What are Traveling Spirits?

Traveling Spirits offer players new and old alike another chance to acquire offerings from previous Seasonal Spirits. A new Traveling Spirit will appear in Home every two weeks, and their memories will become available to relive for players who may have missed their stories. Traveling Spirits’ friendship trees will also have other items for players who have already collected their expressions or cosmetics. You will only be able to interact with the Traveling Spirits in-person while they are currently visiting for the weekend, so make sure to develop your friendship with the Spirits before they move on.

Returning Spirits may occasionally appear with a larger group of Spirits from previous events. We plan on doing these events over the course of the year while gathering player feedback, so be on the lookout!

How can I see the Traveling Spirit? I can’t see the Traveling Spirit. Players must have completed the Valley of Triumph in order for the Traveling Spirit to appear in Home.

When do Traveling Spirits appear in Home? Traveling Spirits will appear every two weeks, whether or not there is an active Seasonal event.

Traveling Spirits will be available beginning on Thursday 00:00 PST/UTC-8 (PDT/UTC-7 during Daylight Saving Time) and will depart the following Sunday at 23:59 PST/UTC-8 (PDT/UTC-7 during Daylight Saving Time) for a total of 96 hours. A countdown will reflect how much time is remaining before their departure when you interact with the spirit in Home.

How much will items cost from Traveling Spirits? Currency costs will be different from their original Season’s appearance, and require more effort to obtain. The items will use the following currencies: Candles (non-seasonal), Hearts, and Ascended Candles.

What can I get from Traveling Spirits if I already have their cosmetics, expressions, etc? An additional Wing Buff may be obtained from these Traveling Spirits with Ascended Candles.

Why can’t I see the new Wing Buff rewards? How can I acquire Wing Buffs from Traveling Spirits? You will need to complete the Eye of Eden at the finale of the main Sky story to receive these Wing Buffs. This does not need to take place before the Traveling Spirit departs.

Can I purchase items again? Do I have to purchase items again? If you already own an item offered by the Traveling Spirit, it will appear unlocked in the Spirit’s friendship tree. This includes Hearts and some Blessings.

How will I know which Traveling Spirit will appear next? The order Traveling Spirits appear is random. We will tease on Discord and Social Media which Spirit is arriving next.

When will a Seasonal Spirit be eligible to return as a Traveling Spirit? Seasonal Spirits won’t be eligible to return as Traveling Spirits until the  next full Season has passed.

How many times will a Traveling Spirit appear? Traveling Spirits can, and will, appear more than once.

Can I unlock Seasonal Pendants and/or Ultimate Gifts from Traveling Spirits? I missed getting these items from the store or the Seasonal Pass. Seasonal Pendants and Ultimate Gifts will not appear on the Traveling Spirits in exchange for in-game currency. We plan to bring these items back in another capacity but we have not settled on what that will look like or the costs associated with it.

Traveling Spirit in Light-yu has the same schedule as Sky of appearing every two weeks on Thursday 00:00 GMT+8 server reset and stays for 96 hours until Monday 00:00 GMT+8 server reset . The silhouette image of the spirit will be release on their Official Weibo Page approximately on 12:00 GMT+8 or 1.5 days before the spirit arrives in game.

• Light-yu TS is one week ahead/behind of Sky TS on schedule.
• Light-yu TS does not share the same TS as Sky, whatever TS arrives in Light-yu does not mean it'll come to Sky next nor the other way around. If there is any it's purely coincidental.
• Light-yu spirit trees are formatted slightly different, and costs vary compared to Sky most of the time.
• Light-yu TS sometimes provide extra items in the tree due to special events involving around Netease (e.g. Red Poppy Flower and Red Pinwheel )
• Light-yu may have extra TS based on special occasions such as Chinese New Year, Labour's Day, Dragon Boat Festival and ETC and they work the same as the normal TS.
• Light-yu also has Returning Spirits like Sky does featuring the same theme/spirits but at a slight later date (so far)

Russia: One Week Itinerary

Russia , the largest country in the world has been on my bucketlist for the longest time. This is where the first ‘women only’ tour of Ticking the Bucketlist is headed. We are off tomorrow and would be spending one week in this enchanting land!

