Airport Distances and Flight Times

Private Jet from Tel Aviv (LLBG) to Moscow

Private Jet from Tel Aviv (LLER) to Moscow

Private Jet from Tel Aviv (LLHA) to Moscow

Distances and flight times shown in the charts above should be considered as estimates only. One (1) nautical mile is equal to 1.1508 statute miles.

From Tel Aviv to Moscow, flights typically operate using heavy, super midsize or midsize aircraft:

Heavy jet options for private charters from Tel Aviv to Moscow include the Bombardier Global 6000, Falcon 900 LX and the Gulfstream G650.

At a cruise speed of 564 miles per hour, the Bombardier Global 6000 can fly at altitudes higher than most commercial airliners, with a ceiling of 51,000 feet. The placement of windows on the fuselage maximizes natural light in the cabin, greatly enhancing the interior design aesthetics.

The versatile Falcon 900LX’s spacious cabin provides three separate areas for work and relaxation. The jet can accommodate up to 19 passengers in a compact configuration or up to 8 passengers in a comfortable setting.

Gulfstream’s G650 is one of the fastest jets in Gulfstream’s fleet with a top speed at 92% of the speed of sound. With a range of more than 7,000 miles, the cabin is typically configured to carry up to 19 passengers and has sleeping accommodations for up to 10. The G650 provides passengers with a smooth flight.

Heavy jets typically include a full galley, catering and flight attendant service.

Super Midsize jets  including the Hawker 1000, Gulfstream G280 and the Bombardier Challenger 350 provide a relaxing private flight experience. A spacious cabin design allows passengers to move about, relax or work comfortably during the flight and a flat floor design maximizes legroom.

The Hawker 1000 is selected for its spacious cabin and extended range capabilities. The jet features a range of more than 3,000 nautical miles, allowing for nonstop flights.

The Gulfstream G280 features include a range of 3,600 nautical miles and a cabin pressurized to a lower, more easily breathable altitude. Another popular feature of this jet is the amount of natural light that flows through the cabin from Gulfstream’s signature large oval windows.

The design of the Bombardier Challenger 350 is configured for performance and passenger comfort with a range of 3,200 miles, a wide cabin, flat floor and convenient baggage cargo areas. The aircraft’s sound suppressing design ensures a quiet cabin for maximum productivity in flight.

Super midsize jets typically include a full galley, catering and flight attendant service.

Midsize jet options  include the Cessna Citation XLS+, the Learjet 60XR and the Gulfstream G150.

A member of the high-performing class of midsize jets, the Citation XLS+ can climb to cruise altitude in just under 15 minutes after taking off in just 3,560 feet, one of the shortest takeoff distances of any midsize jet. This takeoff rate represents an advantage for private jet charterers because the Citation XLS+ can operate out of smaller airports closer to the charterer’s arrival and destination points.

The Learjet 60XR offers a perfect combination of performance and comfort. Cabin seating features include dual drop-down armrests, 360° swivel capability for efficient conversations during flight and full recline capability to maximize relaxation.

The Gulfstream G150 is one of the fastest midsize jets available with a maximum speed of 547 mph. Cabin configurations include a club seating layout with two forward-facing seats in the rear of the cabin.

All midsize jets typically seat up to 9 passengers and include digital entertainment, a galley and Wi-Fi for in-flight entertainment.

In conclusion, Moscow is one of the most popular European destinations for private jet charters. A leading global business hub, many business executives traveling to Moscow’s business centers utilize private jets for their efficiency. After spending time in Moscow, leisure travelers come away from their trip with a deep sense of fulfillment from spending time together immersed in the cultural richness of Russia’s past, present and future and the lasting warmth of the people of Moscow who call this capital city home.

A professional charter coordinator will ensure your privately chartered flight to Moscow is flawless, from a spacious cabin with zones configured with ultra-comfortable seating, first-class dining with flight attendant service, digital entertainment options with an intuitive cabin management system and plenty of baggage space that can be conveniently accessed during flight.

Explore Bellingham’s coastline and history aboard a sunset cruise, narrated by a historian

Have you ever wanted to explore Bellingham’s rich history and scenic coastline from a boat? Now you can.

