Lance Henriksen and Judd Nelson?  Sign me up! Despite the low ratings and the lack of views, I decided to give this one a shot. With a made for Sci-Fi channel feel, it surprisingly held my interest.  Somewhere around the middle it lost its charm. Predictable in every way, it's pretty much what you would expect from a haunted ship movie.  It's a decent way to kill some time on a rainy day or for the middle of your next Lance Henriksen marathon but I wouldn't waste energy  petitioning  for the Blue-Ray release. On a side note, and this seems to be a trend in haunted (house, boat, hotel, etc.) / ghost movies: where a character has a hallucination (causedâŠ

I think this movie was lit with table lamps? Was almost a half star but then Judd Nelson had this Steve Urkel âDid I do that?â moment that actually made me giggle. This movie brings me to having watched 13% of Henriksenâs movies. Thereâs no way Iâll even make it to 25%

Review by Ryan Kinder â
A made-for-TV haunted boat movie, which could have been real fun but was pretty dull. And whoever was the lighting director on this should have been fired. The whole thing is just so obnoxiously dark.
Review by Sam P. â â
Nothing that happens in this movie from start to finish matters or makes sense. You could easily re-edit this movie into an unambitious, mundane, maybe even boring-in-a-good-way short film about two middle-aged people who share a vague interest in The Bermuda Triangle but whose separate professional lives similarly refuse to accommodate or enable their equal obsession with TBT and who then go out to dinner together. I'm not saying someone should do this or that I will , but rather that it is simply possible.

Pretty entertaining, surprisingly. I love the CG rendered exterior shots of the ship. Straight up looks like Wetwork from CoD:4. A pretty decent part of the plot reminded me of the first Uncharted game, also. Now that I think about it, Lost Voyage  was way ahead of its time. Judd Nelson ssssuuuccckkkkssss.
Review by VictorMartin â Âœ
I appreciated some of the PS2 style CGI ghosts, but damn this thing was boring. Barely anything happens, and the climax of the film is hardly satisfying. But that being said, my gf and I got some pretty good laughs from it all.
Overall, skip it.
Review by Goremaster â â â
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Lost Voyage is the typical story of a group of people who investigate an abandoned mean of transportation, fall victim to their own fears and die one by one. The list is long: Star Trek 5, Sphere, Event Horizon, the pioneer Solaris and many others.
The difference is that this one isn't about a spaceship or submarine, but a ship, like in "Ghost Ship" and "The Final Countdown". In the latter the plot also took place in the Bermuda Triangle.
The movie is good and features a nice cast with a great performance of Lance Henricksen. It stands out for the fantastic ending with a ghost attack on the ship, compensating for some dull parts and the last unnecessary scene.
The film ends up not explaining exactly why the ship disappeared and reemerged, preferring to leave the end open for a possible sequence that didn't and probably won't come.

So this is basically Event Horizon , but marginally more entertaining because it's very silly indeed.