Here is what our ‘one week in Russia’ itinerary looks like….

Day 1: Moscow – Izmailovsky Flea Market and ‘Moscow by Night’

We start our trip from Delhi on an Aeroflot flight and reach Moscow at about 0835 in the morning. We head straight to our hotel to stretch our legs and get some shut-eye. We need to charge our batteries for the Russian sojourn. We are staying in the Best Western Vega at the Izmailovsky area, which is very famous for its local flea market. The  Izmailovsky Market is the best place in Moscow for souvenir shopping …dolls, porcelain, jewelry boxes…we will buy them all from here.

Day 2: Moscow – Moscow City Tour and Kremlin Tour

Having seen the city’s light the previous night, it is time to see the city’s colours this morning. We will set off on the Moscow City Tour shows us the highlights of city, starting with the Red Square. This is our day to click a 1000 pictures in front of all the monuments that represent Moscow…St Basil’s Cathedral, the Bolshoi theatre, the Olympic Stadium and the Sparrow Hills.

Exploring the Kremlin

Today is also the day to visit and learn more about the most famous monument in Russia. Kremlin, literally means a fort inside a city. Dynasties built on the site, one century after another and the site came to known as the Kremlin in the 14the century. The walled structure of the Kremlin includes palaces and cathedrals… and a historical past!

Later in the evening, we will enjoy the Russian circus that many of us have seen to television ever so often. Acrobats, clowns and animals….its is time to let the little girl in you come out and clap her hands!  

Day 3: Moscow – Metro Stations and Arbat Street followed by the Bolshoi Ballet

Today, we set out to explore the metro stations of Moscow, each of which is a stellar work of art. Stunning frescos and chandeliers in marble surroundings… it’s a work of art! We will then walk along the Arbat street, which is the city’s only pedestrian street, lined with shops and cafes.

As the night unfolds, I intend to don a classy dress and get set to watch one of the finest shows on earth at the Bolshoi Theatre. I have always been awestruck by the art form and would love to see some of the best performers in the world move gracefully. A performance that is rated as one of the best in the world has to be ticked off my bucketlist!

Day 4: Moscow – Day Tour to Sergiev Posad followed by a crazy bar hopping night!

Sergiev Posad is one the strongest spiritual centres in Russia. Home to stunning churches, Sergiev Posad will give us a flavour of the famous ‘Golden Ring’ of Russia. The tour will take 5-7 hours and we will be back at the hotel in second half.

This will be our last night in Moscow, and we are not going to leave the city without sampling some fine Russian vodka. So, this night is dedicated to bar hopping and pub crawling. Hope to meet some travellers and make new friends.

Day 5: Saint Petersburg – Sapsan train experience to Saint Petersburg and Matryoshka Doll painting class

Saint Petersburg , our next destination, is at least 700 km away from Moscow… and we will zip zap zoom on the Sapsan (the high speed train) to get there in about four hours! The high speed trains are engineering marvels, worth experiencing and we ride this iron horse in the afternoon, reaching St Peterburg in the evening.

As a group, we also join a masterclass to paint our own nested Matryoshka dolls… our own little souvenir to carry and remind us of a fun week in Russia.

Day 6: Saint Petersburg – City Tour and Peterhof Palace

The day starts with a city tour of Saint Petersburg that will give us a peek into what this city has… many bridges, stunning castles, colourful cathedrals and fortresses.

Post lunch, we will head to the Peterhof Palace, also called the Russian Versailles. With spring having set in, the gardens would be green and the fountains will put up a show…I am excited!

Day 7: Saint Petersburg – Hermitage Museum and Shopping

The highlights tour on the previous day will surely make us want to see more of Saint Petersburg…and we will do so by visiting the Hermitage Museum, which is also called the ‘Louvre of Russia’. The Hermitage complex itself is of architectural delight … and the collections have stories to speak which will hopefully, spike our interest enough to make to go back read our history textbooks.

The rest of the day is totally free to visit any of the other monuments or simply shop … it’s every girl’s favourite sport, isn’t it?

Our last night Russia… Oh Russia!!!! Tonight we will explore the party scene in SPB … or maybe … pack for the next day?

