The leader was over the top. Personable, funny, extremely knowledgeable, patient and forthcoming with tidbits of knowledge that made the trip a very memorable experience. Because of the trip design and the high performance of the crew, I will use Intrepid for my next Africa trip and recommend to all travelers I meet.

The itinerary was inclusive of every destination & variety you could wish for, accommodation was really nice, the included dinners were really delicious, the activities interesting & varied. In all, a wonderful memorable (for all the right reasons) small group tour, the right length of time & the best tour guide ever.

Best tour guide ever!! Our tour guide, Marco was the key. He was very knowledgeable, extremely flexible ant completely supportive. The accommodations with the exception of the Naples hotel were stellar. The add ons to the trip were fun, affordable and a taste of the Amalfi coast. Date of experience: May 12, 2024.

They also have higher ethics than most travel companies, they contribute to local charities and they avoid animal use (donkeys etc) where possible. We did an Intrepid trip to Cambodia and to Thailand- both were excellent. All the activities were wonderful, the staff were helpful, kind and informative at each attraction. We highly recommend Intrepid travel for their quality of service and taking off any stress from the holiday. Date of experience: January 01, 2024.

Long travel times- Expect to spend long hours in the bus. It would have probably best to fly rather than wasting a whole day in a bus. Accommodation- a lot of the hotels didn't have a lift, so be prepared to do so some heavy lifting. Activities- a lot of the activities are not included, so expect a few surprises.

Many recent reviews are pointing to a sharp decline in quality and service with Intrepid. My recent experience echoes all that has been mentioned. They are appalling at responding to serious concerns. I have countless auto responses from its laughingly useless and lazy customer service department.

Gorillas and Game Parks. Gorillas and Game Parks was an awesome experience and trip. The Intrepid crew was great and very professional. The driving times were quite long, longer than listed, but we stopped every few hours for a break. The tents were in great shape and comfortable. Date of experience: 07 February 2024.

Housing is genrelly simple and transports can be rough, so if you like comfort and luxury select another travel agency. But if you are up for a little adventure Intrepid is the way to go. (Review is based on trips to Peru, Mexico, Croatia and Morocco). Date of experience: 01 January 2024. Useful.

Intrepid Travel is great for a more mature audience. I don't mean antiques with canes but rather 12 to 49 year olds that don't want to drink the night away. A Dream Trip to Egypt. Intrepid's 8-day Egypt itinerary was jam-packed but balanced by fun evenings and travels that kept it fun and exciting. Our excellent local guide Mo was with us throughout the trip. Sharing a wealth of knowledge in the most perfect manner and the friend/fixer you need while traveling.

The quality of the bus was outrageous, and all travelers agreed on this. We saw buses of the same size, but of better quality, on the way so they do exist. That Intepid does not feel the need to renew its fleet of buses can only be described as stingy. Date of experience: March 02, 2024.