The mystery of Amelia Earhart may soon be solved if the plane-shaped mass discovered in the Pacific Ocean late last year turns out to be her long-lost Lockheed 10-E Electra.
Tony Romeo and his Deep Sea Vision team â which captured the sonar image of the familiar-looking object during a December expedition to find her plane â are planning a second trip to what they believe could be Earhart and navigator Fred Noonan’s watery grave.
Last week, The Post examined what condition the infamous aircraft could be in after nearly nine decades at 15,000 feet in the Pacific Ocean and what the surviving damage could tell us about how the pair spent their final moments.
Getting to the wreck, however, presents its own cache of questions.
What will recovery of Amelia Earhart’s plane look like?
Retrieving the wreckage will be a long and arduous — and expensive — mission.
The depth where her plane is purported to be has been integral to preserving the suspected aircraft â but will prove to be a detriment to recovery expeditions.
At nearly 3 miles undersea — more than 3,000 feet deeper than the Titanic — the intense pressure makes it risky to send people to investigate the scene, leading the Deep Sea Vision team to look toward utilizing remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) to carry most of the load.
Ocean engineering expert M. Reza Alam pointed out that it will likely take multiple ROVs to work in painstakingly accurate tandem to lift the massive plane off the ocean floor.
Because the infamous Lockheed 10-E Electra will be in some stage of decay, the machines will need to work slowly to move it to ensure no pieces are accidentally ripped apart.
“The remains have a fragile state,” Alam told The Post.
“They are properly broken in pieces. They have corroded parts that are susceptible to more damage during recovery attempts, so it must be handled with extreme care,” he continued, adding that marine organisms have also taken over the plane, transforming it into a living vessel.
The technicians operating the ROVs would also need to keep the contents of the cabin in mind — particularly the delicate handwritten notes and maps that the Deep Sea Vision team hopes have survived nearly nine decades underwater, but could tear at the slightest sloshing.
Although the machines will be equipped with cameras, each would need an almost 3-mile-long cable to connect to the ship above to transmit any form of wireless communication, including Wi-Fi and GPS.
The logistical challenges don’t even touch the possibility of environmental-related or weather-related problems that could arise on the mission, which Alam estimates will take several days to complete.
With many ROVs costing upward of $200,000 per day, the recovery crew could be shelling out a couple of million dollars at a minimum to resurrect the iconic aircraft.
The Deep Sea Vision team has not decided whether or not it would send humans down to the site, which could pose the risk of an implosion as seen with the Titan submersible disaster last year.
“A lot of challenges are there: pressure, depth, underwater wireless communication, environmental conditions, strong currents, rough seas, unpredictable weather storms. These all make the recovery operations difficult and dangerous,” said Alam, the American Bureau of Shipping chair for ocean engineering at the University of California, Berkeley.
Where would Earhart’s plane go?
Once fully recovered from the ocean’s depths, Earhart’s plane would go through several heavy rounds of probing.
The federal National Transportation Safety Board would lead the investigative charge into the crash — but only after a positive identification of the wreckage.
The government’s role would be obligatory whether or not the plane was recovered from international or US waters because it was registered to an American.
Several other stakeholders could come out of the woodwork to get their hands on Earhart’s infamous plane, including Purdue University, the Indiana institution where she worked as a career counselor and adviser to the Department of Aeronautics from 1935 until her 1937 disappearance.
The university — which helped fund the red Vega plane Earhart flew on her historic 1932 journey across the Atlantic and US — was in talks to retain her aircraft for exhibition purposes before she vanished and has since discussed potentially displaying the Electra 10-E airplane, if recovered, at the under-construction Amelia Earhart Terminal at the Purdue University Airport.
While the plane’s future is far from certain, Romeo would like to see it embark on a “traveling expedition” across the country, with a stop in her hometown of Atchison, Kansas, and a final resting place at the National Air and Space Museum — right next to her red Vega plane.
According to Romeo, that dream is shared by her surviving family.
“I see them, as I think the family does, too, as fallen soldiers in a war and we’re bringing them home. Any argument that says we should leave them down there — I actually think that’s disrespectful,” Romeo said.
“If we find their grave site — bring them back home. I think she’d want that. I don’t think she wants to be sitting at the Pacific ,” he continued.
“Eventually the plane is going to disintegrate. In a couple hundred years, the plane will be gone.”
What’s next for Earhart’s plane?
Unfortunately, it will be a few more years before the public can set their eyes on Earhart’s long-lost plane â if the mass seen in the sonar images is indeed her aircraft.
Deep Sea Vision is still mapping out its plans for its second visit to the site, where it will deploy ROVs to get a closer look and — hopefully — confirm it’s Earhart’s plane.
Only then could the crew plan their third mission, which would involve the steps for recovery.
“As you can imagine, getting these expeditions together is, logistically, quite a challenge. You’ve got people, you’ve got equipment, there’s very few ships actually available in that area of the central Pacific, believe it or not,” Romeo said.
The second voyage is tentatively planned for early 2025, with an optimistic possibility it can begin at the end of 2024.
That doesn’t mean Romeo and his team might not sneak another trip in before then to visit the potential crash zone — the location of which they have kept top-secret since the discovery.
“We’ve talked about going back secretly and looking at things. I wouldn’t confirm or deny that, but I would say that we have talked about that possibility,” he teased.

Long-lost first model of the USS Enterprise from 'Star Trek' boldly goes home after twisting voyage
The first USS Enterprise has boldly gone back home, solving a decades-long mystery
DALLAS -- The first model of the USS Enterprise â used in the opening credits of the original âStar Trekâ television series â has boldly gone back home, returning to creator Gene Roddenberry's son decades after it went missing.
The model's disappearance sometime in the 1970s had become the subject of lore, so it caused a stir when it popped up on eBay last fall. The sellers quickly took it down, and then contacted Dallas-based Heritage Auctions to authenticate it. Last weekend, the auction house facilitated the model's return.
Eugene âRodâ Roddenberry, CEO of Roddenberry Entertainment, said he's thrilled to have the model that had graced the desk of his father, who died in 1991 at age 70.
âThis is not going home to adorn my shelves," Roddenberry said. âThis is going to get restored and weâre working on ways to get it out so the public can see it and my hope is that it will land in a museum somewhere.â
Heritage's executive vice president, Joe Maddalena, said the auction house was contacted by people who said they'd discovered it a storage unit, and when it was brought into their Beverly Hills office, he and a colleague âinstantly knew that it was the real thing.â
They reached out to Roddenberry, who said he appreciates that everyone involved agreed returning the model was the right thing to do. He wouldn't go into details on the agreement reached but said âI felt it important to reward that and show appreciation for that.â
Maddalena said the model vanished in the 1970s after Gene Roddenberry loaned it to makers of "Star Trek: The Motion Picture," which was released in 1979.
âNo one knew what happened to it," Rod Roddenberry said.
The 3-foot (0.91-meter) model of the USS Enterprise was used in the show's original pilot episode as well as the opening credits of the resulting TV series, and was the prototype for the 11-foot (3-meter) version featured in the series' episodes. The larger model is on display at the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum.
The original âStar Trekâ television series, which aired in the late 1960s, kicked off an ever-expanding multiverse of cultural phenomena, with TV and movie spinoffs and conventions where a fanbase of zealous and devoted Trekkies can't get enough of memorabilia.
This USS Enterprise model would easily sell for more than $1 million at auction, but really âitâs priceless," Maddalena said.
âIt could sell for any amount and I wouldnât be surprised because of what it is," he said. âIt is truly a cultural icon.â
Roddenberry, who was just a young boy when the model went missing, said he has spotty memories of it, âalmost a deja vu.â He said it wasn't something he'd thought much about until people began contacting him after it appeared on eBay.
âI don't think I really, fully comprehended at first that this was the first Enterprise ever created,â he said.
He said he has no idea if there was something nefarious behind the disappearance all those decades ago or if it was just mistakenly lost, but it would be interesting to find out more about what happened.
âThis piece is incredibly important and it has its own story and this would be a great piece of the story,â Roddenberry said.
Thankfully, he said, the discovery has cleared up one rumor: That it was destroyed because as a young boy, he'd thrown it into a pool.
âFinally Iâm vindicated after all these years," he said with a laugh.