Day 8: Saint Petersburg …Bye Bye Russia

Memories, souvenirs and new friendships… it’s time take them all back to India! We check out of our hotel and take the flight from SPB to Delhi, via Moscow.

Wow that is quite an awesome itinerary. I mean… huge Russia in 1 week. I am still dreaming of St. Petersbourg. So many people told me that it is gorgeous. And I would die to see the Ballet

You know I have never considered Russia but this itinerary looks amazing. St. Petersburg looks beautiful. I will certainly consider a trip there now

I’ve only been to St Petersburg so far, and did a few tours in the city and around. But I have a good friend in Moscow, so the incentive is definitely there to go back. I enjoy doing those by night experiences and see how cities transform in different times of day – especially if it’s topped with a circus visit, amazing 🙂

We are thinking of heading to Russia next Summer so will deffo use this itinerary, looks amazing! Would love to visit the Kremlin in Moscow! Thanks for sharing!

I have always been fascinated by Russia. I like the colourful rounds domes on the Palaces just like an Aladin’s Palace. FIFA Football World will be held in Russia next year and I will try my best to visit this beautiful country and will follow your itinerary and contact you. 🙂

Wow, this is awesome. Well weaved itinerary! We had always dreamed of taking pictures of those onion-domed palaces and those colors on the palaces are just mind blowing. We didn’t know that there is a Versailles in Russia the exterior paint and the colors look much similar. We had loved it in France and would love to visit it in Russia too.

I haven’t visited Russia, but it’s definitely on the list! This a great itinerary, I love how you included things to do but also gave some leeway to do things on your own as well (like shopping haha). Beautiful pictures, the buildings and Russian dolls are stunning! I wonder if they’re all hand painted.

The dolls are all hand painted. The cost increases depending on the quality of work and the artist.

Ukraine-Russia war: Zelenskyy says victory plan is 90% ready

Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said he spent yesterday discussing the "Ukrainian Victory Plan" and added it is "90% ready". Meanwhile, Meta, the owner of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, has said it is banning Russian state media networks from its platforms.

Vladimir Putin has ordered the Russian army to expand by 180,000 troops, the Kremlin has said.

That will mean it comprises 1.5 million active servicemen, becoming second in size only to the Chinese army.

Such an increase would also mean Russia overtaking the United States and India, according to data from a military think tank, the International Institute for Strategic Studies.

"This is due to the number of threats that exist to our country along the perimeter of our borders," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

"It is caused by the extremely hostile environment on our western borders and instability on our eastern borders. 

"This demands appropriate measures to be taken."

It is the third time Vladimir Putin has expanded the Russian army since the invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said he spent yesterday discussing the "Ukrainian Victory Plan".

There are several points to it, the Ukrainian president added: military, political, diplomatic, and economic.

Various "necessary steps" have been "clearly defined" and will give Kyiv the "strongest possible positions to bring about peace—a real and just peace", Mr Zelenskyy said on X.

Sounding confident, he continued: "There is nothing impossible in this plan. Over 90% of it is already laid out."

He concluded: "Next week, we will present our Victory Plan to our allies. I am grateful to everyone in the world who stands with Ukraine and helps us defend life."

Ukraine must be allowed to fire Western missiles without restrictions, the president of Estonia has said.

Alar Karis also said "all red lines" need to be crossed and Russia must be forced out of Ukraine.

Peace can only be achieved on Ukrainian terms, he told the Kyiv Independent.

Mr Karis, whose country borders Russia, said: "We are in a very simple position: we should lift the restrictions on the use of weapons that Ukraine gets from the Western world so we can target drones where they start [on Russian territory]. 

"When this happens, the drones never reach Ukraine, Latvia, or any other country."

Whether to allow Ukraine to fire long-range Western missiles into Russia has been high on the international agenda recently.

Sir Keir Starmer, the UK prime minister, was expected to discuss such a move when he met Joe Biden at the White House on Friday.

The meeting ended without any pledge being made.

Ukraine has long argued it should be allowed to use weapons that can strike deep inside Russian territory.

The Kremlin has said that Facebook owner Meta is "discrediting itself" by banning some Russian state media networks from its platforms. 

