This morning, we will set off for Colonial Williamsburg, VA, and this evening we have dinner at the “ Whaling Company” known for fresh dishes like crab cakes, clam chowder, and the Captain’s Platter, as well as land lubbers’ cuisine. After dinner we will experience the “ Celebration in Lights ” which is Virginia’s longest-running drive-through holiday light display. Spanning over two miles, it features more than a million sparkling lights, whimsical holiday scenes, and animated displays. (Dinner)
Today, we visit the “ Jamestown Settlement” which offers a special look at how early settlers celebrated in the 17th century. We will see demonstrations of how early American colonists prepared food, crafted goods, and managed their homes during the colder months. Next, we make a visit to “ Bacon’s Castle” , a journey into 17th-century Virginia holiday traditions within one of the oldest brick homes in America. This historic house is beautifully decorated for the season with classic, rustic holiday adornments that echo the simplicity of colonial life. This evening it’s “ Winterfest on the Wisconsin ” which offers a festive and nautical celebration on one of the most storied battleships in the United States. (Breakfast & Dinner)
Starting the day with a guided tour of Colonial Williamsburg and the Governor’s Palace will immerse us in the charm and festive spirit of an 18th-century holiday. As the holiday season arrives, Williamsburg’s historic district is transformed into a captivating scene of colonial-inspired decorations, twinkling lights, and lively holiday events that blend history with yuletide cheer. Lunch today is a Christmas feast, Southern style, at Rocco’s Smokehouse . This evening, we enjoy the Grand Illumination Festivities with Fireworks at the Governor’s Palace . ( Breakfast & Lunch )
The grand finale of the tour is Busch Gardens Christmas Town which transforms the theme park into a dazzling winter wonderland, creating a magical holiday experience for all ages.