The Whatcom Museum is hosting History Sunset Cruises for its 37th summer, taking guests on a journey across Bellingham Bay and into its history.

The Whatcom Museum hosts these cruises on Tuesday nights each summer, with this season running from July 9 to Sept. 10. The Bellingham Herald hopped aboard this historic cruise on July 30 to give you an inside look into this unique Bellingham experience.

After purchasing your tickets online, you’ll be able to arrive at the Bellingham Cruise and Ferry Terminal, and hop aboard the Victoria Star, a 100-foot boat that features two levels of seating, indoor and outdoor areas, as well as a snack bar and full bar serving beer, wine and cocktails.

On board, visitors can embrace the nautical ambiance with signature cocktails such as the “Seaweed Shaker,” “Rosario Rum Runner,” and “Lopez Lemonade.”

The boat boards at 5:45 p.m., and returns to the terminal at 8 p.m.

The cruise is narrated by Brian Griffin, a 92-year-old historian who has lived in Bellingham his whole life and has published many local history books. Griffin has narrated the museum’s history cruises for sixteen years.

“My goal is to support the Museum which I believe is a vital piece of the cultural life of the community. I know that the profits from these cruises is important to the financial health of the museum. I greatly enjoy doing the cruise narration and hope that guests will come away with a better sense of how the community they share came about,” Griffin wrote in an email to The Bellingham Herald.

Once aboard, you’ll start your cruise headed south, hearing about the history of the boat, Bellingham’s cruise terminal, Bellingham’s railroad and beaches.

Along your cruise ride, you can sit inside to hear Griffin’s historical narration and facts or follow along with his slideshow presentation. If you’re a history buff who wants to hear the entire commentary, sit inside. Outdoor seating does offer amazing views, but sometimes it is difficult to hear the commentary.

The cruise will head down through Chuckanut Bay and in between Clark’s Point, as Griffin teaches the history of the land, parks, and local animals like otters, seals and bald eagles you may spot on your journey.

“If the cruises are unique it is because they offer a view of the community from the water. Most citizens have no other opportunity to see Bellingham from that perspective nor do they have an opportunity to learn of our history verbally,” Griffin wrote.

The cruise continues to follow the coastline south, allowing viewers to sneak a peek at some large homes, private beaches and cars driving through the tree-lined Chuckanut Drive.

Griffin also puts history in the context of his childhood, telling stories from growing up in Bellingham and noting how much the area has changed throughout his 92 years.

“I enjoy telling of my childhood playing along the old mill site which is now Boulevard Park, of the wartime machine gun nests, the industrial structures that are no longer existing but were such important features of the community and its economy. I love to tell the stories like the naming of Vendovi Island, the changing course of the Nooksack, and the immensity of the glaciers which once shaped our land,” Griffin wrote.

The cruise makes a straight shot north, all the way up to the Bellingham Marina. Riders will be able to catch a glimpse of Mount Baker on clear days as they hear the history of Lummi Nation, a house that homed the first white settlers in Bellingham, Bellingham Cold Storage and the Hotel Bellwether.

The unique cruise experience highlights Bellingham’s beauty and history, along with its community and diversity.

Only four more sailings are scheduled for 2024.

“If Bellingham is unique it is surely because it is a small city with a large university situated in the cusp of natural beauty. The mountains, the sea and the agricultural land that surround us offer boundless opportunity and inspiration to those of us who call this home. A community where people really care and support with their energy and their treasure an incredible cultural level,” Griffin wrote.

Tickets for the cruise cost $50 to the public and $40 for museum members. Children ages 5 and under cruise for free but preregistration is required. Tickets can be purchased online in advance, or at the museum store from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday at 250 Flora St. in Bellingham.

All proceeds from the cruises go to the Whatcom Museum’s educational programs and exhibitions.

The cruise also allows you to pack your own food and nonalcoholic drinks. We also recommend packing binoculars, cameras and a rain jacket.

The Bellingham Cruise and Ferry Terminal is at 355 Harris Ave. in Bellingham.