"Such selective actions against Russian media are unacceptable," said spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"This complicates prospects for normalising our relations with Meta." 

As we reported earlier (8.50am post) Meta claims the networks have used deceptive tactics to carry out covert influencing operations online.

Moscow described Meta as an "extremist" organisation in 2022 and blocked Instagram and Facebook.

It was objecting to changes in Meta's hate speech policy, intended to allow users to express anger over Russia's invasion of Ukraine. 

Maria Ponomarenko, a journalist from Siberia who was jailed after criticising the Russian bombing of a Ukrainian city, has started a hunger strike, her publication has said.

The 46-year-old was detained less than two months after Russia's invasion of Ukraine began in 2022 - after accusing the Russian air force of bombing a theatre in Mariupol.

Last February, she was found guilty of spreading false information about the Russian military by a court in her hometown of Barnaul in western Siberia.

Ms Ponomarenko is one of four journalists from online outlet RusNews - which publishes only in Russian and has little audience abroad - who are behind bars.

RusNews said Ms Ponomarenko had declared a hunger strike but declined to comment further.

Yulia Galyamina, a former Moscow city councillor, said Ms Ponomarenko had been placed in an isolation cell after prison officials allegedly falsified inspection reports against her.

That prompted her to declare a hunger strike at a court hearing on Monday.

"Masha is in a very bad condition," Ms Galyamina said, using an affectionate form of her first name.

"She cried a lot [in court] due to a feeling of powerlessness."

More than 20,000 people have been arrested across Russia for speaking out against the war, according to rights monitor OVD-Info. 

Latvia will send armoured vehicles and drones to Ukraine as part of a new aid package worth €40m (£33m), Ukraine's defence ministry has announced.

There will also be "individual equipment for soldiers and sappers", Kyiv said.

It has thanked Latvia for its "staunch support".

Meta, the owner of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, has said it is banning Russian state media networks from its platforms.

It claims they have used deceptive tactics to carry out covert influencing operations online.

"After careful consideration, we expanded our ongoing enforcement against Russian state media outlets," Meta said in a written statement. 

"Rossiya Segodnya, RT and other related entities are now banned from our apps globally for foreign interference activity." 

Enforcement is due to begin in the next few days.

Earlier this month, the United States filed money-laundering charges against two RT employees.

Officials said there was a scheme to hire an American company to produce online content to influence the 2024 election.

Antony Blinken, the US secretary of state, has said countries should treat the activities of RT as they do covert intelligence operations.

RT has mocked US actions and accused it of trying to prevent the broadcaster from operating journalistically.  

Boris Johnson has tweeted some photographs of a visit he has made to Ukraine.

The former UK prime minister met some injured veterans at a rehab centre in Kyiv which he said shows the "real cost of this war".

The determination to establish a "free Ukraine" continues to burn brightly, he added.

Germany is to provide an additional €100m (£84m) in aid to Ukraine this winter.

Annalena Baerbock, Germany's foreign minister, announced the extra help during a visit to Moldova.

Russia is planning a "winter war with the aim of making the lives of people in Ukraine as terrible as possible", Ms Baerbock said.

Extra air defences are needed to allow repairs to infrastructure, Kyiv has said.

That, in turn, will help to secure demand for power during the winter, when temperatures can drop far below zero.

In July, meanwhile, it was reported that Germany plans to halve its military aid to Ukraine next year.

According to a draft of the 2025 budget seen by Reuters, German assistance will be cut to €4bn (£3.4bn).

That's roughly half what it has been this year. 

Russian forces attacked energy infrastructure in Ukraine's northeastern Sumy region overnight, local authorities have said.

Air defences are said to have shot down 16 drones.

Power was cut in some districts and back-up systems had to be used, authorities said.

Damage was caused in the areas of Konotop, Okhtyrka and Sumy city, officials said on Telegram.

Water facilities had to switch to emergency power.

Acting mayor Artem Kobzar said there were no casualties in the city and energy workers were conducting repairs.

The targeting of critical infrastructure has been a signature Russian strategy in recent months.

The UK government has noted that power plants, electricity substations and gas storage facilities have all been attacked.
