ORLANDO — Universal Orlando Resort is launching its first-ever customer service team dedicated exclusively to travel agents, with the option for agents to reach UOR reps via online chat and text. The theme park company is the latest in a growing list of travel suppliers announcing major investments into their travel agent booking channels.

UOR says its highly-trained team will provide agents “with more support and resources than ever before, reinforcing Universal Orlando’s commitment to the travel agent community”.

The all-new resources include a dedicated call centre team, a responsive text message service and a live online chat feature – all created to offer convenient, multi-platform assistance to travel agent partners whenever and wherever they need it.

UOR says the new communication options add to the existing tools available to travel agents and are specifically designed to better assist in creating the ultimate Universal Orlando vacation experience for their clients:

Do I Really Need a Travel Agent at Universal Orlando?

As a Travel Agent I get into this discussion a lot with clients as well as family and friends.  At the end of the day my statement is always the same.  Just because you have a laptop doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have a travel agent to help you book a vacation, even to Universal Orlando. 

First of all as a travel agent, I have to train yearly to be certified to even sell Universal vacations.  Marvelous Mouse Travel Agents also attend periodic webinars and training sessions. Finally we attend onsite training that include resort tours so we are fully versed and educated so when a client is asking for the best options to meet their needs we can speak not only from what we see on a screen but from first hand experience!  We even create room tour videos so that you can see first hand the types of rooms and amenities we are recommending for your epic vacation. 

Another reason to connect with a travel agent again comes back to knowledge.  We have strong relationships with all of our vendors including Universal especially since we were the FIRST Diamond U-Preferred Travel Agency. If you run into an issue we know who to call.  If a promotion is going to be released we are on it and can usually apply it to your booking. Early Admission

Lisa and Steve, the owners, both worked for the Walt Disney Company and have worked, lived, and have played all around Orlando.