Cruises at the Delaware beaches: See wildlife up close or relax and watch the sunset

Portrait of Ben Mace

Cruises at the Delaware beaches can be relaxing or adventurous, a time to sit and watch the sunset or jump up to spot dolphins or a whale leaping out of the water or seals sunbathing on rocks.

Let’s start with a few examples of the adventures. While seeing a whale is rare in the summer off the Delaware coast, dolphins are usually plentiful, said Sherri Reardon at Fisherman’s Wharf cruises in Lewes.

“Whale watching is more popular in the early spring and late fall when the whales are migrating,” said Reardon. “But dolphins are much more common. You’re almost guaranteed to see them.”

Fisherman’s Wharf offers two-hour dolphin watch cruises weekends in May, daily from June through August and weekends in September and early October. Cost is $25 for adults, $15 for kids 6-12 and free for ages 5 and under.

A three-hour dolphin and whale watch tour is offered Friday to Sunday in May, then daily until Sept. 1, with a few exceptions. Cost is $40 for adults, $25 for kids 6-12 and free for ages 5 and under.

Fisherman’s Wharf also offers a variety of fishing trips, full day and half day, and private charters.

For reservations, see the website or call 1-302-645-TUNA (8862).

Cape Water Tours and Taxi, based in Lewes, features a dolphin watching cruise with the Marine Education Research and Rehabilitation Institute, throughout the summer on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

The 1½-hour tours offer cruisers the chance to learn about marine mammals and even help collect data on local wildlife as a “marine biologist for a day.”

Cost is $22 for children up to age 11, $29 for ages 12-59 and $27 for seniors 60 and up and for all military personnel.

The company's “Eco Tour” is a cruise guided by experienced birders and naturalists along the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal with a focus on birds, crabs and other coastal wildlife. Herons, ospreys, grebes, and bald eagles are commonly seen.

The 1½-hour cruises are offered Mondays and Saturdays throughout the summer. Cost is is $24 for children up to age 11, $30 for ages 12-59 and $28 for seniors 60 and up and for all military personnel.

For reservations, see the website or call 302-644-7334.

Back Bay Tours in Ocean View, near Bethany Beach, specializes in private charter cruises and fishing trips. An example of one of the company’s nature cruises is the sandbar exploration tour to see shorebirds, blue crabs, spider crabs, horseshoe crabs, hermit crabs and shells for $375 for six people, $25 for each additional person, with a maximum of 12.

Relaxing cruises

Back Bay Tours also offers 1½-hour public sunset cruises from May to late September for $45 per person, a leisurely tour of the back waters of Indian River Bay and the open bay while watching the sun go down.

For reservations, see the website or call 302-539-0707.

Cape Water Tours and Taxi features a variety of evening cruises throughout the summer, such as one departing from the Grove Park-Rehoboth Museum dock at 511 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach.

The 1½-hour cruises take passengers along the Lewes-Rehoboth canal, the Rehoboth Bay and Thompson’s Island. Cost is $26 for children up to age 11, $34 for ages 12-59 and $32 for seniors 60 and up and for all military personnel.

The company also has cruises with live music.

At Fisherman’s Wharf, Reardon said their most popular cruise is the evening sunset cruise.

The narrated tour travels the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal, the Roosevelt Inlet and the Delaware Bay. Dates are Thursdays to Saturdays starting May 9, then Mondays to Saturdays June to August.

Cost is $25 for ages 13 and up, $15 for kids 6-12 and free for ages 5 and under.

Advice on how to dress, what to bring, busiest times

Reardon recommends wearing sneakers or shoes with a grip because sometimes boat surfaces can be slippery when wet and the boat may sway back and forth a bit.

“Check the weather. You may need a light jacket in case of a sudden shower or if it gets a little chilly out on the water, especially in the evening,” Reardon said.

Binoculars can come in handy to get an even better view of wildlife.

Also, ask your cruise provider if you’re allowed to bring food and drinks or if they will be sold on board.

What's the easiest time to book a cruise? The father in advance you can make recommendations, the more choices you'll have, Reardon said. The busiest times in the summer are weekends especially after schools are out, while weekdays are usually a little slower.
