The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA), in collaboration with the National Skills Fund, is launching the Community House Building and Plumbing Project. This initiative aims to equip participants with valuable skills in construction trades over a period of 12 months.
Available Positions:
- Community House Building (NQF Level 2): 30 Learners (Govan Mbeki Local Municipality) – Reference Code: CHB/GMLM/30
- Plumbing (NQF Level 4): 30 Learners (Govan Mbeki Local Municipality) – Reference Code: PLB/GMLM/30
Eligibility Criteria:
- South African Citizen residing in Mpumalanga Province
- Age: 18-35 years old
- Minimum Qualification: Grade 12 (Matric) with Maths or Maths Literacy
- Must submit a CV, certified copies of qualifications, proof of residence, and ID document
- Motivation letter with the correct program reference code
- Resident of Govan Mbeki Local Municipality (or surrounding areas)
- Passion or interest in the construction industry
- No prior participation in the same program

X40 LEARNERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AT THE MPUMALANGA TOURISM AND PARKS AGENCY (MTPA)
The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) invites applications from unemployed candidates to apply for a twelve (12) months Learnership Opportunities for the Financial Year 2024/2025.
The programmes integrate practical, theory and includes both structured work experience and structured learning with an accredited training provider – leading to an SAQA accredited qualification.
The Learnership Students will receive a monthly stipend of R 3 500.00. Kindly note there is no guarantee for renewal of contract and/ or placement beyond the Learnership Programme.
QUALIFYING CRITERIA:
- Unemployed South Africans between the ages of 18 and 35 years
- Must have Grade 12
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Attach an ID copy
- Valid Proof of residence
- Must be residing in the Mpumalanga Province
- Not studying at any tertiary institution
- Not registered for any other learnerships
- People with disabilities are encouraged to apply

The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) invites applications from unemployed candidates to apply for a twelve (12) months WIL Programme for Financial Year 2023/2024. The following field of study from a Public University or Public University of Technology will be considered: National Diploma in Environmental Science.
The programme will expose learners to authentic learning experiences with the opportunity to apply theoretical concepts to practice-based activities.
QUALIFYING CRITERIA:

The programmes integrate practical, theory and includes both structured work experience and structural learning with an accredited training provider – leading to an SAQA accredited qualification.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting in the conservation of biodiversity on the reserves and conservation areas.
- Monitoring and removal of invasive vegetation.
- Assist with task such as fire, rehabilitation and restoration, infrastructure maintenance, monitoring fauna and flora, plant propagation and administration.
- Collection of data to best achieve the objectives.
- Interacting with community members, residents, businesses owners and organisations to promote environmental education and awareness and involvement in the reserve.
- Complete assessment timeously and in relation to practical experience on the reserves.
- Attend training and learner support sessions.

Eligibility Criteria:
- South African Citizen residing in Mpumalanga Province
- Age: 18-35 years old
- Minimum Qualification: Grade 12 (Matric) with Maths or Maths Literacy
- Must submit a CV, certified copies of qualifications, proof of residence, and ID document
- Motivation letter with the correct program reference code
- Resident of Govan Mbeki Local Municipality (or surrounding areas)
- Passion or interest in the construction industry
- No prior participation in the same program
- People with disabilities are encouraged to apply

Applicant Requirements
- Must be a SA citizen.
- Young unemployed and underemployed professionals between the ages of 18 and 35.

- A commitment to career development in the environmental/biodiversity sector.
- Must hold qualifications mentioned in the table above
- People with disabilities are also encouraged to apply.
NB. Underemployed refers to youth employed in any sector than the one they studied for as per the above listed fields.
How to apply
Application Procedure:
- Hand deliver an application letter, detailed CV, copy of qualification(s) and valid proof of residence to the mentioned Locations (Nature Reserves) or at the MTPA Head Office Base Stations – Block J Office J8 .
- Certified copies of ID will be required from ONLY shortlisted candidates only.
- Applicants must indicate their preferred base station on the application letter.
Closing Date: 03 February 2023 at 16h00.
