli, the duo officially breaks the all-time record held by Daddy Yankee with his 12 sold-out shows at the venue in December 2019. The “Recordar” artists also break the very record that they achieved in 2018 with eight sold-out Choliseo shows, part of their Como Antes Tour.
“We are more than grateful and excited with the reaction of our dear people in Puerto Rico, and we are more than ready to leave everything on stage,” the duo expressed in a statement. “We always carry the name of Puerto Rico high, and that will continue to be part of our history.”

Earlier this month, Wisin y Yandel announced dates for their 2022 La Ultima Mision trek presented by Live Nation. The tour, kicking off Sept. 30 at the FTX Arena in Miami, marks the duo’s last run together.
“Our career as a duo has been blessed and successful,” Wisin previously told Billboard . “We can’t predict the future but we’re very responsible for the brand and that’s what we want to do on this tour. We want our fans to remember the 2000s hits. More than a goodbye, it’s trajectory.”

WHAT: LA ULTIMA MISIÓN
Latin music’s most iconic duo, Wisin & Yandel, have announced that they will embark on one final epic tour to celebrate the upcoming release of their newest album and 19 years as a duo, making these shows the last time fans can see them on stage together. Produced by Live Nation, the 26-city tour kicks off on September 30th at Miami’s FTX Arena making stops across the U.S. in Atlanta, New York, Houston and more before wrapping up in their home island of Puerto Rico at the Coliseo de PR Jose Miguel Agrelot on December 2nd. Wisin & Yandel recently released the second single “No Se Olvida” from their upcoming album La Última Misión and will be honored with the “President’s Award” from BMI on March 15, 2022.
TICKETS: Tickets go on sale starting Friday, March 18 at 10 am Local Time on pplcenter.com.
