History of the Nature Safari Rajgir

The Nature Safari Rajgir is an ecotourism project in Rajgir, Nalanda district, Bihar, India. It was inaugurated on March 26, 2022, by the Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar. The safari is spread over 500 hectares (1,200 acres) and is home to various wildlife, including lions, tigers, leopards, bears, and elephants. 

The safari is also home to several other attractions, including a glass skywalk, a suspension bridge, an adventure park, and a butterfly zone. Visitors can also enjoy various activities like trekking, cycling, and birdwatching. 

Nature Safari Rajgir Location

The Nature Safari Rajgir is located in the Nalanda district of Bihar, India. It is situated on the Rajgir-Gaya road, about half a kilometer from the Rajgir town center. The Vaibhargiri and Swarnagiri hills surround the safari.

Rajgir Zoo Safari Ticket

The safari is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The entrance fee is ₹100 for adults and ₹50 for children.

Rules and Restrictions for entering in the Rajgir Zoo Safari

To protect the animals and guests, the regulations for the zoo safari trip are considerably strict and more regulated. For example, during a safari, guests are not permitted to leave the vehicle or descend to the bus in order to quiet the animals where they are and to safeguard guests from wild creatures.

The zoo strictly takes action on the use of any kind of drugs, pharmaceuticals, alcohol, cigarettes, or other intoxicating substances.

Additionally, items like matches, sharp tools like knives or cutters, light, or any other combustible products are not permitted because they can damage the animal or otherwise provoke it.

When taking a safari ride in the zoo, neither adults nor kids should use noise-making equipment or make loud noises.

At the zoo, it is forbidden to throw trash, snack wrappers, or food items.

All visitor belongings, including a woman's purse, electronics, and photographs, are prohibited inside the zoo. They have to be put in the office. If not, an animal cruelty punishment may be imposed.

Rajgir Zoo Safari

Rajgir Zoo Safari is situated between two mountains named Ratnagiri and Swarnagiri hills located in the Rajgir. The Safari is spread over an area of 480 acres. It cost Rs 176 crore rupees to build it. The construction of Rajgir Zoo Safari was started in 2016. Which was completed in February 2022, and was opened for tourists.

It was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Bihar, Shri Nitish Kumar on 16 February 2022. At present, there are a total of 7 lions, 2 tigers, 2 bears, 2 leopards and 200+ species of deer will be seen here. In the future, more animals will be brought to it. The total time taken for the safari is one and a half hours. You will not be allowed to exit the car during the safari.

Rajgir Glass Bridge: Ticket Price, Booking Link, Nature Safari, Skywalk, Ropeway, Zipline

The country's first glass skywalk is now open in Bihar's Rajgir Forest, designed to attract tourists from near and far. Also, a modern suspension bridge is available for everyone to use.