Pinellas couple lost a friend to suicide. Their movie honors him.
- Paul Guzzo Times staff
ST. PETERSBURG â Both 25, married cinematographers Austin and Hailey Spicer live in Pinellas County but have shot more than 20 movies together all over the county in the last three years. Itâs been hectic.
âA blur,â said Austin Spicer.
But itâs how the Seminole High School sweethearts forged relationships with and then cast prolific actors Daniel Roebuck of âThe Fugitive,â Dean Cain of âLois & Clarkâ and Kevin Sorbo of âHerculesâ in supporting roles in the first feature film they wrote, produced and directed.
The movie, âI Feel Fine,â can be seen locally at the Sunscreen Film Festival on April 27 and 28 in St. Petersburg.
Also starring Corin Nemec of âStargate SG-1âł and âParker Lewis Canât Loseâ fame, the film shot in West Virginia tells the story of a popular teenager who openly contemplates suicide and the impact it has on family and friends.
âHaley and I both lost a friend to suicide,â Austin Spicer said. âThatâs a very deeply personal thing that people can relate to.â
They cast Elijah Passmore for the lead role of Ozzie. The character is based on a high school friend who died by suicide. The Spicers worked with Passamore as crew on a movie and realized he reminded them of their late friend.
âWe thought that if he could act like this on camera, he could portray our friend,â Austin Spicer said.
They preferred not to share their friendâs name, only referring to him by his nickname â also Ozzie.
While the movie is fiction, key scenes are based on the Spicersâ real-life experiences in high school, with the friend and how they coped with his death.
In one scene, the cinematic Ozzie and friends skip homecoming to play baseball with apples, just as Austin Spicer did.
In another, Ozzie asks his father, played by Nemec, if the suicidal thoughts mean he would go to hell. That was something Austin Spicer wondered about in the weeks after his friendâs death.
âThat was a real fear I had,â he said, one that has since gone away.
âOzzie had a bubbly personality,â Hailey Spicer said. âHe was the life of the party. He was very wise for his age as well. And I think everyone that knew him, looked up to him. So thatâs kind of what we based the character off.â

He was a senior when the Spicers were freshman and was on the cross country team with Austin Spicer.
âWe were always running the same times and sticking together and pushing each other back and forth,â Austin Spicer said. âWe had this great encouraging relationship, even though there was that age gap. Seniors usually donât want to hang with the freshman. It was really a testament to his character ... to how great he was.â
Their friend died by suicide a little more than a year after graduating high school.
Itâs been nearly a decade since then, but, when talking about him, the Spicers still cry. That made some shooting days difficult for them.
âThere were a lot of hard emotional scenes,â Hailey Spicer said.
But it was also cathartic.
âWe became very close with Elijah Passmore and ... recounted stories about high school and just things that happened with Ozzie,â Austin Spicer said. And as Passmore portrayed their friend, âit was really cool seeing him in glimmers.â
The Spicers hope âI Feel Fineâ helps viewers engage in conversations on suicide, prevention and mental health.
âBoth of us can agree to not take people for granted,â Austin Spicer said. âLifeâs very delicate. This movie is a love letter to a friend weâve lost.â
âI Feel Fineâ will be presented by the Sunscreen Film Festival on at 7 p.m. on April 27 and April 28 at 3:45 p.m. Both screenings are at AMC Sundial 12. For tickets and a full schedule of movies at the festival, visit sunscreenfilmfestival.com .
